381  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How is an ordinary person's week going in your country? on: December 30, 2023, 07:52:55 PM
The average person's day in the US typically starts with waking up, getting ready for work or school & commuting to their destination. Throughout the day they engage in various activities such as work, attending meetings/classes, taking breaks & having meals. After work or school they may participate in recreational activities, spend time with family or friends or run errands. Evenings often involve dinner, relaxation & pursuing personal interests. Finally they wind down, prepare for bed & get a good night's sleep to start the cycle again the next day.
382  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Moving to America on: December 30, 2023, 02:34:05 PM
If you are looking for a state in America that prioritises safety, diversity, lack of racism, peace & a high standard of living consider California. California is known for its diverse population, progressive values & strong anti-discrimination laws. It offers a range of cities with excellent amenities, cultural richness & opportunities for personal & professional growth. Remember that experiences can vary within states so thorough research & consideration of individual preferences are advised before making a decision.
383  Other / Archival / Re: Generational wealth on: December 30, 2023, 02:23:49 PM
To create generational wealth in the pharmaceutical industry as a pharmacist it is essential to focus on several key strategies. Invest in continuous learning & stay updated with industry advancements to remain competitive. Consider expanding your network & building strong relationships with other professionals in the field. This can lead to new opportunities & collaborations. Develop a strong business acumen & explore entrepreneurial endeavours such as starting your own pharmacy or investing in pharmaceutical companies. Prioritise long term financial planning including saving, investing wisely & diversifying your portfolio. Also incase you forgot, this is a Bitcoin forum, why else would we be here if we aren’t saving in Bitcoin.
384  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are we expecting between now and Bitcoin halving? on: December 29, 2023, 03:40:11 PM
I don’t think we can base our predictions on past cycles because just before previous halvings, we did not have a potential Bitcoin Spot ETF approval. This time we have a high potential to see a bunch of Bitcoin Spot ETF’s approved by the SEC. That would be huge for Bitcoin & I would assume we would pump hard on the news. To summarise:

ETF approval - pump hard
ETF rejection - dump
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy Acquires 14,620 Bitcoin, Don't get carried away. on: December 29, 2023, 03:29:26 PM
Saylor is relentless isn’t he, he/MSTR will not stop until he/they own at least 1% of all the Bitcoin that will ever exist. They are not far away from that milestone already, such an incredible feat. At one stage they were at a large loss in unrealised ROI. Now though they are massively in unrealised profit. In the words f the great man himself, ‘there is no second best’ , ‘it’s going up forever.’
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when you look at your first Bitcoin wallet? on: December 29, 2023, 03:24:48 PM
I feel a mixture of emotions when I look at my Bitcoin wallet. I feel lucky & happy that I was early enough to build a not unsubstantial stash. I feel glad that I was able to invest because the alternative places to store your wealth are not good. Maybe I feel slightly unsatisfied as even though I have a decent stash I should have more.
387  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you see young girls who engage into prostitution on: December 29, 2023, 02:47:47 PM
Everybody is free to do what they want, personal choice is present in a free world. I mean, you wouldn’t want to take one of these girls home for dinner with your Mother but they are just doing a job. Anybody who is willingly working in the sex industry is not a problem. The problem is people who are being trafficked or forced into prostitution. In that case I feel bitterly sorry for them & hope they can manage to get out of that life.
388  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are the Western people very apolitical? on: December 29, 2023, 02:19:40 PM
Western people are not inherently apolitical. Some people may choose not to engage in political activities or discussions but there are many Western people who are actively involved in politics & express their opinions on various issues. Political engagement varies among individuals & can be influenced by factors such as personal beliefs, interests & societal context. It would be inaccurate to generalise all Western people as apolitical as political participation is diverse & can take various forms.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 27, 2023, 11:54:29 AM
Predicting the next hype in cryptocurrency is tough due to the unpredictable nature of the market. There are some emerging trends that might gain momentum. Decentralized finance (DeFi) is gaining popularity offering innovative financial services built on blockchain technology. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are also gaining attention revolutionising the art & collectibles market. Advancements in privacy focused cryptocurrencies & the integration of cryptocurrencies into mainstream financial systems might shape the next craze. The future of cryptocurrency trends will depend on technological advancements & market demand.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Attack on Bitcoin’ Claims Circulate as Transaction Fees Climb Higher on: December 27, 2023, 11:42:51 AM
This entire fiasco is a short-term issue which I doubt will ever repeat again at any point in the future since whoever is responsible for it doesn't have unlimited money to burn. The silver lining here is that the miners made bank.

BTC has proven again and again that it can withstand any kind of attack which is the best answer to all of its haters.

Agree with all said here, the Ordinals guys will run out of money or move onto the next stupid craze. It’s disruptive & makes fees much higher but I think they will move onto something else soon. It’s like the ICO craze of 2017, the NFT craze of 2020/21. Those crazes dried up & people got bored, they will also get bored of stupid images stored on the blockchain too.
391  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Trump is Americas best option on: December 27, 2023, 11:31:18 AM
Unfortunately it doesn’t matter all that much to the average person, which of the main two political parties are in office. Some things are better with the Republicans, some things are better with the Democrats but for the average person it doesn't make too much difference. Whatever one gives with one hand they take with the other. I don’t trust any politician, they all have their own agendas.
392  Economy / Economics / Re: Will they ever be able to afford a house? on: December 27, 2023, 11:24:54 AM
The affordability of houses for young people is a complex issue influenced by various factors such as economic conditions, housing policies & personal financial situations. It is tough to predict the future with certainty, there are potential solutions that can help improve affordability like government initiatives, increased housing supply & innovative financing options. By addressing these challenges collectively it’s possible to create a future where young people have more opportunities to afford a house.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Sometimes tips the securities at the mall or local shops on: December 27, 2023, 10:01:23 AM
I guess you can tip who you want, if you feel you’ve had good service somewhere throw them a tip. It’s not normal practise to tip a security guard but I’m sure it’s done so go for it. It’s definitely not an easy job, some days could be really bad, I don’t know what their pay is like but tip them if you want.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose, arrange and create your portfolio of altcoins on: December 27, 2023, 09:58:10 AM
You're pretty much just doing the spray-and-pray method, just hoping that you hit it big on some of your random picks. Will this work? If you're lucky then sure; not a fan of it though. I'm personally more of a fan of making specific picks by reading docs.

Spray & pray can work but I also don’t do it. Many of the people who got in early on coins like PEPE are proof it can work though. If you’re going to buy a bunch of altcoins though I recommend that you try to do as much research as possible. Buying blind is OK if you allocate a small amount, hoping to strike it lucky.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: December 27, 2023, 06:45:28 AM
I still think at this stage, you should put the majority, if not all of it into Bitcoin. I just like the safety of Bitcoin, I mean sure you could potentially make bigger ROI with an altcoin but none offer the guarantee & security that Bitcoin does.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 26, 2023, 07:50:22 PM
Lots of people new to crypto say this & it’s a sure fire way to lose your money. So many altcoins rug pull & people lose everything. Bitcoin is time proven & beats inflation, it’s the best asset to invest in. You might not get rich fast but put that $2,000 into Bitcoin & DCA as much as possible, you will do well.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Accomplished What Brought You to Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2023, 02:23:46 PM
I got into Bitcoin to make my life better. I have succeeded in that target but there is so much more that I expect & want from Bitcoin. I think I am married to Bitcoin forever even if I like it or not. I am so heavily invested that it going to shape my life & success or lack of.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 26, 2023, 02:04:46 PM
It’s been good for me but only with unrealised profits. I haven’t sold anything this year as I think 2024 & 2025 will be even better. We are up a lot in 2023 but there is much more room for upwards price trajectory in this market.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jpg monkeys are making the fees impossible? Just use a meme coin! on: December 22, 2023, 03:53:49 PM
It’ll pass, there is nothing to be concerned about. It was the same during the block size wars of yesteryear. This stupid fad of imbedding tokens on the blockchain will pass. The delinquents doing it will get bored & move onto something new or run out of money. Just be patient, I am sure this will pass & fees will return to being much lower.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another year is going to end. Bitcoin isn't dead on: December 22, 2023, 03:34:39 PM
Bitcoin is far from dead, let’s enjoy laughing at all the doubters, FUDSTERS & trolls who could have made life changing money if they weren’t so ignorant, arrogant & closed minded. Early adopters & innovators have & will continue to be rewarded for their bravery & critical thinking.
