There is only one UNO.
While it may be easy to mimic the technical specs: 3 minute blocks, limited issue, short inflationary phase, long mining reward phase;
it is difficult to mimic the fair part: Fair launch. No premine. No instamine. No hidden reward. Nothing held back for the dev team. Benevolence is where all of these other coins fall far short, and one of the reasons that Uno has been so difficult to duplicate.
Now longevity and an interesting history is part of the Uno equation, part of what makes it valuable. No one can just launch a 2 year old coin today. That part has to be earned. We know what happens when Uno is put through a trial: the community rises up and helps it through. Many coins launch to great fanfare, lofty promises and high expectations, but few make it to their first year, and virtualy none make it through their first serious bout with doubt.
Uno: Fair. Rare. Resilient.

 The guy in the tie. That's Rush! I don't run the big Bitcoin wallet any more. I had been using Electrum and loving it. It simplifies things a lot. But for Bitcoin, its a necessity. It's such a bonus for UNO to have Crytapus' fork of Electrum. Its Nat and I on Cryptocat. We'll leave it open on channel Unobtanium, checking it periodically. I had hoped some of the Europeans would be able to join.

It's good to have some attention put on the all of the good things happening with Uno. He mentions merge mining, Cryptopia, return of Blazr2, the start of our 3rd year, even silver & gold on Coaex, and electrum wallet. Lots good Blueman graphics in there as well. Be sure to watch it, tweet it, like it... amplify Unobtanium!

FallingKnife , are you trying to add Uno to china exchanges like OKCoin,Huobi? if it happen price will fly I'd think we would all like to see that happen. Thanks to an effort earlier this year, we have a Mandarin translation of our website as a first step. There's an ongoing discussion here about which exchange Uno would have a good shot at getting listed on. OK/Huobi would be fabulous. If you know who to bribe, let me know. |

There are almost 500 UNO sitting on the sells up to .008 on Cryptopia right now. The largest chunk I've seen on this exchange is sitting at .061. Volume/supply is moving away from Cryptsy.
I've been eyeing that. That's a nice size chunk at a great price. Its good to see that more people are using Cryptopia now. |

Yes, unlike IxCoin $IXC, Uno will not be completely mined out for 300 years. IXC pays NO rewards today, and because it's barely traded there are virtually no fees distributed to miners. Their main advantage is longevity, which is fast becoming an asset of Uno. Unlike IXC, $UNO will continue to reward miners for a very, very long time thanks to Blazr2's foresight.
NOTE TO THE FUTURE (year 2315): If you are wondering what to do about paying Uno miners now that it is mined out, perhaps it would be ok to fork and "re-issue" some of the lost Uno that has not moved on the blockchain in the past 250 years or so. Reclaim the abandoned wallets for the community and re-issue, but keep the rarity cap at 250k Un. My god, if the coins haven't moved in 250 years they probably wont' move in the next 500 years either. Give a public notice to everyone with a 250 year old wallet to move the coins or lose them.
