confirmed, this is the last I've heard of the person.  Someone who I spoke to informally had mentioned that he's a nature style bug-out person,  that he can survive on his own quite proficiently on the land.  I don't know how accurate that is or isn't but it would align to his message of 'being busy' (off the grid living my life as I please)  <filled in with my own interpretation, yours may vary.

Why do you need more than a Bitcoin for this?

The price of the sign itself is $325, the price of postage is $50 - that's why it's $375.  But at this point, we only need about $130 in BTC, we've got .73 total (another .08 was donated IRL in different addresses).  Hopefully, another rally happens and BTC price breaks past $350 mark and then you're right we would only need 1 bitcoin.

Update:

We've done it everyone!  I'll be removing the donation address and flyer from the top post but will keep the original link for reference to my site and campaign.  I'll be sure to share info and/or a video of the sign once its there!

Yarrr!
Take it all - give nothing back!

Aye yay yai  Cry too much money lost.  I spent 16 LTC for a net worth value of 1.65 LTC now.  I was trying to consolidate but this is just too painful to shed away if  I turn this back into LTC.

What is the reason or benefit for DBL in your eyes rather than to earn it and sell it?
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween greetings from the Crypto crypt. on: November 01, 2015, 08:47:29 AM
The words "Crypto" or Cryptocurrency do not help Bitcoin gain mainstream acceptance, since 'crypto' sounds so much like crypt.

Are you willing/able to change the popular terms in order to make Bitcoin more friendly for average people?

Where's the private key??? I can't seem to scan this painting into my wallet?

Like this one right???

Tailored Dice Script:  pay me 10 BTC

Faucet: pay me 5 BTC
Chat: pay me 2 BTC
Autobet Bot: pay me 5 BTC

^ are your baseline minimums.  You either need to build your game for yourself, Or your need to divvy an additional 21 BTC.  Don't be surprised if someone takes your offer then builds a fake app just to take your 1 sole bitcoin and make you feel like bobbo the fool

... not dice or any of the many others that are the same this will be a unique addicting jackpot game...

a jackpot and a house edge - that's pretty much sounding like a type of ponzi - people pay in and the lucky person in the queue gets paid out.  At this point, I'd rather take my chances against the dice site over your concept idea.  I'm not trying to come off overtly negative, but come on, COME ON, that is ridiculously low-baller slave wages you're trying to do and personally, I'm offended you would think this was okay.
254  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS PSUs 1200W and 1500W on: September 27, 2015, 03:35:32 AM
Couldn't seem to get them sold and I have no use for them so now I'm feeling out for prices.

Rosewill Lightning 1200   $120

Enermax Revo 1500 - $150
255  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hi everyone. I need these random questions answered. on: September 22, 2015, 03:26:39 AM
Is it mainly men on this site? If it's mainly men on this site, if a beautiful woman acted terribly at a dinner party, would you still date her?

Also, do any of you have girlfriends that you buy things for?

...I don't know why I need to know the answers to these questions. I just do. Don't question why, because I don't know.

Why not I'll contribute to this  Smiley

I think its mainly men, but that's because its a heavily  technology focused website.  Just the same as stack overflow or codepen I feel like.  Maybe reddit or zapchain has a slightly larger mix of women on it then here, though don't discount the valuable cool women that ARE here.

Quote
if a beautiful woman acted terribly at a dinner party, would you still date her?

That all depends on your goals and intentions here.  Were you planning on making her longterm material?  If so, was she uncomfortable or were there reasons for what happened?  If there were reasons and you still have strong feeling for this woman and you want it to be a long term thing then you would let it slide, it's just a dinner party, not your life at large - you really can't hold that sort of thing against people, time is fluid and we're living breathing creatures, that was one point in the past, if someone held the same feeling against you when you weren't at your best wouldn't you feel disadvantaged?

Also, imagine that same person eventually coming on here and reading what you have just said, would you feel comfortable or confident? As in, did she know whether or not you felt like she acted terribly at dinner?  I don't know how to put this, but I would take a guess that there's more married men here than you would care to count for, I think that more middle aged folks are into BTC than younger people, but the younger people with gfs and bfs fare well fine, BTC or not.  You need to actually put that part of your life aside when looking at relationships, just do what you would have done anyway without bitcoin, don't push your interests into her life - buying her BTC or btc based merchandise would suck, but her buying YOU stuff like gifts would be cool.  Also, if you're only dating her at this point, don't even sweat gifts or any of that stuff.  That's not a way to true love - having a strong connection and bond is more important - the most ideal situation is when she is your best friend 1st intimacy partner 2nd.
256  Other / Off-topic / Re: The last true date for the end of the world: August 17, 2016. on: September 20, 2015, 09:55:26 PM
Now that September 23, 2015, looks more and more like a bust as to the demise of planet Earth, I present to you the true date: August 17, 2016.

For proof that such is accurate, the powers that be (henceforth, they) have scrubbed ALL remote evidence connecting August 17, 2016, as the true end-of-times (EoT). We've all witnessed in the pass how they operate, ergo The End is Nigh (TEiN)!

As August 17, 2016, approaches, I, among others, WILL be presenting to you proof that all proof of the concerning day is nowhere to be found.

Proof #1: Full moon on August 18, 2016, at 09:27 UTC, thus they have taken the moon out of the equation as a sign for EoT.

Proof #2: August 17, 2016, falls on a Wednesday, a "false flag" because we all know that nothing important normally happens on "hump day".

Bitcoin was invented to guarantee that the world will never end.  For if the world were to end catastrophically, then BTC price would skyrocket and the rest of the world does not desire such an action.  So, by proxy, the world will never end!

I'd like to thank shittyaskscience for their contributions on my psyche to answer in the manner above.
257  Other / Off-topic / My list of Common Tech Words on: September 20, 2015, 09:13:39 PM
I didn't know where else to place this.  Didn't seem right throwing it in my honeybadgerofmoney blog.  Maybe, if the list gets bigger, I'll make a point to throw it onto strongarmskeptic.  Anyway, I'm doing a bunch of reading to pin down MEAN stack better and to my dismay the following works will not go away!

The most commonly re-used tech jargon:

thread
process
prototype
node
class
controller
endpoint
component
scheduler
daemon
propagate
view

added since posting this:

cascading
task
problem
code
agent
cycle
undefined

It's blowing my mind that these words are used repeatedly to death and while they try to have similar meanings across, they DON'T!   Angry Angry Angry Angry

Do you have any other common tech jargon words that are used consistently everywhere but may have different meanings depending on context?  Let's discus!
258  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] MTG 10-Card Packs $2 [Free shipping] on: September 11, 2015, 08:07:35 PM
I happened to find a bountiful supplier so I'd like to try my hand at selling them here first.  These are sealed packs (only commons, sorry).  If a huge wave of you guys exists, I may go out of my way to acquire some uncommons and rares to include in purchases, I just don't know at this time.

I will give you 1 free pack for every 5 you buy.

so:

spend $10 in BTC  get one free pack, spend $20 get two, etc.

This is such a small purchase that escrow will not be accepted for orders lower than $30.  I haven't yet listed screenshots, but if anyone is genuinely interested, I'll go ahead and edit this post to include some.  I came upon this opportunity so I'm just weighing it out here, in the forum for a response, before doing anything with my own store, honeybadgerofmoney.com  Thank you for your time.

Frankenmint

(back in June 2013 I created a store that failed spectacularly called magic4bitcoin.com, if you didn't pull the trigger then, I'm giving you another chance now).  Have a great day everyone.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If CoinWallet.eu is stressing BTC... Do you support stressing CoinWallet.eu? on: September 10, 2015, 04:03:04 PM
Come on Bitcointalk, where's your research face?

We go to "deposit" a "bank draft", and are told we should make it out to payee 1009926 B.C. LTD. Stupidly with all these "methods" we are told to blindly send them money, but give them no way of identifying that the money they receive is owned by a particular account.

The company we are interested in was registered in August 2014, so it's either completely fake or for some reason hasn't been used before (I had a look around, there's no results for this particular canadian buisness number to be found anywhere).

The company number does exist in the database of the Candian government, but it appears to be a reassignment, this result is from 1986. It turns out for some reason financial services are exempt from being listed in public record. Might be worth while if someone in the US or Canada can contact a government office and see if there's a way to get information about them this way?

This address in particular is fairly useless, it's a remailer/virtual office located in Canada, this is fairly interesting because it's pretty off the beaten track and nowhere like the UK based address they claim on their website.

The website doesn't have a shitty CloudFlare configuration so they don't leak their host, however, the nameserver pair they use might expose something interesting.

The pairs of names CloudFlare assigns is unique to the user account that adds the domain, so either coinwallet.eu is related to ibookair.net and lauincherfenix.com.ar, or someone just got unlucky and has the same pairing as them. Useless information now but might be interesting in the future.

Their email sending configuration is a bit weird, it uses mandrill as a proxy to avoid exposing their server behind cloudflare. Mandrill leaks the user ID of the person who made the account in the headers, which might be useful to compare with other dodgy services to see if there's any matches that might expose more about them. Specifically if you search "X-Mandrill-User: md_30632414" on your raw mailbox files we might get somewhere interesting, there's currently no results for that sadly.

The wallet they use can be found on walletexplorer as https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/000babbf8d1cc6e6 . Doesnt look like they have a particularly huge business but you can see some of their spam going in and out in the older sections of the page.

http://regex.info/exif.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.coinwallet.eu%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Flogo.png

We bust out the EXIF viewer, and find that their logo was created 3 months 17 days ago, using Adobe Photoshop CC on Windows. Most importantly, we now know the creators timezone is GMT+1. This timezone appears to suggest the person who created the logo was located in Algeria, Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Niger or Nigeria.

I've also requested for the WHOIS information on the domain coinwallet.eu to be unmasked by the registry.

whoever you are - you're the shit. Start offering lessons on sluething and opsec on streamium - you'll go places.  Wink
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If *someone* is stressing BTC... Do you support stressing *someone*? on: September 10, 2015, 04:02:24 PM
By the way, today is September 10th, at what time and which time zone is stress test starting exactly?

They were cancelled. See elsewhere in this thread.

as bahamapascal quoted those scumbags are using the same strategy they used last time.
they are spreading the private keys of the addresses which they want to use on their spam attack so the number of transactions go even higher by using other people's greed for making a 0.001BTC

i remember last time i saw the same thing on reddit on a post disguised as "i can't send bitcoin from my wallet, please help me" and then he started leaking 100 private keys.

would you share the link please?  That would be cool to make the correlation and determine if they are connected.
