941  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: April 14, 2020, 10:47:08 AM
Read my post about continuous growth

There is no guarantee that Bitcoin will go up and no guarantee that bitcoin will go down,
no matter the circumstances.
Bitcoin has never been static. It keep fluctuating up and down and I do believe op forget at this period, people are in needy. They need money to buy foods and sanitary just to keep healthy and people will prefer selling what they have in order to get what they don't have so it is meant to be like that.
942  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Should be subsubject in Economy on: April 14, 2020, 10:42:35 AM
I think you will agree with me that this is going to be hard especially in some countries that have not legalized the use of the crypto and if at all they will be taught in economy, I believe they will focus on the negative impact rather than the positive parts. However, I have seen that many countries that are crypto friendly are not only studying it as a course but also offering scholarship to studying the underlying technology which is the block chain. Such are very common in school in Europe
943  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: April 14, 2020, 10:32:01 AM
Well it does teaches the Nations that even though we have boundaries we all are connected , if something is going to happen to someone or some nation , it won't actually be connected with that particular nation only , it is gonna be a global phenomenon .
That is why boundaries doesn't matter , it is all connected to one another and people have to work with each other .
If economic collapses it is going to affect not only the people but it has more of a global influence , people are connected .

And this is the reason while the world should work together to eradicate global disaster and I see this virus as a means through which all countries should rather work together for common goal because if anything bad happens, it affect everybody. I live in a country where the government and the people are always at the mercy of western world rather than developing expertise and make the health system robust
944  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s second corona wave can it crush it’s economy? on: April 14, 2020, 10:25:08 AM
Honestly this virus has gotten really out of hands. Just when we think everything will end soon, we start hearing cases of second wave. In the other news today, it has been reveal that people that were confirmed that have overcome the virus and tested negative before are now testing positive again. If all these are real, I believe the world will be in a really deep shit after the whole stuff
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOBIT scam peoples in X100 ICO on: April 13, 2020, 07:57:49 PM
A lot of experience traders have rate yobit here on BTT and it is no more news that yobit has a bad reputation. I have not seen any exchange that will keep sending periodic mails to a registered member just to let them want to think of joining this their shitty projects and I am very perturbed to see that some are still participating in ICO after that yodollar scam coin
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: April 13, 2020, 07:52:41 PM
Let us just say the reason for this is because of unsuccessful completion of most projects. Just as you have noted. Alot of them have been around for awhile but the token they give hunters are either locked or even not tradable. Many of them do not even raise up to 2 ETH. I know a particular fantastic project called Gymreward. They could not raise any money and up to date, the dev team are still working to give the public something to smile about.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Telegram associated with fraudsters on: April 13, 2020, 07:39:15 PM
I think some functionality such as ability to search and message anyone and also some bug that allow individual to keep adding people to a group without their permision makes it easy for fraudsters to use. I could remember some time ago, Discord was a prefered app for community groups but later interest was shifted to telegram and today a lot of scammers have also prefer telegram compare to any other app
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet on: April 13, 2020, 07:33:11 PM
eventhough this is a rough moment in the world due to the pandemic disease, I still believe this is the right moment people can really learn and make use of the crypto from the comfort of their home and today i read somewhere on the forum that udemy is witnessing a huge new users taking course in crypto. About the mining shutting down, I have not heard news about that and I do not think locking down a country stops mining rig from working
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: April 13, 2020, 07:22:54 PM
Well, since you are a junior member, I think you still have a lot to learn and doing your research well must have helped you to understand that exchange like Binance to promote strict project on their launchpad don't allow them do bounty campaign. In fact, last year Harmony that did bounty campaign had to stop it immediately binance DEX accept them. Furthermore, you need to understand that many of projects now dying. some will even do token sales for more than a year yet they will not even make half of the softcap. doing bounty projects now is not profitable except you are doing it for fun.
950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Well Organized Scam Projects on: April 13, 2020, 07:12:59 PM
After witnessing the Denaro scam, I can tell you it is very difficult to detect a scam project even when you deep down about the team. Some of these projects are perfectly organized to the extent that nothing they provide you will be fake. However, I have discovered it is better to participate in projects that if it is not successful, you will get your money back. And this is the reason why you need to know maybe the business is officially registered in the country where they claim to be. Any project that is not registered or you cannot find any information about business registration is not to be considered. from experience, projects that are duly registered especially in europe are not likely to scam you.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Demand for Bitcoin online courses explodes by 300% on: April 13, 2020, 07:24:22 AM
you will agree with me that this is absolutely the best time to study online and gain valuable knowledge and getting to know that a lot of people are getting to demand bitcoin online courses also indicate the willingness of people to wanting to know more about the cryptocurrencies which might help a lot of people that have the wrong perception about the coin understand better
952  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 12, 2020, 03:28:44 PM
You don't have to have 100$ before you can start trading, some platforms accept ten dollars as minimum deposits but crypto exchanges accepts any small deposit and you can jump into trading right away
I think the Op is not just talking about trading for fun but interested in knowing a reasonable amount you can have to make good gain and according to what he posted, He needs to learn how to minimize and manage risk because no matter how much he is starting with, he might end up losing everything. However, starting trading with $10 is not quiet a reasonable amount for me.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first BTC ATM in Nigeria on: April 12, 2020, 03:17:00 PM
ATM is not that important they are everywhere. Look at Aella and Creditcoin offering microlending to the poor in Africa. Invested in by Coinbase and Y combiantor. This is the type of stuff that will change personal finance for africans.
I think it does. Maybe you think it is the general ATM machine you see around but this is a BTC atm so I think it will create more awareness especially in Nigeria where a lot of people are very much into using cryptocurrency. Having BTC atm makes it easy for merchants and offline stores to further boost their interest in accepting crypto as payment option
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: April 12, 2020, 01:22:26 PM
Have you ever experienced problems with USDT so far ??
because until now I personally have never experienced any error, because in crypto there is no one that is safe, everything has its own risks.
we must understand that it is now more popular that is centralized  than not.
There is no project that is absolutely safe in this market, but for USDT we will never have a problem with it. I have been using USDT for years and have not had any problems with it, and certainly in the future it will be the same. You can completely put your faith in this stablecoin
But it is not good to keep hold this stable coin. A stable coin is very useful in trading but not on holding. You cant able to gain with the stable coin because this will not fluctuate. The value will the same to fiat like dollar base. It is safe but not recommended to hold, it's better to hold hold Bitcoin than holding a stable coin in your portfolio.
You may not be able to gain USDT when you hodl but when you are trading it, you can gain especially with those leverage tokens and this is the reason why the trading volume of USDT is very high as stated by op because alot of crypto trader trade it other pair and they use it to minimize lost during volatility
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: April 12, 2020, 01:18:44 PM
How? Isn't USDT an ERC20 based ? maybe because it is a stable coin of which it is not the only one but most preferably used to minimize risk. I do not thin there is any risk that makes it at higher risk more than the other cryptocurrencies in as much as you used it on reputable exchange platforms. Do not forget there are many stable coins but USDT has been around for a long time
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: My first experience of Bitcoin halving, I'm excited. on: April 12, 2020, 11:41:54 AM
The expectation of the people are here about this halving that is coming up and a lot of people just like the op have always explained this scenario in term of the price. I hope you will check what is being discussed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5239658.new#new so that you understand more about what is expected from this halving.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antonopoulos answers the question about the impact of halving on: April 12, 2020, 11:36:49 AM
I think what is holistic about this halving is that some miner will not be able to continue due to lower mining reward which gives room for other big miners (more centralization) however, it is still difficult to predict the price of the bitcoin will rise which is the most discussed issue among individuals this day. However, peoples expectations and also media discussion about the halving might have a short positive influence on the price of the bitcoin during the process.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time Will tell on: April 12, 2020, 11:14:58 AM
Think of the way governments tries to Establish different regulations and laws on Bitcoin this leads to see the feuture of Bitcoin will be good more than the way we think. Government should not underestimates people's Power and Bitcoin strengthen by It's users

Governments of the most countries are trying to establish new laws and regulation on Bitcoin and crypto trade. This situation isn't good for the crypto lovers because we live in a country and if govt imposes such hard rules, we have to fear of our punishment if we can be caught by law enforcing agencies. Although Bitcoin transaction and trade are fully controlled by the users and here the govt has no control but it should be bear in mind that govt rules play a vital factor in the society.

it does. If bitcoin is declared illegal, it means anyone caught using bitcoin for any transaction both domestically and internationally has break the law and this might result into punishment. Many of us underestimate the power of government, thinking they cannot end this crypto but we should be hoping there are not going to be more strict regulations because it can damage crypto
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Kiyosaki believes in Bitcoin on: April 12, 2020, 09:46:53 AM

I don't know what's the problem of telling people that they are using or having Bitcoin? will this lowered their popularity?

Nah, just the old school mindset of investors; digital money is scam unlike forex and stocks because there's nothing backing them.

But these people are "smart" by using such sentiments to silently manipulate the market when people least expected them.

Then there's Jamie Dimon, the CEO of Chase bank. Previously he lambasted Bitcoin, calling it a fraud. Now look who's talking.
Some of them will condemn the crypto calling it a scam but I am not going to be surprised if many of them even hodl millions worth of dollars in bitcoin. To them, it is a mind game that is being played to distract people from crypto. Maybe they are also thinking it will be a threat to their businesses. Nobody could have thought Mark will even think of creating Libra.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin on: April 11, 2020, 09:14:05 PM
There must be something that drive continuous demand for a token which mean high value that increase the price. No matter how many exchange a token is listed if the project that backup the token is not viable and evolving it is just a matter of time before the token value depreciate seriously and that is what cause delisting
