341  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just a reminder. Don't lose yourself in the process. on: January 06, 2024, 02:12:21 PM
It is important not to get consumed by work & to enjoy home life, family time & leisure time because a healthy work life balance is essential for overall well being. Constantly focusing on work can lead to burnout, stress & health issues. By prioritising personal & family time we can recharge, strengthen relationships & find fulfilment outside of work. It allows us to create memories, pursue hobbies & take care of ourselves physically & mentally. A balanced life leads to increased productivity, happiness & a sense of purpose beyond professional achievements.
342  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just HODL on: January 06, 2024, 01:43:38 PM
Currently the best thing to do is HODL. Obviously there is no point dying with your coins unspent but for now it is time to HODL. We are entering a period in Bitcoin specifically where it would be silly to start selling now. We have lots of very bullish events very close. Next week could be specifically bullish due to potentially ground breaking regulatory approvals. Don’t sell any for at least 18 months, the price will be much higher then.

344  Economy / Economics / Re: How is it possible to say there is no money in the bank on: January 04, 2024, 09:12:15 PM
A bank can go bust due to loads of different reasons. Fractional reserve banking is a major one of them. Fractional reserve banking allows banks to lend out a portion of the deposits they receive keeping only a fraction as reserves. If depositors lose confidence & withdraw more money than the bank can cover it can lead to a bank run & potential insolvency. Other factors such as bad loans, mismanagement, economic downturns or external shocks can also contribute to a bank's failure. A combination of factors can undermine a bank's stability leading to its collapse.

346  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why it's very important to develop a thick skin on: January 04, 2024, 04:43:57 PM
Developing a thick skin and not caring about what others think of you is important. When we are overly concerned about others opinions it can hinder our ability to be authentic and make decisions based on our own values & desires. Having a thick skin allows us to maintain confidence in ourselves & our abilities enabling us to take risks and pursue our goals without being easily discouraged by criticism or judgment. It also promotes resilience which helps us bounce back from setbacks & maintain emotional stability. Prioritising our own self worth & happiness over others opinions leads to a more fulfilling & empowered life.
347  Economy / Economics / Re: The Jim Cramer affect on Bitcoin.... on: January 04, 2024, 04:03:02 PM
Jim Cramer is supposedly a legendary investor, he is a former hedge fund manager & is a TV anchor now on CNBC.  It’s become popular to laugh at his investment advice & trades because the price of things he recommends & is bullish about often dumps. It’s become funny & popular to counter-trade him. There is a troll account on Twitter called Inverse Cramer https://x.com/cramertracker which has over 280k followers. The real Cramer was annoyed by this profile & was tweeting about it a few months ago.
348  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of Gaming on the Real Economy on: January 04, 2024, 03:57:48 PM
I think gaming probably has a significant influence on the wider economy. The gaming industry has experienced tremendous growth with millions of people engaging in gaming activities worldwide. This has led to the emergence of a multibillion dollar industry that creates jobs, drives technological advancements & generates revenue through game sales, in game purchases & advertising. Gaming also has indirect effects on other sectors such as streaming platforms, esports & and merchandise sales. Gaming creates innovation & entrepreneurship as developers continuously create new games & technologies.
349  Economy / Economics / Re: China's real-estate sector is NOT doing well, it might bring whole economy down on: January 03, 2024, 02:32:59 PM
If China's real estate sector crashed the impact on the world economy would be significant. China is one of the largest economies & a major player in the global real estate market. A crash in its real estate sector would lead to a decline in property values, construction activity & investment. This would have ripple effects on other sectors such as banking, manufacturing & commodities. China is a major consumer of raw materials so a slowdown in its economy would negatively affect commodity prices & global trade. A big crash in China's real estate sector would have a substantial impact on the world economy so hopefully it doesn’t happen too bad.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is just happened on the Bitcoin Market? on: January 03, 2024, 02:13:32 PM
Bitcoin was around $45K to $45.5K for the whole day, but it started going down for the last two hours. Bitcoin just touched $40.7K, and now it's around $42K again. I was trying to figure out what had just happened. Bitcoin lost $3K in two hours and alts are now bleeding. There are several negative news just popped up and some of them are

* SEC will REJECT Bitcoin Spot ETFs Again Says Matrixport Report
* Miners Unload BTC to Exchanges
* Matrixport Predicts Bitcoin Price Dip To $36k Amid SEC’s Potential Rejection Of BTC Spot ETF

Which one could be reason of such movement?

Seems like FUD from some low quality, unreliable online news outlet. There is nothing to worry about, no reliable sources are reporting that there will be rejections. Just seems like regular market movements, let’s see what transpires over the next week.

354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do we Need Morality and Ethics in Politics in our Society? on: January 03, 2024, 09:55:38 AM
Morality & ethics are obviously important in politics because they provide a framework for decision making that ensures fairness, justice & the well being of society. Without them politicians may prioritise personal gain over the common good. Morality & ethics foster trust & credibility in the political system as citizens expect their leaders to act with integrity & uphold ethical principles. Morality & ethics guide politicians in addressing complex issues such as social inequality or environmental sustainability with compassion & responsibility. Overall they are essential for promoting a just & harmonious society.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 02, 2024, 12:12:20 PM
It’s impossible to check & 100% come to the conclusion that an altcoin is a scam but you can do some due diligence. First research the team behind the project. Look for their experience, credibility & track record. Investigate the project's whitepaper & roadmap to assess their goals & plans. Analyse the coins community & social media presence. Be cautious of excessive hype & unrealistic promises. Look for transparency & clear communication from the team. Check for independent audits & reviews as well as any red flags such as plagiarised content or a lack of legal compliance. Remember to exercise due diligence & consult multiple sources before making any investment decisions.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone saw mempool right now? Mempool spam on: January 02, 2024, 11:54:17 AM
It’s currently under 100 sat/vB for a medium priority transaction fee. This period of high fees, largely created by Ordinals shitcoiners will pass. We had a similar scenario during the block size wars with bad actors, big blockers spamming the network. These guys will run out of patience & get bored.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin have behaved like a fine wine 🍷 on: January 02, 2024, 11:08:16 AM
Bitcoin is really a fine wine,🍷 because it gets better with age, since it creation, it has progress significantly into an asset that is worth having,  from the days when it's value was not even up to $100 to now that it's over $42000 plus, I just believe that after this next halving it will gets even better, and now is the best time to DCA into Bitcoin, because the reward will be worthy of the wait.

Right now, it's just a 14 years old teenager still trying to find it feet in terms of adoption all over the world.
But am really confidence that it will get even better from it value, popularity and adoption because it's a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age.

I like the comparison & I definitely agree that Bitcoin is like a fine wine. It becomes more esteemed & more valuable as time passes. I guess the question to many holders is how long can you hold it without opening/selling to enjoy it’s flavour. No, being serious, Bitcoin continues to increase in value & gain increasing widespread adoption. It won’t be long before it is unaffordable for even the middle class to own even one Bitcoin.
358  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Human trafficking on: January 02, 2024, 10:57:44 AM
Human trafficking is a massive issue because it violates human rights, exploits vulnerable individuals & fuels various criminal activities. It thrives due to factors like poverty, lack of education & weak law enforcement. To combat it a multi-faceted approach is needed. This includes raising awareness to prevent trafficking, strengthening legislation & law enforcement, providing support & protection to victims & addressing the root causes such as poverty & inequality. Collaboration between governments, international organisations & civil society is crucial for implementing comprehensive strategies to combat human trafficking & ensure justice for the victims.
