Excuse my ignorance here, but I've been away for several days and don't have the time right now to dig through the thread for information. How can I claim my airdrop coins? And how much did we each end up getting? I'm assuming the 5,000 limit of signups was reached here...
It wasn't reached, final participants number is 2970 and all of us got 282 coins. To claim them go to wallet.decred.org create a new wallet and specify your seed that you've generated when you confirmed your share. Awesome, thanks for the response on this. Can't complain about getting more

Wow I was gone for a few days... forgot to leave my wallet staking It's up and running now. Already grabbed a few PoS blocks

So if I keep my miners pointed at the pool mining testnet coins, and the official launch occurs, will it just switch over automatically and be mining live net coins without any intervention on my side?

The volume this coin has on the yobit ICO is pretty amazing. A lot of people are spending some good amounts of BTC on this garbage that has literally no future. I don't understand I guess people will buy anything these days.
I'm willing to bet 90% of those buys consist of pure manipulation. If dev or one of his cronies start buying them people might think it has value and put in their own orders. Those people probably deserve what they get but.... still doesn't make it right.

Mining difficulty is taking a nice downturn. Just means more BTCU for the rest of us From almost touched 1 PTH/S on first day to 57 TH/s today. That's way down turn in mining power. I guess people are loosing interest in coin; or it's because mining 25/20 coin a block is getting expensive. This is true, probably just wanted a piece of the pie and are waiting to stake. Speaking of staking... Wonder if the exchanges will clear out a bit once that kicks in. BTCU does has lot of potential (Bitcoin Parity) Just the matter; how Dev handles and delivers. Lot of people are interested who are working behind curtain and trying to manipulate market. I never saw huge amount of PUMP and DUMP that I witnessed with BTCU; although first 50 TOP address remains same ; or say they keep growing. I am still confused; even after 100K premine, and around 400K with TOP 50 address; how can is this possible? I think the price changing you're seeing looks so drastic partly because there's simply not much but support right this moment. So it only takes a small chunk relative to the network, maybe 10k to really drive it down to where it is.

At http://hashpower.co you can mine using sha256, scrypt, neonscrypt, quark, qubit, x11, lyra2v2, argon2, x13 .... and have the payout be in BTCU... Basically Hashpower.co is BTCU's first MULTIPOOL... For your information... Off topic a bit here, but your post count says "leet"... I didn't know that happened here, first time I saw it. DON'T EVER POST AGAIN YOU WILL RUIN IT

@ocminer
Do you know what address and port number the pool will use when decred officially launches on Monday? Wasn't sure if you were going to change it. I will be away from my gear with no internet access during launch and I'm trying to get this sucker started through a scheduled task.
Will remain the same. Sorry if I missed that earlier, didn't want to dig through the thread. Thanks!

Safecex has been added to coinmarketcap in addition to Yobit for pricing...
( You are welcome! )
Excellent! as for your staking comments, I pretty much agree with all you've stated. As for the network being weak on nodes when PoW ends, I can tell you mine will be live and staking so there's a +1

Doesn't look like there's much activity going on here... PoS wallet where art thou in haven ? It's looking pretty bad to me. Big dumps and silence here. Abandon ship?!

What about keeping some of the coins hot for use/development and putting the bulk in to cold storage so they don't stake?

"michael Chan" just got handled by BITMAIN themselves. rekt m8 You should have thought this one through a little harder. Scamming will never end well. I suggest you quit while you're ahead.

I have been using localbitcoins from 2 years probably, never had any problems with any trades so far, whether it is buying/selling, it literally takes minutes.
I second this. Feedback scores/reviews seem to be really helpful on that site. I've picked good ones and have never had a problem.

We are fast approaching another decrease in POW rewards, less than 100 blocks away

I'll buy the entire premine from you for .01 BTC total so I can destroy this abomination.

Hey dev, do you have any plans on releasing a Raspberry Pi or Android wallet? I think this would be really great for staking It's a great idea. Would be nice for dpos start, but I wouldn't expect this till a little later. Launch did happen only a week ago at this point.
