It's just cool and good to see how Japan regulates and implement cryptocurrency in their country as part of their life. They are one of the most advance country in the world and that they are smart enough to do this kind of things to prevent bad things to happen and at the same time profit from it.

There's no way Bitcoin would be the demise of Paypal or other gateway for money. Sure they might fall someday, but that's not the the fault of Bitcoin. Those two are different in their own way. Bitcoin is decentralized, while Paypal is. They are both use in transacting but in different way.

We are still called "early" as long as the government and banks hasn't accept Bitcoin yet. Imagine the price of Bitcoin once it got accepted by the whole world and everyone knows it? It would rise like a sky rocket. So I think we are still called "Early Adopters".

I think they compare it just to create drama, but they both have their own advantages and disadvantages. People are hypocrite, even if they say that they don't want something to use or do anything with it, they will still do it despite saying that banks sucks and they don't use it anymore, they still do in anyway.

Thank you for this information. With that amount of Bitcoin transferred, I could only conclude 2 things that they will do to it.
1. Someone is going to buy some an altcoin which will boost its market (Probably Ethereum)
2. Sell it.
Let's just hope that they use it to buy some altcoins rather than dump the market even further.

The only existing responsible in this cryptocurrency space is ourselves. We all know that this is an anonymous place where every project could be hiding as a fraud. It is our responsible to invest what we could afford and it is not the project's fault whether they would succeed, fail, or scam us.

I think the only thing that makes Bitcoin special is that it is the first cryptocurrency that is created in the world and that false hope has been going around it lately. Your article is great but let's not glorify Bitcoin too much. Altcoin has surpass Bitcoin already in terms of speed, technology, and innovation. Bitcoin will be replace in the future, just wait for it.

You have a point. Whales are everywhere, no project are safe from whales as this type of investors is attracted to innovation and money. But remember, because of them, we are able to grow in a certain way and that they helped a market grow even if they affect the market in a bad way. So I don't think they are a myth or bad, they are actually helping.

The only reason why Bitcoin increases in price is because of Decentralization. Illegal activities and transactions can be done without the eyes of the Government in them. At least it's semi-anonymous which makes it popular in the year 2011-2013 as a way of transactions. But it became popular as an investment in the later years until now. Even though some Government is against it, it is now too popular and powerful to be taken down which conclude that Bitcoin would still grow in the future.

It's hard to say mate. But Cryptocurrency being implemented as a way of transaction in our daily life for small things is higher than failing because there are countries who are regulating it to use maximize its potential. I would say as long as there are innovation, there will be more projects that will keep coming.

They want to be the first to leave fiat but in reality, Bitcoin is still very reliant on Fiat and USD. With fiat, Bitcoin would have no value as people won't be able to buy things using Bitcoin at will because of the way Bitcoin is built. Maybe in the future. Who knows.
