Quote from: RILWAN
Why have Manchester city decided to end the season on a very bad note they lost their match in the premier league today with a 1 goal to nothing against a club that is considered to be smaller compared to Manchester City which is leading both the championship and the premier league, it's quite surprising to see this happening right now.

I think, Brentford really prepared for this match to disgrace Manchester city because from the beginning of the first half Brentford defenders made their position so strong for Manchester city strikers to have access to their goalpost. The reason why Manchester city allowed Brentford to defeated them 1-0 in this match, is because they want to reserve themselves for UEFA champions league final so that they will not miss the two titles in this season. Despite the defeat Manchester city experienced from Brentford, they still maintain the highest points in the premier league competition table that made them to continue celebrating for the title in an advance.

I will have commend Thomas Frank Brentford manager for a well done job for defeating Man City both home and away this season though it's a pity Brentford didn't qualify for any European competition it has been a good season for the club, Man City preserving their players against Man City is never an issue because the team has quality players and depth in term of reserve players and their next match is on June 3rd against Man Utd FA Cup I think Guordiola underrated Brentford thinking that his second team is enough to defeat Brentford above all congratulations to Man City for winning the league on three consecutive times and looking forward to their remaining upcoming two finals FA Cup and UCL Cup.

When I discovered that Arsenal is winning wolves 4:0 I became upset. I mean, why didn't they score this margin of goals when it was needed. It is just a waste this time around that all the goals they scored cannot secure them the champions of English Premier League. I just feel for Arsenal uptil even today but I was just comforted by the mistake of Dortmund from Bundesliga of Germany when they made similar mistake and handed over the Bundesliga title to Bayern Munich.
Indeed, that's what the second position club is like when they are expected to win in that match but in fact they lose but when they don't expect they can win and this is what makes Arsenal fans disappointed when the English league champions have been seen but Arsenal's performance has dropped dramatically and relinquished the title Premier League champions this season.
Football is unpredictable this is the same Arsenal that should have up their game towards the end of the season but squandered those chances today thrashed Wolves 5-0 in a match whose outcome doesn't make any difference or impact for the team, a winning team needed consistency in their performance that was lacking with Arsenal after surrendering an eight points lead to Man City.
In the other match Everton narrowly escaped relegation thanks to their 1-0 win over Bournemouth a draw would have subjected the team to relegation, while Leceister City couldn't make it alongside Leeds Utd who followed Southampton to relegation.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 28, 2023, 07:01:29 AM
Strasbourg VS PSG

I'm enjoying the Strasbourg vs PSG match. In this match, I expected to see PSG dominate and win by a big margin. But I am very upset with PSG's match strategy.
Strasbourg is a team at the bottom of the points table. This group is relatively weak. But even against such a team PSG team is playing defensively today. The match is not important for PSG. They won the title. Even then PSG fans don't expect results that PSG won't win in such matches. Messi and Mbappe are in PSG's attack. However, PSG only made 4 shots in the first half. I don't see any desire in them to score in the match.
Looking at the statistics in this match, even though PSG's dominance was very pronounced from the beginning to the end of the match, it seems that Strasbourg's intention to win was a little bigger and PSG really seemed to be playing in this match.
Score 1 point for each although for PSG it doesn't have any impact but it might be different for Strasbourg they avoid the relegation zone even though the current position compared to last season still looks worrying.
Strasbourg game plan was to play a draw against PSG to consolidate their escape from relegation, they played with caution against a star-studded PSG who can score goals, I think with that draw Strasbourg is now safe even a loss in their last match wouldn't make any difference. Meanwhile congratulations to Messi for breaking all time European goal scoring records of 496 one goal ahead of Ronaldo who is currently playing in a Saudi Arabian league where his goal count would not add to his last record of 495 goals, congratulations to PSG for winning Ligue 1 for 11th time proving their dominance in Ligue though I am not surprised they are big money spenders in the league.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 28, 2023, 06:44:55 AM
Dortmund bottled their chance to win the league, when you are competing against a top team like Bayern Munich you have to stay consistent and focus until the end of the race but Dortmund failed to stay consistent and resilient and now have lost the title to Bayern Munich narrowly the same thing happened to Arsenal this season how they failed to maintain consistency and bottled the title, this is definitely not the kind of fairy ending they would have expected.
I am even surprised that despite playing at home which could have been a big advantage for Dortmund by defeating Mainz convincingly a club who lost four of their last matches unfortunately blew up that chance by playing a 2-2 draw at home thus allowing Bayern Munich that had an abysmal performance so far this season to win the league trophy, they gifted Bayern's 11th Bundesliga in a row,  it is absolutely a big disappointment to the home fans who supported the team passionately, Dortmund just like Arsenal threw away a big opportunity to win a trophy at the expense the big European money spender clubs like Man City and Bayern Munich.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Pi mining networks real? on: May 27, 2023, 05:35:09 PM
I'm confused about pi network project start from day one I had about pi network mining with mobile app and get rewards, which i didn't participate, congrats to people that participate, when it official list and also started transfer of token, I can buy little and hold.
Some of my colleagues also mined Pi network via there mobile phones, infact some of them had "locked up" there coin for many years with the hope that the price of pi network will hit a huge price in the nearest future thereafter they will withdraw and exchange to fiat, personally I am not convinced about the credibility of the coin despite the massive hype enjoyed by the coin especially in China, infact the volume of the pi token is in billion so even if eventually listed it won't have a reasonable price value because of massive dumping by it hodlers, you should make more research on it before taking a decision of buying the token.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: May 27, 2023, 05:08:14 PM
Maybe he can send some emails, ask if someone wants the money Grin
I think the father rejected the money maybe because he is loyal to his religion,  most religion people don't like gamble. Even if the father rejects the money I'm not sure he would give it out, because I know the son his old enough to take his decision and start up life with the money.
I think the father rejecting the gambling money won by his son is based on religious ground because I listened to a sermon were a religion preacher said majority of money won by a gambler was a collection of some losers fund who might had been hurt one way or the other, though that was his own personal opinion and belief which must be respected,  however if the son decided to setup a business to stand on his own he might not have the backing of his father and lead to animosity between the duo and course the son wouldn't refund or return the money both of them have to sit down to settle the matter.
987  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 27, 2023, 07:05:33 AM
I don't see this to have any serious effect on player knowing too well that is gambling and to me, it is advisable after you make your first win leave the gambling site or the casino house otherwise you could be tempted to swipe away all the winning. As a gambler you need to gamble responsibly and do not allow greed to run over you otherwise after first winning you could be tempted to try luck at this point it has resulted from chasing loses.
The best bet for a gambler is to quit after first or second win however due to greediness and some enticement by those people offering the service with more offer of winning streaks, a lot of them do stake or place more bets even after their first two losses and when they are at break-even they still continue to gamble untill they are completely rekted while chasing their losses that was what happened to person the OP mentioned, however if the total amount used in betting is the total amount the gambler can afford to lose well that isn't a problem but gambling with every available money is very dangerous.
988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is crypto trading so similar yet so different from Forex trading? on: May 27, 2023, 06:48:57 AM
We all have our trading strategies which works for us, those who are trading in the forex believe they are the best people on the open market, like they are making the best that the market can offer, why those who are also in the crypto (me included) believe  the best things are from crypto trading and that forex has a very higher risk which makes me avoid it the more.
Forex trading is much less risky than crypto trading. Forex trading is basically to trade (GBP, USD, EURO unique stable coins). Here you buy Euro and sell order at high price. When the price of the Euro rises and moves to your position, your order will be completed and your profit generation will occur. The profit generation from here is basically forex trading. The probability of these coins being destroyed is very low.  If you want to destroy all these currencies, you have to destroy all these countries. For example, if you want to destroy the USD, you must destroy the US. Which is not possible at all. But whenever you trade on a crypto trading platform you have to trade with a lot of risk. Although there is high risk involved, there are high profit potentials and very quick gains. If we compare forex trading and crypto trading then definitely forex trading is less risky than crypto trading.
I had traded both forex and crypto trading and experience both volatility which is quite high in crypto than forex trading except during a major news that is when forex pairs tends to move with an unusual high volatility and prior to a high impact news time many traders will be time cautious in trading to avoid hitting Stop Loss during the news hour, honestly I agreed with you that forex trading is less risky than crypto trading and some of my observations is that candlestick patterns do work well in forex trading while most crypto trading pairs defies Technical analysis and when a forex trader has vast knowledge in fundamental analysis predicting the next likely trend of a pair will be easy though it's matter of different folks for different strokes.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 26, 2023, 05:50:26 PM

Source: Transfermarkt

Several rumors have received updates regarding players and teams that will be the goal of joining. From some of these player names, maybe I have just heard rumors about Real Madrid being interested in bringing in Robertson from Liverpool and Savic who will head to Milan. The rest are rumors that several players have had new competitors to sign their contracts, such as Declan Rice, who was previously rumored to be Arsenal and now Arsenal have a new competitor, namely Bayern Munich. Then there is also Gundogan, who was previously rumored to go to Barcelona, but now Arsenal are also competing to get him. Looks like it will be an interesting chapter for the transfer market next summer.

Wtf...  Gundogan to Arsenal and just for 25m EURO?  I mean that's some good value for what he could contribute for the Gunners imho.  But at 32 years old they could prolly haggle to make the price tag a bit lower.  He prolly just has three good years left in him.

And what shirt is Savic wearing?  That's from Lazio right?  I like the Binance sponsor.  Grin

I think Neves to Barca at 40m EURO is good value too.
Gundogan is 32 years I don't think he is going to add any value to Arsenal if he is eventually signed by the club, No doubt he has the quality and 25M to be sold by Man City to Arsenal is a good price but I am concerned with his output is diminishing due to his age and being a creative midfielder as well as Ødegaard thus will he displace Ødegaard from that role? Or will he accept rotation of playing time with him in the club? Because Arsenal will play in UCL next season and there is the need to add depth to the club because of plenty matches to be played, if he accept rotation of playing time then he is a good signing by Arsenal including Declan Rice.

I have said it before that Lampard should by now know that he has no career as a football manager, maybe he will excel as a manager in other sports but I'm sure football manager is not for him and those urging him on are only deciding him. I loved him as a player but I think he now has 1 win in 11 games... simply not good enough, another move that has completely backfired. The new manager coming will have a lot to do. Firstly, his task from day one will be to re-light the fire inside this weak group of Chelsea players.

Lampard is facing some challenges in his career this time around and I bet you that these challenges would be the things that will help him to build his career the more and I am very sure that one day Frank Lampard will develop to be among the best coaches in the world. He has had experiences in coaching small clubs and he has actually had some experience in coaching big club like Chelsea, he has handled clubs that have distressed time and has also handed clubs that are settled. So, all these things will count as accumulated experience for him and he will later become a renowned coach.
Lampard as " best coach in the world" I don't think so because Lampard coming back to manage Chelsea is his third time managing a premier league club and even with all his previous stint his records has been abysmal performance despite gaining some experience in his previous clubs his present performance at Chelsea had been very woeful thus getting a new appointment after leaving Chelsea will be hard, I think he will perform well or better as a soccer pundit or analyst just like Theiry Henry, Gerrard e.t c being a very good players during his playing career does not equate he will be a good manager only few former good players later became competent manager.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: May 26, 2023, 01:43:41 PM
We are fans of different football clubs, and whenever there is football banter, we never fail to take sides with our respective clubs. We stand by them no matter what because that's what being a fan of a football club is all about - unwavering loyalty. However, not all of our favorite clubs perform well. A typical case study is Chelsea, who have had one of their worst performances this season, currently occupying the 11th position. The challenges they have faced this season are unlike any other. Just last night, they were brutally defeated by Manchester United, who showed them no mercy, to the extent that they didn't even celebrate one of their goals.

As a gambler and a die-hard fan of a club that has been having a terrible season, would you bet against your club, knowing that their loss would be your financial gain? Or would you stay loyal and not bet against them?
Gambling involves taking a risk that involves money and sentiment apart thus I won't consider the fact that I am an ardent fan of a particular club in  placing my bet instead I place or gamble based on current form of any particular club for instance as an Arsenal fan if my club plays against Man City I always pick Man City to win ahead of my club because I place a bet based on past records between my team and the opponent and the current form of my team, though in many cases I do not place a bet if I knew my club isn't going to win a match that they stand no chances of winning in solidarity with my club.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 25, 2023, 04:59:10 PM
Manchester united needs 1 more win to lock in the champions league zone for next season and it looks like they will win today's game against chelsea at Old Trafford. The record for meeting the two of them has actually not run smoothly over the past few seasons because both of them very often get draws rather than win against each other. Is it possible that today the Red Devils can break the series meeting record and if they manage to win then Manchester United will be able to step into the Champions League very safely.

For Chelsea, it seems they don't have any targets other than to improve their squad in the EPL next season, moreover, they are certainly quite happy because they have not been relegated this season. But I think Manchester United still have to be vigilant even though they are seeded because a team like Chelsea can reverse the lead at an important time like this.
Man Utd needed at least a draw in today match to secure their UCL spot, of course they will capitalize on Chelsea abysmal performances in the league and try to secure a maximum three points, since Chelsea is not aiming for any European competition qualification thus I don't expect them to prove any big threat to Man Utd, however I am expecting the two clubs to continue their rivalry and play a very tough and competitive match today because it a big match, though even with the outcome of today match Chelsea will likely finish 12th or 11th at the end of the season which is a very bad record for such a big spender club, however I hope the club improve next season and return to their winning ways.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: May 25, 2023, 06:29:15 AM

How about you have you been threatened by your wife, your girlfriend, or your parents, if so tell us your story.

I don't usually hide anything from my wife so in case of gambling, firstly I am addicted to it I do gamble occasionally because of my knowledge in soccer and she is aware of it so I can't be threatened by wife because I haven't cross my boundary, secondly I only gamble with the amount of money I can afford to lose, checking through my record will reveal that my bet was played with small fund which wouldn't raise any eyebrows having know the implications of playing bet with huge amount of money and the risk of losing such a huge amount of money and it consequences even for my health and possibly and mistakenly revealing those losses to my wife.

Congratulations to Brighton tonight as we're able to play a draw game with the championship winners and even the premiere top club,  this is a very good game for Brighton as it will be on record that their we're unbeatable by the front runner this time but Played a draw match.
Pep Guardiola was unable to defeat Roberto De Zerbi this time, despite it being one of the most intriguing Premier League midweek games. A terrific 1-1 tie at Amex Stadium. The seagulls did not take it easy with the visitors, they probably block all areas on the pitch, making it extreme difficult for city players to invade their defendlines, city was shocked by the thrilling efforts displayed by the home team. Brighton performance was superb, they drew all attractions into the equalizer. City maintains its lead on the table, as Brighton maintains their spot on the tup the table.
What a great match between Brighton against Manchester City, and congratulations to Brighton because they are officially in the Europa League next season and they deserve it because they played very well against Manchester City especially in the defense of both teams.
and the score ended very strong 1-1 until the end of the match and the goals created by both teams by Foden and Enciso were beautifully scored, and Brighton has given many surprises this season and is likely to surprise even more next season.
Brighton deserve to play in Europa league going by brilliant performance in the league, I predicted their match against Man City knowing how strong the club is this season I knew they give Man City a run of their money in yesterday match, they really merit the Europa league spot and had been a formidable opponent to the so-called top teams, I hope the club board and management recruit or sign new quality players so as to cope with the task of playing both Europa league and EPL respectively and with Roberto De Zerbi in charge the club will represent EPL well in Europa league.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 24, 2023, 02:48:43 PM
Brighton and Manchester City are going to be facing each other tonight. Manchester City have already guaranteed the title so they don't need to get a win in this one. Guardiola would like to preserve some crucial players for the FA Cup and Champions League final games I assume. Therefore there is going to be a serious opportunity for Brighton to get points here.

I wouldn't be surprised even if Brighton win this game. Because winning this game is securing a Europa League ticket for them before the final week. I'm thinking of betting on them but still I won't risk a lot of money of course.
Indeed, Brighton will have an advantage today because Manchester City will definitely not be serious about winning in this match. And yes there is a chance for Brighton to get full points, but Manchester City is still Manchester City although they have locked the title, it will not be easy for Brighton to win.
To be honest, I doubt to bet on this match, because there are many possibilities. But maybe, both teams to scored will be the best option for me if bet on this match, the odds are also not too bad at @1.51.
I trust Guordiola he will play the same squad that started against Chelsea, though Brighton losing, winning or draw  the match wouldn't make any difference because they will remain  on their sixth position afterall they had already qualify for the Europa league, truly I think Brighton will play to win while playing at home is added advantage with Man City fielding their second team after winning the league and resting of some their key players will guarantee optimum performance in their bid to win both FA Cup and UCL trophy, meanwhile placing a bet for both teams to score is truly the best bet because both teams play attacking football.

I started gambling with Bitcoin after funding my account however due to the instability of the price of Bitcoin It couldn't allow me to get accurate details of my profits, honestly it wasn't easy for me to place a bet a fix amount even before the started at times the value staked might dropped or increased due to price fluctuating until my gambling site provided an alternative means of deposit which is via a stable coin i.e USDT with it I was able to keep a track records of stakes, profits and losses, though with the aid of an exchange I can exchange my USDT to Bitcoin for hodling in my wallet hence I am very much satisfied with the various alternative means of using cryptos to bet or gamble.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 23, 2023, 07:53:04 PM
Finally, after so many years, Arsenal is in their most substantial form this season, and they are anticipated to have qualified for the Champions League next season, raising fan expectations. Mikel Arteta will look into the possibility of extending the contracts of key players; that is the current objective. Saka has signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners; he feels honored to be in the Emirates, and his extension will result in a pay increase. More playing time will allow Saka to evolve into a better version of himself, as he is one of Arsenal's top performers this season. Arsenal leans heavily on Bukayo Saka.

Yes, that's right, securing a position at the top of the standings for almost half a season. They should have been able to get the title at the end of the season but everything has changed because little by little now Arsenal are losing half of their best performance so that Manchester City can shift its position in first place. On the other hand, it is a pity because in the last two matches Arsenal has been beaten by weak teams who are almost in the relegation zone, this is very unexpected. But if you look at the rest of the season, which will soon end, I'm sure Arsenal will still occupy second place in the standings because the point difference with Newcastle is still quite far.

Arsenal actually wanted to extend Saka's contract for a long time but it was a bit delayed because the management did not want to disturb the players to bring the Gunners to a trophy at the end of the season. But now there are reports regarding Saka's contract which has been successfully extended. It is only fitting for Arteta to extend his contract because indirectly Saka is one of the valuable assets for the team's progress going forward. However, regarding the circulation of this news, I did not hear how long the new contract would last, because the management did not announce it.
Now that Saka contract extension is a done deal as well as Martinelli, these young players will continue to improve as they grow in the game thus enable the team to be more formiy, however Arsenal should sign new quality players after releasing the likes of Xhaka, Hodling Partey and other surplus players to create space for the new signings because they will battle for UCL, premier league, FA Cupp trophies next season thus the team needed enough depth with quality players because there is going to be more matches to play especially midweek UCL matches and weekend games and it's a good policy of resting players for better performance.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 23, 2023, 09:33:26 AM
I also hope that Manchester City will win this season. As Manchester City's performance in the last few matches has shown us, City is now eligible to win the title. They are fully capable of beating Inter Milan. And Inter Milan's performance is not stable now. Unless City's players make a big mistake, they have no chance of losing against Inter Milan. However, since Inter Milan is a renowned and experienced team. City players must play very carefully. Winning against an experienced team is never an easy task.
Manchester City can maximize the opportunities this season as well as possible to get the championship trophy because they have a strong mentality compared to their opponents.  especially if Manchester City are aiming for a treble winner this season after they succeeded in the Domestic league and the focus going forward is the FA cup and the Champions League final.

Yes, just like you, I hope that Manchester city can win the UCL trophy for the first time and make a stunning history this season. Indeed, Inter Milan has experience in the Champions League and I think Pep Guardiola has his own way of beating Inter Milan in the final.

I believe Manchester City is not going to face too many problems in the Champions League final. After all, they have been able to beat the biggest team on their way which is Real Madrid. If we compare Real Madrid against Inter I think we will agree that Real Madrid in the Champions League is a very strong team compared to Inter. So I believe Manchester City has a better chance to win. But of course, there is no reason to underestimate Inter in the final of the Champions League. Manchester City will have to keep in mind that Inter is actually in the Champions League final for a reason Smiley.
Real Madrid hasn't formidable this season it's obvious they struggled in Laliga that shows how weak the team is this season, they are well beaten and thrashed at Etihad that result against by Man City wasn't a surprise to me, from all indication many soccer analysts and pundits are predicting Man City to win UCL against Inter Milan without considering the fact that the final match will be played on a neutral ground and Inter Milan will prove a point by playing brilliantly well and proving that they are not a mere pushover, honestly the wouldn't be easy as expected because it going to be a different ball game by Inter Milan..
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 23, 2023, 06:21:15 AM
Newcastle humiliating leicester indeed eith those huge gap stats.

They are dominating the whole match but leicester defend it successfully to survive staying at the premier league , crazy drama in the very last match of the season , both for newcastle to secure the last position to compete in next season champions league and for leicester to get the last spot to stay at premier league. It was pretty intense.
Leicester knew they weren't going to be able to get 3 points in their current form so, instead of being impulsive and keeping up with Newcastle's game they avoided it by aiming for 1 point and it did.
They are aware that the possibility of Everton dropping points in the last match against Manchester City is very large, although indeed it will not be effective if they also lose, but in the last match with such a possibility they will struggle more to win and get 3 points which will keep them from relegation.
Leceister City game plan by their manager Dean Smith was perfectly executed they played defensively with a 5-3-2 formation thus frustrated Newcastle whose three efforts hits the woodwork at the end Leceister City earned a draw knowing that playing attacking football will be counterproductive at St James Park and would have been well beaten, however the final battle line is on the final day when the three relegation battling teams Everton, Leceister City and Leeds will slug it out, of course two out of those three clubs will join Southampton who had already relegated, meanwhile congratulations to Newcastle for qualifying for UCL for the first time in 20 years.

I think as we approach halving of Bitcoin in 2024 that is when a major bull run will be expected and experience else all those fundamental analysis and predictions by the OP won't have any significant impact on the price of Bitcoin, those countries mentioned by the OP aren't major crypto adopters thus the price might continue to range with little upward movement, though the price might experience some minor bull trap and retracement that won't trigger any massive pump in the price of Bitcoin as predicted in June, however to be on safer side buy Bitcoin and accumulate.
