You inspire me Zelig!  Your long term commitment and patience is what UNO is about.
Turtle Power!

When did Coins-e.com go down? I'm not seeing it today.

i see it
this is the only active market they have (at least that i could find)
https://www.coins-e.com/exchange/DOGE_BTC/

shame. nice website.
Ok, that's odd.  http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/coins-e.com has it up, but it's totally not in my dns for now. I'm glad it's still around, and maybe I'll be able to reach it again soon.

It appears we will clear the volume hurdle at Bittrex today. Thanks for your help.
The warning message will probably remain for a few days longer.

Our market at Bleutrade could also use some attention on the buy side. Anyone want to make it a project to revive the Bleu market?

Have you seen the Meme thread at CCT?
We've had some good times here. Some of them were even humorous.

Our forum at Cryptocointalk needs some attention or it may be removed.

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1418-unobtanium-uno-information/page-41

Can some of you join me there and lets get that community activated. Put up a post to show that we have CCT users and that it's just not the FallingKnife show over there.

The software at Cryptocointalk is terrific, and with some of the ban issues on the venerable BCT, having a presence on CCT is important.

Reminder:  today is an important day to bring some volume to the Bittrex market. Please help if you are able.

Let's nail this.

I don't know, Smokes. Based on the past year, there's a pump every few months. Now is a good time to buy in, imo. I totally wouldn't be surprised to see a big price spike at some time.  When Uno moves up, it can move up really fast. We're only up 1000% year over year, LOL. To some people, that's big money.

Below .01, I see Uno as a coiled spring.  But you know me... I'm a little biased, but that's one of the reasons I'm here. I see plenty of upside from here.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Quick-and-Dirty Unobtanium Wallet Build Guide - Linux on: June 30, 2015, 12:22:11 AM
Credited to Siameze/shinohai » Sun May 17, 2015 5:22 pm, CryptoGuild

This was tested on Ubuntu LTS 14.04 and Debian 8. Your experience may vary, post bugs in this thread.

Step 1. Grab your dependencies.

sudo apt-get install build-essential libtool autotools-dev autoconf automake libssl-dev libboost1.55-all-dev libminiupnpc-dev libqt5gui5 libqt5core5a libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev qttools5-dev-tools libprotobuf-dev libqrencode-dev pkg-config libprotoc8 protobuf-compiler git software-properties-common python-software-properties

Step 2. Add Bitcoin PPA + more dependencies.
Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install libdb4.8 libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++ libdb4.8++-dev

Step 3. Use git to grab the latest Unobtanium source.
Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/unobtanium-official/Unobtanium.git

Step 4. Enter the cloned directory and build.
Code: Select all

 cd Unobtanium

chmod +x autogen.sh

chmod +x share/genbuild.sh

chmod +x src/leveldb/build_detect_platform

./autogen.sh

./configure --enable-upnp-default --with-miniupnpc --with-gui=qt5

make -j4   #You might want to go grab a pint while this builds. Wink

strip src/unobtanium-cli

strip src/unobtanium-tx

strip src/unobtaniumd

strip src/qt/unobtanium-qt

make install (optional)

Binaries are available in /usr/local/bin if you run 'make install' Otherwise they will be available in the build directory.

Looks like Cryptopia is featuring Blazr's coins. Is that right? Cthulhu? 23 Skidoo? Flaxscript? And an interesting crypto called 'Unobtanium'?

m
They are Blazr2 fans at Cryptopia. They also have block explorers and mining pools. 23skidoo is usually the top sha256d coin for hash.

Re Bittrex: lets all please make a point to retain this market and do some trading there over the next week. I am not in favor with "calling their bluff. " Smiley  Lots of money at Bittrex, and Uno should be there.  I ran .5 btc through there this morning. Ideally the volume would be enough to sustain it constantly, and sometimes it is, but that's the problem with hodl coins: sometimes volume is too low.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: June 28, 2015, 01:28:21 AM
@Blueman, very generous! Thanks for leading by example.

@IMZ and his team have given a lot to Uno. Their efforts are useful and interesting to the community and to people seeking to connect, so I intend to keep Cryptoguild listed.

There is truly no "official" Uno. There are only those of us that community lifts up and chooses to follow and encourage. What you see in Uno is not a company; we're a passionate user-driven open source project. We are in this nearly 2 years now, and we're in it for the long haul. If I were to get hit by a bus tomorrow and this thread locks and the website dies, one of you would build it back up and keep it going.

Bring on China, because it speaks to new opportunity and expands the community.
Bring on trusted traders, because it creates something that no other cryptocurrency has that I am aware of.
Bring on new users with new ideas and enthusiasm.
Bring on time and challenge, because this is a marathon and runners are dropping out every single day.

Uno is the culmination of it's entire history. Anyone can create a 3 minute blockchain and limit it to 250k coins, but few devs have had the integrity to invest their coins with fairness. Uno is special because of its history, community, and it's growing longevity, and probably for lots of other reasons. Will it be enough to propel Uno to success?  Ask me that question in 10 years. I'll be here.

I don't care of Uno takes over the entire world, replaces USD, or BTC. But I do care that we have the chance to figure out what it is, and to see what this thing can become.  I clearly see an opportunity for a cryptographic commodity. I don't think that will be Bitcoin because it is already plainly a currency.  In an ideal world, a slow and klunky 10 minute blockchain would be the commodity and the speedy 3-minute chain would be the currency, but that's not what we have here.   Because of where it's been, Uno is better suited than ever to claim the cryptographic commodity mindshare. To be a commodity, you need low inflation and low velocity -- two thing that Bitcoin can't ever have.

There is a great future here for Uno. Along the way we will argue and disagree.  But stick around, things are just getting interesting.

+1 Bitcoincharlie.  Well said.

Where is the China effort at this point?  Have we chosen a target exchange yet?
captchadd has a coin on Bter. When I asked him about it, he thought they might only be interested if there was some kind of pre-mine we could use to buy them with.
I've become unconfortable with Bter since their last hack, and the recent BobSurplus fiasco for <whatever>coin (can't remember).

I try to be the anti-moderator. I have not deleted any posts since my last warning. This thread is moderated, albeit barely.

Any posts that have been removed here recently must have been removed by the poster.

Keep the discussion intelligent, and no worries. No overtly personal attacks, no childish name calling, and no worries.  My standard for decorum here is low, but there is a standard.

There is an unmoderated off-topic Uno thread in the OP. Anyone wants to start a new unmoderated thread, be my guest. I hold no monopoly on where people talk about Uno. But if you want to talk about Uno here, please be kind enough to adhear to the third line of this post.

No shortage of drama for sure but soon China and the biebercoin market will be UNO's salvation.  Roll Eyes
I'd prefer a UNO/MCC celebrity pairing, but if Beiber can deliver, I'm all for it.

LOL. MileyCyrusCoin is actually quite rare.  1.2 million MCC vs 400m Biebers.

I personally would very much like to see the microscope back.  I really liked the old wallet, simple, clear, stylish and very obviously Unobtanium.

You're in luck my friend:

I've finished putting the Vault back the way it should be, and the microscope returns! Now that I'm a bit more comfy with the QT5 design (not too much different), I'll start fiddling with some new design ideas based on some of the images in thread--slowly though, I'm not a graphic designer. Should have a Mac version next.

I've pushed a pull request to the main Un github, don't know how/when BW will merge it: https://github.com/unobtanium-official/Unobtanium/pull/22 In the meanwhile, just use mine at https://github.com/thegreatoldone/Unobtanium. I made a couple other small updates, replaced coinworks seednodes, removed 'Core' branding, updated some visual stuff, set coincontrol features to be on by default. May be a bit before I get back around to the 9th digit--most of the light groundwork I started on is gone in the 0.10x branch--but that's ok, I wasn't too far along with it quite yet and as someone mentioned above, it was only a placeholder for the moment.

Enjoy--I know I am getting back in to the swing of things. An upgrade to OFF is coming up next. Nice to see the Blazr2 coins featured at Cryptopia today--thanks! Also mad thanks to you all for the OFF Un tips (doh, it was late--though I am certainly up for Offerings). I do ever so appreciate every single one, though I must admit I may buy some Skidoo, Flax, and Offerings with them on Cryptopia ;-) Cheers to you all, a brilliant community!

HagbardCeline, thanks for the update!

I am now running the "Blueschist" wallet. It looks great and runs fine.

I'll be updating Unobtanium.uno this weekend making this the new default wallet.

Ok.  I need a different tone here.

Please don't make me be a moderator. I hate that, but I don't see this tone as constructive, helpful, useful or even interesting.

I will be moderating posts for the next 48 hours below this one for language and personal attacks.

Don't like it? Start a different thread and I'll join you there.

My Un dream is multiwallet management.

Just a pain to close the wallet, rename the old wallet wallet-old.dat and rename the other wallet wallet.dat, and then restart. Then I realize I selected the wrong wallet.

I wonder also how this community going to look like after 10 or 20 years from now?
A little older.  A lot richer.
