921  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you believe is needed for crypto currencies to be mass adopted? on: March 15, 2018, 11:29:26 AM
Bitcoin will be mass adopted if the same government will fully support it. But at current situation, its not clear. But still, if there are more merchants will support in accepting bitcoin, I think  it will make an impact. For example if there is a Merchant Association worldwide that will agree to support bitcoin and other cryptos then its easy to roll out it. There must  be a template for that like in other financials so that accepting bitcoin template is uniformed.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum below $600 on: March 15, 2018, 11:17:20 AM
very unpleasant situation. We really need money, but I do not want to change the ETH at this rate. I hope to raise at least 1,000

Same situation here. I want to convert but with prevailing price,  it discourages me. It is painful to see that our  portfolio continue to sunk even losing more 1/4 of its value. But still I am hopeful that it will recover but its too long to the end of the year. Another sacrifice again.  Huh
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you deal with friends/family when they lose their investment? on: March 14, 2018, 11:12:19 AM
I think its better to explain to him the situation  and advise him that bitcoin investment involves risk. Also, better to hold since bitcoin is quite stable at $10,000 dollar, if you sell at losing price there is no way to recover if you do not by back. Again, better to invest only what you can afford to lose.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOMOCOIN best buy right now ? on: March 12, 2018, 12:01:07 PM
I just asked the team and 2018 Q4 is the official release and ICO platform and sometime 2019 Q1 masternodes lunch,
so it's a year long hold but I like to believe gains will be huge then taking into account the small market cap now and that they will compete with Ethereum in a year.

Thats a possibility, because TOMO Coin is like Ethereum or a copycat of it. I will review again this coin because I know it ahs great potential too same like ELLA which is like a copycat of Ethereum too.
925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Germany Ministry of Finance Says Not to Tax Bitcoin Purchases on: March 10, 2018, 06:20:37 AM
In doing so, Bitcoin's development in Germany may exceed that of other Asian countries, because their government can do no restrictions on Bitcoin and will not participate in any of them.

I love this development from Germany, they are always very supportive of new and rising technology. Yes, I agree with that bitcoin usage will rise since its government that is very supportive. Next to this , we will witness more shops sprouting to accept bitcoin on their front display.

926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers? on: March 10, 2018, 06:10:31 AM
I wasn't using 2fa everywhere since recently when i started to receive a lot of password recovery request from btc exchanges and few casino so updated my email and turned on 2fa everywhere it is possible so now i feel little more safe.

This is the right thing to do, to activate the 2FA features for added security. Recently with the flooding of airdrops, there is a rise also of  reported hack accounts. This is maybe due to some which is collecting emails  for phishing purposes. Also, some are accidentally inputting their private keys. Be careful always when filling forms.
927  Other / Meta / Re: Can jr members give merits for posts on: March 10, 2018, 05:44:27 AM
Yes, if you have sMerits (sendable Merits). As a Jr, by default you don't have a sendable Merits, but you can earn it. Every time you earn or get  merits, half of it is sendable Merits. Continue to post more  quality replies so that you can earn more Merits. Good luck.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a beginner is it too late ? on: March 10, 2018, 05:34:27 AM
It is never too late in investing on bitcoin, you can start whenever you think you are ready. And if you are ready, you will know when to invest the better.

Currently there are approximately 100 million people who use crypto. And the world population stands at 7.5 billion. Only around 1% of the world population is using crypto, which means that there is still scope for plenty of growth. So right now, it is not late to make investments in crypto.

I believe so, it not too late. Bitcoin is barely 10 years old, and in my opinion bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is here to stay. I mean the blockchain technology has so much applications. As long as there is blockchain and its application, cryptcurrency is alive. Adding to that, as long as there is you and me who are supporting this innovative technology, bitcoin will stay.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Homeless use Bitcoin on: March 09, 2018, 04:44:39 AM
I like this as some sort of bitcoin awareness, that it goes down to these level. Whether this true or this man simply put it to let anyone know " the modern day beggar" in the future but yeah it amazed  me. Because knowing bitcoin, takes some a little technical knowledge. It means this man is well updated whats happening in digital world, take note homeless man is reading a book and  has a QR code Smiley

931  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you get the latest news? :) on: March 09, 2018, 03:28:10 AM
I get my news  from newsbtc and cointelegraph for crptocurrency updates. Also I am always checking my twitter account for more fresh  updates and projects. There are many resources to choose from especially on social media. If also, do not forget to roam around here in bitcointalk, tons of information is here.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT DEAD on: March 09, 2018, 02:08:40 AM
Bitcoin is not dead lol. The price is getting low but bitcoin will not die quickly we can recover it in somehow. Many people thought bitcoin is secretly dying I just wanted to say that its wrong Bitcoin will back soon to higher value.

yeah, bitcoin is still alive and healthy. bitcoin just only at the red condition in the market.
soon, bitcoin will back to green. it is now the chance for us to buy more bitcoins.

Of course, as long as we are here willing to support this cryptocurrency , this project will continue to thrive. That's why its better to build a community of  supporters because its the one who sustain the project what endeavor it may pursued in the future. There are many also establishment support bitcoin, which means it will become more stronger in the future.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to Bitconnect? on: March 09, 2018, 01:55:54 AM
Its a scam already. Though they managed to have a last pump, but  it will not last long. They are already  subpoenaed with their violations. I think its better to look another good project, something that is stable and legit. There are many options in coinmarketcap.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Set your goals for today on: March 08, 2018, 11:39:47 AM
Todays goal:
BTC $11,000
ETH $900
XRP $1
LTC $205
Goal setting is a good habit if you are in control in every situation. But setting a goal in price of a coin is not in our control specially if it is a daily goal. Maybe you can use goal setting in a long term but there is still no guarantee when will it happen.

I agree with you, so that you can have focus on it to achieve whatever is it. But  with the goals here with  cryptocurrencies especially its price, I dont know what OP's plan is. Is OP wants to sell on that price? It his OP's goal to reach that target to sell or what? What happens if your goals is reach?

I think goal setting is more focus on future undertaken and plans.
935  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ❗ Attention Binance users ❗ on: March 08, 2018, 11:27:38 AM
I must say that Binance has really handled this in an excellent way. I also hope this serves as a reminder to always check the address of the website you're on before logging in.
Can't believe that so many people still get hacked through phishing. Also, keep 2FA on at all times.

I really hope that this news gets picked up by some of the bigger Bitcoin news websites.

Indeed, having 2FA is more secure. Also, AFAIK the hacking incident is on its API's where in those using  it was only affected like in using robot in trading. If a hacker knows your code, then they can make transaction on your behalf and play with your funds. i hope this will get clarified.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RED EVERY WHERE. on: March 08, 2018, 11:06:53 AM
Yesterday there were a lot of sell orders. Whales at the same time exhibited a very large number. Most likely all decided to buy cheaper. Yesterday there was a lot of negative news, this is the second reason for the big fall. But this is not for long.
I think this is normal. FUD is everywhere from Binance  hacking / or API's disaster which resulted losses to some trade to regulations everywhere. Maybe after this first quarter, we can recover slowly until the second quarter. Just monitor the dips and if you have some extra funds its  an opportunity to buy.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dangerous ? on: February 11, 2018, 03:55:34 AM
I do not see that bitcoin is dangerous, first, it was created as another means of currency, and it is tk halp battle inflation or recession, during the time of 2008, people were looking for ways on how to improve the finances and bitcoin being easy to mine at that time, some looked at bitcoin as ways on hiw they get out of poverty. Second, bitcoin is much more economical, you do not need to prinet or mint, it is just codes, in order for us to have a much better transaction than banks, third, in the hands of good people, bitcoin will help a lot of people, bitcoin itself is not dangerous, only those people who have bad intentions will make something that is made for the good of humanity into something that will destroy us, just like nuclear power.

Bitcoin per se is not dangerous but same with fiat, it is what you will do or purpose for it may harm you. Bitcoin is  being used by some in illegal activities wherein an imminent danger is inevitable if you get caught. Also, a danger  to lose your bitcoin if you dont care to save  your private keys, you'll lost your crypto assets.
938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your Bitcoin when you Die? on: January 25, 2018, 05:45:38 AM
If I die, I'll see to it that I do have these little notebook where I've written about my bitcoins. I want to give it to my family. Or at least withdraw some every other day.
And let the interest have it's interest. In that way I can help my family to fight against poverty.

This will be a treasure for the person to be abandoned by our death. Leaving behind all the small notes or important information about how Bitcoin works to continue the work and get the results we have for our family.  Smiley

Thats for sure, but, how about no one knows your private keys? Since when you are alive you not want someone to know it because they might access your wallet? Smiley This is a good question now that should be planned for the time we demised.
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: I BUY GOLD OR BITCOIN? on: January 24, 2018, 03:00:14 PM
For me I want both but if I will only choose one, I would prefer to buy gold but my medium of payment is bitcoin. I choose gold because of the stability of value and you can easily convert it into cash.

Yeah better to divide it 50 - 50 to minimize the risk. Bitcoin can give you a good return but kind of risky too while Gold is  almost stable  but at least you have physical commodity to back it up. Gold appreciates too but not like bitcoin.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize scam on: January 24, 2018, 02:26:14 PM
Add this one too if you are an avid fan of joining signature campaigns:

"When the reward for each participant of the campaign is too good to be true."

Pretty self-explanatory. If the campaign manager is offering an unreasonable high amount of btc or even alt coins for participating the signature campaign, it's probably fishy. The campaign manager must have at least explained in their bounty how the reward system works.

I think this one is one of a good reason to be suspicious in that campaigns. As I witnessed, several campaigns already with very big promises vanishes with the money being invested. Also, if the person behind the project is controversial and anonymous. Also, if they cant come out with a good website design LOL  Cheesy
