962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: These people have the power to take bitcoin mainstream overnight! on: April 25, 2015, 10:06:28 PM
I dont think they have the power to take bitcoin mainstream. Taking bitcoin mainstream would take a change in society, not a signle organization.

Widespread adoption is the key. Lots of people still think Bitcoin is for super techies or hackers.

Commericals showing the potential simplicity of Bitcoin transactions would help so yes people with lots of money could push BTC more toward widespread use.
963  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: April 25, 2015, 09:59:45 PM
Will Directbet be offering Churchill Downs?  Thanks.

Yes we will. Please check back closer to the race start time.

Well, Churchill is running right now and you are not offering.  What's up?

DirectBet going downhill fast. Multiple games I've seen again where odds are only offered for one side.

I won't bet here again until things are seriously fixed.
964  Economy / Gambling / Re: Basketball (NBA) PICKS! Wins: 7 Loses: 1 on: April 25, 2015, 09:58:29 PM
First prediction won today.

Second game starts now Smiley

Thread updated

Your prediction lost. You took the favorite Atlanta to win and the underdog Brooklyn won straight up.

I edited my prediction a few hours before the game... Because I changed my prediction.

Did you not catch that?

So it should've looked like this:

Bet type: Moneyline

My prediction: Brooklyn

Odds: 2.92

And my second prediction was with Chicago and Milwaukee which is currently happening now

You have to make new posts if you want to make edits. You can't edit sports picks and then claim you won them. Multiple people quoted you as picking Atlanta.

I wouldn't tip even if I did follow with this type of behavior.

This place is a scam.

They are currently offering +1100 on a basketball game on a team that is down by 14 points with 38 seconds left in the game.

LIVE !   Moneyline
Laboral Kutxa @ +1100

Bet365 doesn't even offer this moneyline. If they did, it would be +1000000000. There is no way that DirectBet can take a loss on this. They aren't offering odds on the winning team. There is no way that Kuxta can win this game. It's impossible. DirectBet is hoping that someone will bet the line without knowing the score.

FUCK YOU MOTHER FUCKERS.

You can see something similar to this in the baseball section right now. A team will be at -272 and the opponent at -150. Like wtf??

968  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBOOK RANKINGS ~ USER GENERATED & MOST ACCURATE (PLEASE CONTRIBUTE) on: April 24, 2015, 11:07:48 PM
I think my Nitrogen is at 1 and my DirectBet at 5.

Please adjust ratings

Nitrogen = 3

pros
-improvements to book stability
-attempting to add live odds

cons
-rigged casino
-dead poker room
-customer service is shaky depending on who you deal with

DirectBet = 3

pros
-some live lines
-one of few books to offer live odds on some games
-good customer support most of the time

cons
-bad odds
-take down lines during games at will and keep them off for no reason
-take down lines when they have potential to lose
-many games are not offered
-odds change against you before bitcoin reaches them

nice evaluation. I agree with what you wrote but I don't understand your numbers

The grading scale for this thread is based on 1-5. 1 = lowest score and 5 = highest score.

It would be nice to see why certain people are grading books 1 or 5. I see many people posting a number and nothing else. That doesn't really give any insight into what the book is offering.

Here is one of my bet from yesterday, it is still not graded, only confirmed, it is a winner bet (the match ended more than 24 hours ago)

http://www.directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=18x7rQAehiZKX8uH1xNiitZG5RUXhmuk5E

I have 2 others , one is also winner and settled as nothing , still no refund (1 BTC)
My third bet is lost and of course only this one is graded and settled as lost  (0.5 BTC) (but only after i contacted them 2nd time , NBA match from yesterday)

I will post about this issue into the 2 bookmaker rating topic and sbrforum if nothing happens here

I want to see a comment from DirectBet support regarding this.

And I agree that support seems to have gone downhill. Ever since the overhaul the odds are all messed up as well.
970  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about cryptocurency Gambling sites on: April 24, 2015, 04:53:20 PM
The good thing about fiat books is your funds are in a secure place and will not be stolen unless your computer has some malicious software already installed.

Bitcoin gambling is still in the wild west for now and anything could happpen.

In my opinion the anonimity benefits the owner of the gambling site much more than its customers.

The thought of withdrawing at fiat books makes me cringe. $20 fee + 1 week wait time to get a check from Singapore.

Bitcoin gambling is superior in EVERY way.

Pretty good day yesterday with a 3-1 record.

Interested to see what you are picking for today's games.
972  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: April 24, 2015, 04:48:31 PM

So I cannot bet on the opponent?? Ever?

Edit: Surprisingly it appeared as soon as I posted it.

This happened for the warriors/pelicans game when warriors were down by 10 going into the 2nd Quarter. I tried to bet Warriors live but odds were ONLY available for Pelicans. Most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. What's the point of live odds if you can only bet one side?

The excuse from support was "risk management". AKA "we don't want to lose money to sharp bettors."
973  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who do you think will win? (Boxing) on: April 24, 2015, 07:14:14 AM
Mayweather for sure. He is way too quick. He's gonna dance around and make it look easy.

Don't know too much about South America's use of Bitcoin but a cursory Google search shows that:

977  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Does Anybody Know Where I Can Purchase A North Korean Won? on: April 24, 2015, 05:34:22 AM
Damn now I want one. Are the bills smuggled out by tourists or are they from citizens who flea?

Most likely tourists.

I cant imagine citizens looking for amnesty caring about worthless money

Seems to be a lot of arguing in this thread. Can anyone break down what's happening?

Is there direct relation to ponzi involvement?
I tried to get moreia (the OP) into thinking I wanted to start a ponzi with him in order to build trust with him so he would give up the identity of his alleged default trust account. I was not able to build up enough trust :/

I see. Not sure why I wasn't able to see that from the original post.

Seems to be a lot of arguing in this thread. Can anyone break down what's happening?

Is there direct relation to ponzi involvement?

1. QuickSeller = AcctSeller
2. QuickSeller is using default trust to lead a smear campaign against OP, under the premise of the OP's suspected involvement in a ponzi scheme.
3. OP is pissing in the wind.
4. bool DefaultTrust = withUs || againstUs;

I like this answer the most  Tongue
