1002  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: July 04, 2014, 09:49:37 PM
Kind of annoying how some people are writing Colombia with a "u". That refers to a completely different place. Anyway, I'm going with Brazil. All they have to do at this point is not let the other team play any moves.
1003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using blockchain for generating and storing passwords on: July 04, 2014, 09:45:46 PM
A similar way would be to simply link a bitcoin address to your account and signing a different message each time you want to login.
1004  Other / Off-topic / Re: our life is programmed -do you all believe this ? on: July 04, 2014, 08:00:29 PM
From a biochemical perspective, you could argue that we are, indeed, programmed and have no free will. Every decision you make is already pre-determined by chemical reactions in your body waiting to happen. These chemcals were produced from your body's development, which stems from your parents' DNA, and so on. So if you want to go full-scientific, this is probably the way.
1005  Other / New forum software / Re: Should be clear if one gets a message from the forum/staff/theymos on: July 04, 2014, 07:54:54 PM
Mny places just shade the message slightly with a certain color (usually green or yellow). That could work here.

1010  Economy / Services / Re: Genesis-mining.com || Signature Campaign || Discontinued on: July 04, 2014, 03:42:08 AM
Kind of sad to see this one go, but it is what it is. Hopefully there will be more competition amongst the others.
1011  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Poll] Which team will win the World Cup 2014? on: July 03, 2014, 08:06:03 PM
The finals are going to be either Netherlands-Germany or Costa Rica-Germany. I called it.
1012  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need help setting up a very simple webserver... on: July 03, 2014, 07:31:07 PM
For what he needs, a VPS is way too overkill. In this case I would go for shared hosting, because your home computer is probably not going to be up all the time, plus it brings up some security issues. Also, don't use Windows for this, use Linux.
1013  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much you spend on the internet? on: July 03, 2014, 07:27:25 PM
Most of my day, really. The internet's where it's at.
1014  Economy / Digital goods / Re: *WTS* $850 USD Newegg.com Store Credit on: July 02, 2014, 06:56:02 AM
Thought I'd mention that Newegg just started taking Bitcoin payments with Bitpay. I considered it relevant to this thread.
1015  Other / Off-topic / Re: PC Gaming Thread on: July 01, 2014, 05:27:37 AM
Skyrim - its old now maybe wait for new game
The Witcher 2 - not sure if its latest but if so go for it, if not do 3

good and cheap games i can suggest on steam:
the walking dead part 1 and 2 [really, its one of best experiences i had!]
TERA [free mmorpg - i had so much fun with it then got everything i could and sold my cahracter aroudn year ago] im sure it has alot of new stuff now
Let me just vouch for TWD. I played the first season, can't wait to play the second one.
1016  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: June 20, 2014, 05:53:54 AM
If Italy manages to butcher the game vs Costa Rica I will be super disappointed seeing as they are the last leg of my parlay..
Totally rooting for my country, Costa Rica. Sorry, England, but you've gotta go, although I would like to say that Uruguay's second goal was pretty freaking unfair.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm a little skeptical of BTC at the moment, thinking of dropping out again. on: June 12, 2014, 07:31:46 PM
Forget about mining at all. That's not going to work whatsoever. As for Bitcoin itself, don't risk any money if you're not willing to lose it. If you can't afford it to go down, just get out and don't come back until you can. At this point, putting money into Bitcoin really is kind of like stocks trading, it can go either way. If your financial situation is pretty tight, just go the safe way for now and once you're in a better standing, feel free to come back.

But that's just my take on it.
1018  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What happens in the government if Bitcoin takes over? on: June 12, 2014, 06:09:20 PM
Ok, great answers. Now let's see the other side of it. What would governments do without tax money to keep control over the people? Would it be supported by voluntary contributions or such?
1019  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What happens in the government if Bitcoin takes over? on: June 12, 2014, 09:24:18 AM
Well when the government dont get their income from taxes anymore they will just find another way.
I think we dont know half the things they probably have in mind to get the money.
When there is a will, there is a way.
What ways could they have up their sleeve? That is what I'm mostly concerned about.
1020  Other / Meta / Re: What is wrong ? Why this is considered spamming ? Nobody wants to help me ! on: June 12, 2014, 07:47:03 AM
At this point, so many people have been banned from posting at off-topic that I would rather just stay away from there and advise you to do so as well if you are in a signature campaign. Posts can be easily considered spam. I encourage you to look elsewhere for anything non-Bitcoin related. If you really want to post in these forums, then it would be better to just create a separate account without any sig campaign and use it to post in the off-topic section. (Of course, this probably won't happen since I am quite sure that most off-topic posters do it for the sake of post count, can't really blame the staff)
