921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Comparison of the different 1070 on: September 19, 2016, 09:04:00 PM
Never look at the set clock, you set it yourself, for a clock to hold you need good cooling
Its that easy just get the cheapest card with good cooling

few week ago here cheapest was Gainward phoenix which maybe had a top range cooler, better then MSI gaming crap and better then giga G1
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Comparison of the different 1070 on: September 18, 2016, 10:14:43 PM
Just don`t get MSI gaming 1070 they are dieing like flies, good choice would be:
Gainward phenix , Palit gamerock
Gigabyte G1
EVGA AMP, etc

Don't buy cheap basic model, they will boost less and you will lose 3-5% on hash rate
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: September 18, 2016, 04:54:39 PM
Damn MSI...  out of 5 MSi 1070 Gaming, only 3 left working ok so far  Angry Angry Angry

One worked fine for 2 weeks, but now it can only mine DCR, it fails at other algos (memory errors)

Now another problem. One caught fire yesterday night.. no OC, no overheat.. rig went down overnight, and in the morning one card has that smell.. Cry Cry Cry

Damn MSi and its sucky 1070

When did you buy them, are they with samsung memory?

Mine blow itself up also, was bought some 45 days ago and was with Samsung memory, I ask because i would like to know if MSI fixed desgn/quality problem for it
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: September 17, 2016, 05:50:40 PM
So what is best for general mining 4x 1070 or rx 480 x 6! They are the same overall price , but which one will give better profit per watt. Could anyone state it or it is not possible to be certain?

It all depend on what you gona mine!
If its ethereum, monero its deffo better on RX 470 (modded bios)

if its LBC then you will get more on 1070
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Hardware help with GTX 1070 set up on: September 17, 2016, 02:44:58 PM
For mining you don`t need fast PCI-e bandwidth at all, so don`t worry even on 1x you will get max hash rate from it, only games due loading textures need faster 16x PCI-e lanes to transfer memory data faster!

Also good 650W PSU should be enough for 2x 1070
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Hardware help with GTX 1070 set up on: September 17, 2016, 01:08:16 AM
For 1070 only the first batch had Samsung ram which can go up to ~33Mhs on ethereum, now its the micron and ~30Mhs is max

Its preferred to use 1x PCI-e so you can put 6 cards with no problems, Asrock B85 anniversary or BTC h81 pro which you find is good for six cards

For Ethereum atm any rx 470 4gb cheap is best but you must do a bios mod to get 26-27Mhs out of it, 8gb version or rx 480 aint worth the price difference
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 15, 2016, 01:20:57 AM
I'm on linux 14.04.4 with fglrx 15.20.3 and a 2gb XFX 5450 card (which works with cpp-ethereum)

i executed the following:
Code:
export GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=0
export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

then ran the prog:
Code:
./ethdcrminer64 -epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0x5ecaf01c5cC7E18555E074AA13ec13a1e9532Ca7 -epsw x -mode 1 -di 1

(I have an AMD A8 CPU with has an R7 GPU but only 512mb allocated to it so i selected to use only the second card -di 1)

but still i get a "-55 (0)" error:

any pointers?

As far I know you must have 2GB to allocate full DAG in GPU ram, so maybe in bios you can up it to 2GB or not
Aslo speed will be so low that electricity will cost the same or more

930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why price of Bitcoin too stable? on: September 13, 2016, 08:27:46 PM
The price of the bitcoin is stable because there are so many Peopel who are not spending coins at the moment and what i do know is that there are allot who dont even know the price of the coin right now.

Price of bitcoin is stable for a long time within $600 due to the decreased circulation within users as well traders and other bitcoin promoters. Recently small increase happened when circulation increased but didn't stabilize much, which is now decreasing.

I agree, also with more exchanges being hacked the trust in them is lower and lower
But price stability in long run is gr8 its one of the major chain needed for Bitcoin to full bull mod and become mainstream
With high pump and dump no sane person gona have trust in bitcoin
931  Economy / Speculation / Re: wtf is happening? btc drop on: September 13, 2016, 08:25:39 PM
I ask my self is EU policy for more tight control of Bitcoin trading and flow had any to last BTC price dump?

I would say no, but maybe some whales sow opportunity to short on BTC, i for sure not dumping nor trading with BTC, no way you can predict next dump, only thing I am sure BTC soon will be over 2000$ and traders n BTC will be in lose
But who ever wana trade i suggest to play with alt and shit coins there you can have ore luck but also more negative value if you don`t investigate in what you are betting
932  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: want to start mining on: September 13, 2016, 08:21:00 PM
GPU mining is still very profitable I am still upgrading my GPU farm, last month I switched to Nvidia to save on electricity , NW is like 50-60% less power hungry them new AMD rx 4xx which use power as match as old 28nm

If you go Nvidia I would suggest GTX 1060 or GTX 1070, per day 1070 can make ~3-3.5$ and power usage per card is 130-140w (1070)
933  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many bitcoin wallets do you have and why ? on: September 13, 2016, 08:17:51 PM
I never had a full blockchain wallet at all, started with dozen of exchanes wallet which I used for whole year only Smiley
I know it was not safe
Then made first multibit wallet, later switched to electrum BTC because ist more as cold storage with only my keys secured at paper and pc holding it being used just for it and nothing else

Have you had 2FA active, was your system updated, how complex was your password and was it unique just for that sire?

Also proff of your transfer to them
935  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC debit cards on: September 13, 2016, 08:11:30 PM
I don't use bitcoin debit card because of security reasons, but i used neteller debit card and made deposit via bitcoin with 1% only, although i just can make deposit for a little bitcoin but it is more safe for me.

I must agree, I would not feel safe to use any service with more then a 0.5btc if I don`t know who is standing behind it, shame you can only get bitpay debit card in USA so rest of the ppl are let to use more or less anonymous services Sad
I have few cards but atm none was used, and I still don`t know how to bypass local banks with low fee and be secured and safe

One is cex.io but even for them my local debit card is needed and banks can make a problem
Just trying visiting in the uquid thread, (one of the example bitcoin debit a card provider and then asking them about the bitcoin debit card how it works) a lot of them is not through the local bank but through the visa service.

I would but I am not so trustee with ppl being paid to write good info about some extra service, so far I know few person which used ADVcash and Xapo, but Bitcoin debit card usage is so low!
I presume most ppl are waiting for 2000-5000$ per BTC to start use it more

Also many ppl are using cex.io from where I am but it only for banks debit cards, I duno if anyone tried to top some Visa credit card with tham
936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy BTC in China. on: September 13, 2016, 08:07:57 PM
If you want to buy BTC in China, you need a China bank account, IIRC. Correct me if I am wrong.

Are you sure you can use china bank account to deposit cash on BTC exchange, I know they ruled banks as forbidden for buying bitcoin

Maybe exchanges using personal accounts or some other way to go over bank limitation, I know BTC exchange is not forbidden in china but buying bitcoin kinda is
Would be nice to have first hand info from someone there and real experiance

Lol  Grin Grin you can feed the whole people in your village with $2, how many are they? On more serious note people are making far more than that on steemit on daily basis.

I don`t thin so, even in my village with 2$ paper you butt would only hurt and you will get hemorrhoid and then you need to pay for medical help more then 2$, so OP beware in the end your butt can only bleed maybe steemit to me sounds as some tampon and you could try to stick it where there no sun shines  Wink

I hope you FIX POW again or else, atm its being raped by some exploit, GPU or some botnet farm, the time needed for a block is a week and not 200min as steem client say while mining with quad CPU

- abused
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC 4$ is good time to buy ? on: September 13, 2016, 06:37:09 PM
Chines are not some big believers in anything, not even in bitcoin, they are more pragmatic
They will pump if they see uprise of price

Litecoin need more adoptions and to make place by BTC in usage (which have not happened at all) that is the main reason for LTC decline, it will keep declining or leveling at this level till that happen if it happen!
