Trolls. Hands down, trolls. At least those which are simply annoying, I don't have anything against the ones who try to be funny.
1162  Other / Off-topic / Re: Calling all gamers!! 50% Off All games on g2a! on: March 23, 2014, 06:11:28 PM
I don't think referral links are allowed in OPs. This is just what I have heard, though.

it's not mine tho, does that count?
I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if it's yours or not. However, I could be wrong.

Nah, you will probably be really bad at it. Give up already.  Wink
1164  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 23, 2014, 05:09:24 PM
I personally suspect Ritz will pay up because no one would trust that site after he openly scammed so many people working for him.  Not to mention the flame campaign that is sure to come after such a bold slap in the face on his part.

Depends whether he's running a legitimate business or not. There have a been a few that just appear to grab what cash they can then disappear without paying their advertisers, but I hope he does pay out for everyones sake.

Pretty much H@C just to note going a few pages back in this thread there is a history of payments to his campaigners not one of non-payment that said the site and the sig campaign are separate issues
I guess we will see April 1st

He has negative feedback from ceasing his previous campaign and not paying when he found out people were abusing it. And whilst he did pay out last month for his campaign it was only for a week and for small amounts. The first of next month will be the decider as he has quite a few people spamming away for him right now, so let's see if he's ok shelling out many bitcoins for advertising then. Even if he does pay out I'm sure there will be complaints from some users.
At first, I believed he was not going to pay out at the end of this month, but looking at the growth in his campaign, he probably will pay out, get even more people in, and then not pay anything next month.

EDIT: PMtoCoins is dead, by the way.

Contrary to many people in here, I hate Harry Potter. It is just not my kind of book at all.

I don't usually judge people by which advertising campaign they are on, but I am just going to say that if you are in Ritz's campaign, don't get your hopes up.
1168  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 21, 2014, 11:21:59 PM
What a bunch of nonsense.  You would complain that people post spam and if that isn't the issue then it is that they post to make profit even if there posts are legitimate you could care less.

So If I posted a ton but didn't get paid you telling me you would still go cry on and on about how much I post and how it is ruining all that is good with the forum?

edit: well said surfer,  you would think it was obvious  what I meant but some folks have an interesting way of distorting the reality of the actual situation.

you folks should spend ur time on the legit scammers and spammers IMO instead of your fellow forum member who aren't hurting anybody.
You could have made it clearer, though. My apologies if I was wrong. On what you said, I honestly don't have much of a problem if somebody is posting just because he gets paid as long as they are high quality posts and the user gets fully engaged in the thread. The only problem is that this is very often not the case. Many of the people often either repeat what has already been said, post something completely off-topic, or just don't contribute with anything useful. Anyway, it was just a misunderstanding.
1169  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 21, 2014, 08:12:55 PM
All I know is I do this for one reason and that is to make some coin!  If Ritz don't pay I'll likely find my way back here after already having a bad experience in the past.  I do this for the coin simple as that and you can bet I'll be ranting up a storm for a long time to come if I don't get paid, period.

No risk = no reward imo.
This is exactly the attitude we don't need in the forums. People posting just "to make some coin."
1170  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PSA: Btc.sx is back up on: March 21, 2014, 01:04:45 AM
Still no response from their support about my withdrawal from them, and today I checked my account and got. "Your account has been deactivated. Please contact Administrator".

My guess: they lost money on trades while Gox was Goxing people, and now they're passing this loss on to "suspicious" accounts.

Same here! And Seal ignored me as well. He is somehow related to btc.sx, looks like he is part of their team. Guys at bitcointalk told he is honest and helpfull. pff..
He is honest and helpful. He is just extremely busy in the sense that he usually doesn't respond to PM's until a couple of weeks after. If you want to contact him in a better way, emailing their support is the best way to go.
1171  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 21, 2014, 12:55:04 AM

Signing up for the next month
Starting Posts: 145
Address: 1BHiJTnimrdrGXd5FJENSjJXzd4294PTv9

Blimey, I was scrolling down the page and saw your posting style and sig and it looks identical to mine haha.

With regards to the revised rates, they look good although as a full member I only wish that it were more than 0.0001, maybe 0.0002 which is what it was when I first came onto Bitcointalk.

Ultimately though it is free money for posting so can't grumble too much.

Payment received for this month, this is exactly why I stick with PrimeDice. While the rates at Ritz are very generous there is no guarantee that the process will be anywhere near as smooth as here, hence why I'm sticking around Smiley
As I (and apparently Stunna as well) see it, they are not going to pay out.
1172  Other / New forum software / Re: New Forum by Other Members on: March 20, 2014, 11:37:35 AM
A most popular bitcoin forum must not managed by a kid have a lot of money and authorization. Clearly his behaves will give harm to bitcoin ecosystem in near future. I would strongly recommend to create new forum by other members like mods or RELIABLE users. Also I don't believe that open-source software which costs thousand of bitcoins, as other members.

There's nothing stopping mods or users of this forum from creating their own place. There are also other forums available, but if people can create an even better one then they should go ahead.
It's worth saying that there are actually many other forums based around bitcoin, but they haven't been as successful as this one. If the OP doesn't like it here, he should go ahead and try other forums.

Why would you use (: in a language where you write left to right and consider your eyes to be up? Tongue
1176  Other / Meta / Re: Getting rid of campaign spammers on: March 18, 2014, 07:34:49 PM
I was thinking of either having a separate "Report to a mod" button for spam. If the report is valid, the post is deleted and a counter of "spam posts" is increased either in their profile or under their name.

I suggested something like this before, but if the post is off topic or blatant spam then you can just use the report to moderator function anyway.
With the current system, users would only get their posts removed, which in my opinion, is not enough of a penalty. If you look at the posts of some of the spammers, many of those are not completely removed. By penalizing in a more serious way, spamming can be discouraged even more strongly, and by making a counter for the number of spam posts that have been deleted by each user, owners of campaign can penalize users themselves (perhaps each deleted post = -10 normal posts) and limit signature abilities.

EDIT: Oh, I see what you are saying. You are actually right. In fact, the spam / deleted posts counter could increase with any deletion of a post, since I don't see why mods would delete a post otherwise.

One alternative would be to just liit the signature's formatting capabilities either by both the current activity system and the spam post count or just the spam count by itself.

The signature's formatting are now limited by activity.

I know that, but I feel like this system is could be complemented with the one I am suggesting. I don't feel like the current one protects too well against people with both a high activity level and with many spam posts.
1177  Other / Meta / Getting rid of campaign spammers on: March 18, 2014, 10:57:27 AM
I was roaming around the forums and when I got to the meta section, I read this thread on reporting spammers. That brought me to think about a solution to the entire spam issue. Unfortunately, I am not sure the solution that I am thinking of can actually be implemented in the forum with ease, but I will post it here anyway and maybe you, people, can come up with alternatives.

I was thinking of having a separate "Report to a mod" button for spam. If a report is valid, the post is deleted and a counter of "spam posts" is increased either in their profile or under their name. As we all know, most of these spammers post senseless posts that do not contribute at all to the overall thread. By using this counter, the signature campaign owners can post rules or penalties for having spam posts removed, and it would also encourage the reporting of such. One alternative would be to just limit the signature's formatting capabilities either by both the current activity system and the spam post count or just the spam count by itself.

What do you guys think? Is it beneficial to do such a thing? Can you come up with any better alternatives? In my opinion, this would help get rid of campaign spammers very effectively without really affecting those campaigners who don't spam.

EDIT: Proofread; I had horrible typos.
1178  Other / Off-topic / Re: Affect versus Effect on: March 18, 2014, 03:27:11 AM
Greatly done, but I am pretty sure there is more "demand" for a "you're/your" post. It makes me want to cry just looking at these errors.
1179  Economy / Services / Re: [BTC.sx] Get paid for your signature on: March 03, 2014, 08:21:36 PM
I am not member of this campaign but you are missing Damnsammit he leave this after completing this month I think you have to pay him

I agree. I removed my sig earlier today as I already stated I would.

Still should get paid for the month of February as it was up the whole month Smiley
Yep - I can confirm this.
1180  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 02, 2014, 06:59:10 PM
I have removed the advertisement from my signature seeing the new requirements for full pay. I hope I will be paid for the posts I had it on for... Oh well it doesn't really matter.

So you'd rather not get paid for any posts now and potentially lose payment for the previous ones you did?
I don't think you will get paid at all if you simply remove it. Not even for the previous ones.
