Dat Elon er nu pas over tweet is op zich al wat shady. Tesla kocht, net zoals Micro Strategy, eind vorig jaar al voor de grote bedragen BTC. Elon wordt in de MM aangewreven dat hij aan zware manipulatie schuldig is. Daar valt natuurlijk wel iets voor te zeggen...maar langs de andere kant ook weer niet. Zo'n figuur als Elon Musk manipuleert dan alles waar hij over tweet. Dat was de reden waarom b.v. Charlie Lee al zijn LTC verkocht heeft. Interesting times en 50K is incoming!
Ja we zullen zien. De enige reden waarom hij hiermee wegkomt is omdat crypto nog altijd onvoldoende serieus wordt genomen, want mij moet je inderdaad niet komen wijsmaken dat het geen manipulatie is. Allemaal leuk natuurlijk wanneer je zelf DOGE of BTC bezit, maar als je er even afstand van neemt, moet je inderdaad toegeven dat het vuil is. Toch één ding valt op - en daarom had ik het over de fanboys hierboven: de aandelen hebben nauwelijks bewogen (ik heb het nu niet meer nagekeken maar ik geloof dat ze zelfs wat gezakt waren), dus de fiat-markt is tot nader order duidelijk absoluut niet onder de indruk. Op dit forum moeten we toch opletten dat we niet te veel aan navelstaren doen, toch wel een klassieke sport hier.  edit: Ik zit er overigens intussen ook al vier jaar in, dus denk niet dat ik een kritische nocoiner ben, ik tracht gewoon mijn blik nuchter te houden, zoveel als mogelijk... It sucks that all the money seems to still flow into alts. Look at Binance coin. Yesterday I thought it will crash after that pump. Today it gained another 50%. I feel like everybody is getting rich while I wait for bitcoin to make 5% lol.
I know shitcoins and all but damn ı wish I would have bought some when they were cheap. So had lots of money now to buy more bitcoin.
There's a good argument for diversification. It's just that this is not the topic of this thread. As said before, you have to make a distinction between supporting BTC as future money and supporting BTC as pure investment. If you see it as pure investment, never lay your eggs in one basket. The principle is exactly the same as for stocks, funds or whatever. If you see it as future money: hodl. |

Sterker nog; als dat zou gebeuren dan zou dat wel eens heel slecht nieuws kunnen zijn... toch? Hmmmz geen idee. Ik heb de indruk dat we net aan een lichte correctie begonnen waren, toen Elon plots de prijs kwam pumpen. Nu weet ik niet goed wat ik ervan moet denken. Zien we eindelijk een wereldspeler die zich in de markt werpt en zelfs overweegt wagens tegen BTC te verkopen, en dan gaat de prijs "maar" 15% boven de ATH. Het toont in zekere zin ook aan dat veel van die hippe ondernemers toch vooral voor hun eigen fanboys spreken. Hoezeer het Amazon-beleid ook door sommigen verfoeid wordt, de impact van een implementatie zou daar een veel grotere impact hebben, want wie heeft nu nog nooit van Amazon gebruik gemaakt? Wat toch een ander verhaal is als het over luxewagens en marsraketten gaat... Ter info, BTC Direct verwacht sterke daling indien we onder de support van 46k gaat. |

Ik had het al eerder over Change Invest hé. Ben een supporter van dag één bij de ICO. Intussen volledig erkend in de EU, met zetel in Talinn en Amsterdam. Het goede nieuws is: op aankoop en verkoop van BTC zijn er geen fees. Top-app om effe vlug wat zakgeld te verdienen met een dipje van een paar minuten. En toch een zekere geruststelling dat je gewoon naar de rechtbank kunt stappen wanneer er iets misloopt. Nadeel is dat uiteraard een volledige ID nodig is. Ook andere coins beschikbaar, maar daar zijn wel fees verschuldigd. Ik zou mijn affiliate link kunnen delen, maar nu zie ik dat mijn voornaam daar volledig in vermeld staat. Daar zouden ze iets dieper over mogen nadenken.  Nou, als je wat aan mijn tip verdient, stuur me wat drinkgeld, mijn adres staat op mijn profiel vermeld Hoe werkt dat precies zonder fees? Premium koersen? Hoe zit het met de overige (verborgen) kosten? Aankoop ongeveer 100 euro boven de Bitstamp-prijs en verkoop ongeveer 100 euro eronder. Met een bescheiden inleg en een paar volatiele dagen spaar je snel een mooi rendement bijeen (maar ik ben dan ook tevreden met elke cent winst). Geen in- of uitstapkosten voor zover ik weet. The nice thing with having money is not to have to worry.
It's not being able to buy nice things and stuff, although that is nice too, but it is knowing that you don't have to worry if your car breaks down, or your pet gets sick, and knowing that you can buy that new wallet when you see it, instead of having to wait for the next paycheck, and not having to buy the cheapest generic food items because you are out of money for the month.

I've been hoping and dreaming of BTC becoming a real weapon against banks, governments and corporations, since the first day I've heard about crypto, even before I could afford to invest. However, lately I was losing hope since all these corps weren't using BTC as an alternative form of money but simply as a vehicle to make more dollars. Today is actually the very first time I'm starting to believe my hopes could come true. I'd honestly never have thought Elon Musk would be the catalyst, but so be it. Once the pump euphoria was gone this afternoon, I felt like I was walking around in a dream, still am. I haven't felt like this in a very long time, maybe ever. Damn. |

I'm afraid it won't be a BTC exclusive. Other crypto will be part of the investment options. We hold and may acquire digital assets that may be subject to volatile market prices, impairment and unique risks of loss.

Moreover, we expect to begin accepting bitcoin as a form of payment for our products in the near future, subject to applicable laws and initially on a limited basis, which we may or may not liquidate upon receipt.
The prices of digital assets have been in the past and may continue to be highly volatile, including as a result of various associated risks and uncertainties. For example, the prevalence of such assets is a relatively recent trend, and their long-term adoption by investors, consumers and businesses is unpredictable. Moreover, their lack of a physical form, their reliance on technology for their creation, existence and transactional validation and their decentralization may subject their integrity to the threat of malicious attacks and technological obsolescence. Finally, the extent to which securities laws or other regulations apply or may apply in the future to such assets is unclear and may change in the future. If we hold digital assets and their values decrease relative to our purchase prices, our financial condition may be harmed.
Moreover, digital assets are currently considered indefinite-lived intangible assets under applicable accounting rules, meaning that any decrease in their fair values below our carrying values for such assets at any time subsequent to their acquisition will require us to recognize impairment charges, whereas we may make no upward revisions for any market price increases until a sale, which may adversely affect our operating results in any period in which such impairment occurs. Moreover, there is no guarantee that future changes in GAAP will not require us to change the way we account for digital assets held by us.
Finally, as intangible assets without centralized issuers or governing bodies, digital assets have been, and may in the future be, subject to security breaches, cyberattacks or other malicious activities, as well as human errors or computer malfunctions that may result in the loss or destruction of private keys needed to access such assets. While we intend to take all reasonable measures to secure any digital assets, if such threats are realized or the measures or controls we create or implement to secure our digital assets fail, it could result in a partial or total misappropriation or loss of our digital assets, and our financial condition and operating results may be harmed.
