362  Economy / Reputation / Re: Calling out LoyceV the dumb ass - come and back up your claims I await. on: January 17, 2019, 02:34:38 PM
LoyceV is better than my data Centre and a drama watcher. He has his pop corns in hand  Tongue
363  Other / Meta / Re: Massive abuse in the Russian section. on: January 17, 2019, 02:24:10 PM
no you didn't do what you should - and you read in detail as you quoted a post then added your thoughts.
stop lying about this, there is obvious blatant collusion after the 14th when your "comrade" was excluded - then mob rule came along, some scammer tried to break the whole of DT with ~defaulttrust and I still see that now - why no ban? why no tag?
you are not suitable to do this job, god knows what else goes on in that section. And no I am not racist or whatever else you want to say, I was one of the members who added Alex_SR onto DT.
TBH I wouldn't want moderators to start removing posts on topics like that or otherwise interfering in trust system matters. We're supposed to police ourselves. I'll be excluding some of the obviously unsuitable members, even if they're not malicious but merely misguided. That's all we really need to do. The attempts to game the system are fully expected and even if that thread didn't exist it could still happen via PMs, telegram, etc so we better be ready and check and re-check those DT1/2 newbie lists.
Indeed. I think he meant that xandry as a somewhat more reputable member and staff member should have pointed this out to the rest of us.
This was my translation too. Well done brother TMAN
364  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reference post: Why have I excluded members on my trust list? on: January 17, 2019, 02:11:06 PM
This is a great one. Thanks. I don't know how I missed this. The data seems old. Anyway...

My name appeared 31 times! That's quite a lot  Grin and I see a lot of exclusion for me  Tongue

And the users:
tmfp <=  Roll Eyes
marlboroza <= as expected lol
IconFirm <= who is this? Really LOL
kenzawak <= no clue about this user
kirito1614 <= who is this again LOL I see he excluded hilariousetc too LOL
o_e_l_e_o <=  Tongue

Anyway these are the people are in my trust included list:
Code:
satoshi
theymos
OgNasty
Vod
Anduck
mprep
KWH
Cyrus
Welsh
TMAN
Lauda
DefaultTrust
Blazed

zazarb
LoyceV
actmyname

Can I add the exclusion list? Is it ok for a non-DT?

Spreadsheet for the week of (1/7 - 1/14) has been submitted to Management for payments  Smiley

Also, if you receive any PMs demanding money, don't pay and report/block.
Hello jeremypwr,
Would you consider a red trusted yet very high posting habit user in the forum who is involved in forum politics doesn't count how many posts he makes a week (check the post history)?

If yes then let me know....

Your and my trust rating does not have much difference by the way although I have not verified the reasons for you to get painted red.

Looking forward.
No offense but I guess even if jeremypwr will consider your trust rating but he cannot accept you because the sr member slots are already full.
You may check the spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RWUX_cvehsv1YWm1JqvZUJKwyYa8o2MROUJhXV2O9lE/edit#gid=245834651

If I get the green signal then I will follow the topic. Once there will be a sopt I will apply  Smiley

So you do response quickly. Last time when I wanted to get your attention - it took you around a month to repond my topic.

Hello everyone. First of all: thanks to all who have explained my point of view in this thread. I have read this thread only today, thanks to user ToTheMoon_XOM9IK which has openly shown discontent in identification of plagiarism.

The topic was create on may 28 2018.

Hmm...
368  Other / Meta / Re: Massive abuse in the Russian section. on: January 17, 2019, 12:30:40 PM

I can't but to mention the merit exchange between Alex_Sr and Nikisa.
I don't want to go back to my past of merit investigation. I have had it enough mate. I remember I had some investigations for the user Alex_Sr receiving merits from a moderator.
369  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reference post: Why have I excluded members on my trust list? on: January 17, 2019, 12:27:14 PM
I wonder What happen if all the old guys on the forum show their trust list
I guess people who are on DT (both DT1 and DT2) - their trust list is already public?
370  Other / Meta / Re: Are we having fund issue? on: January 17, 2019, 12:24:23 PM
As a treasurer OgNasty alone is holding around 200BTC for the forum.

do you want this thread to have 300 pages of drama?

Have fun LOL but I doubt it will be  Tongue
371  Other / Meta / Re: grin is now accepted for forum payments on: January 17, 2019, 12:20:16 PM
11 cent is 0.00003064BTC when price is $3,590. Consider the price $20k, more hash difficulties more more btc as payment fees. Multiply that with the rate $20k. This was what happened when bitcoin had it's ATH. In dollar currency people even paid more than $10 for transactions.

If you extrapolate the same 0.00003064 to $20,000 that's still only $0.61. A lot has changed between now and a year ago to help keep tx fees down, in terms of satoshis. The last time fees were this low was 2 years ago, when the price of BTC was about $390.
If the price spike up like it did for the ATH the this plain equation is not gonna work. Sure it will be a lot more in terms of dollar. Anyway, my point is that... We are in a forum where we are suppose to support bitcoin. Everything we do to promote bitcoin but when a character like theymos indirectly publicly vouch for something else then it will create a mess for sure.

I could not agree more with this user...
This is what we call indirect endorsement. Just wait for the cryptonews media to handle the rest publicity. Very soon you'll see news likes
Quote
Cryptocurrencies biggest and oldest forum "bitcointalk" co-founded by satoshi himself accepts GRIN as a means of payment
and the so called crypto-experts on twitter and YouTube will add to the hype by adding it to their top altcoin to watchout for in 2019. Some might even say GRIN is the new BITCOIN Grin. although If I was a part of this project the news above (grins added as means of payment on bitcointalk) will be advertise on grin site. This wasn't the intention of theymos although when a forum like bitcointalk accepts you as a means of payment it's an indirect endorsement sending signals to potential investors that the project is a go for...

Once this Bcash guys will discover this they will take it to another level.

7$ vs 3.7$

By the time the friday price increase comes, you might buy a membership with a few cents

Blow me I should have seen this before. I just paid for my copper membership in BTC LOL.

Hey, I believe we should only have BTC as payment method. We are Bitcoiner guys. Is n't it should be the whole point?
372  Other / Meta / Re: Are we having fund issue? on: January 17, 2019, 12:06:11 PM
He adopted it just because he believes in it and wants to support it.
You should have read my view...
Not trying to suck up but I'm pretty sure he's allowed to do whatever he wants.
He can but a lot depends on what he does. He is a public character for Bitcoin and the entire community. Anything comes from him will have million times market affect than you and me or others.  Smiley

Anyway the advertisement worked and I paid for my copper membership. I hate to see the other payment method though.  Grin

373  Other / Meta / Re: Are we having fund issue? on: January 17, 2019, 11:44:51 AM
If I remember correctly, they had around 1k 5.2k bitcoins escrowed somewhere, so no!
As a treasurer OgNasty alone is holding around 200BTC for the forum.

I guess this kind of sums it up:

Has anything been written anywhere about the reasons for this? I can't imagine it's a money making measure. I also can't imagine it's going to deter the people who aren't already deterred by it.

It's just that I last changed the price when the BTC/USD price was $12k, so it's drifted from the intended value. Evil fees will also be updated.

The price will be fixed in bitcoins so imagine what will happen when we enter a bull market again.

Then I'll (eventually) adjust it downward again. I like to keep the BTC-denominated price pretty stable and not change it every time the market freaks out in either direction, but it's supposed to have a vaguely consistent real value.

I doubt that the Copper Membership aggregate per month adds up to too much really.

I guess in that case theymos needs to consider the dollar price. Have a fixed dollar price, use a standard dollar to BTC converter.

...sold a few Bitcoin to buy a Lambo. Smiley
May be spent them to buy a million dollar castle, few private yachts and few Jets too  Grin

I am sorry theymos, did you lose your confidence in Bitcoin because the transaction fee is high or something?

Have you transacted in bitcoin lately? The median tx fee is currently 11 cents; not exactly a dealbreaker.

Just noticed this in the Marketplace (Altcoins) section.

Sure the Marketplace is the best place to advertise the copper membership. This means buy copper membership ASAP or when the price increase you will pay 300% more.

Earlier today I noticed theymos is endorsing an altcoin indirectly. grin is now accepted for forum payments my response was here

Anyway, I am not sure what is going on in theymos mind. theymos always said money is not an issue. I guess I read somewhere that copper membership is not also something to earn money. Then why in a sudden we are seeing these?

Update:

I always found the Russian section a bit irritating for me. I even had a topic against one of the moderator long ago. What I learnt was that they basically favor each others to take advantages of anything. I will find the topic and post it here.
A similar thing happened with the Turkish section. I strongly believe that they keep each other's abuse hidden/protect each other because of it.
I never looked in the Turkish so I am not sure about them but I did some deep investigations in the Russian section back that time when I used to investigate merit abusing. What I learnt that they work together and support each others to kick out others who they don't like.

PS: I even found people leaving me red trust saying I am snitching the forum, it's not there anymore though but there is a post. I will bring the post here. Give me few times.

update:

Here...
read the topic and realize that the person who does it, it is in life - Squealer. How can you be so jealous, like your forum money gets taken away.
Remember, son, you're a stupid Snitch and your children will be snitches.

Go whine on me, better cry and tell your mom that you were on the forum hurt.

This was a guy from Russian section. He left a red tag to me too but it's not in my trust list anymore. He deleted it I guess.

Update:
Check the feedback page: http://prntscr.com/m8d9gl
This should confirm that he is from Russian Section although I can't read the language but looking at the characters it seems Russian.

I'll delete this off-topic response soon.
