Paycoin is on track, you all know it, you're just pissing your pants because you missed an opportunity. Better luck next year!

On track? What ever happened to launching with a $20/coin floor? Or the most merchant adoption in history? Or any of the features included in the whitepaper?

The coin is currently valued at less than half the advertised price. Surely the rocket has yet to take off so what are we missing again?
442  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies-Tech SP20 on: December 26, 2014, 05:46:25 AM
Not sure how did you connect the new fan?
I don't see any screws.
Is the fan latched on existing structure or did you remove the existing fan-picture is not clear.

The stock fan was removed and the Cooler Master is attached with screws on the inside. (Top two only)
443  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Closed] Legendaries review party of Spondoolies-Tech's SP20 on: December 26, 2014, 05:10:35 AM
As much as I like the sp20 it would be too noisy in his office.

The noise doesn't have to be an issue. See my thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=897053.msg9931911#msg9931911

Is that really all you have to say about that entire story Cheesy

That's just it, it's just a fcking story. YOUR story. A bunch of strung together anecdotes that's somehow supposed to convince me that my experience with them never happened?  Nope, sorry.

I had zero trouble with them delivering hardware.. The ONLY company I can actually say that about. I bought hashlets soon after they came out, but not on day one. I ROI'd in 2 months. GAW then allowed Zen to mine hash points... And although not worth anything but a promise, I converted to mine them anyways. After all, my original investment was already earned, so I was playing with house money.

I accumulated close to a million hash points, good for 2000+ paycoins. Also, my Zens converted to 6 month hash stakers, a $21 product. So now I am left with a boatload of paycoin, staking, earning me MORE paycoin every day (about 9 XPY per day), plus my original BTC and LTC back (plus more). So now, after being in Crypto mining for 2.5 years abs finally mashing the returns that baby promised, you want me to go bad mouth GAW? WTF? No, sorry.

Logic is completely lost with you isn't it?

Nobody is trying to convince you that your experience didn't happen, but that your rare experience wasn't the only one that happened.

Every bit of profit you made came from the losses of someone who didn't pay GAW's game successfully. You are clearly playing the game correctly by investing in any new scheme without thinking about it. You just better hope that GAW's next scheme doesn't start before your cashtakers expire or you'll be left holding a bag like all the other GAW victims.

Also about GAW delivering hardware with no problems, I take it you're not a vaultbreaker customer?
445  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 24, 2014, 08:34:00 AM
Ultimately they should just sell chips. But who's buying. AMHash? I'd be pretty happy if they self mine for a while. Divs are really sorely missed

Why would AMHash be buying? They are ASICMiner.
Yeah that is the confusing part of this. Seems like AM shareholders are getting the shaft so that AM can sell hash rate to new customers. How is AM supposed to turn a profit that will reach thier original backers?
When will we see a financial breakdown of how this is supposed to work? When will we see any financials?
Maybe FC and Rockxie want to make ANOTHER umbrella company to send all profits from amhash to? Why pay investors when you can re sell what you already sold them to someone else?
Please tell me I am way off here and prove me wrong...

You are way off.

AMhash is not an umbrella company, it's just a vehicle for selling hardware.

Paycoin.....$16 to $12 means its a scam and everyone's dumping.
Bitcoin......$1500 to $329 means its a buying opportunity and going to the moon.

LOL. Funny ass sh*t.

What planet do you live on?

GAW promised OVER AND OVER that paycoin would be worth $20. That promise is the only reason 99% of people bought into this shitcoin.

Satoshi Nakamoto never promised that bitcoins would be worth anything and the btc exchange rate never went up to $1500, but I don't expect a cryptonoob like yourself to know that.

You and I have different ideas on the word "asset".  Liability more like it. Unless of course the goal was to LOSE value. Then yeah, its awesome!  Thumbs up!

Is your definition of the word asset at all related to the actual definition?

You seem to not understand how free markets work. There's no asset on the planet that is guaranteed to appreciate. (contrary to what hashcultists believe)
448  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 24, 2014, 07:16:28 AM
Shhhh....if the coin hasn't lost 80% of its value in a year and isn't named Bitcoin, then here on this forum its considered a scam!  LOL

Nobody has a problem with dogecoin, blackcoin, NXT, counterparty, etc. The reason is because those coins are trying to create value via innovation.

GAW is trying to create value by employing every manipulative sales tactic and every get rich quick scheme known to man.
449  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 24, 2014, 07:12:11 AM
I'm not involved in GAW at all, thankfully. But as an outsider looking...this whole thing from haslets to primes to Zens to paycoins is a fiasco. All I see is a hype machine preying on people who came too late to bitcoin mine.  They have the "get rich quick bug" that we have all dealt with.  Maybe a very few early adopters made some coin. But like all schemes, it quickly unravels and the masses pay the price.
I could be wrong. But the whole thing just has a bad odor about it.

I couldn't agree more. I have felt that way since the beginning as well. Well said.  Cool

Had my fun with early BTC mining. Key word "hype"

The problem with your views are that almost everyone that has invested in GAW is way ahead now.   GAW keeps changing the game and that is frustrating to some, but it is working.   I wasn't sold at all on the hashstakers, but they are actually working out pretty well.   This just keeps happening with GAW.

The problem with that statement is that it's not true at all.

GAW has no real revenue streams. They've admitted several times now that mining is unprofitable for them. (even after spending $8m on the worlds most advanced pool)

With no real revenue streams, 100% of GAW's money comes from investors. That means if you made a profit, someone else made a loss. The only reason some people were able to play GAW's games and made money, was because other people played their games and lost. This is the nature of a Garza scheme.

To win GAW's games you just need to understand it's a scam that is always shapeshifting into the latest and greatest profit making scheme. If you stuck with any of the old schemes with hopes that it will payout decent returns again, you lost.

So, like Bitcoin in other words?

No. Bitcoin is a decentralized asset secured by cryptography.

Paycoin/GAW is an ever shapeshifting get rich quick scheme created and distributed by one guy.

Update:

Could never get the fan settings to change (SSH didn't work either) but I think I found a better solution by just changing the fan.

First I tried a 1W Noctua fan but it was struggling to keep it cool. The miner had to throttle the hashrate even below 900 GH/s.

Then I tried an old Cooler Master fan I had lying around and found it works perfectly.

Here are my testing results:

edit: Just remembered the CM fan is running on 5V not 12V so it should be around 2W.

As you can see, at ~5 meters away from the miner, you can just barely hear it. Now it sounds like your average desktop PC instead of your average leaf blower.

It's been running stable for 24 hours now at ~1105 GH/s.

454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 22, 2014, 10:52:28 AM
Just lost all my respect CoinMarketcap. shouldn't of been strong armed with how you calculated paycoins market cap

I'm also disappointed.

It's widely known by now that the creator is a pathological bullshitter who makes up huge claims purely for sales. Everything they do/claim is a marketing ploy that always fails to materialize.

There are no investors who bought 4.8m paycoins for $100m and and there aren't 7.2m coins distributed to customers.

Most likely likely 50-500k coins have been distributed to customers and the rest is owned by GAW.

11.5 million coins haven't even been moved since being premined.

Take a look at the block explorer. Much more coins have been moved around than you little liar want to tell us.
If you try to fool people like coinmarketcap does, do it less obviously.

Why don't you try looking at the blockchain?

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xpy/#!rich

11.5 million coins were last moved 7 days 5 hours ago which is a few hours after mining began.

There are only 6 investors holding prime controllers (including GAW) so I think it's safe to say that the 11.5m coins, which haven't moved after being "distributed to investors", are out of circulation.

I also think it's extremely unlikely that any of those 11.5m coins are not under GAW's control.

Right. I would be willing to bet that Canary is going to be removed from level 1 default trust in the near future if he keeps up his behavior. This whole fiasco makes me weary of potentially investing in AM hash and would even make me willing to bet that they will end up scamming in the future

Let me get this straight, you think AM is going to scam people in the future because of the actions of people who are not even part of the company?

And you think that lack of evidence of legitimacy is not evidence of a scam, yet you're willing to bet a company with transparency and proof of legitimacy is a scam?

Seems to me you don't have actual concerns, but more of a personal axe to grind.

Regarding Cnn, CCN.  I am sorry did Josh ever say CNN?  I am not being sarcastic, I am asking.
I also don't like the site itself CCN as of course they picked the name to throw people off some, but like any blog I read it with a grain of salt.  Sadly with today's big media quality I would argue they are no worse then CNN, Wallstreet etc as most media reports for headlines and page views not for content and investigative reporting.

Update: All interviews are done (CNN, WSJ, Fortune Magazine, Venture). They do not tell us specific dates and times (for whatever reason) so now we wait. I should know they day it goes out. Personally, I think the first one will be the WSJ. We will definitely see some Monday Smiley

https://hashtalk.org/topic/18452/hashcoin-ico-media-tour-update

See now that is helpful and I don't doubt the validity.  This could be used as some of the proof people pretend to have.  This could be entry one.

Just you will need to take it down later if those articles do come out in the future.

It's been more than a month now and all we've seen is a bunch of paid-to-spam press releases and a variety of interviews with bloggers.

People don't pretend to have proof, it's just most people don't feel like digging through 400 pages to find it.

this may help your fan setting - goxed managed to find a way to change it by ssh into it, if your GUI settings don't change the fan, this will.

Thanks. Will definitely be trying this.

Funny how you equate "looking at other threads" with "look away from all forums on the internet".  ROFL.

I find it more sad than anything. There's only one place on the internet where GAW has majority support and that's their own tightly controlled forum where any criticism is silently removed.
