1  Economy / Economics / Re: Should there be a limit to investing in your children? on: Today at 09:10:05 AM
Parents can invest whatever they want on their children, of course there shouldn’t be a limit. Obviously it should be sensible investment, not putting the family in financial trouble or whatever but anything that doesn’t financially burden the family is fine.
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Case For President Trump on: June 07, 2024, 07:37:28 PM
I think due to the way the economy has gone during & post COVID, people will want a change. Biden & his party are going to get the blame, rightly or wrongly. Some people think change is a good thing, I am quite confident Trump will win unless he is put under house arrest & can’t campaign.
3  Other / Serious discussion / Re: presidential 2024 US. on: June 06, 2024, 06:47:13 PM
There's a very good chance we're going to re-elect the felon President.  Being a felon didn't stop Nelson Mandela from becoming President.

The Stormy Daniels court case is going to have some effect on what happens, some positive for Trump but the sentencing could really negatively effect him as I posted earlier in this thread. I think if the Democrats had somebody else running I think they would win. The problem is the voters who can be swung either way can see Biden deteriorating. He is not fit for purpose now, the poor guy has deteriorated so badly, people know he can’t run the most powerful country on earth for another four years.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the fate of Crypto currencies if Trumps losses in the US election on: June 06, 2024, 06:33:59 PM
Bitcoin is now a mainstream financial asset, Ethereum is becoming the same, other cryptocurrencies will continue to gain more & more users as time goes on. It doesn’t really matter who wins the election, the doors are open now & nothing is stopping crypto growing year on year.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racism in Soccer on: June 06, 2024, 06:26:39 PM
Racism isn’t confined to sports, it’s prevalent everywhere, some countries much more than others. The key is education, the effects racism can have on people can be demoralising. Children in schools need to be educated on it, diversity must be preached. It might be hard to change the ways of older people but we can make a change by educating the young on this matter.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between new tokens and old tokens, which would you invest into? on: June 06, 2024, 06:15:33 PM
The age of a token isn’t the only thing to consider when investing in a token. What is the circulating & max supply? How much money is the token, who are the team. The age of a token is only one factor when coming to a decision whether you should or shouldn’t buy it.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it still possible to retire early? on: June 06, 2024, 05:34:01 PM
It can still possible to retire early. Achieving early retirement requires careful financial planning & disciplined saving & investing. It means making smart choices with money like living below your means, minimising debt & maximising savings & investments. It may involve reducing expenses & increasing income through side hustles or other streams of income but early retirement is a realistic goal for those who are willing to make sacrifices, prioritise financial independence & consistently work towards their retirement goals.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu token, is there a future for this? on: June 05, 2024, 11:36:22 AM
Shiba Inu has a very large community, a lot of people like it. It will no doubt fly high in the upcoming bull market.
I would expect it will at least multiply in value by ten times the current price. Shiba Inu did so well in the last bull run, it won’t match those returns this time but it is a safe bet for great profits in the upcoming bull run.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing wisely in memecoins can give you returns. on: June 05, 2024, 10:54:13 AM
Some meme coins always do really well in a bull run. The difficulty is trying to pick the right ones because there are so many. It’s easy to pick the wrong ones & end up getting REKT but if you pick the right ones you can make life changing money. This is the game we play though, it’s live or die.
10  Other / Serious discussion / Re: presidential 2024 US. on: June 05, 2024, 10:16:25 AM
It’s very low rated felons so legally it changes nothing, Trump is still allowed to run for President. I believe the judge will decide his punishment on July 11th. This is where his chance of becoming President could be harmed. From what I’ve read, he is extremely unlikely to get jail time but house arrest or not being allowed to leave one State could destroy his campaign & therefore chances of becoming President.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Twitter (X) now to become XXX on: June 05, 2024, 10:08:43 AM
I think this fine but maybe to ensure kids don’t lie about their age when they create an X account & obviously be at risk of seeing X rated content, they should have to upload KYC, government issued identification. That’s the only thing that will severely limit the chances of minors seeing things they shouldn’t see.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have you blacklisted? on: June 05, 2024, 09:23:50 AM
I don’t buy anything that has a ridiculously high supply cap. Also not strictly altcoins but it comes under the same subset of investment types - NFTS. What a scam they are, I’d never buy one, they’re so obviously a big scam it’s untrue. NFTs are just a big money laundering scheme, the big guys selling bidding on their own NFTs, wash trading to clean up dirty money.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The main problem with ETH... on: June 05, 2024, 09:13:05 AM
Gas fees can often be too high & it’s the fact that it’s POS which makes me uncomfortable about its long term future. I’m sure it will do well over the short to mid term, the Spot ETF will drive investment but Vitalik having too much control is a big negative to me.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Things to avoid when you earn a lot or become rich on: June 05, 2024, 08:48:46 AM
If you’re lucky enough to become rich you should avoid excessive materialism, flaunting your wealth & surrounding yourself with money focused individuals. It's important to prioritise financial responsibility, seek genuine relationships & make informed investment decisions. You should avoid neglecting your personal well being & prioritise mental & physical health. By avoiding these pitfalls you can maintain a balanced & fulfilling life as a wealthy person.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping your assets safe in the crypto space.. on: June 04, 2024, 12:30:12 PM
Use a clean PC or laptop when you’re dealing with cryptocurrencies. A separate one is ideal if possible, do not visit any torrent or file sharing websites. Your private keys & or seed are for your eyes only. Common sense & concentration goes a long way to keeping your money safe.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: True wealth comes from income when you sleeping but earning on: June 04, 2024, 12:18:57 PM
The great Warren Buffett said,  “If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.”

He’s mostly right isn’t it. Try to create a passive income if possible.
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there really a path to success? on: June 04, 2024, 08:59:37 AM
There is a path to success but it varies for each person. Success is subjective & can be defined differently by different people. There are common elements that contribute to success such as setting clear goals, working hard, staying persistent, being adaptable, learning from failures, seeking opportunities, building strong relationships & keeping a positive mindset. It requires determination, dedication & continuous personal growth. Success is a journey & the path might have obstacles but with the right mindset & actions it’s possible to achieve it.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia has moved 11 nuclear submarines into the Atlantic Ocean on: May 31, 2024, 06:47:34 PM
I don’t envisage this to be anything that indicates they plan to instigate nuclear warfare. It’s all just drills, posturing & preparation just incase they ever need to act. Starting a war by firing nukes is so serious, it’s not an action that the rest of the world would allow without serious consequences. Things like this have happened before & will again. We do not need to worry about imminent nuclear warfare.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save you against inflation if you invest in & hold it some years on: May 31, 2024, 06:35:53 PM
Bitcoin is now moving into the mainstream financial world. Pretty soon you will be stupid not to own any. I don’t think there has ever been an asset like it. I would not feel comfortable not having any exposure to Bitcoin in my portfolio. Inflation is a very real threat to our purchasing power, Bitcoin is the perfect antidote.
20  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Dethrone the Dollar on: May 30, 2024, 06:28:10 PM
The USD will fail as the World Reserve Currency in the next 100-150 years but it’s not going anywhere for a while. You can protect yourself against its obvious failures though by regularly buying & holding Bitcoin. Protect your purchasing power by opting out of the system.
