902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the easiest way to sell litecoins? on: May 07, 2013, 10:37:44 AM
LTC->BTC->Coinbase->Bank Deposit
that translate to very low fees so you get the most bang for your coin

.2% trade fee->.01 withdraw fee->1% Coinbase fee + $.15 Bank transfer fee

Once bank account verified (2-3 days) then transfer happens within 3-4 days.  Easiest way to move crypto back to useless fiat on the planet....   minus localbitcoins or through friends/family.

906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Crypots hurting prices? on: May 03, 2013, 02:55:37 AM
I believe the recent drop in BTC is due to BFL finally delivering.

That would mean miners have to dump as soon as they get coin. I don't think many miners are dumb enough after spending the money they did to dump so low.

I'm implying that non miners are taking profit. The miners want high dollar value for their ROI.

1000FC for 25LTC is the price a week ago or so. Many (including me) would be willing to double this offer.

I don't wanna spoil your business, just giving some advice about market prices.

We appreciate your concern and we understand the market prices.  With 3 years of building BTC and LTC projects we understand the historic growth of a stable, enduring coin.  We think FTC can succeed if the community stays with it.  We also have our reasons why "market prices" don't dictate our valuation of this coin.
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTB] FTC with LTC | Offering up to 5000 LTC | LTC Remaining = 5000 on: May 02, 2013, 08:40:52 PM
No, the math is right. At the price they are giving, Price = $.0875/FTC.

It is their logic which is wrong! Haven't you been reading the trollbox? Clearly the Real Market Price of FTC = $875/FTC

We trade @ BTC-e but with disableChat ON.  Makes for a much better day of trading  Wink  https://www.btc-e.com/disableChat

That should be $.875, not .0875 correct?

No $.0875 is correct.  Sorry if it's confusing.  It's easier math if you look at 25LTC to 1000FTC.  That's 1 FTC per .025 LTC which at current rates of 1 LTC = $3.5 is $.0875 per FTC.

Hope that helps.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Request for SHA-3 coin on: May 02, 2013, 07:38:45 PM
Hey, whoever is going to launch a new altcoin! Why don't u use Keccak-256? We need something non-archaic (not SHA256 nor Scrypt). SHA-3 will let to bring into mining business new people, who don't own ASICs nor GPU rigs. Could be an interesting experiment.  Wink

913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [WTB] FTC with LTC | Offering up to 5000 LTC | LTC Remaining = 5000 on: May 02, 2013, 07:36:11 PM
We have started investing in Feathercoin and have allocated up to 5000 LTC for purchasing power.
There is no minimum amount of FTC to qualify for our LTC purchases.  We are buying at a .025 LTC/1.0 FTC ratio (25 LTC per 1000 FTC).  This is firm and non-negotiable.  If you value your “hard earned” FTC at more than this offer we understand and do not judge.  This is the amount our group agreed upon in order to release 5000 LTC for purchasing.

PM us with the amount of FTC you wish to sell for LTC along with an LTC address for our purchase payment.  We will use this thread as a ledger for the transactions so the community can keep us all honest.

Use this Feathercoin address for this initial acquisition of coins:
71h8j2bPgAqS5ApK9NpYy7KQGeSk6BfnTn

Current stats:
1.0 LTC/1.0 USD : $3.5/$1
.025 LTC/1.0 FTC : $0.0875

What will we be doing with these coins?
Development of future tools, resources, outlets, etc… geared toward Feathercoin.  We will only spend time, money and resources on something we have a vested interest in.  This is only logical.

Will our buying ratio change?
We predict the answer is no.  Our group of investors feel like this valuation is more on the high side for a new coin without many distinguishable features.  All the “long” coins that have endured many battles & tests have all started out and sustained a valuation of $.10 or less for the majority of the first year in existence.  We are not interested in the peaks and valleys of new exchanges trading in FTC and the early dreams of fast money.  This purchase plan is to invest in a coin we think has endurance and the start of a grassroots following not unlike LTC or BTC in the early days.  As I mentioned above, we will only spend time, money and resources on something we have a vested interest in.

Who goes first?
You go first.  If you question our reputation we will gladly provide past transactions that validate our legitimacy.

Thanks for your consideration,
Cheers,

Paul

914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to send USD to BTC-e.com on: May 01, 2013, 03:04:18 AM
i've used both Dwolla (in the old days) and LiqPay to get USD into BTC-e.  I still recommend bringing BTC into that exchange over anything else.  Even if BTC is lower than other exchanges the LTC/BTC ratio is leaning towards LTC and stays pretty stable.  Sometimes BTC on there is higher than Gox but it's rare and short lived.  I prefer buying BTC on BTC-e because I can cash it out later on Coinbase for profit because it's based on Gox average.

Items out of stock now have a "Out of Stock" stamp on them on all results pages. Brilliant!

Let me know if it's taking a ton of time to load pages for anyone.  We're getting long delays on our end since we implemented the stamp.  We may need to create a better way to have this convenience if it's slowing down navigation for all.

Researching a better method for this...

We added a watermark on our "out of stock" items for better viewing.  Let us know if it's slowing down the shopping experience.  We're still looking for a better solution for this.  Great suggestion btw!

It's gone, but seemingly just as slow without it. LOL

Yep. Our YSlow rating is a 71 which gives us a C grade. Not good enough for me or our customers.  We're addressing the scaleability issues on the cart side and hosting side.
