981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 14, 2023, 03:23:47 PM
Most of the time the gamblers never allocate the amount for other needs. This is the major problem. If the money is being allocated and with the rest he had played, it won't affect the personal life. Some used to spend their earnings on gambling and further they tend to take loans and spend for the life needs. Whatever the scenario, we should learn to live with what is available. Whether it is gambling, or our life needs. When we go for a loan without reason, then it is the beginning of our life destruction.

When gamblers do not allocate a certain amount of money for their needs and tend to take loans when they need money it is a big mistake. Because the necessities of life should be a priority and gambling is a side. When people put gambling as a priority and tend to put their needs aside, that is a mistake and this kind of thing should have been avoided if they understood the principles of financial management.
And I agree that taking a loan for no reason is a mistake. Someone should be able to play gambling and still make ends meet without going into debt if they understand how to manage their money.

Right and that is already a common knowledge because a normal human being is expected that we should put our priorities first before anything else, that doesn't necessarily includes gambling because we can still live and breath without having any of those for a couple of weeks but since some people cannot keep their hands out of casino, then I think it should be wise to keep their financials in line first and only take out an extra funds that they can afford to lose.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: August 14, 2023, 01:46:01 PM

Canelo Alvarez’s next fight had been rumoured to be Jermall Charlo, but instead it is twin brother Jermell Charlo facing the Mexican on September 30; Canelo is the undisputed world champion at super-middleweight, with Jermell jumping up two weight divisions from super-welterweight

https://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/12912747/canelo-alvarez-to-face-jermell-charlo-in-undisputed-las-vegas-showdown-on-september-30

If anybody sees odds for the fight please share in the thread.

Thanks.

Mike Tyson himself had something to say about this fight. He seems to believe that Jermall Charlo is going to lose this fight and that Canelo Alvarez will easily beat him, without much of a struggle. Charlo said "Mike Tyson is Mike Tyson — he could say whatever he wants". But I think that the winner is going to be obvious here and Mike, with his years of expert experience, saw it coming. Sure Charlo had a good rise from his weight division but he is still not ready for Alvarez. Ambition combined with pure and unadulterated willpower alone cannot win fights for very long.

I guess we don't need to be a Mike Tyson so see who is going to win this fight. I mean, Charlo is good at 154 lbs, but this is a totally different league for him at 168 lbs and this is the best weight class for Canelo Alvarez.

14 lbs is too huge of a difference.  A tough 168 lbs fighting a  154 lbs even if this 154 lbs is a heavy hitter does not need any special ability to see who is at the advantage.  Even if we consider Charlo's punching power is devastating at 154 lbs, he is fighting a tough opponent that can absorb heavy punches from light heavyweight opponent.  And they are fighting at the most comfortable division of Canelo.  So almost all odds are against Charlo.  Even speed is against Charlo on this because adding more weight will hamper is agility.

Might be more reasonable if this bout is catchweight but it isn't and that will really give Canelo an advantage in this fight because Jermell will have to face a lot of difficulties before he can reach Canelo's division and after that it's not yet over because he then will have to face a natural 168 lbs. boxer which is an added difficulty to him. Not sure how would this fight go for him but I know that it will always favor Canelo without a doubt.

I doubt that Canelo can go lower than 168 lbs though if they go for a catchweight. It will be draining for him as he is used to his weight and as we all know what when we grow older, we are bound to really gain weight so I don't think that catchweight is possible here.

So it's on Jermell side to really accept the fight or not. And in this case he is willing to go up in weight so we can say that the weight could not be an issue.

And it's interesting what I read that Canelo is targeting the twins, it was supposedly Jermall in this fight but his 154 lbs twin Jermell step up and take his spot. But if Canelo wins, it is said that he is going to fight Jermall the 160 lbs champion at 168 lbs.

The fact that this bout already materialized means that Charlo is eager and confident enough to go up in weight and skip some weight class just to fight Canelo at the latter's own dominant weight class. Not sure what he thinks by the way because I don't see any reasons why should I side him on this path or bet with him because he even pursued this fight without having any warm up for his inactivity.

For me, this is just a money fight and Charlo was already tired waiting for someone that can give him a competitive paycheck that is why he is now going to fight Canelo at 168 even if it that will mean that he will be stripped of his WBO or is it WBC and a possible lose as well.

Yes, and sometimes it's going to be an excuse if they lost because of weight issues like rehydration clause by the camp of Tank Davis vs Ryan Garcia or even Spence who says that 147 lbs for him doesn't feel right.

But in this case it's very different, but still though, maybe in the end Charlo will say that it's too much for him to jump 2 weight class. But he has agreed with the terms though so hopefully there will be no excuses after he lost the fight here.

There shouldn't be an issue because he chose this path for a reason where he will be needing to jump weight classes and it will be a big embarrassment if he will starts making an excuse upon his defeat because people already know the chances beforehand and it's not that he is expected to make a miracle. He just should just stick with it and move on but if in case he wins, he can have all the credit for it because it will mean that he will be the new undisputed at 168. But first, we'll see what he can do against Canelo.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 14, 2023, 11:02:27 AM
Here we go again with this guy and not so long ago we saw him when he wanted to leave the team he would do some funny thing for them to finally consider how to trade him as quickly as possible. remember when leaves his body to consume more than he needs and gains a huge amount of weight which makes him fat. The Houston Rockets became so frustrated and quickly released him because they thought there would be no chance for him to contribute good things to the team and suddenly after that, he retained his old self again. Now that he's doing his same old trick again the 76ers don't care about it anymore.
There should be some penalties on having this attitude, right? I thought that there's already a rule that a player shouldn't say such as transfers vulgarly against his current team. He has gained weight and there's a reason why he did that but having this attitude when the team wants him to be present on the training camp should still make him act professionally. It is not gonna be a surprise if there will be sanctions that will be placed on him regards to his contract if he's not attending practices if should be.

There will be sanctions and we will get to that because I think that the NBA can't wait to make their move and make them as a lesson for the players who are planning to do the very same thing in the future. It's not that they can just decide whatever they want and whatever they pleased to do because legally, they are obliged to follow the team's order because they are under a unique contract and if Philly will order Harden to participate in the training camp, he better be in that camp if he doesn't want any further problems that might affect his career.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 14, 2023, 08:17:31 AM
@Lanatsa. Pacman is not being a traitor against his own countrymen. In the ambush interview, what Pacman told the interviewer was he wanted to help Inoue and teach him his secrets on how he carried his strength, speed, power and stamina when he has fighting in higher weight divisions. He wants everyone to witness someone greater than him in boxing, I reckon.

I thought Pacman is only willing to help if in case Inoue will move up to other divisions again? Anyways, Pacman once again was caught in another ambush interview during the Crawford-Spence event, the legend mentioned Crawford as the new #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world replacing Inoue but he also said that Inoue remains his favorite guy. https://www.facebook.com/IFLTV/videos/617315163875941

Meanwhile, according to a local source, Team Tapales is not happy with Naoya Inoue's offers. And just a few days ago, 3 division champion Johnreil Casimero started training again in his town. Casimero looked very heavy at the moment so hopefully, he continues his light training as he might be Inoue's next opponent late this year. It could be that Tapales is not happy with the money presented on the table but it is possible that both sides are bluffing at this early stage of their negotiations. Tapales if he won't face Inoue next might face a mandatory either from the WBA or the IBF. A rematch against former champion Morudjon Akhmadaliev for the WBA mandatory or IBF's mandatory Sam Goodan of Australia might be a high-risk low reward for Tapales should he not come to an agreement with Inoue.

Yes I am quite certain Pacman offered his services if will move up to a heavier weight division again. However, if he was telling the interviewer that he would help in Inoue's training for the fight against Tapales, I would be very skeptical this heheheh. I might put money on Tapales hehhehee.

On Tapales not happy with team Inoue's offer, this is part of negotiations. The team of Tapales knows that Inoue needs the IBF and WBA championships because the Japanese boxer is chasing history.

On Inoue vs. Casimero, if the money is not enough, I reckon Inoue will chase history again and challenge the champions in featherweight.

Negotiations has started with the Tapales group, and as what we have been reading it's not good offer from the inoue team. For sure, if Inoue is chasing greatness, then they should offer good money to Tapales and not disrespect him as a champion.

One Inoue vs Casimero, if Inoue wanted to stay at super bantamweight and if by chance Casimero become somewhat of the mandatory challenger, then for sure Inoue will give up to the pressure of fighting Casimero as this has been one of the most anticipated ever since their bantamweight days.

Hehe I speculate Inoue will make Casimero chase him to featherweight instead of waiting for Casimero unless Inoue cannot say no to the money being offered to him in super bantamweight.

Let us remember that Inoue is chasing his legacy to be the greatest pound for pound boxer in the world. He cannot get this by wasting time in super bantamweight if he unifies the championships. It will be featherweight for him and I wish we witness the great Pacman work with him.

I cannot blame Inoue if he will choose to climb the next weight class again and make another victory run after achieving his goals in this division, even if that means leaving Casimero again because that's not ducking for me as Inoue have his own priorities that needs to come first and Casimero unfortunately, doesn't have anything that will give him any benefit as the latter haven't have anything to offer.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 14, 2023, 07:51:46 AM

That same figure might not be that likely anymore because people already know what would happen in that fight and it is already expected as well that it will be a short fight because we know that Nate will dominate Jake Paul in a way that he will not expect it. But a $2 Million fight for Nate on their rematch will be a disrespect, Jake Paul is not that kind of fool who will give him that figure as a guaranteed money because if it weren't because of Nate, those figures are not likely.

Yup! It will not be going to be the same figures as their 1st fight but surely the next fight is MMA, so it does not have the same revenue as boxing fights, but surely both fighters agreed that they will have another fight, and this time for sure Dana White wants to produce and handle the fight between Jake Paul And Nate Diaz, but surely they don't really want anyone to help them manage an MMA fight, but maybe there will be a different combat sports to help this settle an MMA fight,

I guess they will have to explore their options first before coming towards Dana White to organize their fight because we know that Jake and Dana haven't have any good relationship with each other and these two still keeps on bombing each other on the internet up until now, like recently where Dana White is frequently saying that Jake Paul haven't answered to his challenges where he should take a test to see if he's using a gear on his fights or not.

<snip>
I don't think keeping your gambling habit a secret is common. Is your argument based on personal experience? While it's possible that some people do this, I believe it's rare and unusual. Consider a study shared here previously: men tend to gamble to enhance their image in society. Therefore, based on this, we can initially assume that fewer people keep it a secret compared to those who want others to know they are gambling.

Well, it's not totally a secret but I don't prefer to be vocal about it as well and I don't even care about my image in the society because my choices doesn't involve them and I don't do anything in my life while thinking if it would please them because no matter what we do, people will always have a comment about us and that is a fact that we should face. I reckon that we can be more free if we show that we aren't affected as time will come that they will get tired of what they think or say as well.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 13, 2023, 02:42:31 PM
The Athletic is reporting that the Philadelphia 76ers are refusing to trade James Harden and requesting him to appear in training camp. However, James Harden has said he has no plans to play for the 76ers this year and won’t be attending training camp. We’ve got ourselves a bit of a stand-off situation to start the 2024 season.

Not sure what is happening to the 76ers right now, but they have been in this kind of situation before. We all know it started with the Ben Simmons drama and it dragged them out for months. And so it seems the curse is not yet over as in less than two years they have this situation again.

I guess if they have given so much power to NBA players, we will see this kind of stand off. Not the first time though, and if I'm not mistaken, Kyrie has this kind of situation as well and Kawhi Leonard, when he was with the Spurs and doesn't want to play unless he gets traded and he got his wish back then after a year and traded to Toronto and win their first championship ring.

This seems like a flashback to Ben Simmons' history, LOL. If we end up witnessing a similar situation, we might not see James Harden next season either. The team seems to have no plans of trading, so Harden will have to remain on vacation, waiting for the right time to be traded. There appears to be a problem with the 76ers' management; the team's cohesion with players isn't great, with stars leaving. Except for Embiid, who stands out, or could it be that Embiid is part of the problem?

Embid already said that he just wants to play for a championship, no matter where that is.  With Philly up in flames right now I can see embid getting traded at the deadline if they really aren't competing.  Embid would get a nice haul, dump Harden to a contender and build off Maxey with a bunch of picks.  Doesn't seem like Phillys direction is on the right path better to get assets for their stars now.

I cannot deny that I'm also thinking that what if Embiid is part of the problem? We may not see or hear it but I know there is something going on behind closed doors that is why Philly is getting the same problems again and again. If that will be the case, I think it will be much comfortable for them if Embiid will start to ask for a trade because I know that they don't have the guts to trade Embiid without having any requests from him. Sooner or later, their problems will be announced publicly.
988  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 13, 2023, 01:48:39 PM
To be fair, real estate is not entirely safe or will certainly yield returns without risk. But when comparing all 3 properties that OP mentioned, it must be admitted that it is the safest. Honestly, many of us don't choose real estate because it takes a lot of money to get started, not because we don't want to. Those who say they don't like real estate are lying and don't have enough money.

I would also choose crypto because as I said, I don't have too much money to get started with real estate and crypto suits me better. But if I had the money OP mentioned, I would prioritize building a business first to generate passive income. Then investing in crypto and real estate will be the next thing.
You're right that the main problem with not many choosing real estate is that it requires more money than investing in anything else. And I think actually we all want Real estate too. It's just that our level of financial ability determines whether we can enter real estate or not. If we are not financially mature enough then of course entering Real Estate is not easy to do.

But even if I have a lot of money like what the OP said, I will personally prioritize Real Estate and build property on the land that I bought and turn it into a future business. like building a rented house or apartment on the land I bought. So that I can get income from renting out property later.

When we have much money, have many assets, we will always choose safety over risk for high profit, I am pretty sure of that, and that is the common sentiment of all of us.

Indeed, if we have a lot of money, then owning real estate and generating passive income from it is something that no one will be able to refuse. No one does not want to be comfortable and have a passive income. But we're not there yet, and bitcoin would suit us better. For mediocrity like us, if we don't choose bitcoin then I think, there won't be a second chance for us to catch up with the rich out there, and that's why I chose bitcoin.

Well, the good news is, everything has a start and it's not yet too late to invest some on it because bitcoin is still manageable to chase specially now that the price are still at a discount as well as other coins in the market. For the other fields, it would be a great idea if we also venture in some business like owning a real estate while generating some profits from it because owning in this field is always a win-win situation for us because land will always appreciate in the coming years.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: August 13, 2023, 12:54:13 PM
Memecoin can pump and dump with or without any news or reason. So based on memecoin, it should not right think its a Sign of the Future of Cryptocurrencies. Always consider bitcoin for the whole crypto market movement cause altcoins only follow bitcoin, not memecoin. For doge coin, elon musk may responsible and he might be doing this as he has money so he can do whatever he wish. But doge progressed a lot inspite of a memecoin.
It pumps because someone did it and it dumps because people are leaving and dumping their coins.
It was not necessary to give hope to this coin but something we must know is that Doge had already existed for many years so even though it never pump like bullish, this coin remains, unless all the supporters will stop. But I was sure that it never happens because even they know that Dogecoin has no market potential but guess what, they still supporting it.

Dogecoin is like an abandon coin where the dev has no control of it so maybe we cannot see a stable good movements with this coin and the one exist is just pure manipulation that's why this is the coin love by Elon since he don't have to worry that he will caught off empty handed with it.

People need to be aware that eventhough Dogecoin is old coin they still have big chances to lose especially when they listen to the manipulators approach and decide to hold it for long term.

Although many earn when the time it pumps but also many loser when they got FOMO then the price dumps.

Abandoned coin is not a correct term for doge, IMO and it is much more suitable if we call it as a dormant coin because it is dormant in the first place and its characteristics is what Elon Musk loves the most. Also, Elon liked and promoted doge because it is a kind of coin where he can easily control it without any struggles just like what he did in the previous incidents and he will always take advantage of it while there are still some people that are waiting for his move.

991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 12, 2023, 01:11:19 PM
No matter what the punch is, even if Fury slips and falls to the uppercut himself, a win is a win. Since this fight will somehow be official, then someone will write 1 on their record, and someone 0. But for me it will still remain a shameful circus (on Fury’s part) that chickened out and deprived the audience of the unification fight.

He cannot blame someone for that if ever his fight against Francis Ngannou will not be fruitful as he expected and hence will be a huge embarrassment to his career because he shook the wrong tree instead of continuing his way in the boxing career for the unification fight. For what it's worth, he have this coming and since this will be a professional bout, he should expect already that Ngannou will be coming to him hard because Ngannou himself doesn't want losses specially now that people are doubting him, he loved that!

In my opinion, it is too late to argue since Fury has already consistently disgraced himself (the first time he ran from Klitschko). I fully admit that in the future Fury may collect all the belts: the first way is to wait for the older Usyk to weaken and beat him “guaranteedly”, and the second way is to wait until Usyk loses to someone else and then take the belts. But all this will already make little sense, besides, the show fights are addictive - a lot of money with a minimum of effort and risk. It's hard to come back from this.

Fury has nothing to prove anymore, in my opinion. He already proved himself when he defeated a prime Wilder twice. During that time, Wilder held the number 1 ranking, and Usyk's name wasn't even in the discussion of champions. So, I don't think Fury is waiting for Usyk to get older or to lose to someone before claiming his belt. It's probably just a matter of negotiations between the two camps in terms of finances that hasn't been agreed upon yet.
I think there is still one though, to fight Usyk and this has been in the discussions prior to his fight with Francis Ngannou. And we thought that we are going to see a unification fight at the Heavyweight division. And it seems that we on the way until negotiations broke down. We can't really blame as what is the reasons, they both went public and pointing fingers at each other.

So for me, if he wanted to proved that he is the best in this generation, then he still has Usyk to beat and most likely he will also beat a prime and more so non even a prime version of his domestic rival Anthony Joshua and then he could retire as the one of the best Heavyweight.

Both fighters that are involved in this fight namely Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou have their own pending business to attend into like the ones mentioned above but for some reasons, like a misunderstanding in their respective negotiations, both fighters have come into terms to leave their own pending business for the meantime and proceed to a fight where they can make more money. It will be a win-win situation but Tyson Fury is the one who will be risking more since this bout will be a professional event.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 12, 2023, 11:52:58 AM
^^ Lol, I thought it is Jake Paul, but his younger who is going to fight. And same as what his brothers is doing, fighting another MMA artist in a stand up fight in boxing, so that they will have the advantage and most likely will win.

It's interesting that DAZN is carrying this fight, they will have to ride on the Paul brothers hype train in this exhibitions because this is business and there are a lot of money that is going to be made here.

Jake Paul cannot fight all the time, even though he holds a better record than his brother. However, both have already gained popularity, making it a lucrative opportunity for promoters, given that fans would unquestionably come to watch their fights. Even if they only fight once a year, they could still earn millions of dollars. This is in contrast to many other professional boxers who begin their careers from the ground up and only become popular after proving themselves by winning championships. The Paul brothers don't require that trajectory; their exhibition fights alone generate a substantial income for them.

As long as the fans are willing to buy their tickets because of what hype this brothers can bring, they will continue to do so and this is a potential another millions of dollars in the table for them and there opponents as well. That's why they can almost find fighters, whether ex-MMA or still beginning of their careers in UFC or not so famous fighters.

Because it's one of a lifetime opportunity to make a name for them and at the same time, been paid more than what they got if they are to compete in UFC. Like what Francis did to his career, Dana White is not offering him good money, then he switch and fight Tyson Fury for millions just in 1 fight alone.

That is a guaranteed $8 Million (PPV not included) and that is a very good money that Francis Ngannou can have after making a name in the UFC and now getting his career in the boxing industry, the thing is that this is not an exhibition fight that is why it is garnering many attention from the people around the world.

Just like Nate Diaz, it has been said that he got a whooping $20 Million from a fight against Jake Paul. And if this hype continues on their rematch, I would not be surprised if Jake Paul would take the deal even if it means that he will get defeated in an MMA fight.

Yes, I've read about that as well that Nate Diaz got that much and if I'm not mistaken, I think that is the biggest paycheck that Nate received in his whole career. Some even said that even if we combine what Nate received throughout his MMA career, this is still the biggest paycheck. That just shows that Jake Paul indeed knows how to make a fight and it's not surprising why DAZN is organizing it for them as it is indeed profitable on their side as well.

Yes, the Paul brothers are now making huge money and offering this former MMA fighters a big paycheck that they can't refuse. So it's a win-win for them, an the Paul brothers can be considered as the cash cow for this sort of exhibition matches, outside of Floyd Mayweather of course.

And damn, $20 million for just one fight? definitely they will like to have another fight with either brothers. And we all know that they are also good in marketing this fight so we shouldn't be surprises by that big paycheck that Nate got and he for sure are very happy with it.

That's right! It is indeed that much for a just a single fight with either one of the Paul Brothers and that specific figure will grow more than that if you're that someone who is already famous or made a name in other industry and there is no doubt about that. But the trouble is, it will be a one time thing because people doesn't want to see anything that they already know without any doubt what will be the outcome unless if the second fight will be contested differently, like Jake Paul and Nate planning to have a rematch with an MMA rules.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: August 12, 2023, 11:24:36 AM
Usually, people who win in gambling but not able to cash out or save their winnings and I think this has something to do with a Healthy mindset.
If you do not have the intention to save the wealth, you will lose all your winnings by risking them again in another gambling bet.

Only a mentally strong person who has control over emotions and have money management skills would be the real winner here and will become rich eventually.

It's true. Gamblers lose their winnings because they want to make something extra and a little more than what they won. I am a gambler myself, and I often win double what I deposit. But, most of the time, I want to round the figure. For example, I deposited $20 and won another $20. My balance is $40, but I wanted to round it to $50.

Guess what happens, then. I end up losing them all, including my deposit. We always think we may be able to win a little more, and most of the time, we continue to gamble after having a win. We should have cashed out a portion of the winnings so we don't lose them all.

No gambler is able to deny these things because there is a huge chance that every gambler has been through this experience and even after experiencing it, they still do the very same thing like there's nothing happened in the past at all. It might be ridiculous to read but this is a fact because as a human being, it is very normal to be greedy. What's not normal is doing nothing to avoid such instances.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 12, 2023, 10:26:14 AM
He can get another chance. He shouldn't have gone to Taiwan imo.
You can't blame him; he saw an opportunity overseas, so he grabbed that opportunity. However, with the recent news that his salary will be cut a bit, I guess he might be interested in playing with the NBA again. Let's hope that there's a team that would pick him up.

He is already 37 years old, not young anymore, but he can still play. With his experience and confidence, I'm sure he will be a big help. All we can do now is wait for the developments. Let's follow Howard's journey; who knows, he might end up with the Lakers again.

Yeah, since there's no team offers him a service, so there's no other option but to play overseas, I think he still has that capability as he can
still jump high and give that hassle to help as a good defender.

If a team will give him that opportunity to play back and let him provide some minutes to a player that will need some rest.

Like what you said, we never know if there's still a team that will consider him and will let him play and showcase the help
that he can still provide.

He had a good run oversees, but still though, he wanted to return to the NBA and most likely retire in that league. I guess the league has change a lot now, they are not looking or a pure Center like him. All they want to see is a good big man that can shoot outside as well, not just defend the rim and grab rebounds.

But a prime Howard in early 2000's is really great to watch. He can defend, block shoots and dunk the ball with ease as no one can stop that kind of specimen back then. They were just cut short by Kobe and the Lakers when they reach the finals and didn't win the championship.

Almost being compared to Shaq back in his prime, and same with how Shaq manages to bring the Magic to the finals, they also
runout against the Kobe's Lakers.

I guess that's what he wanted and still failing to find a team that will allow him to retire his jersey, with how the system changes, where shooters
are more dominant compared to the power inside.

His chance to come back is slim unless there are some insiders that will back him up to sign a deal.

He was definitely the best center in the league for some time, but Dwight was no where near the player Shaq was.  Shaq is the most dominant player to ever play the game (not best, but most dominant).  Dwight was also compared to Shaq so often because obviously they both played a good bulk of their careers in Orlando, or at least a good part of their careers, but Dwight named himself "Superman" (something Shaq did long before him) and totally just tried stealing the whole Shaq Superman thing..it was weird.

Anyways, Dwight's time in the league is absolutely over.

He doesn't have that much option but to embrace the reality because if he won't, his situation will always be the same where he will be compared to Shaq and will be on his shadow while he is on the league specially that both of them played with the Magic and looking at it now, it will not change because he didn't surpass Shaq as the most dominant center that the NBA has ever seen. He's just a regular center that once dominated the league in his prime but not that significant compared to Shaq.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: August 11, 2023, 03:02:36 PM
Wow! Some big drama show here. So from being friendly and hospitable to something different. The Haney's are working underground and are trying to change the signed schedule into something earlier and that's what made the champion Regis Prograis mad. I cannot believe Devin at this young age is already trying to lowball his opponent. And I am glad that Regis is standing his ground and is sharing this with the public.

So Devin Haney after becoming undisputed all of a sudden is trying to exploit and avoid riskier opponents as much as possible. First, he does not want to give Lomachenko his well-deserved rematch. Then he offered a laughable 25% PPV share on Shakur, his WBC mandatory. He said he wants to move up in weight at the same time hostage all the belts at 135. He wants to move up in weight but he doesn't want to fight the new lineal champion of 140, Teofimo Lopez. He wanted the WBC champion Regis Prograis after its very poor performance in the last fight. And Devin is not yet satisfied so he wanted Regis to not take a full rest from his previous 12-round fight and forced him to a schedule with less training time. I hope this kid gets clipped. Cheesy

Source: Regis Prograis Angry on Devin Haney

Another classic maneuver from Mayweather Jr.'s handbook, just like what Errol Spence Jr. did some time ago when he ducked Crawford for months and waited for quite some time before he decided to face him for the undisputed fight. Many excuses at that time too just like how Al Haymon and Spence convinced the sanctioning bodies to contest his mandatory title defense fight against Keith Thurman at 154 lbs. It was really unreasonable because how can he defend his titles at 154 if he doesn't have any belts in that weight class in the first place.

Now, I can see Devin Haney doing the very same thing or maybe much worse and just like what happened to Spence, his time will also come.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: August 11, 2023, 02:49:44 PM

This shows the good chemistry with the Charlo and Mike Tyson.Because Tyson never praise any one for the game without the boxer had good game.He is the god of Boxing as like the Lara,Sachin tendulkar to the cricket. The experience person will say the person who win the game by the view.So this had some sense is my opinion, the Jermall going to win the game by the K.O of Canelo. It doesn't mean Canelo doesn't had a game, the game of Charlo was ambitious game and he had more will power to win the game.

I'm not really sure what you mean though, Tyson has been praising a lot of boxers, from Inoue, to Francis Ngannou to Ryan Garcia and Tank Davis. Not sure if you are also aware that Mike Tyson has a podcast that he guest fighters so to he is very known to give credits to this fighters.

So not surprise that he will support Canelo here is that is the case. For sure he has his reasons and for us it's obvious too. Jumping 2 weight classes and then fighting the best super Middleweight, we can commend Charlo for having the balls but that's it. After this fight, he should go back to 154 lbs and fight Crawford.

The only advantage I can see that Charlo has is that Canelo is not that the same anymore but still, that doesn't change the fact that his odds to win the fight are much smaller compared to the latter who has already proven throughout the times that he is indeed the best boxer at 168 and once the P4P King. Besides, it doesn't have to be that complicated to figure out who have the upper hand in this fight and we sure know who's who that is why a lot of people are doubting Charlo's move towards Canelo because that is indeed a big jump just to fight Canelo and have a big paycheck.

Maybe that could be true for some unmotivated workers who focus on their own rather than to focus on the productivity of their job. Especially that they are not closely monitored by their bosses, well expect that they will only work for few hours and kill the time with other self entertaining works.
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 10, 2023, 09:26:55 PM
Bitcoin is a profitable tool for investment, so if your investment brings a lot of profits, and then convert your profits into fiat, then you can start providing foods on your table. While it can’t be used as a currency in most areas, but it can always be a source of investment that will eventually become highly profitable in time.

Trading using bitcoin at the same time can also bring a lot of profits if you are an experienced and a professional trader in the market. But if you trade as a beginner, then it’s hard to expect that you can bring food on the table, since most of your trades are expected to fail rather than to succeed.
999  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: August 10, 2023, 08:59:48 PM
Why not? It’s proven to be a profitable long-term investment so I believe it can be worth our money and time especially if its price will keep breaking a new all time high which means our investment will turn out to be 10x or 20x profitable too. However, we should always stick to the basic rule when investing, always invest money that you can only afford to lose. Bitcoin is a profitable asset, but we can’t guarantee if it’s still be the same 10 or 20 years from now so its safe to invest with caution.
1000  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As an undergraduate, is it advisable to invest my trustfund in Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2023, 08:33:10 PM
You can invest but just a portion of your trust fund, an amount that you can afford to lose anytime. Otherwise, you may end up regretting putting all your hard-earned money in one basket and lose them all in an instant.

Bitcoin has its high potentials and is a worthwhile long-term investment but seeing how it’s volatility affect its price  all of a sudden, then it’s hard to tell when will it be profitable, or when will its price will break a new all time high. That why if you decide to invest, just do it with an amount that you can manage to lose.
