741 Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: July 03, 2018, 11:30:07 AM
Hi Guys

I've been in the crypto scene for many years now, first time post here over a dilemma I am facing.

So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the marketcap of all coins growing. But friends close to me think I am an idiot for not selling yet, and if it were to collapse to zero, I would never forgive myself. But they don't know the market like I do, and I do believe that it is only the beginning. They say I should sell 95% buy a house, a car and live a nice lifestyle. I am frugal, have always lived within my means and never spent any crypto money as of yet, but I am tempted to start spending some of it now. I am 26 years old, rent an apartment and drive a car worth less than most peoples pushbikes.

My portfolio currently looks like this....

43% Raiblocks
40% Oyster Pearl
5% Enigma
4%Dash
1.5% Bitcoin
and tiny holdings in Waves, Lisk, Stratis, Game.....

I think that both XRB and PRL can double easily this year.

This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.

What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

Many thanks for your help in advance.
How did you get to make up to $600,000 from this cryptocurrency biz? Lol, I’m still struggling to make up to a thousand dollars and here you are, just a lucky man. $600,000 in my country currency is a very huge amount of money and if I’m to make such an amount of money from Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency I would probably call it a quit.

But we are both from different locations, so you should make that decision yourself. If you believe that there is the possibility that you can make extra gain, then you can continue.
742 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum? Trade or Invest? Buy of Sell, What The Hell? on: July 03, 2018, 11:05:27 AM
A brand new Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency podcast that is focused on trading and investing. Hosts interview guests and discuss the latest news in the markets. With experienced traders including an ex-JP Morgan hedge fund manager to talk Bitcoin and big picture moves. Are the latest moves all manipulation or just demand driven? Is the latest SEC statement on Ethereum positive for the markets? When will Bitcoin see all-time highs again? Do Bitcoin Futures manipulate the market? Bitcoin ETFs maybe?

Up until early 2016, there was only one choice for holding cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin. From there, the marketplace has exploded. In this episode, they discuss constructing your portfolio and how to gather the proper information to make informed investments and trades.

Latest episode on SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/buy-or-sell-what-the-hell/bitcoin-is-king-constructing-a-balanced-portfolio-27

Is there some interest in a solely trading and investing crypto podcast? No bullshit, just talking markets.

Give it a shot and let me know what you guys think!
There are lots of traders that are making profit during selling and buying/up and down prices. Trading is not easy, but there are experts who are good in it and making huge profits, although being experts doesn’t exclude them from making loss, no matter your level of expertise in trading you will surely lose money.

The most important thing is to make sure that the profit you’re making is more than loss. Not everyone is so lucky. If you are not good in trading, then you can buy Bitcoin or some altcoins at cheaper price rate and Hodl till the price goes up. That’s the best thing to do.
743 Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no such thing safe trading on: July 03, 2018, 10:37:22 AM
The trading word itself represents the risk. So no matter how much experience you have or how good is your mentor you will have every chance to lose. This safe trading word doesn't exist. If you are trading any asset whose value depends on various external and internal factors which you can't control you will never be safe. The thing which matter is you should always be in overall profit no matter how you trade, what you trade...

Losing money in trading is inevitable, it’s something that you can’t avoid. Even before you start trading you will see a lot of people that will tell you that there are heavy risks involved in it. The only thing that matters is that you should always make sure that the overall profit is higher than the loss that was encountered while trading.

That’s why it’s good to always make calculations and know when you’re losing and winning. Some people are fond of not making calculations and is pretty bad.😒☹️ They don’t even know what they are doing and can’t tell loss is bigger than profit. When you’re taking note of all these, it will help you improve your game(trade).
744 Economy / Economics / Re: Should we teach children to have businessman mentality or be successful employee on: July 03, 2018, 08:36:21 AM
We all have that thought why do Chinese people actually make it in the business world. The reason apparently is that at an early age, their parents are conditioning the minds of their children to do business in the hopes that they will actually be heirs to their family business.
In your opinion, should we be teaching them the same or teaching them to be successful employees for the sake of climbing up the economic ladder?
I don’t know for sure, but it’s not everyone that is meant to be a leader, and also not everyone is meant to be follower. Not everyone is meant to be entrepreneur or employee, everyone is different, so by the time your child grows up you will see that in them and they will get to choose what they want to be in life.

But for me, entrepreneurs are the best. They are the ones who create the job for the employees, so they like the leaders here and employees are like the followers. Entrepreneurs has no limit and are able to achieve much more than employees if there is the opportunity.
745 Economy / Economics / Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries? on: July 03, 2018, 08:09:32 AM
We can not deny the big country with good economy, it will make the society economy better too.
So they can follow the economic development and participate in transactions and investments in Bitcoin era.
How the people of small countries can participate in participation and benefit from it?
It would be very difficult to calculate the statistics of users of each country, but the comparison of Bitcoin ATM growth from this early 2017 report can be the initial reference of the statistics.
Perhaps by the end of this year, there will be more Bitcoin ATM growth across the board due to the growing interest in bitcoin this year.

If you’re living in a developing country Bitcoin will be very costly for you to afford. The price of Bitcoin in my country is about 2 million of my country’s currency or so. Now my monthly pay is around 10k of my country’s currency and that’s around $30.

So how do you think I will be able to afford buying one Bitcoin? It’s not easy, if I’m to save my annual income for one. Bitcoin it will take like two years or so. So it’s not easy for those that are living in developing countries and government are bunch of criminals.
746 Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you afraid of the market now? on: July 02, 2018, 12:30:56 PM
I think the next economic crisis will affect the digital money market.
what's your point of view?

Yep, I am so afraid now. I am so afraid of trading since I don't know whether the price will ever go back up again. But I will have my hope that Bitcoin shall rise again.
And I am not afraid of the market now because the market goes to up very soon, and i think compare to the current market as the last year its is very good becuase in last year the month of june the bitcoin was low and now it is very high .
Even if the market does not go up anytime soon, I see no reason for anyone to be afraid of the market. One thing at least that I am happy to see with this market right now is some period of sanity as we get to see a lot of the whole idea of getting rich overnight subside. This kind of movement in the market before we start seeing some consolidation will at least give the market chance to develop without any FOMO driven price for no reason.
747 Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies in ten years? on: July 01, 2018, 04:59:46 PM
As the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency frenzy continues with more and more involvement by the world populace, where do you see Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the next ten years?
You know what,no one can predict what will happen to bitcoin in coming years. But for me i hope in ten years bitcoin is very popular and legalized by all country. And no matter how bitcoin drop down in the market it is still profitable because the member or users of bitcoin have faith on it and they will invest which make the price rise again.
Apparently, no one can predict what the future holds for anything, policies could change, it could tend to positive or negative, but time alone will tell.

We should focus more on now and let the future play itself out. If I am to assume anyway, I want to believe with great optimism that a lot of things would have changed positively, bitcoin would have been more established as well as some altcoins, we may have started seeing real life usage than the present moment and obviously, the value by then will not be how it is today.
748 Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin becoming the sovereign currency on: June 30, 2018, 12:24:07 PM
What bitcoin has done in the past has proven that it is a legitimate place to hold and build wealth (I always like to think of it as gold). the market is ranging between .5-.8 trillion. Experts all have no doubt it will reach 5 trillion, and a lot of experts even say that it could and maybe even will be worth 1 million dollars one day.

So for the purpose of this topic, lets just assume all this is true and here we are 2 years later and bitcoin is lets say 100k.
Everyone is freaking out because they fear the value of the dollar and other paper currencies will go down.

So there has to be a point in this transformation of worldly currency, that the value of bitcoin begins to overall outweigh the dollar in a way that its not worth holding anymore and should be invested into assets because from then on out holding bitcoin would have the value of a lot of dollars but because of that the dollar wouldn't be worth anything...so then at that point what would the bitcoin value even be based upon?

Do you guys think that (assuming everything i say becomes a reality) that it would get to a point where you'd be better off investing your bitcoins into assets because it has no more room to grow since the US dollar (and other paper currencies) at this point has become almost irrelevant?

Just a thought i had today and i thought it was interesting and that i'd share with you guys.

P.S. is there anywhere i can change my user? lol Roll Eyes
Man, you just don’t know what you’re saying. Seems like you’re among the lucky winners of 2017 and you’re saying this out of your own greediness. Very good, since you made a lot of profit, have you thought of those that lost their money last year? I lost about 40% of my investment and my friend lost about 50% and there is nothing funny about it.

There are lots of people making profit from Bitcoin, same as there are people who are making loss, in fact those that are making loss are more than those are making profit, but this is all about having patience.
749 Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the useful tips for beginners? on: June 30, 2018, 11:53:03 AM
Never, I mean NEVER forget that bitcoin was not meant for any of this. Bitcoin's purpose was never "buy low and sell high and make money" no it was set out to be the digital currency of people that banks and goverments of the world can not fail us. However the human nature just attracts towards "making easy money" wherever you come from and whichever country you are from.

We all started out using bitcoins for stuff, hell buying pizza for 10k wasn't a big deal at the time, it was INSANE and we all loved it, than people started to change, new people started to come, we all shifted from buying coffee and pizza with bitcoin back when we were happy with it to now just becoming the wall street brokers that bitcoin started against. Bitcoin wanted to get rid of wall street type guys, ironically, it turned a lot of people into one. Don't be like that, don't "buy" your bitcoin, "earn" your bitcoin, don't "sell" your bitcoin "spend" your bitcoin.
750 Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think will happen in august ? on: June 30, 2018, 11:22:22 AM
Aside from the fact that noone can know what it can be and all this is just pure speculation I suppose it has been down for a long time now. I think even before august it can rise back to 10k levels, if not at least 8k levels. Those were steady prices for bitcoin.

I think going back to 7k-8k levels will be easy, I just hope it won't swing too further like going to 12k or something and going back down to 5k or so. Those bigs swings where people lose hope for bitcoin when some make double their investment but some lose half of their investments.
751 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH go back to $5? I mean its a FRAUD, whenever Bitcoin goes up, ETH goes up on: June 28, 2018, 11:10:53 AM
bitcoin is an indicator when the market will go down or up. I do not know what caused this to happen, but probably because trading all crypto paired with bitcoin.

I never thought that eth would be reach for $ 5, it would not happen and I'm sure of it.
This is hilarious man. How can we expect ETH to fall so low when people have started investing in it due to the low prices. The incentive to maximize your future profit is now and people have keen interest in investment in different type of crypto currencies.

In such a situation, we cannot expect ETH to fall to #5 again. That was long ago when Bitcoin and ETH were so down. We are rather heading towards prosperity.
752 Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC: where is the market going on: June 28, 2018, 10:29:04 AM
Great charts you have op but why aren't there any forecasts of a possible price rise from these charts because it makes no sense for a continuous drop as market has to respond positively after a dip ; )

Bitcoin market is not going anywhere but the prices of Bitcoin is kept decreasing and this make people panic about the market. Of course, it is completely common in the crypto market the price variation is very huge and volatile is also very huge. Now Bitcoin price is completely in a downtrend and of course, there is a day for Bitcoin to increase it's price even higher.
The downward trend is worrying which why we need to move away from the old strategies of hodling and try to use bitcoin on an everyday basis to try to stimulate the market to ignite demand
That’s right. The fall has created some chaos but what we all-the investors and traders-need to do is to stick to our strategy and act rationally because we cannot afford to loose our dollars. Due to this chaos, people have started calling the technology a scam but we know that is not true and we have witnessed the previous booms in the crypto market.

We just need to understand that the rise and fall is part of every market and there are inbuilt abilities in the market that ultimately help the market recover.
753 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the name of altcoins that is good for investment at the moment on: June 28, 2018, 10:00:30 AM

Diversifying your investment into 10 coins or tokens is a good idea. Anymore than that when you are just getting started will create problems. The amount of hard drive space for 10 coins alone will be over a terabyte.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are both at a year low and I think it is a good time to buy both.

With ICOs, you must choose wisely. Due diligence is key. Do your research and invest in projects that solve the many problems in the infant space.

If you are interested in a unique ICO with existing technology, look into PROTO.

https://prototoken.io/

This project will be a game changer in the crypto-space. PROTO uses a much more effective data structure and solves the many problems with blockchain.

BTCTalk Announcement:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4511338
Diversification of investment is always a good idea if you are planning of pouring money in crypto market that is highly volatile and unpredictable. Diversifying investment provides more security against loss and higher chances of profit.

Number of coins that you diversify your investment in depends on the amount that you are planning to pour in. I too have diversified my investment in BTC and 6 other altcoins that I have chosen after thorough research and study of charts.
754 Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recovering ? on: June 27, 2018, 12:44:12 PM
I am pretty sure it will recover sooner than later. Trends show that at the end of the year it is always higher. Hopefully it will be the case this year as well.
Same here because the technology is not an outdated one and still have a long long way to go because there are still a lot of people who still have to make demand for Bitcoin.

The more the demand, the more will be the rise in prices. Besides, If we look at the fall in the prices, we can observe that the fall occurs not more than few hundred dollars which means that the little fluctuations are not dangerous and a sudden jump can recover all the depreciations.
755 Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons To Collect And Hodl Bitcoin At Current Price For Long Term on: June 27, 2018, 11:46:18 AM
Hello Guys,

Just notice recent price movement of crypto specifically Bitcoin, now is the good time to collect then hodl of bitcoin at current price. The reasons are:
1. Big Business Man and Entity has started to enter bitcoin, they are such as Rockefeller, Soros, and Rothschild. Others are as this link:https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/04/08/soros-rothschild-big-institutional-investors-entering-bitcoin-market/

2. Major countries will be not a barrier for bitcoin as concluded on last G-20 convention as referring to this link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-jumps-1k-after-carney-tells-g20-crypto-does-not-pose-risk. There is a high possibility to be followed by other countries.

3. Popularity of Bitcoin will rise after FIFA world cup since Bitcoin will be tested for transaction during World Cup which will be witnessed by tens or even hundreds of thousands of people from all corners of the world, plus thousands of journalists who will proclaim their coverage all over the world. Here is the link: https://btcmanager.com/bitcoins-promise-of-global-currency-to-be-tested-at-fifa-world-cup-in-june-2018/

Even above points are considered as good parameter to collect bitcoin at current price, it is necessary to see the update of above points to impact the crypto market. We can understand that point no 1 will not be immediately affect the market since they need to comprehensively learn and research crypto space with the assumption above news are just still the interest of those guys to enter crypto space. So it will need time for them to understand comprehensively in crypto space with certainly full of due diligent will be made before really enter this crypto space actually.

While point no 2, even G-20 have released that crypto is not the threat to their economic and financial condition so crypto will be not barred but as a country that will need time to implement new policy, regulation, rule or laws however definitely this is a good start at least the crypto activities will not be disturbed. This is a green light for crypto development, but again it will need time to be fully good effect to the market.

While the 3rd point above, seems it will be a faster effect to bitcoin price if the testing has been successfully carried out. Hope Russia will be a place to spread out bitcoin to all over the world by performing FIFA World cup, even point no 2 and 3 are not yet affected the market immediately but if the point 3 is successful perhaps points no 1 and 2 will be move a little bit faster.

So as conclusion, in long term of crypto is still be a sexy thing specially Bitcoin to be collected and hodl while see the update of 3 points above specially the test result of point 3. Beside, we can see the indicators of point 3 by waiting the support of $ 6000 (-+ 5%) whether to be reversed or broken. If $ 6000 support is broken, Collecting Bitcoin as long term hodl will be still a sexy investment but still need to find another moment or support line of bitcoin price to enter.
Uuhm… 🤔man I don’t really get what you mean by Bitcoin will be tested for a transaction during Fifa World Cup Russia, lol, that never happened. Funny statement, who even has the time to be testing Bitcoin during a football match.

You should have just said that there are lots of big business men joining the Bitcoin market and not telling us that Fifa will be testing Bitcoin lol. By the way I have a lot of Bitcoin that I have stored in my wallet cause I’m very sure that the price of Bitcoin will go up very soon, even before they end of this year.
756 Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices going up to 9.3k$? on: June 27, 2018, 11:13:11 AM
yes you are right bitcoin can get back to the price of more than $ 10k again at the end of this year but it should all need good news that could trigger a bitcoin price increase, if nothing can trigger a rise in bitcoin price then it will be difficult to get up.
Speculations and predictions actually do not work up to 100% and in my opinion, yes the prices will rise again but you never know when.

The speculations and predictions are actually backed by some past data and current market data which actually do not go in the right direction due to the presence of the past data and rather give you a nominal figure and not a real figure. Anyhow, we are still optimistic about the future.

757 Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Market all RED today. I am so scared on: June 26, 2018, 12:01:43 PM
It seems to me that now a lot of people will sell their altcoins because of great fears. Many people can exchange them for bitcoins for greater reliability. This will create a demand for bitcoin and it will pull the entire market up. In any case, bitcoin will begin to grow first. I think the altcoin market will suffer more.
Well I don’t think that bitcoin will see rapid growth and altcoins will suffer because people nowadays are gaining knowledge about the market first rather than investing blindly into bitcoin. Altcoins such as NEO, XRP, IOTA, etc have much more potential than bitcoin and are likely to leave bitcoin behind in the terms of market cap in coming time.

Bitcoin is alive in the market just because it is oldest and still many exchanges don’t offer trade of altcoins in fiat currencies. Well established altcoins that have real world applications will surely show significant growth in future than bitcoin.
758 Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of BTC will drop to 4000 dollars? on: June 26, 2018, 11:12:50 AM
I am thinking the same. It can go 4000 usd. As many exchanges may be upgrading their systems and anti-money laundering procedures. Also some one mentioned that Italy just banned Bitcoin. If this is true then BTC will surely go fall to 4000$ even lower.
Effect on bitcoin due to countries banning it is just temporary as every crypto enthusiast knows that bitcoin can be banned, but it can never be stopped as the transactions are private, anonymous and cannot be traced therefore providing security to its investors as well as traders.

Even if bitcoin falls to 4000$ mark, it will surely recover in the future as it has become a digital currency that is well known among all the people across globe and is mostly encouraged by youths.
759 Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto and automobile on: June 26, 2018, 10:38:41 AM
I'm just curious when can I start buying my dream cars with altcoins, I mean can huge automobile companies like Toyota, Ford and Nissan start accepting cryptocurrency as means of exchange
This is one problem that most of you all have and to be sincere I hate it so much. Before most people were complaining about not finding places where they can buy cars and other things of their choice with Bitcoin, and now they got it.

There are lots of online stores where you can buy most things of your choice with Bitcoin and I even heard that some automobile companies are accepting Bitcoin. Like that is not enough, you’re here asking whether you can use altcoins to buy cars again… Why not convert it to Bitcoin and buy what you want?
760 Economy / Economics / Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries? on: June 26, 2018, 10:12:22 AM

Lol that’s because they are from the good economies countries 😂you already answered that question by yourself. How can you have the money to invest in Bitcoin when you’re living in a bad economy countries? 🤔In my country I find it difficult to pay for economy flight, not to talk of having the money to buy up to one Bitcoin.

So it is not easy for those that are living in countries with bad economy. You will have to work hard to make a living, you will work ten times of what someone that is living in a good economy country is working to be able to make it.
