Exchange is working fine? Or is there still a problem?

Does "working fine" include losing coins due to software crashes reported by multiple users here? If not then fuck no, it is not working fine.

I have 30 GH coming later this week that will go on the pool. Not a lot but its something...

A bit delayed but 20 GH of that is on the pool now. I have another 70 GH on the way.

I think all the exchanges have been flooded with new users that they can't even handle it.   I'm sure the backlog of emails is overwhelming.

Bullshit. The "backlog of emails" is not an excuse when my emails to them are market "urgent" and refer to BTC missing due to a crash in their software (same as Dmitri). They never respond, and have zero support.  Do not use this site until they resolve these issues.

Cryptsy, btw, is a bit lagged on processing transactions (which is something that is understandable due to rapid growth) but has excellent support.

I went ahead and placed an order for one of these:
http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-3.html

Best part is that it adds 2TH/s and 0 debt.

Nice!

With BFL possibly delayed and CoinTerra not having shipped their first batch yet, I am getting a bit antsy.  I was hoping that KnC would have allowed us to order their next get rig, but by refusing to take orders from new customers, that puts us in a wait for the end of the line with them.  For that reason, I'm considering placing an order for this:
http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-3.html

I've cashed out our alt coins and donated around 1/2 the funds to our holdings address to help repay debt.  The other 1/2 I currently have sitting in USD.  I was planning to wait for an LTC ASIC to become available, but I think we could have enough funds to place an order with Black Arrow and still be able to afford an LTC ASIC without taking on any more debt.  Thoughts?
The numbers seem to crunch well provided it is delivered on time. http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/b550be5d33

90c/kWh?

oops, thanks for catching that. should be .09 c/kWh   http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/0fc5f57e7f  I'm not sure what Nasty's rate is but it's likely higher than .09 but lower than .9

Also you can't really assume a start to mining in February because the posted ship date is "at the end of February." If you change the start to March it still looks good but not as good: http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/e28a984f25
13946  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase withdrawal delays thread [Please add ACH delay reports to this thread] on: December 05, 2013, 11:24:15 AM
I have one due tomorrow, will report.

EDIT: It is actually due Thursday.

Hit my account right around midnight (Wednesday to Thursday).  Hard to be any more on time than that!

I like the hardware but with all pre-orders delivery is everything.

If there is dispute about minted seat ownership the voting rights for that seat are suspended and I will fix a appropriate payout threshold for that seat.

You could resolve this by having the coin sent to you with ownership information and a return address.

I think there are many possibilities to resolve disputes. The policy only concerned about president rights to suspend voting rights. This is a important tool until disputes are resolved.

I actually don't think there are many other possibilities, if the intent is that the seats can be transferred physically by transferring the coin, and the rest would be similar such as having a trusted local representative verify possession of the coin. The only other way would be to pull the seal, which is obviously undesirable.

If the intent is that ownership of the seats not be transferred by physically transferring the coins, that should be explained clearly to coin owners/buyers.

He who holds the coin owns it.  They can be transferred as easy as handing them to someone else.  The only issue is if people buy them second hand and want to control the vote of the coin on future polls.  In that case, we have to be notified.  I'd recommend buying the coin directly from NastyFans.org if you care to control the vote, or make sure the original coin buyer lets us know the coin has been transferred.  It really isn't something you need to be concerned with.

Well like I said if someone has a coin without a vote (maybe they bought it at a thrift store or something), they can send the coin to you, you can record ownership and send it back. Maybe you charge a small fee for this service?

I don't even care about the price. Bter is such a joke its pretty much like having no exchange at all. After they stole 0.5 BTC from me I'm not using it.
13952  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Serious qestions about CEX.io and other cloud mining services on: December 04, 2013, 09:40:28 AM
What are some viable, reputable alternatives to CEX?

I would look at some of the group buys where they host the machines for you, and you get a share of the hash. I have a few shares with DZ.

Well i got my coin back today, finally, in the mean time i lost 50%, and stood to make a handsome 30% on the day through ARB,  so no ARB between BTER and cryptsy for me, cant risk this.

when u sent the first email requesting your balance?

I don't know about him but I sent an email when it first happened, four days ago. I've sent another one each day, just being polite and asking for assistance. No replies to any of my emails.

I did a withdrawal on December 1 for 0.5 BTC and I got a "database connection error. We are already aware of this problem you need not report it." (Might be paraphrasing the second part a bit, but that was the gist of it.) The BTC are missing from my account, and were never sent. The only support contact I can find for them is email to support@bter.com which they never answer.
13957  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bter.com withdrawal code problems on: December 04, 2013, 12:53:09 AM
Hi, everybody!

I've been trying to withdraw BTC from bter.com and was unable to do it. Everytime I write in the verification code, is shows invalid, though I've tried to do this like 20 times already. Anyone has the same problem? I've also sent a letter to support, waiting for answer. Smiley

You may be lucky it only failed like that for you. I did a withdrawal on December 1 for 0.5 BTC and I got a "database connection error. We are already aware of this problem you need not report it." (Might be paraphrasing the second part a bit, but that was the gist of it.) The BTC are missing from my account, and were never sent. That site is complete crap, if not dishonest (and I don't rule that out) then certainly incompetent and dangerous to use.

It seems that these unique addresses will be a pile of dust tx?

I see that some fans are unhappy with donation distribution method. I work to create payout threshold setting. This setting will be valid for all seats including minted seats.

How is that going to work? Are the minted seats transferrable? How will the new owner log in to adjust the payouts?

Maybe the best thing to do is just for TPTB to set some reasonable (relative to transaction fees) payout threshold for all the minted seats.
13959  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: December 03, 2013, 06:27:19 AM
How are the dividends going to work for the coins? They're rapidly approaching (if not already) dust status for individual seats. I don't really see how you can do a web interface to control payouts with the coins.
