1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 15, 2013, 07:15:58 AM
You know the game when you played it. That is, preorder ASIC mining equipment.

If you never imagined something like this could happen then I'm just saying, you clearly don't know what you got yourself into in the first place.

Not true. The ASIC part was on time. I saw the fucking thing hashing in september as planned.
The ASIC engineers didn't fuck this up, it was the logistics. No-one would mind firmware updates, that was to be expected. Being fed either bullshit or nothing at all...that's insulting.

Oh, and the original terms were refund until shipping. I have had fuck all ship or even in production but they are clear about no refund. A changed goalpost , one of many.
According to their site today you can pay and  be "up and running the day after your purchase of your product." Really? That true? Not even close. Where I live we call that misleading. We know it's shite  and some people seem to enjoy taking that, but remember that not everyone reads this forum and that site is accessible for any customer from anywhere ..maybe seeing Sam boasting on one of the many interviews prompts people into considering buying a miner..and be bitterly disappointed.

ok that's it I'm fed up with you....BAN till the 25th of OCT....then I'll be on the same footing with you but until then...we all knew it was a risk...hell the plane could've crashed with the chips on board in the hands of a dead hand courier....that didn't happen...they are trying to play the utilitarian card and are probably trying to get shit figured out under our noses until the 25th (10 days past their promise date)  I am willing to give them the "worse case scenario has happened"  All your bitching and shit...we don't really know for sure where you stand with your orders since you've omitted your information on the order list which makes me think you're not a day1/2 order.  I promise to unban you come October 23rd if I have no email in my inbox signaling tracking info from KNC and will join in with the pitchforks.  [omfg they promised they promised I didn't have the stomach for risk nor the spare money to risk away but now that I see this it makes things all better to vent my emotions outward]  You tool do you hear yourself???
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 15, 2013, 05:38:04 AM
Angry I was just sending an email to Paypal risk department about KNC misconduct.  I am waiting for Paypal to reply tomorrow before I am going to get Visa , MasterCard , Discover and American Express take on KNC merchant account.   Grin  I believe they would love to read this forum and KNC forum to see how KNC conduct their business  with hundreds of customers complaining ..

Really, hundreds?  Maybe Dozens.  Agreed, I want KNC to just admit a revised shipping completion date for all miners. Maybe they'll wait till tomorrow to announce what another guy here calculated which was around the 18th as revised shipping.
1245  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: October 15, 2013, 05:27:11 AM
There is no way to make it "work".

More people will pile on if you lower the price.
I am not talking about price, but the pricing scheme. Big difference. Indeed, with the current pricing scheme (pre-orders/projected yield), which now shows empirical evidence to cause a huge wealth transfer from the mining community to the ASIC producers, price adjustments do not work properly (unless you can convince your supplier to make up any difference to ROI). The reason is that during times of rapid network growth the profitability becomes a lottery. This suggests that over the long term the simple sales market will collapse if a viable alternative is injected into the market which leads to a more rewarding experience for miners.

Finally a hero member with hero answers.  That was just brilliant.

Its time for me to step in here:

Its all about Cex.io Cloud mining.  Lease from Ghash.io instantly and get paid...do it quick get in get out and right now with zero fees you will earn ROI.
ZERO Electricity
Zero Maintenance*

*Obviously you should look everyday to see your earnings...you could convert your earnings into more mining power and convert your earnings into a savings account.  make sure to cash out quickly though because the cost per GH is expected to decrease especially with their referral program for which I have linked above.  It's fair you know that I myself would like to gain from sharing this information which is why I Converted this into a Promo Link.

OOOOOHhhhhhh how much how much?  I'd buy 100 if the price was right.
1252  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: custom case for the new bitfury miners on: October 12, 2013, 12:41:11 AM
I voted no because I would spend more time hankering up my own version...I think that miners would rather "build and tinker" than to buy your case and "be done with it"  Same thing happened when I had to choose between a build it yourself reprap printer and just buying something like a makerbot or cubify
1253  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: October 12, 2013, 12:00:14 AM
Finally got it all set up nice and pretty. Currently pulling 16A @ 240V

showoff..  Shocked

Looks nice. Grin

20K cost if you bought in at old prices???  When did you have your units delivered (I'm envy to see if you made ROI unlike me  Grin)
1254  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Countdown to shipping all units - 15th October on: October 11, 2013, 11:45:06 PM
They will never ship all the orders before the 15h of October : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=249065.0
Those with no shipping day are, only now, having their order status changed to "In progress".

its sad to know that for such a little change it made all the difference in my day to see that my order status changed from paid to in progress
1255  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] BTC using paypal on: October 11, 2013, 09:19:14 PM
Hello.

I am new into bitcointalk.org, but i've been watching a lot of posts and how-tos regarding bitcoin.

I need to buy 2 BTC, but i can only pay via Paypal. I got it since 2009.

Regarding Paypal security, i have two ideas, as i'm new and untrusted =/ :

1) You create an Ebay item described: "Win the pleasure of receiving an email from me PLUS 2 BTC completely free". You, then, send an email to me (plus 2 BTC, of course). And done! You have your proof.

2) Create an Ebay item described: "Win the pleasure of hearing my voise throught skype for 5 seconds, bla bla bla plus 2 BTC completely free".

What do you think?

OF COURSE i will only buy from trusted people. You PM me your price.

Thanks in advance.

PS: Regardless all that steps, if you want, we can make a normal deal throught paypal. I'm not a scammer. I just want 2 BTC so i can do my business.

Good luck on that one.  Chargeback fraud has pretty much screwed you out of that opportunity forever.
1256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CEX.IO Has anyone used it? on: October 10, 2013, 05:13:16 AM
You're paying to lose coins in my opinion. I wouldn't throw my money in

What are your coins doing otherwise?  Its the first way I've seen to get a savings account out of hash power.  No fees for now so sellout for break even or try your luck and select, higher like 10% higher.  Yes playing the hash rate effectively amidst difficulty matters and you risk damaging your holdings possibly if you choose to ignore it for long periods of time so this is not so much a long term plan.  Bonus if you can use coin base to get a lot of has power on lease for essentially 60 dollars in fees but you gain coins!  Cex.io is nice as long as it stays fees free.

I WANT THIS! Posting just to get notifications ^_^

Hahahaaaa.  That's the whole idea.  My theory was that you can purposely design the worst coin on the planet with the worst name and it would outdo most "real" coins out there, thus proving that most of those coins with supposed real devs are then worse than shit.  Lol

Be honest....I said make a shitcoin in crypsty chat last week lol.  I'm mining it for giggles with a little throwaway hash power and will dump it if its ever on an exchange.  After 5 trillion I'll call it quits.
1259  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / what makes a hardware wallet better than a password secure smartphone? on: October 09, 2013, 05:13:36 AM
I'm looking at the trezor wallets, why are they better than the Android app (with bugs ironed out) and a password secured phone?

Let's take it further and presume your browsing habits are avoided on the same cellphone.  I don't see why those aren't just a waste of money and ultimately confusing to a casual bitcoin user.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 09, 2013, 05:06:44 AM
Exactly.... Engineers, not front line shipping managers.  Killing things compared to bfl and Avalon so far.  No reasons to really complain (yet)

The thing I really can't understand is why, with millions in hand in the bank, they didn't just hire a guy that was a logistics specialist? Short term contract, a few grand. That way they get to concentrate on the things they are expert on. Same for hosting. Save such a lot of hassle and learn for the future.

It really is a shame.  Especially when they said they knew time was everything in this business.  Somebody, somewhere cheapened out again.

Yes still way ahead of BFL but it is coming down to the wire now where one month delays are catastrophic.  We can't afford the type of delays BFL put us through anymore otherwise we should all just hang up our hats.  Things are going to get really ugly by November, December and beyond.

Agreed. People compare everything to BFL, but that's like saying Saddam was a good guy 'cos he didn't murder as many people are Hitler.

ding ding ding "we have a winner"....(or proof this conversation has gone on too long as per link below)
