I haven't tried it yet, but even the Pro Package would last like 3 days only with 10GB of bandwidth in a medium webserver. Who is your target audience in this?

Lol, it's very funny how much this thread has gone through since I last posted.
1663  Economy / Services / Re: selling cheap VPS for BTC or Paypal - Unlimited Bandwidth Virtual Private server on: September 18, 2013, 02:07:32 AM
These are very cheap. But, it does seem paying in Bitcoin is costing more.
Indeed, the incentive in using BTC instead of PP is no longer there. Even with the PP fee included it still costs less.

ATM, it seems to be cheaper to convert to USD and then pay you. Any specific reason why? Or are those the original prices?
1665  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPS hosting & Webhosting evalutation thread‏. Evaluate your host here! on: September 17, 2013, 01:53:31 AM
I mean in the thread. What is the problem of having it in the sig? Other providers posting here do as well. He isn't using this thread to his advantage in any way. His service is not listed in the OP or given any reputation or such.

Its impossible for me to promote my webhost because the way i have this thread setup is that this thread is a member ran thread. The only thing i am doing is putting the information posted here in this thread in the main post with a direct link to the member that said such statement. So that the people can use it as a reference when buying my hosting. I  also took the time to pm all hosting providers i know on bitcointalk to tell them about this thread and to get other bitcoin members to add reputation to it to help members choose a decent host.

Now i would understand if i had my webhost listed on this thread which i don't. I have my signature but my signature is my personal space that i use across the whole forum.

Just what I meant.

You might want to take a look at this thread... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39251.0
You might not.

That thread is an obvious conflict of interests.

The thread creator sells VPSes and complains about another VPSes

Sure there may be reasons to bash another VPSes but clearly a conflict of interest issue.
Answered to this in here.

Indeed this thread is clearly a conflict of interests.

One company running a thread about themselves and other companies ... and down promoting one of those other companies ...

Doesn't matter if you are right or wrong, in a market where you compete for income, it's quite simply a conflict of interests.
Uh, I don't think his company is even listed there.
... in his sig...

1675  Other / Off-topic / Re: Linux is such a horrible OS (for casual users) on: September 15, 2013, 11:05:23 PM
Casual computer users should really be fine with Linux. It really isn't that hard, it is just a different concept. If you are into quite a bit of gaming and such, you're better off with Windows, though. Of course, Linux is my #1 for servers, but that's just me.

1677  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Inputs.io | Instant Payments, Offchain API, Secure Wallet, 82000 BTC transferred on: September 15, 2013, 01:17:23 PM
Back up, and it should be much faster now.
With the API, is it possible to send to multiple addresses in one transaction? Also, is it possible to generate new addresses with the API? And lastly, for off-chain transactions, is there any kind of "receipt" like how you can check transactions in the blockchain?

EDIT: And does the minimum amount that can be sent through the API (0.1mBTC) apply to off-chain transactions as well?
1. No, if you have a particular use case for sending sendmany transactions through the Bitcoin network, let me know and I can implement that.
2. The Inputs wallet is not designed to hold a large number of addresses - so no.
3. Yes, https://inputs.io/api#txdetails
4. The minimum amount is still 0.1 mBTC. I would be very interested in a use case for sending less than a penny.
Thanks for the quick reply!
1678  Economy / Services / Re: CrownCloud - >> KVM VPS << - Phoenix - 256 MB @ $18/year [BTC ACCEPTED] on: September 15, 2013, 01:09:42 PM
I have a 2GB VPS with them in LA. I've had no problems so far and have not had to contact support for any reason. Seemed fishy at first for their prices, but it feels just like any other premium hosting company.

I don't want to right now, but if I ever needed to, could I switch to Phoenix fro LA? The specs and prices seem to be the same.

This is way too overpriced. Is there any reason behind it? For example, take a look at this plan...
$3.99/mo Basic Package ($43.50 per year) (27 left)
1024MB Webspace
7680MB Bandwidth
5 ftp accounts
5 email accounts
12 subdomains
12 databases
At this price point most web hosting companies usually provide from 100GB to 500GB of bandwidth per month instead of your 7GB. I could understand it if you had fast SSDs, 1Gbps ports and cloud services included, but I don't see any of this in the OP. So yeah, you could PM me or just post it here.
