281  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you think it's best to consistently use the same exchange? on: June 14, 2024, 08:22:22 PM
Using the same exchange regularly decreases the chances that they will confiscate funds & ask for the source of them. You will likely have to KYC but what’s the problem with that if you have nothing to hide. Like anything in business/finance, regularity improves trust between two parties.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Over 100 million players on Hamster Kombat 🤯 on: June 14, 2024, 08:12:21 PM
Buying a presale is always risky, I recently got rugged on one to be honest. I’m not going to go into too many details on it because I’m embarrassed I fell for it. This Hamster Kombat could be the same so do your research first if you plan to invest. Don’t invest too much so if it is a rug pull or a scam you’re not too badly affected financially.
283  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: June 14, 2024, 07:58:38 PM
He’s either a genius or very stupid & so far he looks like a genius. It’s really intriguing to see him relentlessly buying, there doesn’t seem to be anything that will stop him buying. He is repeatedly sweeping up the supply, every weak handed bitcoin owner should look at his persistence & question their own motives. You should always imitate what these kind of people do.
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are signs that you live in a dystopia? on: June 14, 2024, 07:51:11 PM
In a dystopia signs may include oppressive government control, limited freedom of speech, extreme social inequality, lack of resources, environmental degradation, suppression of individuality, fear, censorship, privacy loss & absence of justice.
285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it true that good people don't live long in the society? on: June 14, 2024, 07:42:58 PM
No it’s not true that good people don't live long in society. The length of a persons life is influenced by a multitude of things including genetics, lifestyle choices & external circumstances. Some good people may face challenges or adversity but many good people live long fulfilling lives & make significant positive contributions to society.
286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: June 12, 2024, 02:57:54 PM
I don’t trust it & I didn’t take it but luckily, despite media & government officials trying hard to convince us, nobody forced us in my country to have it. I was concerned for a while we might be excluded from society for not having it but it was OK in the end. I feel I might the right choice not to take it.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: June 12, 2024, 02:06:14 PM
I am still doing nothing, we are in very early bull market phase. I will not sell anything until next year when I think/hope prices will be much higher. Traditionally we don’t have a really parabolic run until 12 months AFTER the bitcoin block reward halving.
288  Economy / Economics / Re: The choice of investment is dependent on your region of residency. on: June 12, 2024, 07:47:12 AM
The choice of investment can be dependent on your region of residency. Different regions have different economic conditions, regulations & market trends that can influence the suitability & profitability of certain investments. Industries like real estate, tech & energy may thrive in one region but face challenges in another. Also tax laws & investment incentives can differ between regions impacting the overall return on investment. It’s important to consider local factors & seek advice from professionals familiar with your specific region when making investment decisions.
289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest Crypto Mistake: Shorting Bitcoin on: June 11, 2024, 04:45:45 PM
You can make money shorting Bitcoin but any kind of leverage trading is not a good idea to do regularly. By far tge most proven path of success when dealing with Bitcoin is just to HODL long term. Sure it’s boring but it’s effective, simple.
290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UN placed Israel in the same list as ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Boko Haram on: June 08, 2024, 06:38:16 PM
The persistent bombing killing women, children, innocent civilians needs to stop. A ceasefire must be reached or the powers that be have to stop them. They have gone far & beyond revenge for what Hamas did. Killing innocent civilians in the vain attempts to kill Hamas terrorists who may not even be in the specific area of interest is cold blooded murder. The Israeli leader should be locked up for war crimes.
291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is lying now part of human nature? on: June 08, 2024, 06:04:35 PM
Lying can be considered part of human nature because it’s a behaviour that has been observed across cultures & throughout history. Humans have the ability to deceive others for various reasons such as self preservation, social acceptance or personal gain. Lying is not exclusive to humans, it’s a complex & nuanced behaviour that is deeply ingrained in our social interactions & cognitive processes. Obviously not all people engage in lying & there are varying degrees of honesty among people.
292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump convicted 34 counts. on: June 08, 2024, 10:13:09 AM
Seems we could have imminent drama. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna156128

The New York judge overseeing Donald Trump's hush money trial has asked attorneys in the case about a social media post purporting to preview the former president's guilty verdict.

“Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System’s public Facebook page and which I now bring to your attention,” Judge Juan Merchan wrote in a letter dated Friday.

“My cousin is a juror and said Trump is getting convicted,” the post stated, according to Merchan's letter. “Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!!”

Merchan said that the comment, which was attributed to a user identified as Michael Anderson, was "now labeled as one week old," and was posted in response to a routine notice from the court posted on May 29 about oral arguments unrelated to proceedings in Trump’s case.

When a defendant who has been convicted by a jury but has not yet been sentenced learns of alleged jury misconduct, he can move to set aside the verdict under New York criminal procedure law. If a defendant can prove that jury misconduct “may have affected a substantial right of the defendant,” the remedy is a new trial.

NBC News has not verified the claims made in the comment or the identity of the user who published the post, which has since been deleted. NBC News also hasn't independently confirmed the comment’s existence.

A Trump campaign official said "we're investigating" when asked about Merchan's letter.

Attorneys for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday afternoon, nor did a spokesperson for the Manhattan district attorney's office.

Trump was convicted last month on 34 counts of falsifying business records tied to reimbursing Cohen for hush money paid to Daniels in the final days of the 2016 campaign. Trump had pleaded not guilty in the case and denied Daniels’ claims that she had a sexual encounter with him in 2006. Trump’s sentencing in the case is scheduled for July 11.

293  Economy / Economics / Re: Should there be a limit to investing in your children? on: June 08, 2024, 09:10:05 AM
Parents can invest whatever they want on their children, of course there shouldn’t be a limit. Obviously it should be sensible investment, not putting the family in financial trouble or whatever but anything that doesn’t financially burden the family is fine.
294  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Case For President Trump on: June 07, 2024, 07:37:28 PM
I think due to the way the economy has gone during & post COVID, people will want a change. Biden & his party are going to get the blame, rightly or wrongly. Some people think change is a good thing, I am quite confident Trump will win unless he is put under house arrest & can’t campaign.
295  Other / Serious discussion / Re: presidential 2024 US. on: June 06, 2024, 06:47:13 PM
There's a very good chance we're going to re-elect the felon President.  Being a felon didn't stop Nelson Mandela from becoming President.

The Stormy Daniels court case is going to have some effect on what happens, some positive for Trump but the sentencing could really negatively effect him as I posted earlier in this thread. I think if the Democrats had somebody else running I think they would win. The problem is the voters who can be swung either way can see Biden deteriorating. He is not fit for purpose now, the poor guy has deteriorated so badly, people know he can’t run the most powerful country on earth for another four years.
296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the fate of Crypto currencies if Trumps losses in the US election on: June 06, 2024, 06:33:59 PM
Bitcoin is now a mainstream financial asset, Ethereum is becoming the same, other cryptocurrencies will continue to gain more & more users as time goes on. It doesn’t really matter who wins the election, the doors are open now & nothing is stopping crypto growing year on year.
297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racism in Soccer on: June 06, 2024, 06:26:39 PM
Racism isn’t confined to sports, it’s prevalent everywhere, some countries much more than others. The key is education, the effects racism can have on people can be demoralising. Children in schools need to be educated on it, diversity must be preached. It might be hard to change the ways of older people but we can make a change by educating the young on this matter.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between new tokens and old tokens, which would you invest into? on: June 06, 2024, 06:15:33 PM
The age of a token isn’t the only thing to consider when investing in a token. What is the circulating & max supply? How much money is the token, who are the team. The age of a token is only one factor when coming to a decision whether you should or shouldn’t buy it.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it still possible to retire early? on: June 06, 2024, 05:34:01 PM
It can still possible to retire early. Achieving early retirement requires careful financial planning & disciplined saving & investing. It means making smart choices with money like living below your means, minimising debt & maximising savings & investments. It may involve reducing expenses & increasing income through side hustles or other streams of income but early retirement is a realistic goal for those who are willing to make sacrifices, prioritise financial independence & consistently work towards their retirement goals.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shiba Inu token, is there a future for this? on: June 05, 2024, 11:36:22 AM
Shiba Inu has a very large community, a lot of people like it. It will no doubt fly high in the upcoming bull market.
I would expect it will at least multiply in value by ten times the current price. Shiba Inu did so well in the last bull run, it won’t match those returns this time but it is a safe bet for great profits in the upcoming bull run.
