Guess everyone busy with their new toys right now  Cheesy

Cool. Thanks for testing that.
I think Bitmine were using 830mV in their video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91MuwGOgRFo

No problem  Wink
But i am not sure about their setting. The cgminer only show 8/256

At 0:47, watch in 720p full screen, and you can see SYS_CLOCK=830MHz

But 17A/204W is awesome. I'll be happy with that! That's close to 1GH/W Cheesy

And i touch the heatsink, it's only warm with 4900 fan  Cheesy

830MHz mean around 212 on our setting

Yeah I want to run this with less volts like they do 850mV should make it 200GH/200W so I get less heat and can put quieter fans on.
But I think Zich said he got like 23% error rate!  Shocked
If I swap with someone with a later batch Feb/Mar will they be more efficient or the same?

Some test result  Grin

With 220 & 880mV, ampere usage on 12V rail is 20A  Grin

Then 200 & 870mV, ampere usage on 12V rail is 17 A. hardware error is very low  Shocked

1085  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 14, 2014, 02:26:36 PM
Sorry about that Gator.
Specially for customers like you we are finishing now 4 chip version with normal heat sink and fans.
I hope it will be stable @ 130 range  with nice 2-3w fans.
The damn chip is sooo power hungry

Update in Monday

This is great  Smiley
I am sure many people will choose 4 chip version  Grin
1086  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 14, 2014, 02:19:50 PM
Nice pictures guy's
Congrats to all Wink
Spacial thanks to Zih for bringing light to power consumption!

Have fun and happy nonstop mining

Thanks loshia  Grin
Tomorrow i will move to 260 & i will post the power usage  Wink
1087  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 14, 2014, 02:18:01 PM

I'll have to go hunting for a PSU tomorrow, can anyone confirm 850mV it runs < 264W?

I was trying with frequency 200 & voltage 850 mV but the board not hashing just like stifla first screen shot  Cheesy
Then frequency 240 & voltage 850 mV , hardware error 23%  Shocked
1088  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 14, 2014, 01:33:51 PM
Here some picture of my board that just arrived  Grin

And fan picture, i bet Gator-hex will be surprises  Wink
Bottom fan is "SUPER FAN" SUNON PMD1209PMB1A rated at 12,5 W, 4900 rpm & 57 dBA

Upper fan is SUNON PF92251V1-000U-S99 rated at 4,7 W, 4500 rpm & 46 dBA

After trying some setting:

  Hex8A1 Chip Frequency : 250
  Hex8A1 Chip Core Voltage : 980
Hex8A1 Set ASIC difficulty to one : 1

Ampere usage on 12 V rail is 30 A

Alright, so the bottom one is the pain in the ass Grin
Do you think about any replacement options? I'm still on the looks for good fans right now

BTW: 30 A are quite ok, so you get approximately 1,44W/GH with this settings ,right? (i have avg 250GH/s)

Even with that 4900 rpm, the heatsink is very hot. So i don't want to replace the fan  Cheesy

That is my rough measurement since i had to measure on 3 wire  Cheesy
So around 1,44 - 1,5 W/GH.

My board is just arrived too! First screenshot from hashing :

Wooo, you had big PSU there  Smiley

The parcel already cleared from custom. I just call DHL office & they said they will deliver the parcel tomorrow  Grin
Congrats Zich:)

Thanks loshia  Grin
Going to prepare new PSU tonight  Cheesy

Hi Zich,

Can I ask which PSU/model you're using ?

Thanks

Of course, i am using OCZ ZT 750

Sorry for late reply, my board just arrived. So a bit busy here  Grin

That's was huge heatsink  Grin . Seem like use 2 different type FAN, right stiffla?
Can not be sure until the parcel arrived.

I have ordered from the 30' piece hex8 with the better express shipping, this shipping was 46 euro. But my package is still in sofia soon 2 days. . Why is this express delivery? For more price i want much more speed ^^ i know very well that technobit cannot do anything with this, but i want answers. The shipping destination is hungary.

Shame they have sold out the pre production run. I was interested in one. If anyone is looking to sell one at a fair mark up i would be interested.
March batch is available with reduced price. You can get one from there. But the price and roi does not bother you right?
Any way there will be enough guys with board in hand after a couple of days and you can get one with reasonable markup. However i am not selling mine Grin

I am just looking to collect different types of hardware. If nobody can give me a fair offer soon I will just order for march.

Thanks

I would just hang fire. Someone might get 3x and realize they don't like the noise of 6x Sunon 4500rpm fans!
Someone on the TerraMine thread asked what the noise was like, and the reply was, "loud enough your wife will leave you if you don't switch it off".
Well Sunon 4500rpm are that noisy too!  Wink
Unless you leave enough space between wife and fans Grin Or you leave the wife first Cheesy
Apart of the jocks they are noisy and dangerous. I was thinking gator is not right about it but in fact he is.
Watch it Gator. This ones are even more dangerous compared to previous ones
In general you can live without a finger or two but what bothers me much is the electricity. So kids and wife's are forbidden! that is why I keep my stuff locked always and it is only me who goes there. That is what all of us should do to be able to enjoy our families. I have 15 Kw in my room wires everywhere. A single wrong move can cost a lot

LOL, you make my imagination goes wild by saying new one more dangerous  Grin
Can't wait to see what kind of heatsink & fan upgrade   Cheesy

so I just received 3 boards today.

I opened one board to check it and one fan is broken on the edges and some nuts are missing to keep the fans on the board....it is not a deal breaker, but the nuts should have been there Grin

I will test the boards in the evening with my less powerful 40A PSU (still waiting on my new ones).
How do I have to set clock and voltage? Or should I just try to decrease the voltage until it is stable?

You can set all via web of tplink or you can read changelog all settings are inside. A friendly advise. DO NOT CONNECT MORE THAN ONE BOARD TO 40 AMPS. NEVER! 40 amps at at the edge. Magic PSU smoke is very close Wink

I did see the pictures you had only one PCI-E connected! A lot of multi rail PSUs (Platimax 1500W) have 30A rails I assume 2x 30A rails will be fine?
More than fine Gator. in your case underclock/undervoltage even one can be fine. Just measure it if you can but on 12V rail not at the wall

This is my tool for measuring 12V rail current usage  Grin

hey it is an expensive one my is up to 10A and completely useless for hex8 Cry Cry Cry Cry

Yeah  Cheesy, since i am ex  service engineer, i can't help to use good quality one  Cheesy

I will get upset if you do not post something like this Wink I am jocking of course do not push the board too much  Cheesy

My reject rate is little bit high due to my primary pool issues and moving back and forth to backup/primary, besides guld sucks in terms of rejects for me personally Grin
this is with Set diff-to-one 0 - i am testing it and it is looking good  Wink with tplink of course Wink
TO ALL - Such high clock and voltage values are not recommended Use them at your OWN RISK!!!!!

Grin Honestly I can't wait to post
