921  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cycles, this is the cyclical minimum on: December 11, 2022, 03:26:00 PM
We are bang on the low. Forget stock market correlation. Forget alt coins. Forget stocks and shares.

Buy bitcoin (and gold and silver)

Hold on tight
Yeah, I am also having thoughts like we may not get chances to buy bitcoins lower than $20k levels if we miss the current opportunities also the current prices may not last for long as we know bitcoin market may enter into bullish to sideways movement in the new year after year long bearish mode. So, I agree that we are about to see bullish markets and current market scenarios may become history.

Going by bitcoin cycle is highly recommended way to crack easy profits or to catch possible bottom prices of bitcoin markets. I am not sure how many of us going to make use of current market scenarios but I do keep suggesting this community to buy regularly for not missing out any good dips.
922  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin high prediction 2023? on: December 11, 2022, 02:21:32 PM
I know we are likely to drop further in the first few months of 2023 but I am curious to know how high we all feel Bitcoin can reach later in the year before 2024?
As per usual 4 year cycle of bitcoin, we may have the current bear market only up to the first month of 2023 hence you may expect bitcoin market to recover somehow after that. 90% of chances of 2023 to remain as sideways market which include some recovery from the current price levels.

In 2024 mid, we have halving and usually the halving year is known for getting back to ATH. It means by end of 2024, bitcoin market may trade again around $60k levels. So, the current periods are very good opportunity for buying and holding and I am sure if you manage to buy now and hold then by end of 2025, you may see yourself richer by 10 times. Because, bitcoin market is known for growing 10x from ATH to ATH but now you get chances to buy lower than current ATH.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: December 10, 2022, 09:51:30 PM
Commissions for dormant accounts on rypto gambling platforms can be considered both a good idea and a bad one.

For a casino, this is a great way to remove % from players under a plausible pretext. Of course, they will gladly take such a step.

This is bad for players because they will lose some of their money. But this can be considered as renting a bank cell or something like that, that is, as providing services for storing the player's funds on the casino account.

15% of the player's balance is too much commission in such cases. A more acceptable value would be 1.5% or so.
I remember I have an account before on this brand xxx online casino but they delete it because I haven't login on it for a long time. I think that action made by them is mandatory and maybe they do that to lessen the load on their platform.

The casino that the op is talking about is still kind because they don't delete those inactive accounts that still has a balance left on them but they just deduct some money on it as a kind of fee for their trouble. I know there are people who comment negatively about it thinking that the casino is too greedy and are taking advantage of its customers' money. I can't totally blame them. They only know less.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com: "Sometimes Provably Fair" on: December 10, 2022, 08:56:21 PM
The problem is that there is a limited time frame in which a player can obtain the un-hashed server seed.
Not 100% sure that's true but a player should be able to verify the bet they made even after a period has passed.

If Stake.com have imposed a deadline on server seed retrieval, I think it's a reasonable expectation that players be informed that there is a restriction on server seed retrieval and what that restricted time frame is exactly.
Completely agree but I won't make any statements unless stake confirms about the same. I mean these guys have been behind PD who introduced how provaby fair works so I would not expect them to be unreasonable with stake.

And I agree, the server seed should be revealed within the bet once the bet result is out since it won't be used again, right?
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 10, 2022, 08:35:02 PM
This is totally disappointing to see the performance of Pakistan's batsmen. Such a poor performance was not expected. Pakistan lost their third wicket for 142 runs. And they lost all the wickets to collect only 60 runs. The batsmen should have batted more responsibly. Batting like this, it is foolish to expect good results against a team like England.

England scored 202 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their second innings. And now they have managed to take a lead of 281 runs. I think England will declare their innings even if they take a lead of 400 runs. But taking a lead of 400 runs will not be easy for England.
Yeah, totally disappointment from their performance in first two test matches as I was expecting strength in batting after poor performance in first test match, but sadly they are not working on this and have few poor selections like Mohammad Nawaz and Salman both are not good with having few better choices, but they are stick with these surely make no sense because Fawad and Shan moth deserved chance but nothing positive happening for the team and these players.

After end of two days play we have 25 wickets and England is leading by 282 which is very healthy on this pitch as you are going to play fourth inning hopefully tomorrow after having 400+ they will declare and give Pakistan more than two days for chase which will never do this because of their batting quality is not good for having target like this.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: December 10, 2022, 07:22:40 PM
Even though ChatGPT is popular, I would not give the decision to artificial intelligence. I better use my way of analyzing the team and choosing the team. Besides, I don't know if it's a good decision to use it or if it won't work well.

After all, this artificial intelligence still needs to be developed even better and while this artificial intelligence, we can still use the method as usual.
Well, you have to understand that AI has been developed a lot these days and it's not just about data but these scripts take into account all the information like where the event is going to be held and what are the past results, etc. I think such a technology will be very useful in e-sports betting because there a big margin or advantage is based on drafting. For example in dota2 you have to pick heroes and based on what you picked these AI bots can certainly tell us who has the upper hand and of course it still needs to be played out well.

I just voted NO poll because I don't believe the AI chose the right bet for me let alone made me lose a lot of money because the bet looks like any bet is not suitable also using this advanced technology it's better to use the analysis available on google
The analysis you see on google are done by individuals as well who tend to make money by placing ads around their predictions and remember if they were that good, they would be printing money instead of giving out predictions for free xD.

After taking 12 wickets 282 runs of Australia on first day Pakistan is all set to bat now . Pakistan scored 107 runs 2 wickets gone and Is going on full swing ,Babar Azam is very much in form.  I think this test  will go in favour of Pakistan.
Pakistan balling was outstanding today and they surprised us with that now we will see either it's the pitch or ballers who made  this possible.
Abrar Ahmed who is making his debut took 7 wickets and it is not because of the pitch but he surprised the England batsman with his spell and another spinner playing his second Test took the rest of the wickets. If it was all about the pitch, England would have done that to Pakistan. So the advantage here is for Pakistan and if they are able to score a good first innings lead that would change the match upside down.
There is no doubt its historical debut for the mystery bowler and class which Pakistan was lacking into first test match At Rawalpindi he wrote his name in history books as third-best debut for the Pakistan cricket history hopefully this will go long for them, and he will be able to achieve good things in his career even these all are too early but still good start but England still going to on their Bazball and having amazing start of the second test match just 51 overs and 281 runs on board look like they are going to change test as one of the most entertaining format with their aggressive approach which is having new era of English cricket history under the captaincy of Ben Stokes and coaching of Brendon McCollum.

At the end of first day we have 107 for 2 by Pakistan with Babar is still on crease with his 61 and Saud is also doing good job as 32 runs, and we have 56 runs partnership now this is key due for them on crease if they are able to stay for some time then surely they could be on right side otherwise they can go down like in first test match they have done few mistakes and pay for this as well.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Discussion Thread on: December 09, 2022, 07:02:01 PM
Brazil's second-row squad may have underperformed against Cameroon, but every player in their second row is very talented. Apart from Neymar, the rest of the forwards, I think are all of the same quality. Vini, Rodrygo, Raphinha and Richarlison are all very talented. The Brazil team attacked a lot against Cameroon, but they were defeated by Cameroon's defensive gameplay. Croatia will probably play defensively in today's match as well. So the Brazil coach will have to come up with a new match strategy today if they want to win.
Plus they did not really "care" as much, do we really think that Brazil is not as good as Cameroon? Or they are just incapable of beating them even with their second line up?

They would have destroyed, but between not wanting to get injured by playing too hard, not wanting to get tired in case anyone from the first squad gets injured so second unit needs to be ready to take their place, and just overall wanted to relax and rest a bit, that game was just unimportant and Cameroon played with their 100% while Brazil wasn't even showing 50%, and even with that, a few unlucky shots was the difference maker. We all know if it was win or go home type of game, they would have humiliated Cameroon six ways to Sunday.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 08, 2022, 09:11:33 AM
it is always advised to be cautious of locations one frequents, especially places where we have these spin machines; it is to save cash by preventing losing too much in the games and from unplanned mishap that might befall one when in the midst of such a surrounding.
It can be physical or online casino and it can be spins or dices or betting or any type of gambling, you must have a pre-determined budget and a well prepared mindset to lose all your allocated funds. It means once you reach your budget for the day, you should be able to quit gambling and leave the premises (or shutting down the device for the case of online gambling). I strongly believe this could be the only security measurement a gambler go practicing.

We cannot do anything when a casino tricks us with their rigged games. But, we can stop ourselves to prevent losing more. Having a mature mindset to accept losses and profits in a same way is the key thing, I am trying to emphasize here.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 08, 2022, 04:01:41 AM
Brazil - Argentina is the semi-final that most people want to see. But what would it be like if Croatia - the Netherlands got? Both countries have never become world champions and have had very strong teams and players for years. Modric has already won everything in his career, but the European Championship or World Cup title is still missing. I expect France to reach the final on the other side of the schedule. The most logical would be the final France - Brazil, but are we waiting for that? People are often for the underdogs.
Even most of the teams are looking Argentina vs Brazil into semifinal, but things are not easy because right now all four teams are level in quality and their performance is also not bad at all which is surely signal for them any team can win and go into last four with I also have feeling we can expect dominance of European teams in last four is also possible, but prediction is never been easy as most of the players are in good touch and have ability to fight for the national team and win.

Neymar is fit and Messi is also on his highest level, so now most of the matches are going to be entertaining because all players are giving their best for title and no team is weak with Morocco is the giant killer after sending Belgium and Spain back to home early.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: December 07, 2022, 08:44:40 PM
how is it possible for Croatia to give good resistance to Brazil while against Japan it was held in a draw, lucky Croatia was able to win on penalties, don't expect to beat Brazil either because we see that the squad teams from the two are very different, of course Brazil is very superior here, Croatia will stop at next quarter-final
Because as we all are aware of the fact that in football, we never know what's going to happen. I do agree that it's not going to be that easy for them to end up with a good result, and 90% chance that Brazil will have an easy win, there is no argument there.

But that small 10% chance tells me that Croatio could play badly against Japan because they underestimated them and that was the result, barely got out of it, whereas they would end up playing much better against Brazil and could end up with a win if they play hard. Not saying that is what we will see, as I said before that is the small chance, but it is also not impossible neither and we should not see this game as piece of cake.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 07, 2022, 08:05:34 PM
As a newbie who has a little knowledge of cryptocurrency but much interest in purchasing bitcoin for a long time Hodl, since the purchasing capital is not included in my spendable budget and the price of bitcoin is not very high at the moment 16k, what should be my fear?
Another big thing that we should not forget when we are starting is where to safely store it as well. Many people put their money in a ledger nano or a trezor because that is the safest. However, if you do not have too much, then that would be a big part of the capital as well, getting one would cost you near 100 bucks with shipment to my nation, so if you are investing anything under 1000 then spending 100 to store 900 doesn't make sense, just put it on binance and store it there.

So depending on how much you want to buy, how you store it matters, could be metamask, or trust wallet, or binance or even a hardware wallet like ledger nano, make sure you pick the right one.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Tournament Discussion Thread for Qatar 2022 on: December 07, 2022, 06:02:42 PM
Portugal's quarter final match is going to be against Morocco. I would honestly say that given the form that Portugal is in, Morocco doesn't stand a chance. The most probable semi-final lineup looks like this:

Argentina vs Brazil
England vs Portugal

In the second semi-final, I assumed that England would be able to secure a spot, by defeating France in the QF match. Now predicting the winner of QF match between England and France is extremely difficult, as both the teams are in good form. But I went with England, as I thought that they had a better team balance when compared to France.
I am sure that people said the same thing about Morocco vs Spain as well, who would have thought that Spain would play this badly and lose to Morocco but they did and thats what happened.

Looking at Portugal and their 6-1 win, everyone thinks that Portugal is amazing and great and that is why we are going to see them dominate Morocco and will be an easy game, but let's remember what pundits were saying before the Spain game and what they are saying now, same thing, so the result could also be the same. Nothing in the world of football is guaranteed, all games start 0-0 and no team is at any advantage, anything could happen in that 90 minutes, and we should be ready for it.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum hold onto its tag of the largest altcoin on: December 06, 2022, 06:39:02 AM
With its dominance in DeFis, NFTs, and widespread prominence Ethereum will continue to hold the crown of the largest altcoin. With the merger with ETH 2.0, Ethereum’s hold would further grow stronger.

According to our Ethereum price prediction by Coinpedia. The largest altcoin’s price could propel to a maximum of $2303.7793 by the end of 2025.
I highly doubt that anything could pass it in the near future. It will keep on being the second biggest coin of all time, and I am guessing that when the bull run comes we are going to see it grow to a point where it will definitely rival bitcoin for a while. It never goes over it, but the difference between them do get closer to each other and I feel like the moment we have something like 10-20% difference, it will be done, people who have money will try to make  t happen.

It will not be a great period in crypto because it might actually be the reason why bitcoin could die, it's not the best tech anyway, so if it's ever passed, it may go down too much.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: December 05, 2022, 05:59:11 PM
Expectations will always be there for Bitcoin especially for long term. Many are hoping that Bitcoin can finally reverse its current trend and go back to the bull market, many are expecting this to happen early next year. Other altcoins will surely follow and that is Bitcoin leads the whole market. BTC should really be the best option for long term, but its advisable to diversify so its good as well to have some altcoins.
Even if this s true we still nee to be careful, when it comes to the markets our timing is really important, while investing in bitcoin is a good idea some traders may then think that it is a good idea to invest in altcoins as well, but this is not correct, there are many altcoins which have yet to disappear during this bear market, so it is important to stay away from them and only invest in them if the bull run is already underway.
I feel like timing is not as important when you get as it is when you get out. You could buy bitcoin at any point, it could be at 17k, it could be at 67k, sure it would be sad if you bought at the top, and you would be upset about it, but you could buy more and more and recover that, there is a solution to it and that's the good part about it.

However, if you bought even at bottom, even if at 16k, and sold now at 17k and then the price went to 100k, that would be sad and there is no recovery for that, you would have to buy along the way again for higher than what you sold, and sell again later when it's even higher, not the ideal situation to be in at all.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 05, 2022, 01:14:03 PM
Chelsea coach Graham Potter is not very experienced. The most renowned club he has coached in his career is Chelsea. So it would be foolish to expect him to bring the Chelsea team to the title, or to improve Chelsea's performance very quickly. We are not sure if Graham Potter will be able to do anything good at all. So I don't have much faith in Graham Potter. Thomas Tuchal was more experienced than Potter. He could not stabilize the team this season. Chelsea need talented players now. I don't think Chelsea's performance will improve if they don't add talented players to the team.
It is understandable that we wouldn't see them succeed on their first year with him, and he didn't even controlled the transfer window neither, he wasn't here, and he was put in charge a lot later which is a proof that Chelsea is not ready to play his style just yet.

However, if given enough time I believe that he could turn the team around and be a lot better, will be a bit difficult to handle but he can totally do that if given the chance. They will have a bit of bad results until they settle, but if given the chance for another year next season, he will do a lot better if you ask me, with all this money it is hard not to be a lot better.
937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Shall we create a small chat room to communicate? on: December 04, 2022, 08:34:44 PM
From my my concept i don't think that creating a group a telegram group chat is ideals, because i believe that the community of bitcointalk is due to process or listen any information that concerns cryptocurrency and other various function of cryptocurrency, i believe that here will give you whatever you want concerning information of cryptocurrency trading.
A forum is different from a small chat like in telegram because exchanging messages there are instant. The only problem with tg is that so many scammers lurks on there. Anyone can pretend to be someone else which is scary while here in the forum, we have newbie protection here. So, not anyone can message you privately. On some forum, there is a chat box function.

I do not know if that is also possible to implement on this kind of forum we have but if it is then great. People can have fun there chatting when they are bored. There is no need for us to go to any other third party sites as they can be very risky. Bitcointalk forum is already a one stop shop for all of our crypto needs.
938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 04, 2022, 06:49:02 PM
It is really unbelievable that Bangladesh has defeated a strong team like India. If India could have scored 170 runs in the match, then India would have won this match very easily, but the runs that India scored were not suitable runs for them to win. However, Bangladesh bowled very well in this match.  All the batsmen took wickets, due to which India could not score many runs.
After having nine wickets tactics were not good from Rohit Sharma and bowlers which helps Bangladesh to win this match specially while you are defending target like 187 you can't be relaxed even you have nine wickets because now cricket is really amazing thing and any player can change things on his day as we have in today match from Mahdi Miraz who was mentored and done amazing job with the help of Mustafizi both play very quick game and achieve their target of 51 runs in only eight overs which is also amazing stuff because they play freely without any pressure which is big win for them specially while you are playing against team like India which is best in job and have services of the best bowlers and leaders in their squad.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: December 04, 2022, 03:56:10 PM
After the completion of the Twitter deal and Elon Musk's official acquisition of it, it became clear to us that he had involved himself in buying a platform whose value may not be worth half the amount he paid to buy it. The platform has been making losses since 2009, I think. And since Elon Musk is a businessman, one of his priorities is to increase the platform's revenue in every possible way.

At first, he laid off half of the employees, then lifted the ban on a percentage of the suspended accounts, and then presented a project to sell the verified badge for $8 per month. All of them, of course, were not to achieve the expected revenues.
Perhaps launching a platform-specific currency is in the same direction, but it would be a not very successful move either.
That has been clear from the start, and that is why he keeps trying to promote "look how great it become after I bought it!!" since he got the company. I mean have you ever seen any person trying to show how good of a job they did, when they actually did a good job? If you did it, you shut and up and work and people will see how good it is, if you keep on promoting how good things are, that means it's mostly a lie.

And even if it is actually doing good like he said, it's not making a profit like it should, and the price was more than double what it really worths so it's not going to be worth what he paid for many many years, even if everything goes well.
940  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Japan fall behind in the crypto industry ? on: December 04, 2022, 01:09:32 PM
As one of the world's leading economies with countless cutting edge technologies, Japan has maintained its high-profile status for many decades. Even in this World Cup, Japan has defeated Germany and Spain, striving to the next level of competition. It seems that Japan does not need to prove to be a great nation to the world. However, in the crypto industry, we barely heard anything great from Japan, no leading blockchain ecosystem or any cryptocurrency exchange alike. Why ? Please correct me if I am wrong.
I think they don't need to buy cryptocurrency or support cryptocurrency just because Satoshi Nakamoto is a Japanese name. We all have our own choices in life, on where to invest or risk our money. But I believe Japanese government are not that strict when it comes to cryptocurrency, if I'm not mistaken, you could use cryptocurrency to buy products in their country, correct me if I'm wrong though.
I would guess that they do not support it just because of Satoshi name, but because of the tech behind it. I know we do not like to bring racial stereotypes into discussion, but this is a good one I believe; Japanese people are amazing at new technology.

It means that the type of people who can build robots, could also be interested in crypto because it's a brand new version of something they already knew. Money but improved version basically and they are tech oriented nation so they liked it. That is the main starting point but we haven't really improved all that much since the first time it was created, so no new development may have caused them to lose interest.
