981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are CPU only mineable coins? on: May 19, 2019, 03:12:11 PM
Hi, I am just in for fun and want to know, now that all my AMD and NVIDIA Cards mine when idle, what I could mine with the 5 ryzen CPU's I have here?

Do you have any ideas for a newbie?

Just like all the times, I always point out that the cost of electricity matters as it has an effect on mining profits.
Now back to your question, Ryzen CPU's can be used to mine privacy coin like Monero. The reason I suggested only Monero is that it is one of the top privacy coins still waxing strong.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: To the ones who gave up mining or reduce mining because electricity costs on: May 19, 2019, 02:52:28 PM
You said it all and I really feel for you as I have done that already.
Actually it doesn't make sense being in a business or in this case mining where you will sacrifice more and end up with little or no profit.
I have resorted to buying the coins instead of going through trauma mining as electricity cost isn't encouraging in my location.
Maybe it will be profitable one day, but for now I will wait it out.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Proof-of-StakeWork for miners! on: May 19, 2019, 02:43:20 PM
Sincerely this is my first time of hearing such, but having gone through the article I must say the concept is one of its kind.
They believe by merging the benefits of PoW and PoS they will enable miners grow their mining by reinvesting. Also, with their concept 51% attacks will also be a thing of the past and other advantages.
I think its worth the attention, waiting to see how it plays out.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should hold or sold BNB ? on: May 18, 2019, 08:38:43 PM
Sincerely, a coin like BNB is worth holding for long; this is my own opinion.
To your question, no one can really advice you on what to do with your funds or BNB, if you believe in what the project offers then you can think long term also if you are not too sure you can trade or sell and wait for correction before entering again. But before trading, endeavour to get the right knowledge about trading.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coins to invest before bullrun (if happen) on: May 18, 2019, 08:33:59 PM
Bull run is on the lips on many now, but I also think it is also time to be smart and wise as many projects will spring up offering one feature or the other.
To your question; in my opinion any coin with active products is worth investing in this period before the anticipated bull run sets in. Don't be in haste, take your time and make your research.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON to soon displace ETHEREUM? on: May 18, 2019, 08:28:34 PM
In the crypto space, I will say competition is what keeps most projects going which is also okay. Now taking a look at ETH and TRON, although the competition is good enough but I would never imagine Tron replacing ETH anytime anyday owing to the efforts the team Is making to ensure the blockchain remains scalable.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which new token has good potential for the future? on: May 18, 2019, 03:08:55 PM
In my own opinion, I will say any token whose team is active and constantly improving the platform while looking for ways to make the platform more valuable. The reason I said this is because, most projects lacks experienced team while only filled with hype. So we must learn to look beyond that and concentrate on what the project is bringing to the world.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung is Adding Cryptocurrency Wallet to its Budget Phones on: May 18, 2019, 03:06:05 PM
Since this year many platforms or systems has been getting involved with blockchain technology, now with Samsung is a huge addition, as most people can be able to know what blockchain is all about thus participating and being part of an environment of growth and transformation.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project? on: May 13, 2019, 09:35:25 PM
To me, product or rather working product matters a whole lot as it shows the level of experience and commitment the team have towards achieving their goals or that which is written on the whitepaper.
Working product will also make the team work hard so as to grow their platform into a valuable one thus getting more investors and users who will use the product as well as helping to grow the platform.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you have to take risks. on: May 13, 2019, 09:31:25 PM
I have to take risks because it is only by doing so will I be able to move to the next in every endeavour. My risk taking isn't limited to only the crypto space but in all life endeavours. Those who take risk are goal getters while those who are afraid of taking risks always settle for less.
But it is worthy to know that not all risks are worth taking, thus the reason why risks has to be throughly checked to know if it's worth it or not.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your definition of shitcoin? on: May 13, 2019, 09:22:14 PM
Shitcoin is a coin abandoned by the project team which then ends up being useless; that is having no value whatsoever. Even if it's listed on exchange, a time will come when the exchange will delist it. Also, shitcoins can be product of hype or pump and dump; which is one of the reason why investors should make sure they look beyond the hype or the noise and go for what the team is trying to offer; this will reduce the number of shitcoins coming into existence.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think will outperform btc in the upcoming crypto summer? on: May 12, 2019, 08:33:33 PM
First I have never believed any altcoin is better or can be likened to Bitcoin, let alone predicting the one that will outperform it. Within this crypto space, I don't think there is any altcoin that will ever beat or outperform Bitcoin, as it is a coin on the lips of many thus being invested at all times.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Crypto now? on: May 12, 2019, 08:30:41 PM
I'm just curious if you guys still hodling your altcoins?
Do you still believed that we could get x1000 profit if we hodl our altcoins longer? And kindly suggest best coins should i invest this year.

Thanks.

To start with I have learnt to stop predicting or believing cryptocurrency price predictions as they most time don't work.
Also, yes am still holding my altcoins which are below my expectations while hoping the market recovers fast.
Then lastly, cryptocurrency has come to stay and there is no going back, with time all will be clear for the world to see.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange and Hacks on: May 12, 2019, 08:27:47 PM
At this juncture I believe everyone now understand that no funds is ever safe in exchanges. Come to think of it, how many have been hacked this year, with the recent being the most "secure".
Once again, funds are never safe on exchanges but only in private wallets, the more we understand this, the better.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Garbage Or Gold on: May 12, 2019, 08:25:00 PM
When one lacks the adequate knowledge about something, he tends to say whatever that comes to mind just to discourage the other person. A time will come when all the people badmouthing Bitcoin will be left with no choice than to accept it, as it will be highly precious and valuable like Gold.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Just Announced New Tokensale on its Launchpad! on: May 12, 2019, 08:22:37 PM
I love this, it shows they are limited or broken by the challenge they had. This also shows how strong Binance is in this trying time, which will soon pass.
About the project they aim to promote, from my little research on Harmony I think their concept is cool (not a financial advice)
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Care of security and don't store your coins on exchanges! on: May 11, 2019, 09:43:15 PM
Truly anyone still doing this is only risking his assets. If a secure exchange like Binance can get hacked what more is there to say about keeping funds on exchanges. No matter how big or small the assets is, keep it off exchanges.
The crypto space is getting more valuable each day thus the need to always protect our assets, which can be done by using personal wallet; that is a wallet we control.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: May 11, 2019, 09:31:51 PM
Everyone in this crypto sphere sell for one reason or the other. Some sell once they are in profit and if the coin is worth the investment they will buy back at a later price or move over to another coin.
Also, some sell once the market shows unfriendly signs, that is they are moved by market sentiment.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I Turned My Rigs Off... on: May 11, 2019, 09:27:16 PM
Drastic situation leads to drastic measures. It is no longer news that most miners are dumping their mining equipment and settling for either trading or whatsoever they deem fit.
The high cost of energy coupled with less mining profits isn't encouraging at all.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese mining motherboards suck! on: May 11, 2019, 09:22:35 PM
Most times in every production line, defective products might get passed unknowingly. I think before you conclude on this, you are meant to checkout other using same mining motherboard to be sure the problem is from the materials used etc. I have friends who have been using Chinese products and they really seem okay with it.
