I'd be willing to do a raffle like that instead of outright buying it.

That is such a beautiful Sax. I want it, but cannot play it, so its really a moot point for me to pull the trigger on it - make me a deal I can't afford to lose and I'll give in and buy it! (like maybe 2 BTC and I'd give it a new home)

LBC might work, but 50 BTC mined coins - yeah right, good luck on that one. You're looking at paying a premium or being lucky and finding someone who mined early on.

Dayum, can't believe you got jacked for 170 coins. No wonder you told them to F off when they tried to toss you some peanuts to make you 'go away'. Just curious but what made you want to play/invest with that many coins on HL?
Srsly?? why R U DOING THIS with THAT MUCH money?? No offense, EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO INVEST IN BITCOIN ALWAYS.... ALWAYS told, "Never invest more than you are willing to lose!" I am willing to lose, MAX, like 5-7 BTC in trading and exchange activities. Why were YOU willing to lose 170 BTC? What are you holding 2000 BTC or something? Is 170 BTC that little of your holdings to where you can just 'brush it off?' I mean, I've lost my own on stuff here and there - like my deposit on alpha-Technologies, but WOW...you sir, take the Cake. It's not even like you were doing something as a vendor on EVO and you lost your money, locked in escrow, with no hope. YOU HAD A CHANCE to NOT invest in this, but let greed prevail.

Sebastian please try not to quote Silverspoon/notlambchop/Crumbs. Most of us have him on ignore and would appreciate not seeing his verbal diarrhea.
@Chef Ramsay, I don't think it's realistic for havelock to reimburse investors. Afaik they don't have any obligation to do so, and I really doubt they could even if they tried. (probably don't even have enough btc to reimburse 1/10th of amhash holders)
Real/regulated exchanges like the NYSE don't reimburse investors when a scam listed on their exchange collapses, so why would havelock?
bolded, cause it's real, sadly.

Heyyo, Ive been around bitcoins for a while but it's still very confusing for me. Ive only managed to gain $.18 in BTC. Any way you guys know how to safely invest and gain, Or just gain?
Do you have a 'grind'? Like are you good at drawing? Good at writing? Good at Programming? Good at gaming? Your best way to earn bitcoin is just like earning cash - you can gain far more bitcoin by offering a good or service for it rather than trying to waste time on stuff like faucets, signature campaigns, HYIP (ponzi scams anyway), and Mining (which is very cost prohibitive and not profitable currently with the price environment) Otherwise, buying it outright is also effective if you already hold down a day-job. If you're simply looking for income, period, then consider looking for a remote based job that pays in bitcoin. My own blog shows jobs posted on craigslist.

The difficulty increase combined with the price drop has me turning off another batch of miners. How about you?
I turned off my mining rigs in december 2014. Now I only mine altcoins at launch, with cloud mining. how has that worked for you? Sometimes I think about giving it a go with alts, then I remember how I threw away .25 BTC worth of mining power back in 2014 for a day on some 21 coin and I could never sell it for anything worthwhile.

DON'T DO IT. Stolen Credit card to buy gift card credit - its super easy to use gyft to do this and simply to buy your wares with it for your BTC. Then Amazon turns around and comes knocking on your door with LEO. Difference between doing this and using something like purse.io is that purse will at least offer a fraud guarantee whereas you're just waiting to be caughtup and have your goods confiscated working with this person directly.
That's how this scam works - Also happens with purse.io apparently, but as I said, purse is nice enough to throw a guarantee out there so its like the risk is eliminated by working with them as a middle man, not to purse.io, but to you.

I know it is a little crazy and I do not anticipate anyone wanting to do it but I am looking to trade a 2008 MB C300 for BTC miners. I am going to sell the car later this week but wanted to give this a shot first. I have more cars than miners and want to change that around. The car has 69k miles and has an extended warranty up to 75k miles. It runs great and is in good condition. I will upload additional pics this evening. It is pretty dirty in these pics but the weather is nice so I am going to wash it today. Clean Title in hand. Ok SOLD, I've got over 70 BTC Asics miners.... 70 Block Erupters avalon Batch 2 Knc Mercury Bitfury Full Kit 2 FPGA Miners Gridseed Blade

Soooooo you paid full price and now you're trying to minimize your losses? Good luck!

here is probably the wrong place, try selling it on /r/bitmarket.

Probably only if my life depended on it or something. Threatening my family or friends won't work though, nor would hurting me.
But if the price reaches like $100k without the $ dropping in value too much, then I'd sell some.
Ugh You beat me to it with the "if my life depended on it" quip. Stealing this one from reddit: "... I were given the gift of Omnipotence in Perpetuity as a reward for selling them. " I know a bit too greedy right??? Okay how about this one: "...Satoshi Nakamoto told me to as a Forewarning (the real one with a signed transaction from a 2010 BTC Address, Not Dorian S.). " Or Even this one: "...I were given a 1000BTC loaded and spendable Cassacious coin."

Just usual trolling guys to keep you in perspective, analyzing block after block or even day after day has no value. This is not like checking factory output where any change has its reason, finding blocks is random process within some rules. There maybe absolutely no hashrate change behind +/-2% difficulty change, it's just the blocks finding probability.
I read this a second time and lets say it is all variance . (+/-) 1 or 2 percent. Even better info then you realize we can now spec is it variance or is it ddos or is simple btc price to diff ratio. or is it s-3's still make money at low power locations and people are shifting gear rather then buying gear. In the s-3 case I live in Northern Cali. power is 25 cents. I ship 20 s-3's to a guy in washington state. I give 12 to him for free. And he hosts my other 8 for free. He makes money since his power is 3-4 cents. I make out since my s-3 's were worth zip in northern cali. there is 50ph in s-3's they are tanks and they are keeping growth down as they more to low cost power spots and are done in a barter move like I describe above. Phil I am right with you. I was trying to find someone up in WA area to give miners to and split profit with but had no luck finding anyone I could trust. LOL you're not Dave Carlson Right (joking) What hardware are you running? I know a diff. guy in your exact same situation with a full facility but NO capacity for other hardware that he has sitting on shelf.

geez i dont even mine anymore but that sounds tempting (although probably not ROI worthy)

okay perfect, I'll buy them using gyft and charge you an extra 2%, everybody wins!
edit: I need you to send BTC first, I'm trustworthy!

Does anyone know the latest on this? If there's going to be a trial or a plea-bargain or whatever? I would have expected that Burt W would have been out on bail by now even if he was arrested. I mean, why the radio silence?
He's out and was released a few days after initial detainment as per mentioned on the FBOP website. He cannot discuss matters about it, just like how Mark Karpeles is not allowed to disclose full details and we're not allowed to know full details regarding Karpeles link to DPR and SR. I'm siding with Kevin on this one in that Burt was likely caught in an entrapment scheme by the government. Just because I keep Cash on hand to take advantage of bitcoin speculations doesn't give uncle sam the right to 'civil forfeiture' my stuff I'm pretty sure the law is getting hung up on the fact that he transacted more than 10K at one time AND it was with a federal agent AND he had more liquid (cash reserve) at home to procure more BTC. It's really screwed up, I've never heard of a goldbug or silverbug who got arrested for buying and selling up a bunch o gold. Seems like Gov't would have threw that out there on his arraignment charges if drugs HAD been involved. Its only unlicensed money transmission.
