Pallas, if I send coins to the coinbase address then the coinbase balance increases and the reward for the block increases?

Nobody ever tried it, but I think it would work as you are suggesting.
I tried and I succeeded, balance the public key 0 (coinbase) increased, it's funny, you can burn the coins to redistribute their descendants

Yes, it's a side effect of the coinbase account I never though of :-)
It may be considered a feature by itself, and we could even play a bit of marketing on it...

Mega link is not working, where to download the CUDAminer?

use a more recent miner for cuda devices, like ccminer by epsylon

was it not clear?Huh

Everyone who has an bter account now has also a gate.io account.

"you login to gate.io with your current account". So, you can login to gate.io with bter user and password!

You have already an gate.io account.
Read the announcement and understand it.

Could you please point me to the announcement? I want to be sure it's a legitimate post from bter and not someone else.

https://bter.com/trade/eth_btc
is on all pairs that are transfered to gate.io
eth/btc, zec/btc, etc
in both english and chinese version

ok thanks

Good but why the hell didn't they support all the coins they did on bter? XCN has been there since the beginning in 2014, they made big money from it. What a shame.

That was what i'm saying.
Maybe you, or someone who has contacts at bter, can talk to them to add XCN to the new gate.io.

I will send a message right away.

This is just stupid fucking rhetoric to get things for free. You aren't going to 'force' him to release his work for free. If push comes to shove, he, just like a lot of other developers that make their own miners stop making them. Then big farms who can afford to hire actual developers get easy high performance miners with no competition.

You lose, public developers lose, and private farms win. Go educate yourself before you make fucking retarded knee jerk statements. GPL licensing has absolutely no baring what so ever here. No one is going to take SP to court, no one is losing lots of money because of this (except big farms), and at the end of the day it really doesn't matter.

People use whatever rational they want to justify their actions. Only thing GPL licensing is helping in this case is megafarms and I'm guessing your two rigs don't qualify for that status.

Oh yeah, sp is a modern day robin hood who steals from the open sources and gives it to the little miner. Get your head out of the sand man. He probably sells his mods after he's bored with them on his +100 gpu farm. And no little miner with 5-10 GPUs can profit from 2-3% speed increase, so big farms always win.

No they don't win because diff increases accordingly to the hashrate.
So only sp_ wins, big farms loose and small miners loose even more.

From bter page:
"According to the local policy in China, we have to stop the trading markets before Oct.30. Your funds are safe. We will provide your more time for withdrawal.
To obtain a better services (very fast deposit and withdrawal), we recommend you login to gate.io with your current account and transfer funds there by following the instructures."

Seems like they will continue trading on gate.io after oct 30.
Unfortunately, they did not add all coins listed on bter to gate.io. XCN was not added.
Maybe we can talk to them to move xcn on the new platform gate.io?
@pallas? @bitfreak!?

This is the first time I hear of that exchange, anybody know more? used it?
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite - NEW Thread | 1st mini-blockchain coin | Bounties! on: October 05, 2017, 08:19:34 AM
you think, price can be changed if coin go to yobit? I don`t think so. 20sat`s current price and I don`t know what need do for price go to 200 - 250 sat`s (at least).

I don't know but we need more exchange volume and the quick solution was yobit.
The price can go much higher than 200 sat, as it's been over 1000 sat multiple times in the past.

a quick solution ...

but a very bad one ...

yobit is THE worst exchange you can even ponder getting on to ... especially in ways of support / change / updates ... or even just to make simple things happen ...

i see where you are headed with this pallas - and you know where my respect lays with you ... BUT - contemplating ( let alone that decision ) was the worst one you ever made ... and expose a flailing coin to MORE issues by introducing it to a shonky exchange like yobit - will mean more grief for you and the rest of the community ...

apart from that - you have done great work with this project mate - as usual Wink ...

#crysx

I know that yobit is not the best exchange, but many good coins have been listed there. I was the first to be skeptical about yobit, but after reading what the community had to say about the matter, I think we will be fine in the end. And indeed it was not MY decision, but the result of a discussion on slack.

There is room for tweaking for sure! Older algos implementation was used.
I'm not even sure it works, haven't really tested it... Roll Eyes

Sources will be available soon for the more experienced ones.

Hi sir, how are you doing?
Want to make use of my cuda optimising skills to have a fair mining experience for everyone?

It's difficult to know how many xcn are left on the exchange and what they will do with them.

Regarding this, I tried too look where my old xcn's that traveled months between poloniex and btc38 are currently but block explorer gives me an invalid argumet error. I actually get this same error when I'm trying to look at the donation address.

Anyone else with this or am I alone? Tried different browsers and os but no help.

The explorer code is not perfect, it needs to be updated, I hope bitfreak can help on this.

Interesting, where withdrawed XCN with btc38 our Chinese friends?

It's difficult to know how many xcn are left on the exchange and what they will do with them. Surely they moved a big part but who knows if they just sent them to cold storage or to customers or whatever.

I can do 28 Mh/s on a 1080Ti at 160W.
And 22 Mh/s on a 1080 at 110W.

what OC are you using? are you using your own miner?

I am downclocking to get better efficiency (see the power usage).
Yes it's my own miner.
