1  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Cryptopia Judge: "1. Crypto is property 2. Even w/o keys, crypto remains yours" on: June 16, 2021, 04:14:18 PM
Am I the only one still following up on this case?

The latest liquidators' report is online: read it here

TLDR? Don't worry, I read it for you, so in a nutshell:

- around 70% of almost 1 mio users have in some way interacted with the liquidator's platform
- KYC is up and running and if you had any coins on Cryptopia, this is the moment to act or lose them forever - that is, if you're prepared to KYC
- to compensate costs, 80 BTC was sold for fiat towards the end of February

What's with the Concordium/GTU shit? Can't turn your back for half a month on this thing or you're out of touch in the blink of an eye.........

Btw I have used my weeks of non-forum time to do some FA, TA and math (call me old-fashioned) am happy to announce that according to my calculations, the next stop for BTC will be: one trillion billion dollars. Cool

PS: I'm on the way of being rich again.

What the hell am I missing?

I was (and am) planning to buy a significant amount at an amount that is within reach, but I'd never have thought that we'd actually get there again...

Well then.

Buy the dip guys.

Dump, Dump, dump your Bitcoins
Gently down the stream
Merrily merrily, merrily, merrily
You're an imbecile to sell, so it seems

Dude, will you never learn:

making jokes in the crypto community is not funny...
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 08:41:55 AM
100k in one hour ....... oh fuck Cheesy

If we wait maybe one day we will be able to see that Bitcoin has crossed $100k but you may jokingly say that in 1 hour bitcoin is possible, Of course, that is also possible presumption Bitcoin is at $96k and you say the next one will pass $100k in 1 hour then you will be right.

If Hungary's got some place left, give this dude ^ a statue too.

Isn't this where we were before Musk started tweeting a few months ago? If so, this position is exactly where we should be to have a healthy normally evolving not-too-volatile-to-scare-regular-adaptors-away price.

Too much volatility like (most of) the last 2 months will never get BTC out of the speculation zone and into the adoption zone.

Good to see buyers getting some bargain coins in the sale.

All thanks must go to Felon Musk.

Was that the end of the correction at $43k? or are there yet more coins to be shaken out down to $39k

No doubt a few pictures of some nice double bottoms will follow to confirm.

Eager to see how the derivative buyers will react when markets open in a few hours.

These times will pass. We gone through worse. Remember China "banning" Bitcoin every damn weekend in 2017?

Scary times.

But we've been there before:

(...)

Just HODL on and weather the storm  Cool

Hear hear.

Facebook and Google blocking crypto ads. Paypal and banks blocking accounts using crypto. Korea and China 'banning' crypto. Volatility warnings, hacks, bankruptcies, pyramid schemes, "it's money for criminals", blahblah.

I'd say we'll have a laugh about this in a few months, but in truth, we probably won't, because by then, we'll probably have forgotten completely about this "just another FUD".

$75,800.

There's inflation on the one hand, and on the other hand there's people who'll get immune for Elon tweets, Doge hypes and climate blahblah at lightning speed.

By the way, this initiative is great mate...........

@Pathtomanliness
People are cheering that bitcoin dropped

Yeah, it’s been a rough year. Don’t know how we will get thru it

And who cares about Musk.

In case of pump: enjoy. In case of dump: turn screen upside down and enjoy.

The only way is up, with a few nice roller coasters tracks along the way... Excellent opportunities to fill your bags.

For people who don't understand this: go buy some Internet Computer thingies. Cool
15  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Maandelijkse updates voor btc on: May 10, 2021, 07:18:41 PM

Grin

I'm thinking about a Roland or Yamaha e-Kit lately, time to teach the kids playing the drums BUT i hate the sound of those rubber muting pads, while i prefer real drumshells/heads, though...
Or do i just have luxury problems?
When it comes to instruments, i'd say: for sure!

Books and instruments: the only goods I can't resist buying without remorse...

I've got the "old" Roland TD9 set with upgrade. A billion sound kits of which I use (and like) only one, but that's all you need, rite.

I remain impressed by the realistic feel of these pads (I've played on far less comfortable acoustic sets), but I'll never get used to the sound of hitting them. It's difficult to ignore, especially if you keep the volume low in your speakers or headphones, as I do.

No thing like the real thing, but if like me, you have direct neighbours, there's no alternative and therefore I believe it's a perfectly acceptable compromise.

A used TD-9 will cost you hardly BTC0.0125 at actual USD price, so if the kids change their mind, you'll not have to go begging in the streets to fill that hole in your holiday budget. Cool

Yahoo dominated by a lot and the rest had very low $ value.
Then, as the internet hype began, they started to re-price even the lowly one's, which was a complete surprise to me. They began trading at multiple billions.
Of course, later google came in and conquered it all.

Great analysis, man. +2 Merit and +2 WO Merit.

The fact that Yahoo dominated by a lot, and later google conquered it all doesn't reassure me, though. What does it imply in terms of crypto? "Yahoo equals Bitcoin" dominates by a lot and in a few years "Google equals Dogecoin" conquers it all?

What's your idea gents?
