I think there is a lot of future in that industry (I have a friend making big bucks in fact) but if you want people to trust you you will have to work a lot harder. The Bitcoin community has already been fleeced so many times that very few people are still willing to throw their money into ventures with so little information. If you do decide to provide more information about your plan and yourself and others who will take part in the venture I'm sure some of us might consider investing something.

"5btc buy order and got dumped check history...

also I m a proud onwer of the whole memorandum of association of neo and bee. I m in an office with 3 lawyers. I can freeze there assets any time just show evidence"

I have a hard time believing you're a lawyer at all.

BTCAPPLES needs some investigating.

BTCAPPLES saw signs of a sinking ship and decided to jump overboard, investigate him, please.

Do you ever have those moments of realization where you do not appreciate what you have, and then realize that you're being really greedy? And keep saying to yourself, I'm going to cash out as soon as the price hits this, or this price again. Well, I had that moment, I realized that I would rather be in a sound investment scenario like real estate rather than in a company who has a CEO who hasn't been on any of his social media outlets, hasn't made a single public announcement, hasn't given any updates when promised. I am speaking in the third person about myself btw.

+1

I also got out today just minutes before the closure. Am i suspicious too?

Hi guys,

Haven't run off with the money (there still is no money or BTC from our HF refund). I'd never do that. Just super bummed from all the negativity, the trolling, the bickering, manufacturers failing us over and over, and me working 7 days a week for months doing this as a second job for peanuts (actually negative not-so peanuts). I just got so sick of it esp. since I was working for less than free and couldn't take it any more.

This was an experiment in democracy in mining and trying to deal with the inevitable network difficulty rise but I/we've surrendered the pre-order GB market when we used to offer many of the best pre-order deals around because most of these manufacturers can't meet their deadlines. Others can deal with high risk pre-orders but I'm done with pre-orders from ASIC mfgs.

I've been exploring other job options while trying to cram for a particular Microsoft cert for a job I'm trying to get. I've cut back my forum presence but I'm still looking at opportunities in the cryptoeconomy.

WRT case news: these things take time but the Texas court granted a TRO against HF for about 218 BTC so regardless of how the case turns out they've been ordered to hold onto BTC of this amount till the end of the case.

BTW, from the email leak thread going on over email: even people that have asked for USD refunds from HF have had to wait for over a month in some cases.

That's good news IMO. Thanks for keeping up with this and good luck with your job search!

I sold 30k shares at 0.0024, I have no risk, I have claimed my profits and I am onto the next venture.

Good for you, but if you also got out you must have also seen some kind of red flag.
930  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: March 28, 2014, 05:40:02 PM
Im shallow but you're the one that criticizes a business because they wanted nothing to do with you.

Not because of that, but because I don't think it's professional to advertise that they're eager to expand internationally and to assist people interested in doing so and then not even bothering to reply to these people after taking the effort of writing an introductory message. To me that's a perfect example of all spin and no substance.

But hey, as I said, that's just my opinion and I do hope you will make a nice return. For me, the risk is just too high.

932  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: March 28, 2014, 05:28:28 PM
Probably because the guy who pitched it to them has an avatar of the Trololo guy on his bitcointalk.org account.

I would've disregarded the e-mail as well.

Well, in that case, if Danny is as shallow as yourself and considers an avatar in a forum as a reason enough to disregard someone without reading a bit through my history or my reputation, I'm even more glad I got out.
933  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: March 28, 2014, 05:23:16 PM
Thehun:

So you lost faith because they didn't reply to an email you sent them about a totally unrealistic business proposition?

How terrible of them...

I'll make sure to sell my car if Toyota refuses to reply to an email I send them...

How exactly do you know the business proposition was unrealistic?

(I'm not even going to reply to your stupid Toyota comparison)
934  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: March 28, 2014, 04:25:28 PM
I have until recently been a supporter, but I just finished selling all my shares at this moment. The reason? Beyond trolls, critics and fanboys, whose opinions I have been reading and carefully taking with a grain of salt, I have had a negative personal experience which has made me get out of this venture.

So here is the story: I really liked (and still like) the idea behind Neo. Bringing the world of Bitcoin to the masses beyond tecchie nerds like most of us is a dream, and Neo's plan seemed quite sound (even though they lacked some financial planning) and feasible. All the way up to the IPO communication has been great from both Danny and the PR guy, and there was one part of the press communicate after the IPO which really caught my attention:

International Expansions

There is significant interest from individuals and groups to expand the Neo and Bee brand internationally, as well as interest from others who wish to emulate what Neo has started. We are willing to help anyone who wants to build professional services in the Bitcoin space, including those that wish to emulate what we are doing here. More professional businesses aimed at the masses will only serve as good thing for Bitcoin.

Coincidentally, I was about to move to Argentina, a country with shares many similarities with Cyprus (recent bail-in, distrust in the banking system, stringent capital controls, etc), with the idea of starting some kind of business and I thought I had seen the light (as I have some relevant experience and many contacts in the country). Immediately I got in touch with Danny and also the NEO-PR guy introducing myself thinking that at least they would get back to me even if it was to say "sorry, not interested in that market" or "we already have someone". Now, 3 weeks have passed since I wrote to them and I haven't heard back a single word. Nothing, nada, nichts.

So, if this is the interest they show in "expanding the business" (added of course to the general recent lack of communication), I don't want to take part in the venture any longer. I sincerely do hope that investors who decided to stay will succeed and make a nice profit, but for me the game is over with a 20% loss.

Hi Adeel,

As bitcoin mining difficulty is skyrocketing and electricity cost may overcome mining bitcoins profit sooner than later, we need to know the policy when we will stop having coins and how to do with existing hardware-- selling to existing stakeholders (if someone is interested to buy hardware that has cheap/free electricity- solar/wind) and distribute revenue.

However, it has been a great journey with ASIC mining.

Thanks,
RiseOfTH

Very good point, although I don't think we'll get very much for them when we get to that point (even with free electricity the return won't be very high)
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use of Bitcoin for international B2B commerce (import/export)? on: March 17, 2014, 12:30:16 AM
Absolutely. In fact I think bitcoin will revolutionize this space.

We currently send between $15K ~ $40K USD overseas each week using traditional payment infrastructure. It is timely and expensive.

I am currently in the process of working out how to best use bitcoin to pay our suppliers. They are scared/confused and do not want to accept it standalone so I am trying to use it as method of sending fiat quickly overseas, rather than simply sending bitcoins to the supplier. Either way would work our far cheaper and more efficient than what we are currently doing.

We currently use bitcoin for international B2C trade and it is far superior than any other method I've used. Quick, irreversible payments have allowed us to do business in some very tough markets. See our order map here.

Thanks, it's good to get some feedback from someone who is actually in the field.

I guess the intermediate option of sending BTC to make the seller get fiat quickly (I have done this personally to send money to Argentina through a contact on Localbitcoins) is a first step in the right direction but of course the person/company exchanging the BTC at the destination will want to get his/her cut and it will increase the cost of the transaction.

How much do you think you could save if you used BTC for your B2B payments?
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Use of Bitcoin for international B2B commerce (import/export)? on: March 16, 2014, 11:45:56 PM
Do you think BTC could be used for international B2B trade? Could it eventually replace the USD as the de facto currency for international transactions?

I can see several advantages for companies that adopt BTC for their import/export operations:

- lower transaction fees (no banks involved)
- letter of credit (high fees) could be implemented in a more economic way (through a trusted escrow service)
- the trade would be probably considered as barter (as BTC is not considered a currency but a commodity), thus possibly reducing taxes/import duties
- avoidance of currency manipulation by Government (in countries with parallel currency markets like Argentina or Venezuela)
- instant and provable transfer of money

Could it be implemented legally? What issues can you think about?
