1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why will BTC halving stimulate price growth? on: September 23, 2019, 02:22:33 AM
I've read that the only reason why Bitcoin price starts pumping before the halving because people assume that the Bitcoin will pump in price. They will buy before the pump which results into Bitcoin actually pumping at the year of halving. Same goes for every copy-cats of Bitcoin. As long as a lot of people believing in something like this, it will surely happen.
1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a MrBitcoin like MrBeast to increase Bitcoin adoption. on: September 22, 2019, 02:04:56 AM
This won't work I think. The only reason why Mr. Beast can spend a lot of money is because he is being funded by thousands or even millions of people and being sponsored by companies.  If we make MrBitcoin, he would need a lot of money in order to do absurd things. In this crypto space, every cryptocurrency is important and I don't think people will be able to fund him. Dollar is nothing and can be printed in many times but Bitcoin has a fixed supply so Bitcoin would be much more expensive.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is not a ponzi scheme, Remember???????? on: September 21, 2019, 10:14:09 AM
This is true even in today's society. People are becoming more and more "impatient". What I mean by that is that people decides too fast instead of doing the proper procedure and they expect too much from it which mostly the reason why they loss so much.

Maybe if the price drops so much, there must be something fishy to it. To be fair, they have the right to call a project a scam if they truly provides evidences to it.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption! Finally? on: September 21, 2019, 03:13:54 AM
I knew Japan knows the capabilities of Blockchain and they are the first to be taking advantage of it. With more adoption happening in the parts of asia, more people might be able to adopt Bitcoin as asia is the largest continent in the world. Even those people with financial problem might get a chance to be free. We might get to see someday that those countries who banned cryptocurrency will use it.

1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: September 20, 2019, 01:49:09 PM
Back in the day, Vitalik once said that crypto will be going to zero. There has been many concerns about the longevity of cryptocurrency as a serious form of money, given that it's relatively unstable within the mainstream world. It's been 10 years since Bitcoin was created where crypto has had its ups and downs. However, many are afraid that crypto will be going to zero as the blockchain hype ends and governments start rolling their own digital currencies. When we take a look at most cryptocurrencies on the market, most of them aren't even useful at all. Perhaps, the only one is Bitcoin but it's terrible as a currency for daily transactions.

Which is why, I'm starting to wonder if crypto will really go to zero in the future? If this happens, then most of us will lose our hard-earned money as crypto becomes worthless. What are your thoughts? Huh

First of all, there are different type of cryptocurrency and functions different. Depending on the cryptocurrency, it will die or prosper. With that said, it would be hard to assume that cryptocurrency as a whole will die. As long as their are demands for it, it will never die.

Also, take note that a lot of countries are now using cryptocurrency for their gain so it would mean that instead of dying, it will flourish in the future. This is just but my opinion.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now Available in 6,000 Outlets all over Philippines on: September 20, 2019, 04:02:16 AM
That is actually a good news. I've been using 7-11 to cash in money instead of cash because it is much easier than banks and only 2 companies I know today do that which is Abra and coins.ph. I don't really know much about Abra if it's international but coins.ph is local wallet that is like abra. This will spice up the cryptocurrency competition in the Philippines for sure.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can exchanges steal my ether on: September 19, 2019, 01:19:27 PM
I couldn't find any bad reputation about Etherflyer after a few mins of google search so I doubt that Etherflyer would just steal your ethers. It's probably your friend whom you suspected or probably a third party that infected your computer. Because the only way an exchange would steal your crypto is when they are about to exit the game. It that case, your friend stole your ether.

You should never entrust your wallet to anyone, even your family members.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Better than US Dollar? on: September 19, 2019, 03:17:00 AM
I agree. Printing money will be a great financial crisis starter. Bitcoin would be able to solve this because Bitcoin isn't controlled by anyone and it is fixed in number which means it can't be printed like the US dollar. Bitcoin defeated US dollar the moment it is created because US dollar is nothing but lies and deception in it. it is not backed by anything and it has no real value. In conclusion, Bitcoin is better in anyway.

Experts say that US dollar will fall soon and investors are seeking a haven but it seems that the US citizen doesn't care much at all as long as they are being fed lies on how great US dollar is.

1209  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [PDAX] is now live for trading for Philippine users. on: September 18, 2019, 09:52:09 AM
kung lisensyado nga to ng bsp magandang balita talaga to. ibig sabihin ba ay pwede na mag cash out direkta sa banko na hindi makwekwestion.

as of now nasa beta stage palang ata sila. need pa mag join sa waitlist

1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. If nations/states/governments are accumulating Bitcoin, then on: September 18, 2019, 01:18:19 AM
Maybe, the governments are accumulating Bitcoins in order to study it. In order to prevent bad things that might happen. We all know Bitcoin is semi-anonymous. The government will use Bitcoin in order to detect those criminals that use Bitcoin. I mean, not just in North Korea but in the other country as well.

But I believe that some politicians are accumulating Bitcoin for the reason of profit.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are we really investing in bitcoin? on: September 17, 2019, 07:06:36 AM
Because I have freedom in every transaction that I do with Bitcoin. To be honest, I use Bitcoin because it is very convenient for me in some ways. I could do a lot of things like transferring money without the use of Banking, buying things using Bitcoin and a lot more.

Also with Bitcoin, I have the power to control my money without anyone being able to take it away from me.
1212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt is coming: will this be biggest crypto week ever and set off bull run? on: September 17, 2019, 03:11:40 AM
I think Bakkt is the only thing that would move the price upward this year. I mean, it would give way to other investors and common people to have Bitcoin so more users are able to join in.

Although Bakkt is good news to us, I don't think that Bakkt would suddenly make Bitcoins price pump. That author is I think exaggerating it to produce more hype for the project.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a fan of Celebrity tokens? on: September 16, 2019, 12:00:15 PM
I'm really not a fan of Celebrity Token because most of the time, they only do it because of hype and money. Since they are pretty famous, their name would really impact the movement of their coin.

I think it will last long because although they don't have much idea about cryptocurrency, I know that they hired a team of experts to do the job for them and the name is just for the show.
1214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning from crypto currency on: September 16, 2019, 01:27:59 AM
Yes, people hire freelancers in this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 and pay them with cryptocurrency. Since your focus is helping in cryptocurrency projects, you should try that. But take note, you should first have to build your reputation here before you could get hired.

Since you're a newbie, you shouldn't focus on earning but instead the rules and regulations around the forums first.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why only few projects became successful on: September 15, 2019, 02:39:16 AM
Do you know why only few projects are dynamic and effective? They have genuine/pro teams and their Teams & Developers are experts with past experiences from other crypto businesses and companies in their pasts, when pro teams come together to build new ideas they will easily reach their milestone and become successful. If you can do research on projects that arent scam but failed its because they lack the professionalism idea.

Many projects that are coming into crypto worlds are been built by teams that have no experience about crypto at all, this is why many projects that appeared to have good ideas failed in the end.

Projects with pro teams always have a solution to every problem they come across when development is ongoing, either in Bear Market or Not they always know what to do that won't affect their coin or token

Not only that. Most the time, those newbie team tends to seek more profit than the development of their project, no wonder they are going to fail in the long run. Also, most of the projects that are "failing" are scams anyway. That's why only few genuine projects are getting recognize in the cryptocurrency space.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Mystery Person Just moved $1B worth of Bitcoin on: September 15, 2019, 12:41:14 AM
Why is this a mystery?

That is the reason why they chose to use Bitcoin rather than use the typical fiat transaction.

This is not a mystery since they are wanting to use cryptocurrency for the decentralization, so they can keep their anonymity. A lot of news about this flies in the past days so I think I would not be surprised that another person did it.

Maybe they are alarmed because of how much money is involve in it? I mean, a normal person would not transfer that amount in one go so I think people are curious on to who might that person or company who did this. To be honest, I don't really care much about this controversy but I'm surprised by the amount of money.

But I think It's probably a whale taking a some position in the market.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. Bitcoin ETF bad? on: September 14, 2019, 02:40:23 AM
The freedom to do what one wants with one's bitcoins necessarily includes the freedom to give custody of them to a third party. Some (such as those who are unwilling or unable to safely manage their own private keys) will find such an arrangement beneficial. And some will not benefit from such an arrangement, and choose not to use it. That's what freedom means.

Well said. In my country, most of the locals here use a third wallet app in order to do business (Which is coins.ph). It isn't necessary mean we lost are freedom because we chose to do it on your own free will. ETF is not a bad thing, in fact it is beneficial to the world to reduce the adoption process of the people. It's just that it is taking too long to be accepted until now.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: September 13, 2019, 12:05:43 PM
I slightly agree. We really can't avoid this type of thing because as long as money is involve, people will find a way to take advantage of it without thinking of the consequences. Greed will take over those people and those who got victimized will surely leave a bad opinion about cryptocurrency.

But I don't think the crypto space will be killed just because of this. They are worthless and doesn't mean anything in the entirety of crypto space. Bitcoin alone is enough. Bitcoins movement decides the fate of cryptocurrency in my opinion. If only those investors are smart, they would have invested in Bitcoin instead.
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Replace Gold! Here's Why... on: September 13, 2019, 01:57:56 AM
I completely disagree with you. Gold is not just a store of value, it has a lot of uses in the world. I think you don't even know what gold is. You should research more on that first before you make a statement like this.

We are in a digital world, even if gold is a physical thing, gold can adapt too. Although it is quite difficult to believe, there are companies that have made a stablecoin back by gold so investment in gold can be easier to achieve.
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important is the name of a cryptocurrency project? on: September 12, 2019, 11:19:42 AM
An appropriate name is required to a project in my opinion. Nowadays, people take cryptocurrency seriously because of how many dollars are involve in. If you name your coin inappropriately, for example "thanos coin" or "Le trollz coin", do you think people will take that seriously? I would not.

Yes, we do have a meme coin like "doge coin" that succeed but the only reason it succeeded was because it's one of the first coin created as a joke so people had fun on it until it became too big. Well doge coin has a purpose because it has one of the smallest fee and fastest transaction in the past so it's not really irrelevant.

But a name is a name, the real thing that would still drive people is its purpose.
