241  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Julian Assange to plea guilty, released from UK prison on: June 25, 2024, 12:43:50 PM
This is great news, he has been unfairly treated for a long time. I personally don’t think he should ever have been chased by the law in the first place. Now the next hope is that Ross Ulbricht is pardoned, comparable or even worse supposed crimes by both men usually receive much less harsh treatment
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is performing just fine currently on: June 25, 2024, 11:42:20 AM
Every bull run has consolidation periods where the price seems stagnant & isn’t rising. Also every bull run so far has had corrections that scare less experienced, cowardly investors & makes them sell. We are currently in the midst of what some might see as reason to panic. There is no need to panic though, Bitcoin is doing just fine. I predict we end 2024 over $75,000 per coin.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn with your crypto? on: June 25, 2024, 11:32:06 AM
Lots of people will tell you to stake your coins or play around with leverage trading but both of these options can end up with you getting REKT. My advice would be less exciting, less exotic, just invest in well established coins & HODL for years, continue to buy during the years & you will make a lot of profit.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH a commodity now? on: June 25, 2024, 11:05:27 AM
Ethereum is a security, one guy controls what happens with it. A big % of the supply was pre-mined. Being a security doesn’t mean Ethereum is a bad investment, it’s done so well, many people have become very wealthy by investing in it plus the chain provides huge value to all ERC-20 tokens. It is definitely not a commodity.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giving back to this wonderful forum! on: June 25, 2024, 09:00:36 AM
Dude just keep the $1, nobody is that desperate to win $1. I hope you’re not just fishing for Merit because this could be construed as buying Merit which isn’t looked upon kindly on this forum. Give money to charity if you want because $1 is not worth getting out of bed for.
246  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to pitch a Bitcoin investment idea and gain backings? on: June 25, 2024, 08:39:06 AM
It could be possible to pitch a Bitcoin investment idea & gain backing. To successfully pitch your idea you should clearly articulate the potential benefits & risks of investing in Bitcoin, demonstrate a deep understanding of the market & tech & try to provide a well researched & persuasive business plan. Attempt to highlight the growing adoption of Bitcoin, its potential as a hedge against inflation & the increasing institutional interest can help attract potential backers. Building trust & credibility through past investment successes & networking within the cryptocurrency community can also increase the likelihood of gaining backing for your Bitcoin investment idea.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What ruined your chances of investing in Bitcoin earlier? on: June 22, 2024, 09:12:59 AM
I started buying in 2015, I was aware of Bitcoin in 2013 but when I thought about buying the Gox crash happened. I was scared away then & only started buying in 2015. It worked out really well for me any way butcI could have had more Bitcoin if I’d had the balls to buy earlier. We all could have more Bitcoin but I guess we could have less too. I’m happy with my situation.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Fatigue: Have We Seen the Last of the Free Money Era? on: June 22, 2024, 09:08:11 AM
I remember getting lots of free money via airdrops during the 2017/18 blocksize war. I claimed so much momey via the airdropped BCH, BTG plus various smaller shitforks like Bitcoin Diamond. I don’t think there will be another time like that again but if there is, I’m here to claim the free money.
249  Economy / Economics / Re: The choice of investment is dependent on your region of residency. on: June 22, 2024, 08:52:15 AM
The region you are in can definitely affect the types of investments you make. Different regions have varying economic conditions, industries & regulations which can influence investment opportunities. Certain regions may have a strong tech sector, while others may be known for natural resources. Regulatory frameworks & tax policies can differ between regions impacting the viability & profitability of specific investments. Understanding the local market & considering regional factors is crucial in making informed investment decisions.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: A lot wealthy people not smart they just use debt on: June 22, 2024, 08:13:45 AM
Serviceable debt is fine as long as it’s invested in assets that will eventually make you money. For example buying lots of properties & renting them out is fine as your tenant pays the mortgage & eventually you will have a passive income. Taking a loan to buy Bitcoin is fine too as long as you can make the monthly payments.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember on: June 21, 2024, 02:18:03 PM
That's true, I'm still trying to be cautious. I have a lot of faith in Bitcoin, but I still understand that it's not 100% safe. But a lot of influencers are pushing that idea.

First of all never put any faith in so called Bitcoin influencers. They are usually bad actors & will disappoint you in time, even if at first their intentions seem good. I have seen so many come & go, revert to shilling shitcoins & bogus rug pulls. Bitcoin will treat you well if you have conviction & patience. Buy Bitcoin regularly, keep buying & hold for many years, guaranteed inflation beater.
252  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin is becoming a center-stage issue in US elections on: June 21, 2024, 02:09:31 PM
Anthony Scaramucci Thinks Trump is Hiding Behind Bitcoin To Get Votes, Predicts a BTC Price Surge if Biden Wins Second Term

https://bitcoinics.com/anthony-scaramucci-bitcoin-surge-if-biden-wins/

Well that’s usually how it works. Candidates promise changes & have key policy changes that they hope will win them votes. Biden can neutralise Trump’s Bitcoin play by also being Bitcoin friendly but his party has been hostile for a long time with his stooges like Gensler & Warren. If Biden refuses to be Bitcoin friendly then he may lose the election as many voters have exposure to Bitcoin.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO's make a comeback? on: June 21, 2024, 01:59:39 PM
I don’t think so, there were loads of scams in the 2016/17 bull run ICO craze. Loads of people were fined & prosecuted by the SEC. I don’t think this bull run craze will be ICOs again. It was ICOs in 2017, NFTs in 2020/21 but it will be something different this time.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Silver undervalued? on: June 21, 2024, 01:48:43 PM
I don’t think it’s undervalued no, I think it’s at the price it should be. I’m not even a fan of Gold but less so Silver. It was a great investment 100 years ago or more but Bitcoin is much better, I would even prefer stocks to Silver.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin layer2 will come ? on: June 20, 2024, 05:57:39 PM
Lightning Network is already here for years now, it is increasing in adoption all the time but still relatively low use case, especially with comparison to Layer 1. Hopefully as time passes Lightning can be integrated into Layer 1 so it gains widespread use. Layer 2 is able to be used for small transactions, the fees are tiny, I really hope it develops more.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how much do you love bitcoins? on: June 20, 2024, 05:45:23 PM
I love Bitcoin because it’s real money, it can’t be counterfeited & no more can be printed. It’s decentralised, no individual or small group of assholes have full control of it. There isn’t really anything I don’t like about Bitcoin, most of my money is invested in Bitcoin.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Take Profit in this Bullrun on: June 20, 2024, 05:30:36 PM
Just set up a sell ladder & try to stick to it. Obviously things can change but it’s good to set certain points where you plan to sell certain amounts. My plan is to sell a certain percentage of my portfolio & invest in things that can give me a passive income. I will also allocate a pot to buy back in the next bear market too.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: June 20, 2024, 05:09:23 PM
Investment is a want, crypto or tradfi, investing is a want. Most regular people don’t have the spare money to make significant investments. I absolutely advocate for making your money make money so investing in various coins is a necessity for me but I think we are in the minority because the average guy is just going month to month trying to live..
259  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin will exacerbate wealth inequality on: June 20, 2024, 11:25:19 AM
I know where you're coming from but you must know that there is no equality anywhere. The class difference still exist on almost everything in life.

This is true, we can either complain about how unfair life is or we can get up off our ass, work hard to buy Bitcoin & watch our money work for us. The more time spent moaning means less time to do something constructive & change our lives. I know which side of the wealth divide I want to be on.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you prepared for the $5 wrench attack ? (1000 ETH stolen) on: June 19, 2024, 02:13:37 PM
Really sorry to read this story OP, it sucks that you had to go through this experience. Nothing we do or say can make things any better, you know yourself that your money is gone & won’t be retrieved. All I can do is recommend that people try to be as discrete as possible about their involvement in crypto & maybe even set up a decoy Trezor with 10% of their crypto on & if they’re unfortunate to be under a home evasion, give up the 10% & not their main stash which is hidden.
