921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: May 31, 2023, 07:19:23 PM
Well, its just common sense but we know that not all would really be having those actual realizations on which they would really be believing on whats into their mind which is something that people should really be avoiding on doing so because this would really be creating that bad and wrong impression and mindset towards gambling. This isnt something that could be considered as a source of income because we know that
when it comes to risks then this one goes up to the roof.Only fools would really be believing on such condition but there are actually people who do make a living but of course we are speaking about here
on those poker gamers and to those who are really good on sports betting too or any other card game which it is really that having that strategic ways of approach.

You would really be chasing up your losses if you arent really that good on having that self control or simply with having that moderation towards your gambling habits or activities which it would really be something
a must thing to be done.

In every single discussion we have about this the fine line remains between pleasure, unhealthy behavior and horrible addiction. Pleasure is a good argument and it also implies a healthy approach as nobody would call it a pleasure when they are actually losing serious money - unless they can afford it, but that would still not really feel very pleasurable.

The so called pros are rarely successful forever and those times also have drastically changed in poker as well. When someone takes money that they can afford to lose and play some rounds on the weekends or whenever they want, that's cool. But calling it a steady source of income at any point is problematic because of the word "income".

If you play a large poker tournament and you win big prize money, does that mean it is steady income? No you could get lucky and win a huge jackpot that allows you to live without working for 10 years, but it is still not steady income.

It is funny when you see those casino streamers and they pretend to be earning all the time. Let me ask them then why don't they stop streaming and only play the casino Cheesy Because their casino gaming is no steady income ever. Their streaming is when they have a big number of followers.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 31, 2023, 07:11:22 PM
Sevilla have very good experience and record in the Europa, they have a really experienced goalkeeper and a striker that can score. Roma are not playing with five defenders but just three, even though the midfielders will be dropping back deep, Sevilla can play wide and make the Roma defenders leave space behind for them to play into. The two teams will be playing with full intentions to win so they can get a qualification for the champions league.  The stadium is full with supporters, this game will be certainly interesting.

The intention to win is obvious. Nobody plays a final just for the sake of playing it. If you play it, you want to win it. The first few minutes are interesting as both had their first corner and Roma had a first shot, but as expected Sevilla has the ball possession. Though Roma doesn't care about that.

Finally Mou decided to let Dybala play. I think this is the right decision and perhaps also the perfect moment to give him a chance to be part of the starting team. But when it is true that he has fitness problems, it could be a danger that he can't go the whole game, which can then turn into a disadvantage.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 24, 2023, 07:37:44 PM

Im not willing to take the risk in this game. Dortmund is surely trying to go all in the last match against mainz. I think that i shall remind you that if dortmund won in the previous meeting against mainz. Im sure that edin knew so well what was the weakness point from mainz.
Since this match will be determining the winner of bundesliga and im sure that edin will be using all of its power to win against mainz.
If we look at normal time odds it seems too small for Dortmund and it won't be able to generate enough money if we bet using 1x2 odds. For other options, such as over goal results starting at 2.75 with odds @1.25 and in my opinion that is still too small unless we dare to take over 3.25 with new odds @1.44 it is quite worth what we are betting.

But the -1.75 handicap betting option with @1.55 odds for Dortmund's win looks good too and we seem to be given a lot of options that are quite risky if we want to get more decent odds. My prediction is that Dortmund will score more than 2 goals in this match and to ensure victory they have to be ahead by 3 goals from Mainz, otherwise Mainz can catch up. But I still hope that Dortmund will win in the last match to determine the league title this season.

The odds on this one aren't worth it. The bookmakers are sure about the outcome and you would have to be willing to select some crazy bets in order to get a decent win on this game. Over 4 goals gives you odds quite far below 2. More than 4 goals is not even unrealistic, but it would still be an outlier and is definitely not the norm to see 5 goals no matter how important this game is. I have had a look at all the betting options across different providers and there is really nothing that struck me as being worth a bet.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 24, 2023, 06:32:01 PM
Inter's best friend in that game is the time. As long as they can keep Manchester City busy and use up their energy while not scoring a goal, Inter is still in the game. But Manchester City won't rush it and they will also take care that they are not running into some stupid counter attack and give Inter what they actually want.

If Manchester city was to lose the finals to inter Milan then it won't be because of inter Milan brilliance but instead because of Pep Guardiola overthinking. Pep Guardiola has so many players to choose from that sometimes it becomes a problem for him. This problem didn't start this season as if you remember Manchester city first final against Chelsea that Chelsea went on to win then and lift the trophy.

Manchester city were the superior side in that feature but because of Pep Guardiola's overthinking problem (he played that game without a defensive midfielder) and they lost because of losing the midfield to Chelsea. Inter Milan has to just defend Manchester city initial attack then play them on the  counter to get just one goal then park the buss because if they try to play man for man with Manchester city, they'll lose. Manchester city cna bring on 5 substation that'll change the dynamic of the game entirely due to the qualities this substitute will have.

Indeed, but I think it is not merely due to Pep Guardiola's overthinking. First of all, losses can happen even if you are the superior team. There have been other finals where one team dominated the whole game and the other team won, but not due to overthinking. Against Chelsea you are right, that was a tactical mistake. But at the same time Inter's strategy only works when they do get a goal. Although it is an option for them to go the full distance and still have a 50% win chance when it ends in penalties.

But if Inter gets the goal, it is much more difficult because they can immediately park the bus as you said. That won't be fun for Manchester City anymore. There is no guarantee that a goal from distance will happen like Manchester City did against Bayern Munich in the first leg or against Real Madrid. But I am still on the fence whether Inter will try to keep a reasonable attack rate throughout the game until they get their goal or whether they will park the bus very early on in the game, betting on some lucky goal or accept a game without goals to make it into extra time. Because they know that that would make Manchester City very nervous.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 24, 2023, 06:21:48 PM
The old advice given by the previous generations about going to college and getting a good job may have been true back then, but it is not true now anymore, and if anything it could be a huge financial burden from which many are unable to escape, after all at least on the US a great deal of students attend college thanks to student loans, which means that colleges can offer all kind of useless courses knowing very well that after those students finish their careers they have no chance at all to get the jobs they want.

Regrettably, a weird incongruence also developed over time between education and a degree. Education is always good and who would I be to say the opposite. But a lot of students or young people are not after the education in the first place, but after the degree. There is a difference as that diluted the quality of education a lot since some universities understood the trend, started charging higher tuition fees but at the same time made it easier to pass the exams.

We often talk about hyperinflation concerning currencies, but there is also hyperinflation in people obtaining degrees. It is not only the people who are to blame, but also the employers and society as a whole. In some countries it is almost worthless to send your application if you are not able to attach a degree to it. It has become so normal and pervasive that employers take it as a given that everyone went through higher education, which is actually a bad trend.

In regards to financial literacy, it depends on what type of education you are talking about. Hands-on experience in my opinion is at least as important as specific education. You can read all the books you want, but as soon as you trade yourself you get a better understanding of market dynamics. An academic career in finance can help you learn fancy formulas, but you can gather most of the required subject matter on the Internet. Reading and understanding financial reports, but also gathering news from reputable economics and finance websites or more basic news outlets and then putting those news into a coherent economic and social context. This is something you can only develop over time by constantly consuming relevant news sources and broadening your horizon.

If you better know how to place your trades in your early 20s than you know in your 40s, you have probably done something wrong - or you have done a lot of things right in your early 20s and are sipping Pina Coladas 24 hours a day on the beach of your own island Wink

Not many investments had the potential to make you so filthy rich with even small investments that you could afford your own island. I am only aware of one investment that had the potential and that was Bitcoin  Cool
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 23, 2023, 10:59:40 PM
Inter really need some good level of luck against Manchester City as well. Because only their effort might not be enough to become the champions. They would have really difficult times against Manchester City throughout the match in my opinion. Manchester City would like to dominate the whole match just as they did against Real Madrid in the rematch. There is only one thing which seems reasonable to do for Inter side here. It is to defend like hell. Because there is really no other way out for Inter in this.

None of us can deny the fact that Inter are highly underdog side here and the only way they might stand a chance is to try to wear out the players of your opponent. However I have my doubts about their defending against a this much strong team. We all must have watched how they played against Napoli in the Serie A recently. I think Manchester City are highly likely to destroy them if these defensive weaknesses at Inter can't be solved.

Inter's best friend in that game is the time. As long as they can keep Manchester City busy and use up their energy while not scoring a goal, Inter is still in the game. But Manchester City won't rush it and they will also take care that they are not running into some stupid counter attack and give Inter what they actually want. Manchester City will play this one with a lot of patience and drain Inter's mental and physical resources slowly. Defending can be very hard if you have to pay attention to the details in every second. That is how Manchester City will keep pressing during that game until Inter finally fails to close that little gap. These gaps will exist more often as the game goes on. That will be some of the highest and demanding tactics in that game.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: May 23, 2023, 08:59:52 PM
A boy won #38,000,000 ($82340.19) with just #400 ($0.87) and when the boy brought home his win, the biological father of the boy rejected the money because it was gotten from gambling. So that makes me to think how people look or see or think of gambling. Is gambling a bad thing to do? As for me gambling is not a bad something but the individual can be bad and also the way you present yourself in the society can also tell people about your personality.
How do you see the father? Was he right by rejecting the son gambling win?

First of all, we have to know the family background of the man who won the gambling. why, this is important for our assessment to be more objective. however because we have no other information, apart from what is available in this thread. automatically, there will be many different responses from the community. in fact, I can't be sure why the father refused the money his son gave just because of a gambling win. even so, we can categorize it in the closest and simplest conclusion. maybe, there is a background with a belief held by the man's family. This speculation is far more relevant than assuming something we don't know. in fact, what his father did was entirely his right and we can't assume too much. in fact, it doesn't matter if the father refuses a gift from the son. because of that, is their problem between son and father.

It could also be, the father is not used to being given something from his son. why, there is idealism here. the father feels that he is the head of the family. thus, he was not used to receiving gifts from his son. but for sure, a person has a different point of view. in fact, what you suspect is not necessarily true like that. because, there are many reasons behind the refusal.

As you said it is all about assumptions and we do not have sufficient background information to derive any proper conclusions. Yet, there are many "ifs" that make this an interesting discussion regardless. Even "if" this was about belief and religion, would the belief still justify that action if this was a once in a lifetime chance for the son, the son is not addicted, would now have the money to get education and is eager to start a business and give back to the people around him. What "if" that is true, should religion still have the final word or be the only driver for the final decision? It is possible that the son has a big heart, or he was desperate and felt he had to change something in no time and got lucky. Belief and religion can be powerful, but when comes the point where it also starts to undermine positive fate?
It is an interesting post and it would be awesome to have more background information.

In the Finals there is no team we can underestimate. Because those who made it to the Final level were of course the team that had proven their strength by defeating every team that pushed through each stage. So that Inter Milan also cannot be underestimated. In fact, I still remember that in the quarter-finals I favored Benfica. Because Benfica is amazing in their Local League. But surprisingly Inter Milan can beat Benfica well. Although I agree that Man City does have advantages from all aspects. But sometimes in football luck also plays an important role. So that there are many surprising match results in football.

I am not underestimating the surprises of teams, but one thing is certain which I believe Manchester City will beat Inter. There is different between having a smooth ride and struggle ride, Manchester City throughout their journey had everything easy, they at a point had Real Madrid on their neck but trash them in the second leg as if it wasn't semi final while Inter where struggling to defeat other teams, their match against Milan was luck and they made it out, now I think that luck ended in that stage. Manchester City will take their time to win this match which after they will go and lift the FA cup again.

Luck doesn't end when we think it will end. It ends when it actually ends Smiley

It wouldn't be the fest time that a team overcame difficult hurdles and struggles one after another only to then also win the final game.

If you want I can give you an intriguing example from the past. Do you remember who won the Champions League in 2010? You are right, Inter Milan. They had to beat not only Chelsea, but in the semi-finals also one of the strongest Barcelona teams we have ever seen managed by Pep Guariola. source

In the final Bayern Munich was waiting for them and Inter Milan showed a rock solid performance and scored two goals out of the very few chances they had.

931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Algorithm for selecting a low-fee transaction from the mempool on: May 19, 2023, 07:22:42 PM
So you say it is purely a greedy algorithm?
It's not that there's a certain algorithm which miners have to follow that.
Miners are free to include any valid transaction they want. They can even include a transaction with zero fee, but they include transactions with highest fee rates to maximize their profit.

So to be precise, I'm not saying what algorithm miners should follow. Of course miners are free to choose any transaction they want (or even censor specific ones, despite if this means a lower reward for them).

What I am asking is what algorithm miners/mining pools typically follow.

I have asked a very similar question here and o_e_l_e_o kindly answered in detail. If you read that post I think everything should be answered. Miners will process transactions paying the highest fees and they are constantly building a "candidate" block which is adjusted on a highest fee first principle until the next block gets mined. Even if you are part of the candidate block for a second, your tx will only confirm once it is part of the candidate block that then also gets mined. Until your tx could be dropped and another one paying a higher fee be included instead. This is why I thought broadcasting a tx when fees are low in a certain moment will also ensure that your tx gets processed, but that was wrong because it could still get dropped again if the block hasn't been mined and a higher fee tx gets preferred over yours.

933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the transaction fee and mempool congestion increasing ? on: May 14, 2023, 12:57:40 PM
Am I good to go with blockchair or is there another place you guys here are using/preferring?
Blockchair tends to suggest a fairly reasonable fee, so you are fine to keep using it. Generally, however, I suggest using https://mempool.space/ instead, since they give a very nice selection of 4 different fees for no/low/medium/high priority.

If you want to get more advanced, then take a look at https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC%20(default%20mempool),8h,weight, read the text under the graph, and see if you can understand what it is showing you. This lets you then pick a fee yourself and place your transaction exactly where you would like in the mempool, as well as taking in to account things like if the mempool is filling or emptying.

Okay I followed your advice and Hoenicke's website is of great help when when it comes to choosing transaction fees and understanding the mempool in general. I wanted to share an observation, which hopefully motivates others to use it as well. With a little bit of effort you can quickly develop a decent understanding of the metrics provided.

I had the website running after o_e_l_e_o recommended it to me and I noticed that crash in the upper picture and instantly checked blockchair.com. What happened is that four blocks were found within just one minute, causing the estimated transaction fee for the next block to drop drastically, but only for a short period of time. I instantly tried to initiate a small tx and sneaked it in at something around 40 sats/b. It worked, but until this block 789,273 was mined it took until 20:10 (time as per Hoenicke's website). The fee to get your transaction included rose rapidly. I took another screenshot but I skip to share it here as I don't to want to turn this thread into an art gallery. The recommended fee by blockchair.com was back to 190 sats/b at 20:00 already and rose to as much as 233 sats/b on average by the time the block was mined.

There is one technical thing that I don't fully understand. As you can see at 19:41 block 789,278 was mined and the next one was at 20:10. I made my transaction at 19:45 and it worked like a charm. When a block has not yet been mined, miners keep adding transactions that they are going to include into the next block if they find it. They usually do it based on the 'highest transaction fee first' principle. If the fees drop drastically because there was a longer sequence of blocks found within a very short period of time and the tx count in the mempool drops significantly (as can be seen in my screenshot), how do miners choose and commit to transactions being executed? And are they making final decisions when they create their list of transactions that are going to be included? If I broadcast my tx at around 19:45 with 40 sats/b, but the block has not yet been mined, could a miner still drop my tx and replace it with another one that is offering a higher fee? When is the miner's decision final?

Bottom line is when I observe such a drop in the mempool and place my tx instantly according to what info I can extract from Hoenicke's website, will it always get executed if I hit the sweet spot for the fee right in that moment even if the average fee increases manyfold if it takes longer to find the next block?

934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 13, 2023, 08:12:04 PM
But how good is Joao Felix really? I know that he is strong with the ball and can accelerate very well and go into driblings, but is he really the offender that Chelsea needs? He has only 25 goals to his name in almost four years for Atletico Madrid. The numbers Chelsea is moving around for transfers are astronomical. If they decide to spend so much money anyway, why aren't they trying to get someone who could be even more expensive, but has an inbuilt goal scoring insurance so to say. Chelsea has a heavy problem in their offensive game with 34 goals in 34 games. I can't believe that these numbers are true, but they are. Joao Felix won't solve that problem.

On the one hand in Atlético it's difficult to have high goalscoring figures, but on the other hand I remember Joao Felix in the World Cup - he was really good in movement, in activity, in dribbling, but he had terrible goal-scoring chances, he missed too many good chances to goal. Can he get seriously better in this indicator? Don't know. Vinicius has become (he used to be terrible too), but Vinicius is now 22, and Felix is already 23.

Ok you've got a point there. Being a top scorer with like 30 goals or even more per season when you play for Atletico Madrid is "physically" almost impossible as they don't score, but rather defend. Tongue

But I was more thinking about the infinite amounts of money that Chelsea is spending anyway. Atletico paid 126 million Euro for Joao Felix and we can now only speculate what they will ask from Chelsea. That is not going to be anywhere below 100 million Euro. Is he worth the money?

I agree that he is great at dribblings and movement, but you need players who have some inbuilt effectiveness when it comes to scoring goals. He doesn't have that.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 13, 2023, 08:05:15 PM
I don't think Milan will have to rush. Two goals advantage is not three, they can be won back in one half. This season we have seen many games where the team missed such an advantage literally in the last minutes of the match and even more games when it happened during the half. Milan should first of all try not to worsen their position and then score. If the situation doesn't improve then they can go all-in in the last 15-20 minutes of the game.
AC Milan have to win three goals above if they want to qualify for the final stage in Champion League on second leg against Inter Milan, I think its very difficult thing considering that Inter will play the second leg as hosts even if it's in the same stadium, San Siro or Giuseppe Meazza stadium. Last few hours, Milan loss from Spezia in domestic league and their player rotation for Champion League match not playing well, right now Milan on crucial situation between domestic league or Champion League. If can't winning Champion League tittle they will absent next season participants in Champion League because loss many points in domestic league and make them difficult for finish this season in top fourth standings place.

To be more precise, the least they have to do is to equalize the game with two goals difference. I think it would be a huge performance if they could save themselves into a penalty shootout, but there aren't really any serious indications that AC Milan could have a realistic chance in the next game against Inter. But compared to some other matches, the difference here is that it is still their stadium where they are playing. It is not the typical away game. I don't know how the tickets get distributed and whether fans from both teams try to purchase some on the black market, but I would assume that it is still feeling a lot more like playing home than if they had to go to England or Spain.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 13, 2023, 01:56:51 PM

Dortmund are just waiting for Munich to slip with a draw or defeat so they can't win the league this season, Dortmund seems to be focused on the remaining final matches of the season compared to Munich it seems that Dortmund's opponents are easier than Munich, I think Dortmund always has the possibility to win the league in this season because the difference is only 1 points with Munich, if Munich loses or draws in the next match then Dortmund are ready to shift them.

Many changes when Munich changed their coach and there is also a lot that needs to be fixed from their squad team as well so that Munich in the next season must pay attention to this and overhaul everything for the better, but besides that Munich is currently only focused on hunting to win the league and sweep net remaining games at the end of the season

There is nothing else Dortmund can do at this point and it is now even more in favor of Bayern Munich since they took the lead in the game against Schalke. It would need even more than a holy miracle now to see Schalke win a point in this game.

I am looking forward to any upcoming changes for the next season. There is a lot of work that needs to be done at Bayern Munich. The strength of the squad is a bit deceptive because the names are all strong, but they are not dominating the gams anymore like they used to in the past. This Bayern-like dominance is gone. Usually they don't allow their opponents to even breath, but now they are allowing countless of chances against them or miss their own chances.
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: May 13, 2023, 01:52:26 PM

China is a totalitarian dump, and food has nothing to do with it. Read, for example, the monstrous story about Peng Shuai - this tennis player (moreover, world-famous) simply disappeared when she accused an official of sexual violence. Imagine what happens to ordinary people there. I don't think there should be any international competition in shitty countries like China.

If FIFA agrees that the internal politics of a country immediately disqualify it to be a host, then I can say it is fair to reconsider China. In those cases still I would like to see the World Cup be host in the closest location to the Chinese culture, Taiwan is highly democratic and free but the political tensions between China and Taiwan would also disqualify it, some people would not feel safe being there and I do not know if a country like Vietnam or Mongolia has the economical resources to invest them in hosting an important event like that...

Politics suck and it creeped its way into global sports at a scale that for a long time has been overlooked too much or not realized by the masses. Now that we have all the media at hand where we can inform ourselves from all kinds of sources, it is obvious that sports is not primarily about sports, it is primarily about politics I am referring to the big events here like the World Cup or the European Cup. In national sports there is also politics involved, but by far not as much as it is internationally.

There has to be a fine line between judging the host for political circumstances and the ability to actually host an event of that magnitude. But to be serious here, the hope that a host could change their political approach or put tensions with their enemies to rest because sports is supposed to help pacify conflicts, that is a myth. We have seen that with Russia when they hosted the World Cup in 2018 and four years later it rained bombs on Ukraine's civilization. Sad

In my opinion the second list is more accurate. Of course, I also disagree with such a low assessment of Croatia and I think that Croatia, Denmark and the Netherlands should be quoted equally. Otherwise, everything is more or less fair, especially given the randomness of what is happening in the playoffs.

LOL.. Croatia is far ahead of the other two. When was the last time that Danmark performed well in a major international tournament? The same goes for Netherlands as well. These two are dying teams within the UEFA confederation. Danmark failed to win even a single match during FIFA World Cup of 2022. They lost to Australia and France, and then were held by Tunisia for a goalless draw. Netherlands somehow managed to get to the round of 16, partly due to their karate and MMA skills on field. But in the quarter-finals, they got destroyed by Argentina.

You keep being biased against Argentina  Wink "Destroyed" by Argentina is that what they call a miserable lottery win now?  Grin
Regarding Croatia, I think the bookies rate them so low because this team is on a downtrend (due to age), while the Netherlands, on the contrary, have a young team and theoretically they should be getting stronger. I can’t say anything about Denmark, but the fact that they haven’t won anything for a long time is not an argument for European teams - there is too much competition and even top teams can be without titles for decades.

Yes, destroyed. No need to be sarcastic here KTChampions! Argentina destroyed the Netherlands 2-2 in regular time. Then Argentina destroyed the Netherlands 0-0 in overtime. Finally, Argentina destroyedthe Netherlands 4-3 in the penalty shootout after being behind 1-2 when Fernandez even missed his penalty. That's a very obvious case to me. The Netherlands never, at any point in the game, had a chance to win it! Cheesy

But it doesn't stop there!

In the final Argentina destroyed France 2-2 in regular time. Then Argentina destroyed France 1-1 in overtime before they destroyed France in the penalty shootout.

Any questions?

But to contribute to the EURO discussion here, asserting that France has no competition besides England is nonsense. Even if some of the teams are not as good as we usually expect them to be, there is still Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, but also Portugal, a team that I would not underestimate. France is by far the best team in terms of the individual quality of their players. But there were wonders in the past, for instance when Greece won and that left everyone in disbelief and consternation. But this is how these tournaments play out. When out of a sudden an underdog grows beyond their limits, it is sometimes hard to stop them the further they make it in a tournament as those limits become higher and higher.

France having the best chances to win it as per the odds is justified, but we won't see them making a clean sweep.

I still believe that Real Madrid will win at the Etihad Stadium, even though City have dominated everyone at this stadium. I can't say that the task is easy as City beat Schalke 7-0, Arsenal 4-0, Liverpool 4-0, Bayern Munich 3-1, Chelsea and Tottenham 4-1 each. So yes, City is terrifying at home.

But that's not the whole story, when Real Madrid went to Manchester in 2000 to face the strongest team in the world at the time (Manchester United) after drawing 0-0 in Santiago Bernabeu, they were told: you can't win at Old Trafford because the Reds had not lost at home that season, nor had they lost at their home stadium for a year and a half!

Real Madrid's response was to lead 3-0 in 53 minutes, then win 3-2, qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League and then win the title.

Winning away from home is Real Madrid's specialty, you could ask that to Liverpool at least, this season they only lost at Anfield to Leeds United but lost to Real Madrid, or ask Barcelona how they lost the Copa del Rey after a 4-0 defeat at the Camp Nou, even though they had only lost once before in a match that didn't affect anything.

In short, City is very strong at home but if anyone can stop them it's Real Madrid and the matter is conditional on Karim Benzema returning to form, without him Real Madrid will not qualify and none of their best players are performing well.

And from our knowledge of Benzema, he's really capable of returning.

Everything is open in the return match, can't wait to see how things will go but I'm pretty sure it'll be such a really good game.

Nothing is lost yet for Real Madrid as we are still speaking about Real Madrid and not Elche or Getafe. I think everyone agrees that Real Madrid isn't going there without any chances. They are too strong and the result was a draw, not a loss by 3 goals.

But Real Madrid missed the chance to put themselves into a good starting position for the second leg. Especially when the first leg ends closely like a draw or a 1 goal difference only, I think it is a significant advantage if you play the second leg at home. That's not like a walkover into the next round, but it is an advantage.

You went back to the year 2000 to find an example that comes close to the conditions now between Manchester City and Real Madrid. The reason is that more often than not the home team is winning. But nobody who followed the Champions League in recent years forgot what Real Madrid did in this competition.

Chelsea selling Cucurella after a season? I really doubt this. Only thing I can read is Cucurella being offered in swap deal for Felix which I think could be possible but then again I have my doubts as they will be left with only one option- Chilwell as a left back.
Chelsea needs strikers, it is a good idea to swap Cucurella with Felix. But I don't think Felix performed quite well so far, he even did some bad performances previously. Even if Cehsela succeeds to swap Cucurella with Felix, they still need other strikers. They must plan to look for 2 top strikers in the next transfer windows to strengthen their attacking line.
Chelsea are trying to convince Atletico Madrid to swap Chelsea players with Felix, it is reported that with two players Aubameyang and Cucurella is this possible because it is felt that Chelsea will not be strong enough to make Felix permanent by buying.

Not so impressive for Felix for half a season maybe he hasn't found his identity with Chelsea but if he had stayed longer maybe he would have been much better as his performance.

Because Chelsea's current badness all affects its players so they can't do their best for Chelsea.
