761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 17, 2023, 04:33:35 PM
Hello everyone, I have a new question,
In your opinion, is it worth attending blockchain events?
It depends on what your aim is. If you want to gain knowledge or learn more about blockchain or any projects being discussed in a certain event, you should obviously do it because such seminars and events can teach you a lot of things and you can learn a lot about blockchain technology, new projects, investment opportunities, you can also meet new people and share knowledge and might make some friends as well.

So I think there is nothing wrong with attending such events if you have got an invite or a pass to go and spend some time there. If I talk about myself, I would obviously never lose the chance of attending an event where blockchain and cryptocurrencies are going to be discussed, new projects might be announced, etc.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interested in investing in Bitcoin my childhood friend after losing business on: June 17, 2023, 03:26:16 PM
For several days now my friend has been asking me for some advice. Telling me that he wants to invest some of his money, telling me where to invest it. My friend works in a private company and he has saved some money from there. With that money they went into business in a four person partnership, initially he made some profit in the business then he suffered some financial loss. My friend knows that I am involved with Bitcoin. He got some ideas about Bitcoin from me. So he wants to invest money in Bitcoin. I didn't tell him anything about the risk of investing. Since he wants to invest, should I advise him to invest?
What's the fear that you have talking about the risks involved with investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general? What's the worst that could happen? He might change his mind, so what? He needs to know everything before he gets himself involved so that he doesn't call you out later on if his investment doesn't go the way he might have expected, so for the sake of your own safety, you should tell him everything very clearly.

I would suggest you tell him everything you can that you know and then tell him to do his own research for the peace of his mind, because you might tell him everything but he may miss some information from you that he might find somewhere else, so it's always better to advise someone do to their own research as well before making any investments.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 17, 2023, 04:33:10 AM
Nepal loves cricket a lot, and more and more people are getting excited about it. While relatively new to the world cricket, recently got chance to showcase their skills at prestigious events- Asia Cup 2023. However, their opponents both India and Pakistan are known for their high level of cricket. When you arrive at the international stage, even if they are very strong, you should always aim for bigger and better things. There is no limit of any dream, so let's play for the win. This team has the potential to join the top leagues of the ICC, but this will require perfect planning and a focused approach. With proper guidance and support, their cricket can go higher eventually.
There are some countries in cricket who have played for ages but not been able to change their status. However, considering Nepal from that point, they have been able to quickly change their position which is reflected in their performance. There are some batsmen in the Nepal team if they perform good the Nepal become a great opponent against any big team. Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, Gyanendra Malla, Kushal Malla and some other batsmen who are likely to do well.
Even I am not having high hopes for the Nepal as much because most probably they will also go through like we have Bangladesh and Sri Lanka because they are also having few domestic difficulties and finances are also the biggest problem for them with ICC is also not doing as much which is another problem for the many countries but as they have few quality youngsters things can go good hopefully in near future we will have any change in policy for the Asian countries which bring good teams at better place because Asian cricket need the good number of countries which will surely increase their fan base and their finances will be also increased which will help them for doing better in their domestic setup as well.
764  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: June 16, 2023, 05:12:12 PM
I see poverty as the inability to provide what you need. So when people assume that poverty is when you don't have money I don't agree. Now what if you have all you need and you don't require money to buy anything, are you poor? Some people live in communities where everyone lives agrarian life. They have all they need because everything they need to survive is available. Food is on the farm, water available and everybody is happy. Although it was hard during the Covid-19 lockdown many people lived without money. I have also seen many people leaving cities and moving to rural areas to live a natural life.

In summary when you have everything you need to survive and you don't need money, are you poor?
Poverty is when your needs are not completely fulfilled and you can't fulfill them because you don't have enough money or resources for it. If you don't have money but you have everything, and by everything I mean everything that you need in your life, you would probably not call yourself poor because you got everything you need and not only food and water, because we all know that we need way more than that.

So it depends on your personal needs and satisfaction level, if you are totally satisfied with what you have and you feel you need nothing at all in your life other than what you have, you are not poor, but if there is a gap somewhere out there, you are living in poverty.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: June 15, 2023, 07:08:11 PM
However, memecoin is still part of altcoins and altcoins have seasons, namely the altcoin season,
of course there is still hope for memecoin to reach a new all time high,
but we also have to know that what we hope for in memecoin is not from the project or the ROI, but the profit we get and don't be greedy.
I couldn't understand your whole post but yes, meme coins can be called altcoins because every single cryptocurrency apart from Bitcoin is an altcoin, so the meme coins are altcoins as well. But, I don't really think that a meme coin can reach its previous all-time high once it has dipped already because it is not possible for meme coins to gain the same level of hype once again and meme coins only grow in value when they are hyped.

Maybe if a famous celebrity starts promoting a meme coin all of a sudden, that might generate enough hype for it to cross its previous all-time high and gain a value that it has never had, but that is not a very likely thing to happen because no one promotes meme coins.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 15, 2023, 09:35:05 AM
absolutely, and in simple term, you cannot presume a predictable income and steadily if your source is playing the casino with a very unpredictable and unsteady result. You can either win big one time and then lose it all the next if you gamble irresponsibly. If you want the result to be consistent, it's true to manage a casino, or at least manage your gambling like a casino. Treating ievery bet on a series of it not individually, YOu just your wins as a whole. You could have a losing day but overall a wining month. That's what I mean. You can only do that if you manage risk well and you have your gambling systematized.
I don't think that's a simple term but anyway, in gambling, I think we can be able to predict if what will be our income by always playing on a fix odd with a fix amount of bet, capital and number of rolls. I always do that all the time to win a specific amount but of course that is only possible if I get lucky and win my bet. If not, I still end up as a loser which happens most of the times in my case because I am playing on a low win chance game but the return of it is going to be decent once I win.

Losing for a day and winning for the entire month seems good to be true already even for a skilled gambler. Gambling casinos will be in great danger if it's possible.
767  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: June 15, 2023, 05:38:16 AM
A scam casino remains a scam regardless of whether it requires kyc or not, if you don't pass the kyc or don't get the signup bonus it doesn't necessarily mean it's a scam but maybe it's better to look elsewhere
It is obvious that just because someone can't verify their KYC with a platform, it shouldn't be considered a scam. A lot of times, users' KYC applications are rejected for a lot of reasons, mainly because the documents submitted are not clear and aren't readable, or maybe personal details provided don't match with what's written on the documents, and many other reasons could cause this to happen.

As OP said, they didn't specifically refused to pay the money but they rejected the KYC verification and they didn't even ask the support team about the reason or retried, maybe if they did that, they would assist them with it and the verification could get completed.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 14, 2023, 08:38:35 PM
It is too early to talk about the Europa League. We don't know what will happen next season in Europa League. Any team can win the Europa League title. But usually, top-tier teams like Manchester United, Juventus, Barcelona, and Liverpool are not very interested in winning the Europa League title. They target the Champions League title. However, there is nothing surprising if Liverpool's goal is the Europa League next season. Because their overall performance this season was quite poor.
The only thing that is certain is that Liverpool will be there, and everyone is wondering if they will be better than everyone else no matter who comes down to Europa. To be fair they are the team that were finalists of UCL just a season before this one and lost to Real because their goalkeeper were amazing that day. I feel like it's not going to be easy to beat Liverpool that way, it feels like it may take some time.

This is why I believe that we are going to end up with some trouble if we keep this up. I know it's going to be a tough situation to handle, but we need to make sure that it's going as well as hoped for. Liverpool is just too good, which means that if they play well enough, then they may beat everyone they face no matter who they face.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in memecoins profitability on: June 13, 2023, 06:09:49 PM
When i looked into the road map i can't find anything about the future of this project. The road map just talked about the sale and there is nothing about the product she want to offer to public or anything. I don't know why so many investor want to invest on the type of coin like this. I personally better to put my money into the Parlay or roulette.
Humans usually tend to follow the footsteps of someone who got successful because they think that if they do the same things, they will become successful as well but it doesn't really work that way, Something that worked out for someone doesn't need to work out for everyone but everyone will have to find their own thing and do that with all their heart and soul and then they might get success in that.

The same happens with meme coins, once a meme coin got significant success and some people became millionaires due to it and a lot of them became rich, so people follow that thing and hope for the same to happen with every new meme coin being created.
770  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I trade bitcoin? on: June 13, 2023, 03:42:09 PM
First and foremost you must take into account the nation to which you belong because different nations have different cryptocurrency legislation. While cryptocurrencies might be permitted in some nations they might not. It is important to know that Bitcoin and Forex are two different things because you reported having problems with Forex trading and suffering losses. As a result you should become familiar with Bitcoin unique traits such as price volatility, market analysis, current circumstances, and other elements that are important in trading. Only then can you utilise indicators and trading methods that are appropriate for Bitcoin which may not be the same as those used for Forex. Additionally there are a number of trustworthy exchanges, including Binance, Coinbase, MEXC, Kucoin, and more where you may easily trade Bitcoin through the apps for each of them.
Many underestimate it. They did not know that their efforts and profits are still going to waste later on, once they found out that they are trading Bitcoin illegally if they were one of those countries who restricts the use of it. Bitcoin is one of the cryptos while forex is a general term just like crypto. Both of them are the same currencies but cryptos can also be used as an asset.

This is why people can invest on it but in forex, I think people can only trade on it and the volatility rate there is also lesser but that means the risks are also low. So that's their pros and cons. It's up to us now if which we are going to prefer but its also possible to deal to the both of them.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 12, 2023, 04:54:39 PM
Many gamblers then become wiser in gambling, but some continue to gamble even though they have made a promise. It depends on him; somehow, he can forget what he said before, and that's normal.
That can't be avoided when it's like a normal thing for most of the gamblers that have dealt with promising to themselves that will stop after they gamble for the day.

Gambling addiction can be cured, but it depends on each person. And it also takes effort and strong intention to cure gambling addiction; if necessary, he can ask the people closest to him to help him to cure his gambling addiction.
It can be cured and there's hope for those that are addicted but it will take time on how they'll be able to overcome addiction. As someone who deals with gambling addiction, you can't help yourself alone but if you did then you deserve a round of applause.
There are stages to everything, so there are also stages of an addiction, like when you are addicted to gambling, initially, you won't have an extreme level of urge because it is the initial stage of your addiction, but as time goes and if it isn't dealt with on time, the addiction starts to get more severe until it reaches the final stage where the urge to gamble gets to an extreme level which can't be resisted by the addicted person.

If someone gets to know and realizes that they are addicted when they are still at the initial stage, they can help themselves and get out of it, but if someone doesn't realize it on time, they most probably won't be able to overcome the situation themselves.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: June 12, 2023, 03:25:20 PM
then another thing to watch out for is when the project goes down some bounty hunters and investors might panic and sell their tokens.

My experience tells me that sometimes to sell bounty rewards as soon as it hit the exchange may be a good decision. I have noticed some bounty posters who have complained of not making profit from the rewards after they left it believing it will increase and some reduce to nothing after a while. For me I decide not to regret when I take decision to sell.
It is nothing more than stupidity if someone doesn't sell their bounty rewards only in the hope that the price of the token might increase in the future, it barely happens when an altcoin running a bounty campaign gets enough success and the token gains a significantly high value or at least goes higher than where it is at the launch, they mostly tend to lose value over time.

The best way to go about it is to sell it as soon as the token is listed in an exchange because sometimes developers or the team dumps all their tokens as soon as the token gets listed so that they can run away with funds they will receive by selling all their tokens and investors fall prey to that.
773  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lost 2.03 BTC via bitcoinpaperwallet.com Am I wasting my time trying to recover? on: June 12, 2023, 02:32:51 PM
Sometimes software wallets are just better than any of that strange sites on the internet
I know in what sense you are saying that but I still wouldn't recommend anyone using a software wallet for an amount that large because it is also vulnerable to attacks and hacks like this one, though this might be a bit different because the generated seed phrase and private keys might have been available to the website operators and they might be the ones who has used them and withdrew the money from OP's wallet.

Someone having an amount that big should simply not use a wallet generated online because you can't believe anyone on the internet these days even the websites and wallets because they are centralized and they always have your keys so your coins are not safe no matter how safe you keep your keys from your end.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 12, 2023, 04:30:58 AM
I agree that mourinho has some temper issues but i think that the uefa are too lax on Referees and when they commit mistakes altering the outcome of games they do not take the appropriate measures, the chelsea vs barcelona game is a prime example so when managers or players get angry i think they have the right to do so to a certain degree.
This is very important issue and now UEFA needs to check this as well because they are suing technology for all things but still having serious issues which create controversies are never been good for the sack of game we have too many incidents like these which create serious trouble but still no one doing any proper debate about this all and have better use of technology as well which end this all, and we will have things without any big trouble.

José Mourinho and his player's reaction was surely temper issue but why they are having things like this which are not acceptable, hopefully in coming seasons we will be having improvement in referees and their way f managing matches.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 11, 2023, 08:11:25 PM
Newcastle United have the budget to transfer any football player they want from the market. While there are so many young and talented football players, it didn't seem like realistic news to me that they were interested in Harry Maguire. Newcastle United have the possibility to sign Gvardiol, they can do that, why would they sign Harry Maguire? Manchester United signed a 7-year contract with Harry Maguire. Under normal circumstances, Harry Maguire will play for Manchester United for 3 more seasons and his annual salary is really high. I'm sure Manchester United will try everything to get rid of him.
This is realistic news because few weeks back I also read Newcastle United is interested into Harry Maguire, and they also have budget for this as well but right now situation is not clear how things will be work because Eric ten Haq is also not happy with him, but he is not moving this is surely wired right now for many with there is no doubt contract is very long, and they are desperate for offloading him due to his poor performance with lack of confidence is also big problem.

He is already 30 years old, and now his contract is remaining for the 3 more years mean this is prime time for him and if he moves to Newcastle United then surely this could be good for him otherwise he can face problems as well with his position in first eleven is also not clear right now.
776  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 11, 2023, 06:59:34 PM
While trading is a skill that you will learn and understand the basic factors that can hinder your trading not to be successful, a trader can notice it's mistakes after loss and make corrections while a gambler mistakes can't be corrected because it deals with prediction. I notice that people do not put their money much in gambling than trading whereas the risk and loss is more efficient in gambling than trading. When we study trading very well there is no way we can trade in a month without making profit and as a beginner in trading we don't need to start trading with money that we can not afford to loss, while in gambling so many people gamble with their salary and last money. So I prefer trading more than gambling because it is a skill and it can be controlled.
I don't see any reason why one would compare trading with gambling when it is so obvious that gambling is a complete game of luck while trading requires knowledge and experience. There is no need for experience or knowledge in gambling and anyone with luck can win a very big amount of money and someone with a lot of experience and knowledge about gambling and techniques and whatsoever but might end up losing all the time.

Trading can be profitable if you work hard on it, learn doing analysis, understand how the market moves, learn to read charts and much more, if you learn these things, you are guaranteed to get profit if you do things correctly and don't just gamble on newly launched tokens.
777  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: June 11, 2023, 06:44:19 PM
Education can help people understand financial literacy. Through education, people can learn basic financial concepts and skills, understand financial markets, investment strategies, risk management, and better manage their finances.
I believe it's more practice and general knowledge that can make you financially literate even if you are not formally educated, because if you do something again and again, you tend to learn to do that pretty well, while theoretical education can't make you as perfect as practical education can, so one might learn the basics and tools or concepts of financial market and stuff, one will only be financially literate if they practice managing finances and stuff.

General education can provide you with a sense of how you can use different practices to achieve better results but when it comes to finances and their management, you can learn it without having to formally get educated even though it's better if you can afford to do that.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 11, 2023, 06:29:09 PM
India lost 7 wickets only collecting 70 runs .

Anyway congratulations Australia cricket team to win the WTC champion trophy.
I was not expecting result like this with all gone cheaply in first session of final day even all were expected but defeat like this is still not acceptable after having amazing last two years in test format now it's time for having few changes in this format as well because with current team we can compete against top ranked teams like Australia and England even we won last 4 series against Australia at home and in Australia but losing this final like this is surely shameful defeat.

In both innings of this final India play total 132 overs which is surely not ideal for the test format as they were doing amazing stuff at home in last few series, but again SENA factor hurt badly now before new cycle we need change in captaincy and few batsmen surely helpful.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: June 10, 2023, 08:26:14 PM
I see now that Moutinho from Wolves could be the next to join the Saudi League. It’s a real shame Messi didn’t go there but that just proves that money can’t buy everything. It’s a really different life out there but it doesn’t seem to be stopping multiple older stars from swapping Europe for Saudi Arabia. Will be really interesting to see how the league develops over the next few years.
As we have things right now most chances Saudi League could be good for the many players those are not able to have their required response from the UEFA clubs with mostly prefer to this league because of quality and competition level but as Saudis are doing most chances they will be also able to have positive results in coming years but still living here is never been easy for players because its completely different place with few stick rules we have few reports about Ronaldo's wife is also having complaints, but they are trying to adjust just because of this Messi is also not here.

But, now with the money and influence things could be good and surely Saudis will also try to increase quality for having better player from around the world here in this league.
780  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC Lawsuit Against Binance Is Likely To Hit Bitcoin Price on: June 10, 2023, 04:03:35 AM
Originally when this news came out they started a huge sell off but it seems to have settled down and it had a nice pump right after. You need to understand that Bitcoin is global and this is just 1 exchange in 1 country. Other countries aren’t going after binance. So crypto will be fine.

However I think that Binance US won’t continue anymore with all this negative press. The exchange wasn’t that large to begin with anyways. Most people never used it. So everything will be fine after this.

Yeah, as if nothing has reported or there is no such cases against Binance.

I think the effects might be obviously on their US customers and not the entire crypto market and that's why the price is not that affected in the long run. And the lawsuit was not on bitcoin per se, but more on those crypto projects that SEC deem as securities that has been offered by the platform. And this could be the reasons why investors is not being swayed from investing on BTC as of now.
Even if they are targeting the part of the exchange that is operating in the US, it will actually affect the market somehow if things go against Binance because that will create FUD among retail investors and there will also be a lot of sell-offs, people will also sell all their BNBs and BUSDs that they've been having or holding because they will start thinking that things can also go wrong with the global version any time.

Trust is a very sensitive thing and once it's shattered, it takes a lot of time for it to be built back and sometimes it doesn't even be built back at all. So if people start losing trust on the exchange, that will somehow affect the market, maybe not to a large extent.
