Hello Guys and Gals,

I had no ideas of where to place this because, I don't have a cooking blog :p

2 packages of Little Debbie Chocolate Chip cookie sandwiches (usually cost about $1.50 a peice)
1 package of Breyers Heath Bar mixed in ice cream.

Directions:  Take spoon and firmly, but gradually split the cookie sandwich open - keeping the frosting there is optional.  Take 2 reasonable heaps (should be at least 1.5 times but no larger than 3 times) and either place them on each cookie half, if you prefer to each your sandwich open faced, or smoosh them, firmly together, but not so firmly that you squeeze the sugary goodness away from them.

bonus, protip - if you're done with the ice cream, put it away, lick the bottom of the spoon, and use that to press the ice cream along the perimeter so it fills in your its it very nicely.  Not Truly genuine to the original for you stifflers, but VERY good.  Please enjoy everyone! and stay cool!  Unless you're in the southern hemisphere, then stay WARM!  Cheers guys Smiley

323  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hitler was right. on: July 07, 2015, 04:01:11 AM
Hitler was right about many things but offered nothing but very evil solutions.  Time was not something he had.  I don't think he wanted to even think of a soultion that wouldn't occur during his lifetime so he couldn't take credit for it.

How is killing evil evil? Evil deserves to die. Even God commands genocide of the Amalekites in the bible.

The Amalekites were hook-nosed devils, many of whom now call themselves Jews. Why do you think the nose is missing from the Sphinx? There are genetic markings that define evil. The hook-nose on 80% of the world's Jews is the most common marking of evil.

It is time we stop ignoring obvious realities. The world is going to hell, and Bitcoins aren't going to change anything.

There is only one solution to the world of usury we find ourselves in today: The Final Solution.

your contradiction is as ripe as that myth you call God.

324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 30, 2015, 01:15:32 AM
I don't really 'recommend' bitcoin to friends unless it seems to solve a problem they have.  I've found that when I tell people to learn about bitcoin then proceed to do the full depth explanation that it becomes a sales pitch instead of me giving my opinions about a technology that I use in my social and professional life.

I think my most unique experience ever happened about a year ago when I was talking to a person at random and told them that I was into BTC.  They were like "Really!?!  I just heard about it today and wanted to look into it a bit more!  Could you talk about how people make it!"  That totally made my day.

Also, don't use Vanity Gen, vanity addresses of any kind nor mini addresses/mini private keys - those are uncommon formats that are not normally supported in the reference core client.

It is supported. Looking at your post, it seems to me that you don't know about vanitygen. Please do your research before posting. Thank you! Smiley

OP used a vanity address which was *generated* by an anonymous person. That is, that person most probably has control over private keys of all the addresses generated through BitcoinVanitygen.com. To avoid this, you can either generate one yourself(in a secure computer) or use split-key generation.

Fair enough - but my feelings still remain about generating a vanity address to hold and share with others for bitcoin payments.  I hastily put vanity generated addresses in there but you're right they're fully compatible as it's just a private key.

I wasn't sure what the best way to share this was, so I placed a link onto reddit and am going to share a snippet to read through here.  If you like what you've read or are interested in more of the story, I've included the full story link to read more, thank you for your time  Smiley

Use their [Cryptsy Freshdesk] support portal, otherwise communication is one way!

Keep yourself Logged into cryptsy once every few months if necessary - To keep them as a very low cost option for holding investments in altcoins.  Don't hold your entire cache of coins on Cryptsy
329  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any faucets created with AngularJS? on: June 20, 2015, 05:51:49 PM
Ask why use angular? -> you would probably want to create a new age sort of faucet - one with a game attached that gives away satoshis based on the high score...turn it around and deliver ad content within the frame on the same window.  That's a method to use Angular in a different way that acts as a faucet.

Probably use Node.js in conjunction with angular so you can have an end to end js solution.  I've not built a faucet myself but I have enough of an idea of how everything together works:

User sets aside a budget  that they can earn/give away through ads vs satoshis donated.

Set up a page with the ad content as well as a captcha and an input field -

Using your DB (php would have likely used mysql, you could probably get away with a flat file implementation using redis) you would run a stored procedure to a) check if account exists based on wallet address - then depending on your method - you either run a tallied balance on the users wallet balance - probably through instantiating a session cookie which saves the entered wallet address - so that each time your user clicks - pay, their balance increases incrementally on your end, but you're not actually paying anything, just accumulating a payout balance.  When the user clicks withdraw, your implementation has a 2nd stored procedure that checks the balance available on the users account, the available balance via bitcoind rpc call and then fires the payout transaction, 1 time, to the address stored on the account record in the db.  If you're using the manual quick and dirty method - you just payout 0 fee transactions, immediately, on pay.  I say quick/dirty, because those are dust transactions and if a users accumulates several of these transactions, they may be unable to spend the earned BTC due to trx size (larger than 1.2 KB)

Angular is definitely a Front End Framework and would be great for presenting realtime data or perhaps for working w/ websockets to give realtime info on the network and perhaps integrate that into an entertainment form factor.
330  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitcoinVanitygen.com - Big Scammer on: June 20, 2015, 05:41:33 PM
its 2015 - people were talking down on vanity addresses back in 2011....why on earth would you ever want one?  IDK you gave no details on the vanity address nor the transaction which took the funds, nor the address where the funds ended up...that's not reasonable to throw a scam claim out there like that without ALSO providing evidence as well.  I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm saying prove it happened.

Also, don't use Vanity Gen, vanity addresses of any kind nor mini addresses/mini private keys - those are uncommon formats that are not normally supported in the reference core client.
331  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be aware of cryptsy scam on: June 20, 2015, 10:30:09 AM
did OP attempt to use their actual ticketing system and NOT reply directly back to the emails?  I had the same problems until I responded to the tickets in their support portal rather than replying to the emails - I think they don't see email replies back and so it gets lost in the stack.

334  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Hacked but would like to know what happened on: June 10, 2015, 02:43:11 PM
Hello all,

So for a while I had been away and came back to find a wallet emptied. You can see how quickly it happened here:
http://106.187.103.143/address/1LNFx7QQkpmam9jLjpyd52QqiVfahix9gQ

I move some Bitcoin in. 20 minutes later is off to Germany (I assume a VPN, etc.). I see it then splits off to a bunch of wallets. I then see it goes on a bit of a journey of fragmentation.

OK, I am no fool. It is lost. However, is there any way for me to at least understand the nature of such an attack. To your eyes is this some lone wolf or something more sophisticated.

Frankly I think this means I am done with Bitcoin. I've been super safe for years, but then in 20 minutes someone manages to relieve me of roughly 500e in Bitcoin.

I use electrum.

The computer with your private key is compromised. Period.

If you are not using offline wallet function of Electrum, you are not super safe.

Cheers, I expected as much. Ugh. But yes, it is the only way they could do it right? They would not even have needed the private key, but simple a RAT to execute the transaction. Lesson learned.

So you paid 500e to learn that your machine is compromised. Not a bad deal if you could afford it.

I don't think it was lost - sounds like OP has the money but its in a changeaddress that isn't being shown by electrum.  curious to know if he got it resolved!  I think he did and moved on without updating the post.
335  Other / Off-topic / Would you rather use to spread bitcoin awareness in the real world? on: June 08, 2015, 06:22:41 AM
Sure, call it a shameless plug.  I'd really like some feedback from the community here as to whether or not you think any of these goods are effective ways to cause icebreaker conversations involving BTC

From my own preliminary observations, I've seen a few people from time and what they observe.  For me, I've only been asked 1 time in the last two years "is that a bitcoin sticker" on my window. I don't know if its effective or not.  I've seen the elderly will glance at my bumper stickers in passing but that most middle aged and younger folks don't bat an eyelash - keep in mind I don't really see how often or observe people passing by my car at all times to confirm this, just my sliver of examples of walking towards my car with groceries and seeing others pass by.

I've made this a self moderated thread to keep us civil and on topic.  I'm genuinely interested in whether or not any of these work and feedback regarding my wares if you would be so kind as to provide some.

Yes a few of my items are procured from btc trinkets from over a year ago but he is aware that I am selling them here and elsewhere so that's not a problem.
336  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-06-05] HBOM: Brooklyn Man Robbed for $1100 of BTC - Let's Help Him! on: June 05, 2015, 10:31:22 PM

According to the story, this man reached the destination, where a person (perhaps 19 years old or so) had persuaded our victim to finalize the transaction in the car (a silver honda accord).  At that point, the victim went to the car and was held up by another man and threatened at gunpoint to transfer about 1100 dollars worth of bitcoin to the robbers.  They also had taken his cell phone as well.

1- what brand physical coin is the BTC address of?

Also your friend can sign a message from any address that the account has posted from in the past on an unedited post, or from an address send in a PM.

Cassassius Bearer Bar

edit: also, I'll let him know, looking through his posting history now to see - he's been around since 2010 so there's BOUND to be something there :/
338  Other / Meta / friend/member locked out of account on: June 01, 2015, 02:34:48 AM
So someone I know messaged me on IRC.

1)  Their btc address here is linked to a walled sealed on a physical coin in a safe deposit box.

2) the password recovery email system does not recognize their email address and says the username is locked

3) they changed the email address associated w/ the account a few days ago so they cannot receive the reset link anyway

4) They entered in the security phrase, but it does not appear to work correctly as intended.

5) auto-complete destroyed password data so old password no longer works.

Any ideas?
