1161  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 06, 2014, 07:53:45 PM
The only thing I have done is expressed my negative experience with them publicly.

How did they get your personal info if you are not a customer?
1162  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 06, 2014, 07:43:56 PM
This is an attempt to extort me into removing my feedback. I will not fold here BA, I am holding Aces.

Why are they so worried about their one user "BlackArrow"'s user feedback on bitcointalk?

Because BA cares so much I finally decided to take the time to give them some honest feedback.
1163  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 480 GH/s Technobit HEX4M on: August 06, 2014, 04:50:46 PM
http://technobit.eu/index.php?id_product=83&controller=product&id_lang=1

This includes the chips + assembly service.

The chips have yet to be assembled so it's not shipping immediately and I will only be transferring the order.

The miner will be shipped directly from technobit (you will have to pay them for shipping).

Asking $335.
1164  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BTCGarden 307GH/s 1.05w/gh (Includes everything) on: August 06, 2014, 02:55:54 AM
Would you be willing to sell without thew pi? Can it run on a standard cgminer? I am interested. I am in the Netherlands. Please PM me with a quote including shipping. Thanks.

I can sell it without the rPi but it requires one. It uses cgminer but cannot be used on a PC/mac.

Let me know if you're still interested.

How did I know that this "advertising company" would be created/operated by the grandpuppetmaster himself?

MP needs to keep inventing companies to make it seem like his exchange has some sort of value because no real company would even consider listing there.

When will you guys catch on?
1166  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: XBTec Announce. New ASIC manufacturer. on: August 04, 2014, 06:35:12 PM
Plus, if they are selling email addresses, who is to say that they aren't selling names, addresses, credit card numbers, date of birth, etc...

This is a real safety concern for individuals who have ordered through them.

Are you suggesting CardReaderFactory could be intentionally helping people illegally obtain personal information? Those upstanding individuals would never do something like that.
1167  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: XBTec Announce. New ASIC manufacturer. on: August 04, 2014, 06:05:43 PM
who gives a hoot where they got the list? It is not relevant for anyone except bobsag3, who is a BA distributor and therefore might care.

I'm a minersource customer and I've received no email so it must have been only BA's database. I think bobsag should be demanding BA explain how their customers information was leaked/sold/stolen.
1168  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low GTX 750 MHash/s rates what am I dong wrong? on: August 04, 2014, 05:52:58 PM
Ok so here is my issue I am using an Nvidia GTX 750 I started mining last night and I was getting around 95 MHash/s. Today i got a driver update and now my rate has dropped to 60 MHash/s, after some research I found that my rates should be higher what am I doing wrong to make my rates drop like this?

You're trying to mine bitcoins with a video card. That's what you're doing wrong.
1169  Economy / Securities / Re: MPEx securities discussion thread on: August 04, 2014, 05:10:35 PM
If you're going to conveniently ignore the several elephants in the room what's the point of having a discussion?

I honestly want to know what could possibly justify a trading licence that is 30 million times more expensive than the NYSE.

Seems like you've drank the koolaid and there's no turning back.

Do you have any other arguments besides the 30 btc registration? I already addressed that: I use a broker, I have never paid a 30 btc fee to trade.

What you call a broker is just some guy who paid the 30btc and made a website in a few hours. I can't even find any contact information like a name or business address. Do you know where I can find it?

Why do you refuse to acknowledge the fact that the registration fees are nothing more than a money making scheme. The exchange has no revenue other than from new recruits which is the definition of a ponzi.

Quote
A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the operator. Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. The perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to sustain the scheme.

Probably took it while they were still under contract as resellers. Either way, I will be pursuing all the parties involved to the fullest extent of the law.

Seems like a massive waste of your time.

The way I see it is either BA did sell them the list and lied to you about it (which would be typical of BA) or they had an insecure DB which was compromised.

Either way, why don't you instead persue BA for scamming your customers out of thousands?

I find it a bit strange/suspicious that BA can pull all kinds of shit and you let it fly but as soon as xbtec sends out a mass email you demand justice.

Price lowered.

Also willing to price match any asic that is $300 or less.
1173  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive HashRatio Tsunami Setup [HD] on: August 04, 2014, 02:06:05 AM
Who is AM ?

Asicminer, the company that makes the chips and opensourced this design.
1174  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive HashRatio Tsunami Setup [HD] on: August 04, 2014, 01:59:03 AM
Get 6th/s into this power package and now were talking Wink

That would weight ~40KG!

True... I think in terms of hashing though they would go after spondoolies at this point and not bitmain.

I can't make out the chinese on the page, so who knows how much this thing goes for?

Why would anyone want to buy from Spondoolies after their massive failure? (and failure to compensate adequately)

Everyone knows shipping from China is dirt cheap. It would cost ~$200 to ship 40kgs. How much does Spondoolies charge for shipping per KG? IIRC they charge something ridiculous like $400 per sp30.

You would have to be insane to purchase an sp30 for almost $1/gh shipping in 2 months when you could get an s3 for $0.9/gh shipped in days.

Hashratio is more focused on large scale buyers (10+ units) and their site is pretty useless.

AM will begin selling this exact model (maybe upgraded?) for less than $0.65/gh.

From the latest MPEx report, F.DERP should finally be listed this month. There is also an upcoming listing of an advertising network.

Are we supposed to care about the ponzi listings and an advertising network that will no doubt be invented/ran by MP?

Quote
Oh, and MPEx made a bunch of money, most of it from new signups. The low trading volume is probably due to the week they were offline rebuilding their servers.

Is anyone surprised that the referral scheme is still the main source of revenue? And no, the incredibly low trading volume has persisted since mpex was invented.

Serious question: Why do you insist on using the joke/scam which is Mpex? If all Mpex does is pretend to be the NYSE, then why not just use the NYSE?

How can you suggest it's a good idea to use a sketchy exchange which charges 30 million times as much as the NYSE for a trading license to trade practically zero stocks?

Or was I right that this thread is just a way to advertise your referral links?
1176  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BTCGarden 307GH/s 1.05w/gh (Includes everything) on: August 03, 2014, 03:11:49 AM
Simple fact is, you're competing with S3's out there and if you can't beat that, I'm out.

Just because you have that PSU you're selling, doesn't mean it's required to run that machine. That's your mistake not mine. They sell the RPI and machine together for $340, I think I'll look there if i wanted that machine.

For most people, yes the s3 is the best deal. However this is for people with cheap/free electricity who want a dead silent miner.

The s3s ship in 5 days and minimum order is 2 units ($800) which isn't exactly a low starting point.

The rPi makes the miner a bit more expensive but also doesn't depreciate like proprietary controllers do.

I'm offering the psu for people who want it. I can lower the price by $50 if someone wants it without the psu.

Also btcgarden no longer sells the 2 blade models. 4 is the minimum now.
1177  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BTCGarden 307GH/s 1.05w/gh (Includes everything) on: August 03, 2014, 02:50:35 AM
So you're really only giving about $40 off a brand new miner from their site?

Unless you'll take $300 shipped,  I think I'll pass. That psu you have isn't even required, In fact the $50 psu is over priced, and your shipping would just kill the deal.

Maybe my numbers were a bit off on the S3, but the ROI is still better and that was my original point. Your price point would need to be lower to make this worth my while.

$40 off for a practically new miner and 2 silent fans.

How is $50 for a gold rated 500w psu overpriced? This psu sells for $85 new.

There is no way I can do $300. The psu and rPi are worth ~$100 and ~$40 for shipping which would mean I'd be selling the miner for $160.
1178  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BTCGarden 307GH/s 1.05w/gh (Includes everything) on: August 03, 2014, 02:01:50 AM
You realize that for the price you're asking you can get a S3 batch 5 and psu?

Not trying to rain on your parade here, just wondering if you would take offers?

S3 is ~$400 + $50 for psu.

I'm asking $250 for the miner (which includes $20 worth of fans), $50 for the rPi + SD card, and $50 for the psu.

I'm open to offers but I think this is a fair deal.
1179  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Phoenix Technologies - Another ASIC pre-order scam? on: August 02, 2014, 10:52:34 PM
We've all been scammed once or twice.

You just look cheap asking us to pay for your failure to do due diligence and playing the victim card.

PS: if anyones giving money to "victims" ill gladly accept your money for doing nothing.

Not sure if this has already been posted but I think this is the official twitter for asicminer: https://twitter.com/ASICMinerANN

Interesting part:

Is there an english feed?

Not that I know of. Google translator works well enough though.
