Only for testing, i try to see if working with 70A on 12V.
That's a waste, if you had money to waste, then just buy good brand PSU.

.....
But if i buy a cosair. How could i plug it to the board cause the outputs are diferent
I believe the board also using pcie connector, so it's will work. But ofc the PSU will not fit in the case. The psu will be on the outside

I believe problem on PSU, buy good PSU like corsair, seasonic or evga at least 750 watt.
|
|
|
try to take a look at the market section, plenty of psu there, you need one 750w to be safe, better if it come from a good brand, don't buy cheap psu please, they can toast your miner
Seriously, S4 consumption is 1400watt, not 700 watt. I have an antminer s4 and my psu just stoped working, if anybody knows where i can buy one please let me know, i really aprecciate it. Thanks
Check this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1060439.0Bitmain start selling PSU similar with the one on S4.

Hi, i am new minning with my antminer s4 and i'd like to know if i could use 220v insted of 110, i do nit want to burn my power supply. Is tha posible?
S4 PSU voltage range is 100 - 240 VAC. So 110V or 220V is fine, but you will get better efficiency with 220V. S4+ PSU voltage range is 205 - 264 VAC. So S4+ definitely doesn't work with 110V. But it's will not burn, just won't start.

First of all, sorry for the large pictures.. Alright, opened it up and I am a bit shocked about build quality... Spare (sharp) aluminium parts lyhing around in middle of the cables... So I did some messuring, definately an issue with the PSU. I opened it up and and it was clear why it's not working... I mean, really!? Fixed the cable, no it's working... Actually things like that can be dangerous... Wow, lucky it's didn't explode or damage the miner The 12VDC is short to ground.

........... How do I find out what it is (55nm or 110nm)?
Check on the top side of the asics. 110nm is A3256 50nm is A3255 40nm is A3233

Hmm, I'm not sure what spec of Avalon you have.
I do recall having a 2 module 220GH/s Avalon that was 55nm and it was set to 16 miners and frequency of (I think) either 1300 or 1450.
I also had a lot of hassle setting it up. so much so that I ended up running it using a Raspberry pi loaded with Minera and compiling cgminer using --enable-Avalon. This worked a treat until the power supply went pop. Then I just ran 1 module on a smaller psu and set the miner count to 8 and the frequency to 1200 which gave me about 95G.
Did you commect the Raspbery to the miner USB? do you think it will work with Minepeon, I have one running on Raspbery Pi+ I will also try later with 55nm 16 / 1300 Dude, you should find out your avalon type first. Is it 55nm or 110nm. Trial & error will only damage your miner. Check the asic type. The link on your OP is 110nm, which is wrong thread i guess.

Hey There I just start using an Antminer S5, it has been running with a frequency at 400M. I Know that it was stable at 56 degrees in the first 24 hours. After about 48 hours Chain 1 went completely Cold. I Think that there are missing an "o" in the ASIC status, but I'm not sure . Please see the ASIC Status here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pnvit9vp1aoc2v9/antminer.jpg?dl=0I have tried the Reset Button, but it didn't help. It is running with a 700w PSU I have firmware upgraded it, and it didn't help either Please post any suggestions you might have :-) What is your PSU brand & type?

Got a S4+ today, new in box. But it doesn't power up (no leds flashing, no fans, nothing)... I am in Switzerland, so it's 220V and they say it should work if higher than 205V.... Any suggestions? Thanks Try to open the case & tighten all of cable connection

It should be work now, then you can overclock if like. You can try 340 - 350 frequency. You must be have free power still running this old miner

|
|
It was working OK up to last week when I mess up the IP address and had to reset the miner to defualt. now every time I start it it is like this.
How many module you miner have? 3 module? Ohh my. Your miner is avalon 1. The setting should be 110nm, not 50nm. Also on more option setting, it's should be: --avalon-auto. That why when you set 110nm, it's didn't work.

I see that you got dead chips there, about 8 chips. Try to power cycle the miner then check the log again. [match_work_count17] => 0 [match_work_count18] => 0 [match_work_count19] => 0 [match_work_count20] => 0 [match_work_count21] => 0 [match_work_count22] => 0 [match_work_count23] => 0 [match_work_count24] => 0
I try to terun it off and on again but it did not help. Is it normal at first then become problem? Or problem after certain running time?

Got my first miner today, got it online and running, but have some questions. It's an AMT-1200 and I can't find much info on it. Config page has Freq Mod 1-5 which looks like where I can set the speeds of the processors, but then there is a "diff" selection with 4, 16, 32, 37, 52, 86...1024. Can someone explain that setting to me?
Please post the screen shot of the setting page, i also don't have this unit. Most of AMT thread fill by accusation, i hardly find information regarding AMT-1200.

I am getting only 55g from it do you know why? It was 200+ before the IP change. My setting: 40:stratum+tcp://uk1.ghash.io:3333 40:stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:3333 20:stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 Pool Balance: Balance Avalon Chip: 55nm Chip Frequency: 300 Miner Count: 24 API Allow: W:127.0.0.1,W:192.168.0/24,W:192.168.1/24 More Options: --quiet
If I try to put the Frequency up it will not work and show all reject. If I try to put the Avalon Chip to 110 it will not work at all.
Please help!
Voltage setting maybe. I don't have this unit, so i can't be sure. But if you can post your config file or screen shot, i might be able to help.

If you don't mind, you can post your config file here or the command you executed. You can mask the username & password.

I don't think the problem only on FTDI chips. There might be another part of miner already damage.

|
|
Ok, i found the reset button and reset it.
Thanks.
Great then, happy mining

need to reset the IP address for it, can ping it on the network but can't go to the url, i mess up the IP address I thing, I can go to it via putty, I can see the network cable from it on the hub green. Any one know how to reset to default the Avalon 230G? the one from this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=271575.0I wonder which avlon you talk about. But, if you mess the ip address, then you should not be able to access the miner via putty. If you can access the miner via putty, you can edit the network configuration using text editor.
