1121  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 06, 2019, 02:52:04 AM
Like Doge or Litecoin?
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Criminals got balls because no COP or law to tackle them on: November 06, 2019, 01:38:44 AM
I think the main issue here is not the law, but the way crypto hides the scammers identity. We have vpns, mixers, Tor, and other sources that I don't know yet to hide our addresses and identities. The police would have a hard time trying to catch them. They can also hide their scammed assets to other wallets or other coins in order to lose track of the transactions. Scammers are getting confident because of the advancement of our technology and with that, cyber crimes are increasing.
1123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Did China Dominate Bitcoin? on: November 06, 2019, 01:33:06 AM
It's not like English can't be translated. Also because they have the resources to do so. China has one of the cheapest electricity in the world and not only that, they have the man power to mine Bitcoin. With that, they are able to monopolize early Bitcoins because of their situation. China is all about industry, they saw Bitcoin as a potential and grab it at its early stage. Even today, they still hold a large portion of Bitcoin compared to other country.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency? on: November 05, 2019, 05:40:20 AM
The thing here is that, it's not worth investing in ICO anymore because either most of them is a scam or fail. Investors are smart and now for sure tries to avoid anything that still doesn't have a product to show. It's rare to see this kind of project. I'd say investors are trying to invest in projects that has been around quite long or investing directly in Bitcoin since people are expecting it to rise in 2020.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you trust bitcoin related services? on: November 05, 2019, 05:32:10 AM
I don't entirely trust them (Bitcoin exchanges or any Bitcoin related services) it's just that they are convenient to use and also a licensed company. Let's take the third party wallet coins.ph for example. Coins.ph is a wallet that holds your Bitcoin for you, so why would you let them hold your Bitcoin? Because of their services. Coins.ph has a lot of services like paying bills, buying game credits, and a loading station. You could make a business out of this services as Coins.ph gives you rebate for every purchase.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BAT the DOGE killer? on: November 04, 2019, 03:10:36 AM
doge and BAT will coexist. because these two coins have different markets. although it seems that these two coins have the same function, but I'm sure that can happen. the reason is easy, you can see from fees transaction. BAT is one of the ERC20 and it is very influential on GAS. ethereum networks are sometimes very annoying at certain times because they can increase the cost of GAS. doge is different, the transfer fee is cheap and fast, this is an irreplaceable advantage.

I agree. The only reason why I use doge is because it is super and super cheap when it comes to transactions, especially when you want to transfer exchange to exchange or tipping other users. In my opinion, doge is enough since it is reputable with high market trading volume easy to use features. Not to mention that it is a potential investment since it follows Bitcoin bulls.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another day, another Faketoshi on: November 04, 2019, 02:51:17 AM
I did a quick google on him and a lot of articles and tweets are pointing him to be a scammer and a liar (one example, https://beincrypto.com/a-new-fake-satoshi-appears-claims-to-be-the-co-founder-of-bitcoin/). I know that this guy is not a co-founder of Bitcoin and is just lying trying to establish a reputation but I wonder what he scammed and how much? I can't seem to find a source. Unless he proves himself to be innocent and a true co-founder.
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when a project fails you as abounty hunter or investor on: November 03, 2019, 03:10:09 AM
In every bounty, there's a possibility that a project would fail or be a scam even if you've done your research, even if you've done everything that you could, replace your mistakes and such, the probability of a failing project is still there. The only thing that a bounty could do is the move on with another project and hope that it will be the success that he needs.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Debt, Buy Bitcoin on: November 03, 2019, 02:38:29 AM
The US government either can print more money to pay off their debt or default which in either case produce more problems in the long run. I agree that with cryptocurrency, most citizens would be able to avoid poverty. But I think what people really need is a stable coin for those who doesn't want to invest in a high volatility coin like Bitcoin. Like for example, euro, yen, or even gold.
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DEX's ever get the liquidity and volume of Centralized Exchanges today? on: November 02, 2019, 03:02:13 AM
I've been seeing people talking about DEX now, maybe there's a possibily with that. But let's take into account why people still use centralized exchange. People want convenient and easy access, centralized exchanges provides that. I think with DEX, you need to download a software in order to use it or input your own private key for access just like those eth DEX.

1131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you invest 60 BTC? on: November 02, 2019, 02:42:23 AM
I'll cash them out if possible. Depends on how old I am. If I'm still too young to retire (Like 30-40) I'd still invest them in a property or a real estate for sure money. Maybe take half of that in a bank for retirement and invest the quarter in stocks and of course Bitcoin. Then enjoy the quarter for the rest of my life. I don't really plan to work all my life and get so much money, I just want enough for my family and myself.
1132  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pilipinas Bitcointalk Org Shirt on: November 01, 2019, 12:45:05 PM
Imagine suot mo yan tapos may nang holdap sayo sabi:

"Holdap to, ano bitcoin wallet mo!?" "

"5KR74tjU2HxvXATYFWN4gKRK2dp1R4EJjGFdKtyRo79mFk37cbA po, wag nyo ko sasaktan"

 ;'D

1133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: See a bitcoin/crypto scam site? Don't just ignore it. Report it. on: November 01, 2019, 09:36:43 AM
Spreading awareness about something like this is one of the most commendable things people could do. I really salute to those guys who takes a lot of time and effort to report this scams. Without them, a lot of people might have been a victim by now.

On that note, take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0, you might want to report something or someone.
1134  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: 2ND Anniversary of staying here in forum (MERIT GIVEAWAY) on: November 01, 2019, 01:39:36 AM
Congrats sayo kabayan. Keep up the good work. By the way, sobrang angas ng ginawa mong entry.
1135  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Non-custodial wallet na gawang Pinoy on: October 30, 2019, 02:35:58 AM

1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2019 over 40m cryptocurrency wallets have been created on: October 29, 2019, 06:54:30 AM
This is not news though. Everyone can create multiple wallets and they they can just leave it forever. Take a look at exchange and third paty wallets, you can see that they have have multiple wallets that isn't even needed. 40m wallets doesn't mean 40m are using Bitcoin right now so I don't find this statistic exciting.

I have created 10 wallets but I don't use them all now.
1137  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mining o Trading? on: October 29, 2019, 06:44:25 AM
I totally agree.
BITCOIN! on: October 28, 2019, 01:23:47 AM

1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to get back into mining? on: October 28, 2019, 01:09:53 AM
Why would you want to mine even it it's not profitable? I don't get it because you could just buy the Bitcoin directly if you are hoping for Bitcoin to rise at $30,000 level. Unless you have a good rig and a cheap electricity, it is pretty stupid to mine Bitcoin at a loss. Just buy them directly, you will also help the market that way. It will also save you time and effort.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real Reason Why Bitcoin Price Shot Up Today on: October 27, 2019, 04:56:50 AM
it has nothing to do with anything and doesn't really require any kind of reason whatsoever.
it is a simple recovery that because bitcoin was undervalue it happened in a fast and big manner within a very short time. have you forgotten how the price shoot up happened this year when price first broke $4k levels? that is being repeated today once again!

I can't imagine that in this event because if Bitcoin were really undervalued just like you said, it would slowly increase as time goes by but what happened here is a sudden increase in price in just 10-15 hours I think which means there must be a reason why investors is suddenly buying Bitcoin in a short amount of time.

Some says it's because of China announcement but some says it's Bakkt.
