521  Economy / Economics / Re: Honestly do we really got rugpulled in pandemic? on: November 11, 2023, 09:41:32 AM
Lots of the supposed conspiracy theories during that time actually came true, that’s all I’ll say on the matter though. I mean we were led to believe COVID was a deadly virus that would wipe out large % of the world. We were then told the ‘vaccine’ would stop you getting the virus, then it was 90% effective, then 75%, then 50% & so on. An actual vaccine stops you contracting a disease, it gives you immunity. Lots of the richest people in the world profited on what happened. People like Bill Gates were buying big pharma shares before the virus happened. It all stinks but we’re the little people & we’ll never be told what is really going on. Let’s remember they gave us $1,400 stimulus cheques but then left us with insane inflation after printing trillions, doesn’t seem like a good trade for us.
522  Other / Politics & Society / Re: An easy way to overcome China and Russia on: November 11, 2023, 09:34:26 AM
I really don’t think it is a good idea to threaten direct conflict towards China & Russia. They are very dangerous countries, they will not think twice about serious actions & retaliation which would be catastrophic. There has to be other ways to deal with powerful, dangerous nations like those mentioned. Sanctions & cutting them off from well known banking systems is a much better idea. In the days where nuclear war is a real possibility, it’s best not to antagonise them.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock Ethereum ETF Filing on: November 10, 2023, 03:22:05 PM
Bitcoin will be approved first, almost certainly. They are not going to get an Ethereum one confirmed before the ultimate, most well known cryptocurrency. What this tells me though is that the bitcoin one must almost certainly be expected to be approved. Blackrock, as the largest asset manager in the world, does not do failure. They must have had encouragement from the SEC regarding the bitcoin ETF so have pushed ahead with an Ethereum ETF application. Exciting times lay ahead I think.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you cope with those around you not believing in you for choosing Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2023, 02:16:12 PM
I couldn’t care less about other peoples opinions on my bitcoin investments & involvements. I’ve had many family members & friends, associates etc make sarcastic remarks when the price has gone down but they’ve all been made to look very silly as long term, the price just continues to rise & make new all time highs. You would think that they would eat humble pie & buy but they don’t. Presumably they’ll be making sarcastic remarks towards ke when the price drops from 150k to 40k or something similar in 2026/27.
525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding for long might not be the best option. on: November 10, 2023, 02:02:14 PM
Bitcoin’s history is full of people with weak hands who sell when the price goes down & don’t buy back in. They then inevitably look & feel stupid when we soar to new highs. OP you mention about 2 years, suggesting that is long term holding. It isn’t long term holding, you need to hold for at least 4-6 years & then you will see that it’s very unlikely you will be in anything other than significant profit. Lots of people don’t have the balls to invest in bitcoin & ride the volatility waves.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 10, 2023, 01:51:22 PM
I will always check the price & I don’t think that will ever change. I mean sure, I won’t be panicking about my future prospects when it dumps from 300k per coin to 100k or something in the future but I will always check the price regardless of how wealthy I am. I probably check the price 20 or 30 tikes a day at the moment & even more than that during peak bull & then peak bear markets.
527  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Crazy week. I lost a dear friend and I lost my job on: November 10, 2023, 01:46:23 PM
OP is quite active on the forum especially in the Collectibles section. It’s been a while since he posted in his thread, it was quite a moving OP. Would he good if he checked in here to update on how he is doing.

In any case, I hope he’s OK & is having better luck.

Thanks for your concern m8, all of you.  Things are looking up. I did take a job for the last 3 months working in something I was really passionate about which was gold and silver coins, it was a telemarketing gig selling rare coins to collectors. The business owner was a friend of mine but the hours were too late to be present with family or anywhere else, he was over demanding and micromanaging to the max so I decided to quit. Another job fell in my lap, had it lined up before I quit.  They value their employees so much more, big company, big benefits and commissions with a decent salary doing consultant work so I just started that gig and right now im pretty excited about it. Still barely scraping by as I'm not bitcoin rich, not even close but I'm gonna get mine some day!! Lord willing. It's gonna be a lot of work, but it's gonna be worth it. The best part it that it's fulfilling and I'm actually helping people get into a better position, literally. The job is in recruitment and I work best with people so it's a natural fit for me.

Keep grinding away pal & like you say, you’ll get yours one day. Hope the new job is going well & things are looking up. I see you’re still pretty active in the forum, good to see.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Releases Web3 Wallet custodial crap on: November 08, 2023, 12:27:51 PM
This is just Binance trying to squeeze every last cent that they can with their shitcoin casino brand. I know they have a long history of being trustworthy but by promoting  so many alts, it just adds to the risk they carry. Obviously people shouldn’t still need to be told to take custody of their own money but seriously, avoid this like the plague.
529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet is safe for long term Bitcoin storage? on: November 08, 2023, 11:56:49 AM
I've asked many people, big and small, which wallet bitcoins are the safest to store long-term.
Many of them said to keep Bitcoin in Binance Account, Ku Coin Account, Trust Wallet. Now my question is if I keep my bitcoins in these wallets will I be able to use them whenever I want and will it be safe.
Are there other wallets where bitcoins are most secure?
I want your opinion.

Absolutely not, none of those you listed would be anywhere near the top of a list for safest, most trustworthy wallets. Others have said but cold storage should be your first choice method. Trezor would be the number one choice, please buy from the official website only www.trezor.io
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: November 08, 2023, 11:17:03 AM
In general, I see all NFTs as a scam  Undecided I have never bought and probably will not buy NFT!

Yeah they are a passing craze in my opinion. I do not expect them to have as big a run up & FOMO period as we saw previously in 2020 & 2021. People will continue to buy them, some may even make good profits but overall they have zero utility & real world use. I would steer well clear of them, they are not a viable long term investment.
531  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 08, 2023, 11:01:36 AM
My plan stays the same as it always was. I got in quite early so I sell some during each bull run, I make good use of that money, improve my life, try to get passive income & also buy some of the bitcoin back at more than 50% lower than what I sold at during the inevitable bear market that follows. It’s a fool proof system so far.
532  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Best Bitcoin Chart Ever on: November 08, 2023, 10:46:45 AM
$178,000 in late 2025 will do nicely. If history repeats then this seems like a correct timing for the ATH, before entering the next bear market. This would align with diminishing returns also as $178,000 is less than 3 x  the last ATH of $69,000. I think we will all be happy if $178,000 happens in 2025 though.
533  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 08, 2023, 10:17:39 AM
The normal age for financial stability varies for individuals based on their goals, circumstances & financial habits.
Maybe by the age of 30 you should aim to have a stable income, a well-managed budget, a savings plan & a good credit score. It's important to start building financial stability as early as possible but remember that everyone's journey is different & it's never too late to start taking control of your finances.
534  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Do you eat tacos on Taco Tuesday? on: November 08, 2023, 09:33:28 AM
I don’t do it regularly but I have definitely eaten Tacos on a Tuesday more than once. They are a great food, filled with beef mince, onions, tomato, lettuce, chilli, sour creme. I’m getting hungry now thinking about it, might have to be a Taco Wednesday in my household tonight.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 8k for passive income. on: November 07, 2023, 10:20:21 AM
You’re not going to get passive income with an $8000 investment. You are here on a bitcoin forum so you are clearly at least slightly interested in cryptocurrency. Just buy bitcoin & be patient for many years. It’s boring & not what you want to hear but you will beat pretty much every other investment class over long term.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Massive rise on bitcoin price, Is this a bullish Sign or ETF hype? on: November 07, 2023, 10:11:50 AM
It’s just a cyclical move as we are heading out of the bear market & into early bull territory. Lots of things are stacking up which will make people move to bitcoin. Like you said, spot etf’s are coming which will be huge. Also the halving is in Q2 of 2024. Things are about to become very good for bitcoin bag holders.
537  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Financial stability on: November 07, 2023, 09:46:54 AM
I’m really unsure about the biblical reference but financial stability requires careful planning & disciplined habits. Start by creating a budget to track income & expenses allowing you to prioritise savings & avoid unnecessary debt. Build an emergency fund for unexpected expenses & consider investing in long term financial goals. Reduce unnecessary expenses & find ways to increase your income like additional education or side hustles. Regularly review & adjust your financial plan to stay on track.
538  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 04, 2023, 12:35:08 PM
It won’t put an end to all work but a large number of occupations could be done by AI. Obviously physical jobs like neighbourhood garbage disposal teams can’t be done by AI but clerical jobs can be undertaken by computer systems. I think AI is a brilliant innovation that can really help humanity but there is a fine like between helping & hindering. I think we need to be very careful with how far AI can go, how far it is pushed.
539  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: November 03, 2023, 05:11:59 AM
Kraken is not a scam at all, they are a great exchange with a long history of being trustworthy. I have used them for many years transacting large amounts. They have successful & transparent proof of reserves. Along with Coinbase they are the most trustworthy exchange in the world. Obviously never leave a large % of your assets on ANY exchange long term, not your keys not your coins, but in my experience at least, Kraken is fine.
540  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 02, 2023, 09:04:33 PM
I’m currently unsure on which direction the price could take in November. I feel like we are still tied to the macro environment & legacy financial markets. What, if anything will the FED do next. We still move based on what Powell says or ironically, doesn’t say. Providing nothing drastic transpires in November then potentially we can expect non violent upwards movement. Let’s hope to see a repeat of October, that was enjoyable.
