801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alternative to Ripple Trade? on: September 12, 2015, 10:39:16 PM
I’ve been looking for a good alternative to Ripple Trade (now that they require ID verification to use it) in which I could store/spend XRP. Is there an alternative wallet or something similar for Ripple? I don’t want to reveal my identity to the service mentioned above, since I want to be able to send and withdraw XRP anonymously just like the rest of the other cryptos. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks in advance.  Smiley
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Estimated CPU hashrate to mine coins? on: September 09, 2015, 02:11:49 PM
I'm interested in buying an AMD FX (eight core) cpu for my rig. Before I do such thing, I need to know what would be the expected hashrate that I would get when mining CPU coins with it? Is there a way to know this before buying the CPU? (sorry for my ignorance, I'm pretty new to this) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You  Wink  Wink
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / What happened to Qoin Pro? on: September 05, 2015, 07:25:07 PM
I've been using QoinPro as my cloud wallet of choice to store my Litecoins from faucet earnings. However, it's been several days since the site is down and I might have the feeling that my Litecoins are lost  Sad

Does anyone know how could I recover those Litecoins? (if possible) Any idea of what happened with the site?  Huh
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's going to happen to XPY? on: September 01, 2015, 01:06:59 AM
Ever since GAW started breaking their promises about Paycoin, it's price been going downtrend with a low of $0.01 last time (farther than the promised $20 mark) When Paycoins were worth $20 they were a really good investment. Nowadays, it's just a waste of money. I've lost much investing in this coin, even still I haven't lost my faith waiting til it comes back to $20 (if it ever happens)  Sad

It's been quite some time since Paycoin has been acquired by a new development team called Team XPY, however they're very slow when it comes to improvements, developments, etc. Do you think that XPY might shine someday in the future, or do you think that it will be dead for good? I would like to know your opinion about this  Grin
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Integrated ASIC on smartphones or tablets on: August 11, 2015, 07:24:38 PM
Do you imagine to mine Bitcoins (or any other alt coin) using your own smartphone or tablet? This would probably be ASIC chips integrated on smartphones and tablets. I imagine myself mining with a smartphone at 200 GH/s (the hashrate is just an example) Could this be possible in the future? I'm curious to know....What are your thoughts?  Roll Eyes
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why Ripple is #2 in market cap? on: August 11, 2015, 07:03:50 PM
How come Ripple's market cap is ranked as number 2? (according to Coinmarketcap) I have been told that Ripple is centralized, so why the hell it is #2? It surpassed Litecoin (considering that Litecoin is the oldest alt coin) Any thoughts on this?  Huh
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETH Speculation on: August 07, 2015, 03:21:22 PM
What do you think ETH (Ether) price would be when it becomes available at exchanges? I think that once Ethereum makes a stable release, Ethers might be worth $10 or $20 (maybe?)  Roll Eyes

I would like to know what are your thoughts about this. Thank You  Cheesy
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Dice game strategy? on: August 06, 2015, 02:29:07 PM
I've became interested in playing dice games with my BTC but every time I play I lose. Is there something that I'm doing wrong, or dice games are supposed to be like that? (sorry I'm new to this) Isn't there a guide or tutorial where I could get started playing these games? I don't know how this really works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks  Wink

So far, I like dicecoin.io  Cheesy
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin improvements in the future on: August 05, 2015, 07:21:48 PM
If Dogecoin were to be taken seriously instead of a "meme" coin, what features would you suggest for Dogecoin to become a worthy crypto in the future?

Here's some of my suggestions:

1. Limit supply of DOGE to 25 million coins

2. Make it a hybrid coin with PoW and PoS.

Any comments? Please share them here with the community. Thanks  Wink
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Highest POS Coin? on: July 31, 2015, 12:47:16 PM
I'm currently new when I comes to staking coins. I've been try to know how to do the process, and so far I have little knowledge of how to stake a coin. Basically, I'm just looking for the highest rewarding POS coin available. (highest rate of POS) If there's any coin that meets this criteria, please let me know.  Smiley

Also, could give me a tutorial or guide on how to start staking coins? I'll appreciate all your help. Thank You
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you own physical crypto coins? on: July 30, 2015, 01:42:15 PM
Do you like to collect physical cryptos?  So do I! I've been collecting some for a while now. My first physical coin was a gold plated Bitcoin (for only $6). Then, I've bought a physical Dogecoin (crypto chip) from Crypto Chips. However, I'm planning to buy more physical coins, especially real gold and silver ones.

If you'd like to share the physical coins you are holding, feel free to post here!  Cheesy

P.S. I will post pics of my physical coins later when I get home.  Grin
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How do I start mining on a Raspberry Pi 2? on: July 28, 2015, 01:49:41 PM
I've recently ordered a Raspberry Pi 2 from ebay (cost me $42) with the interest of mining alt coins with it. I already own a miner, which is a Gridseed GC3355 but I don't know how to set it up with my newly purchased RPi.

My questions are the following:

How do I install the drivers for the miner in the RPi?

How to properly configure cgminer on a RPi?

Please help. I'm still a noob when it comes to configuring miners. Thank You.  Smiley
813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Decentralized BTC exchanges? on: July 28, 2015, 01:43:46 PM
Isn't there any decentralized BTC exchange around? One that doesn't require ID verification among other things (like Cryptsy) in which I could trade BTC anonymously?  Huh

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks  Wink
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is Nvidia Shield Tablet good for mining? on: July 27, 2015, 02:15:23 PM
I've looked into the Play Store and found a mining app. So far it's been working for me on my Samsung Galaxy Lite but I don't know if this mining app will be efficient in my Shield Tablet. I think I would be able to mine more coins with it now that its a pretty cool tablet with excellent specs good for gaming.

Mining app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miner.pro&hl=en

Specs: http://www.engadget.com/products/nvidia/shield-tablet/specs/

Would you give me any recommendations for mining on this tablet? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.  Wink

815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Anyone used a Bitcoin NFC wallet card? on: July 23, 2015, 05:11:26 PM
I've been interested in purchasing a Bitcoin NFC wallet card, but I'm not sure how it works. Never used NFC features on my phone so I'm not very familiar with it. Anyone used this type of card for storing/withdrawing BTC before? If this works, it could be my wallet on the go! Thanks in advance.  Wink

816  Other / Off-topic / What type of programming language is easier to learn? on: July 23, 2015, 02:04:24 PM
I've always wanted to learn how to code to become an experienced programmer/developer. Heard about different types of programming languages such as Java, Javascript, Visual Basic, etc. Some of them are similar to others, like for example, Java is similar to C++ and so on.

I'm looking for the most easiest programming language to learn how to code. I could then practice and develop my skills while I prepare to learn other extensive languages. If anybody could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.  Wink
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best CPU to mine XMG or any other CPU minable coin? on: July 22, 2015, 01:59:32 AM
I've got interested in CPU mining when I looked into a few alt coins that seemed to be easily minable by the CPU. Since then, I decided to mine XMG (Coin Magi) with my CPU to give it a try. Everything works fine as it should with the CPU mining at an average of 15 kh/s with 3 threads running.

As of now, I own a laptop that has an Intel Core i5-3210M (quad core) with 2.50GHz clock speed. However, most of the time my laptop gets very hot when running the miner at 3 threads. My question is: What type of CPU would be the most adequate to mine such coins? I just want to know of a CPU that's powerful to mine but affordable to buy because I'm planning to build a Desktop PC soon  Roll Eyes  Thanks.

819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How a perfect crypto-currency would be on: July 20, 2015, 01:05:20 PM
Since the creation of Bitcoin, the way we deal with money has been revolutionized making a decentralized system without the need to interfere with banks or middlemen. However until today, Bitcoin nor other alt coins have proven to be a perfect crypto-currency.

If we'd think of a perfect crypto-currency we would have one that had all of the best features in one single coin. Below, is a suggested list of features that a perfect crypto-currency would have:

1. Decentralized (of course)

2. Cryptonote algorithm (ASIC resistant, cpu minable)

3. Proof of Work and Proof of Stake (you could either mine them or stake them)

4. Stable price (just like NuBits (NBT) )

5. Integrated escrow (no need for escrow services, the same is provided by the network within the coin's wallet)

6. Mine right from the wallet software.

7. Supply of 5 to 10 million coins (just a suggestion)

8. Compressed Blockchain Data (no need to wait hours for wallet to sync. The Blockchain data would be compressed, thus synchronization time would take around 10 to 15 minutes)

9. No premine

10. Instant network confirmations (at the moment of making a transaction, there's no need to wait 15 or 30 minutes for the same to be confirmed)

If there's any other feature that I forgot to list here, please feel free post it here. Also, correct me if I stated something wrong. I would like to know what would you think about such currency.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Monero Predictions on: July 17, 2015, 03:19:00 PM
I've made a research of this coin and found out that the same has great potential. The technology it has is innovating. I'm very certain that I will buy some Monero and hold them, until eventually it's price rises 10,000x

As of the time of this writing, Monero is worth around $0.52. However, I predict that the price will rise probably in the next months or year. My prediction is that the price will reach at least $2 in the upcoming months. Maybe Monero will be worth around $10 to $20 someday  Roll Eyes

If you have any predictions, please share it with the community. Thank You.
