Attention: I have just been dubbed with the honorary title of the greatest most bearish type of bear there is: a permabear. This came after projecting a flat short term market and 'only' a 500% per year exponential growth trend.

All of these threads about spectacular projections of rallies to the moon and stars are making me feel bearish. But earlier I was feeling bullish. Thanks alot...

Here is OP's projection:  It asserts that right now we are going to blast right through the downcrossed EMAs and downcrossed MACD on the weekly chart, rise right past all prior resistance levels which lasted for 5 months, without consolidating around them, and break ATH in august, then spend 2 months rallying an additional 1400% in a bubble of a magnitude that has not been seen since 2011. All in all it is a 3000% rise. This is ignoring the fact that right now all of the indicators on the weekly chart are firmly down and that the RSI on the weekly chart on the last rally diverged, indicating that the rallies are getting weaker rather than stronger or that the trend is over even. |

I've found TradingView users in general not to be helpful at all for BTC trading. It seems like every single chart is wrong.

3600 BTC ....now volume is really pathetic, I think that any action will be a couple weeks after the Bitcoin Amestrdam conference.  There is a bit of volume on hoHBoy. About 14,000BTC within the past 3 hours. |

Why is it that bulls speak so emotionally and inappropriately while bears speak so calmly and rationally?

Only uberbullish projections are allowed here. Bearish projections and even completely neutral projectons will be met with a gauntlet of hostility and profanity. Meanwhile 1,000 wrong projections will be made each day by bulls and they will be perfectly acceptable and ignored. It's a double standard.

Anyone who thinks bitcoin is staying 500 for a year is delusional. You're not fooling anyone. Yes I could be wrong. My type of assertion is 'I wouldn't be suprised' and you don't see me placing any bets do you. And why do you think I'm trying to 'fool' someone? What motive could I possibly have for claiming the market will be flat? |

I think the idea is that the students will cooperate with eachother on large school projects, labs, research, etc. With that many people involved (tech students), they could do some pretty big experiments and maybe even write the next bitcoin features.
It is not about 'young' at all.

If everyone is predicting 5000 imagine what it will actually go to  I feel that one of these rallies bitcoin just *has to* fool everybody and skip the final double exponential growth week and go straight to crash  This would happen if, say, the next rally was an a wave of an abc (ew theory). If it breaks out from this weak chart with no volume and no base then watch out because that might actually be the case. I think you mean B wave of EW theory. C wave bottoming within the range of IV $50-$266. right *b wave |

I dont think that OP had given a fundamental analyse. Looks like pretty technical to me. So i wonder why you always try to be off subject? I don't see a 2000% increase happening via T.A. either. |

Yes, pyramid schemes usually have that effect. Those who invested will only make money if more people invest (and hold) so that the price goes up so that they can sell with profit. You don't see people who bought Apple or Google stock pestering everyone in sight to buy too. Real investors know that other real investors do not pay attention to hype, they look for fundamentals. It seems like the chart of Huobi and OKcoin are exactly the same, down to a very fine detail. Same volume too. I wonder how they do that.

Also you can't see the whole book so some of the walls that appeared while the price was rising are often not there anymore when it is dropping. It is like all the buyers put all their weight into pumping on an upmove and then they all give up at once.

People seem to be forgetting that Bitcoin and governments are not compatible. One of them will have to go before this is over...
Since the government created the internet itself, it is not going to be hard to figure this one out if it comes to that. Dude, how old are you? Saying that the government created the internet is like saying Al Gore created the internet. It it is doing a HUGE injustice to all those brilliant civilian computer scientists that were part of ARPANet back in the 60's. The U.S. government doesn't creates shit, it just funds it. Those government and military bozos couldn't even spell 'internet' at the time, much less conceive of it, create it, or even know its true long term potential. When I say 'government', that includes government-led and government-funded programs with civilian government employees and contractors etc. Civilians and contractors are a big part of the government and the government is not all about the enlistees of the military and congressional branches. |
