Not selling anything until $50k. I hedl for 2 extra years since the price was $20k so this extra hodling time should be properly remunerated.  Cool

Selling is not my concern right now. "When can we buy more?", is what I'm thinking atm Lips sealed
are you sure ?
#BTC
#Don't wait for 20K!
#Sell before 19k!
#wait under 16K!
lol

Why would I sell if I don't need the money and if I didn't "invest more than I can afford to lose"?

Are we finally migrating to Epochtalk Wink. I am watching those development as well and version:1.35.4 is released with major bug fixes.

Oh come on, don't be a spoilsport and just play along like the others man Grin

OK if no-one else kicks this off, I will do the honours:

Code:
[?????] T?? ?????????a?? ???? ????? ?? ??? ??t? a???????a?? ?? ???????ta??
Code:
[?????] The ?????????a?? ???? ????? of the 11th anniversary of Bitcointalk

Code:
[Merit] The illegitimate word search of the 11th anniversary of Bitcointalk

 Cheesy

Nice try but there's a 't' in illegitimate (edit: in "Merit" as well, so no Merit guys Grin), so that's not possible, otherwise it would be there already (errrmmm I suppose Tongue Grin).

"The biochemicals were blown on the 11th anniversary of Bitcointalk" is still a completely acceptable (also very plausible) possibility, though!

Was it really necessary to make a second post in here? It looks like you are still beating a horse that's already been dead for some days, and by doing so, you're burying some other threads that may be important. At least more important than "I got my post deleted in a thread moderators aren't suppose to act", it was deleted, might have been the right or wrong thing to do, but for the love of god; let it go

You mean well, mate, no doubt.

I suppose you already know you shouldn't feed the trolls.

Well, this time you haven't fed the trolls, you've fed nullius. May the gods have mercy on your soul.

(edit: on second thought, I think you really love getting attention  Cool)

Yeah, I know, it's a cliché, but I picked this one as my favorite, for one very simple reason: this is a story that is not only legendary for this community, but it's extra special because even my friends, family etc who haven't got a simple clue about bitcoin and how it works (yet), nonetheless all know this story. Now that BTC's mass adoption is growing on a daily basis, I'm sure this story will soon be part of history (it probably already is):

I'd like to get 06 and 66 please and oh my gawd isn't this a cute gadget, man! Alles Beste and thx for this raffle for the community!

I've put all science, math, TA and FA together and one conclusion I can make with certainty, is that vapourminer's snooze button sucks.

491  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism as a result of cultural differences on: November 16, 2020, 02:47:59 PM
A lot of interesting reactions, and a bit of nonsense and bullshit, too, here and there...

Copy-pasting and plagiarism are not synonyms.

I don't see why literally thousands of posts and opinions have been wasted on this subject. This is not something to have an opinion about: either it's plagiarism, or it's not.

That doesn't mean it's easy to prove (because if it's intentional, it's an offence, and if it's not intentional, it's not an offence) - and yes, the discussion about "intent" offers plenty of room for discussion - but the concept/definition of plagiarism is not open for discussion, not even in a cultural context. If you intentionally pretend the works or the text or the photo etc. to be yours - while they're not - there's plagiarism, no matter which country or culture you're in. So there are no different interpretations between cultures and nations, there are only differences between people who understand what (intentional) plagiarism is, and those who don't.

Read this a bit, because I don't know how clear it has to be made, before this discussion finally ends: https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/academic/guidance/skills/plagiarism

So yes, posting a text or a photo which is not yours might cause copyright issues (which is using someone else's intellectual property without permission, but has nothing to do with the famous nr. 33 of the forum rules), but as long as you're not pretending it's yours, there's NO plagiarism offence.

And for instance, text spinning CLEARLY is an offence of plagiarism, because you're actively and intentionally working to pretend having written someone else's text, of which you're even trying to hide its traces - doesn't get more intentional than that, right?

Posting a photo without source, might have copyright consequences, but if you're not pretending the photo is yours, it's NOT a plagiarism offence.
Posting a text without source, exactly the same thing: might have copyright consequences, but if you're not pretending the photo is yours, it's NOT a plagiarism offence. There's no logical reason at all why photos and text posts would be treated in a different way?
It's not nice and quite stupid to not mark at least the source (not to mention the copyright discussion), but if there's no intent, it's NO plagiarism offence.

So imho, the only relevant discussion that should be had on "the big plagiarism debate" is reduced to this simple question: is it (proven) intentional or not?

By the way, in the plagiarism thread, I'm not saying there's an intent in every case, but in any case, all cases I've seen passing by on the thread were intentional. However I can imagine there's a probability that people have been banned in the past for copypasting something without pretending it to be their works. Not saying it happened, just saying it's probable. As this offence is punished with forum death penalty, I presume mods take in-depth look at every separate case before deciding to ban, temp or perm.

edit:

Copy and paste post then recognizes the source of the author below is also consider as plagiarism though source may be indicated and being acknowledge but in my own opinion it is not enough to republish without even asking first the author. Just like a book being scan or photcopied, the author has the copyright for this and we should respect the author of his intellectual property by responsible publishing may it be online or other platform like this forum. This is only my opinion.

492  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't you add an Staking Board? on: November 16, 2020, 10:20:57 AM
Why don't you create an Staking board at alternate cryptocurrencies section for Altcoins i think it would be very helpful....
Forum is not a bank or investment company, by depositing a certain amount of money and crypto you can be part, the forum is the main destination to discuss crypto, especially Bitcoin, not a place to deposit your money or crypto.

Admin or mod, don't have time to manage your money/Altcoin, that's not the purpose of the forum.
If you have a lot of money/Altcoin, you can use the Staking system on the loan board: there you can get results from loans and interest.

Or you can directly do staking on your local exchange that has a blockchain network, if you want to get additional to your crypto assets.

I concur and obviously nothing stands in your way of simply opening devoted threads for it in the Altcoin section. I'm sure it won't be difficult to keep these threads alive, provided that enough people are interested in the subject of staking a specific coin, of course.
493  Other / Meta / Re: Post deleted by mistake or what? on: November 15, 2020, 11:23:28 AM
I have the impression that in the fight against spam, sometimes the righteous pay for sinners.

Taking in account the number of reports being made every day, I think the percentage of mistakenly deleted posts is probably still extremely low. These mods are not robots, so from time to time, there will be some posts deleted by mistake, or because the context wasn't completely clear etc.

I don't really see why you absolutely have to open another thread about this, and it hasn't made you a bit wiser about the subject. No, your post was not low value, and yes, it was probably deleted by mistake. But let's not act as if you have spent hours writing it. If you believe your reply is so essential, write it again and that's it.

I'm quite sure that the conditions of the bet will stipulate very clearly when and how the winner (of the election as well as of the bet Wink) will be decided. Doesn't look good for this gambler though... Wink

Gambling site would only based the grading of bets based from the official announcement of the winner of the presidential race, and until now there's still no announcement so they have the right to hold the grading of bet, some sportsbook have graded bets already but that is an exemption.

Unless I'm mistaken, the name of the gambling site is not mentioned in OP's article on FOX News, otherwise we could look up the conditions of the bet immediately. (not 100% sure the bet was placed online either, of course)

I wonder where Paypal's BTC backup guarantee is coming from. Did they buy the March dip, or do they get an early Black Friday IOU offer from Venezuela's or Iran's Central Banks?

After wiring the funds from our latest windfall, to our main, joint financial institution, the most difficult decision I need to make today is "How many mg of psilocybin do I want to dose myself with, and is today the day that I finally put @nullius on ignore..."

Life is good.

Have a great weekend, gentlemen.

try 2mg. It's still microdosing imho, but definitely less subtle than last time.
*This is not recreational advice*

About question 2: I keep asking myself since two days, too.
I decided NOT to engage ignore on him, if i'll read a post by nullius until monday and i'm NOT asking myself if i should finally hit ignore.

If this ignoring nullius thing becomes a widely supported "popular" "mass" action, chances are he'll take it as a compliment...
500  Other / Meta / Re: When replying, do you make use of quick replies or do you click "reply"? on: November 14, 2020, 06:09:08 PM
Had no idea the option existed. Same goes for the very small "quick edit" button in the right corner under the message. Hadn't even noticed that one before someone mentioned it a few weeks ago in some thread.

Anyway: I click "reply".
And to edit: I click "edit" next to it.

When making a quick reply, does it also show a warning when a new post has been added in the mean-time? (Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post.)

I think that's quite useful to not post the same reply, or to not post a question that has just been answered by "the guy before you". [edit: as did just happen with LoyceV's post ^  Tongue]
