Algebra is heavily used in programming. Programming is full of j=1; j<array.length;j++ type lines, no matter the language. What does that line have to do with algebra?! That's an extract from an if() loop, 3 individual but related statements. I've been programming for 20 years and can't remember the last time I needed algebra after A-level maths in school :p (but I don't do any 3D gaming progarmming, which is where I guess you're aiming this at) I am pretty sure that if there are variables in a program, there's algebra involved. If there's something other than a number representing a value, it's probably algebra. When you are creating a variable your defining something. This can use algebra but it can also not var time = getTime(); all your doing is making time = to a function so you don't have to write out the entire function over and over and over again that way when you want to use getTime you just say time. Just by giving time a value (any value) you are already using algebra. At least from the way I see it. |

How can it be "for fun" if players have to pay for it and you're making a profit?
please, reread the thread and do your math... No big win, no big profit in any case. But if you really just did it for fun, you should pay out 100% of the pot, fund the pot yourself or play without a pot. This is what I was trying to convey with my last post. |

The payment is a bit too low. Stunna offers this up to 4000 posts and youre new.
The payment is the same, only you can make a max total of 500 posts, but I don't know why people would choose this over PD and Bit777 when they're offering the same and have rep. Exactly, so the payment amounts should increase. There will have to be some benefit for people to switch over that's for sure. I see this as healthy competition, actually. It suits better for people who don't spam (no offense to those over 500 posts who don't spam) and the signature is way less intrusive.
Competition and a choice of offers is great, but any rational person would look at this and other offers and think why bother? There needs to be some enticement even if it's a small one. What happens if you get to the 500 posts on this and then you're capped? At least with some of the others you can keep going. The enticement I was talking about is the signature. It is much less intrusive. |
