I would define boom as 5K.
In 2016 maybe.

Try not to panic sell now if it drops.

Somewhat legit. The wait is going to be so slow while early adopters (real early adopters not us) enjoy bing filthy rich. I missed the boat, barely only have 1 BTC. Just kill me.
No, you should live and learn. Bitcoin won't make you rich though.

No reason for a rally in September at all. On the contrary, the final capitulation of weak hands should be expected and a hundred dollar downside from here. After that - a slow gradual rise over the next 12 months to ATH at $1000-1200 by the end of 2015. ETF is only a hype, an illusion, on the level of naivety of Iceland adopting Auroracoin for its currency.

Nothing groundbreaking will happen in Bitcoin, true. So what's wrong with PoS? Go back and read threads of this sub from 2-3 years back. Hilarious and enlightening. Also, scary to notice that absolutely nothing has changed about the dialogue 2-3 yrs ago as opposed to today.
Can't be true. Overall tone about the boredom of Bitcoin may have been the same, but 2-3 years ago some of the crypto technologies that exist today simply didn't exist. Apparently you guys don't investigate the crypto industry deep enough and only scratch on the surface. There is a lot of exciting things coming up this year. But not in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is stagnating, it's a relict already.

Why not get through $1000 first? There's still quite a bit of naysayers realists other people who think we can't even get past $1000 this year... No. It could happen by May 2015, no sooner, that's very optimistic though. Or by November 2015 - this is more realistic.

No super bubbles in Bitcoin any more, only gradual growth once this multi-month slump is over. On the order of 50-100% yearly, which is not too shabby if you ask anyone.

Any new features implemented in 0.2.9? What's the full list of features implemented at this time?

What a queer hobby you got there

There is one thing that everyone will agree on. Playing altcoins is more fun than just hodling Bitcoin.

Let's wait for a bail out.

imo outside of btc/ltc all the pointy end of the coins listed on coinmarketcap are scams Yeah yeah, and Wall Street is just dying to get in on LTC trading because its creator is not an incognito, we heard your story But guess what, creators of Bitshares are not an incognito either, and they offer tools that Wall Street boys would sure love to play with. Where does that leave your beloved Litecoin now?

There are some crypto systems for companies to issue shares to public like Nxt Asset Exchange, cryptostocks etc. They have a good repution and are on the way to be mature and reliable. This will save large amount of commision charge by the brokers when IPO on the centralised exchange. Nowadays many companies are issuing shares on this new platform rather than throwing away thousands of dollars to create new infrastructure or cryptocurrency customers don't trust and buy.
Here is one example of crowdfunding a company/mobile app using NXT AE, developer says the app should appear in Google Play and Apple store today, you might want to check it out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735878.0

Ohhh come on dumpers... my wife needs to buy $2000 at about 0.000071 BTC/BTSX What the hell is that? Have you no BTSX to prove your point, that Bitshares is a pump up scheme... You truly disappoint me. Now, I have to give her percentage of my own stack. Don't be so loud, you might just get your desired dumping and then some. Don't drag your wife and her money into this, she'll blame you in the end

BitSharesX is making huge gain today. And went up when just about every coin is going down.
40-50M market cap gain in one day make it the best PoS coin of the year so far.
Yeah, Dan is buying up a lot of BTSX with the IPO funds. Until funds run out, that is, then what?

You mean like it works in NXT now or something different?
