1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 20, 2022, 06:46:59 PM
Which problem you are facing right now, BTC is able to fix it ... That's obvious there is no known asset more devisable then BTC if there is then I am not aware of it.  In my view BTC is nothing more then financial freedom and that what matter as if my funds are in my control then what is better then that. So I think BTC don't need us but we need BTC as Satoshi knows everything he might be a genius in Economics.
Let say I have a problem with my wife, can btc be able to fix it? No. What problem btc can solve are only limited or mostly money related since it was a currency. Btc is better than fiat money because they are not tied in the banks or governments therefore we can attain a financial freedom this way but keep in mind that there are now regulations that are popping out in cryptos.

Usually they can be found on the platforms that we are using like centralized exchanges. I think this interferes the true purpose of btc but there is always a way to avoid them. Btc needs us so that btc can become strong and we also need btc to help us solve our issues in terms of finances.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: October 20, 2022, 02:23:51 PM
Indeed for Thailand they are show us if they are growing at the ASEAN level in the last decade. However, even though they are getting stronger in ASEAN, to be honest, I'm not sure about their performance at Asian competitions level. Thailand will lose to compete with the top 5 teams from ASIA such as South Korea, Japan, China, Australia and Saudi Arabia.
That's right, my friend, although Thailand is very good at coaching from a young age and continues to regenerate, if you enter a higher level, you will always have problems with other Asian countries. It must be admitted that for ASEAN countries it is still very difficult to improve until now, because East Asia (China, Japan, Korea) until now still can always perform well.
I agree that the top 5 teams are still held by the state, which is no longer just player development but has entered as a player at a professional level.
ASEAN still has to improve and look for methods that can be appropriate and able to improve in the future
Asia is full of adventures which are not favourable for sports, so they are far behind in soccer as well from Africa because UEFA and CONMEBOL are superior and right now Africa on good development but here we have not strong system and facilities are also not good in many countries which are hurting quality and skills.

Even I have feeling after Japan, Korea and China ASEAN have good potential but still it's a long way to go for them because they need few things which give them strong sponsorships and better quality here we have the biggest issue we never take this sport as big industry as right now Africa doing which will bring good relationship with UEFA because they are the biggest market and have good way of investment as they will import players from here.
1283  Other / Archival / Re: Q4 2022. What to expect from bitcoin? on: October 19, 2022, 08:05:51 PM
I expect Bitcoin price would still stay around $19K-$21K since the economic recession and western economy are still not in good condition, so there's not many huge cash circulation on Bitcoin volume. I heard next year economy will be bad too, Bitcoin might slightly recovering on the next year. Many government also trying to make FUD regarding Bitcoin energy consumption too, so I don't expect Bitcoin price will pump at this and the next year.
There is less money that will enter in btc but many of the btc users would sell some of their btc so to support their life outside making the price of btc decline. If the economy remains the same till next year then I don't think a recovery will happen but the price can rather dump more.

The issue about btc energy consumption isn't new but it was only opened up again after they witness that eth is transferring to proof of stake but I don't think this can contribute a lot in terms of price reduction. Miners can always use renewable energy anyway if they want to and still continue supporting btc. Governments should tell the truth that they only hate btc, not that they look concerned about the environment.
1284  Economy / Economics / Re: Switching The World To Renewable Energy Will Cost $62 Trillion on: October 19, 2022, 05:05:11 PM
62 trillion is a huge amount and I am not sure how this amount is reached! However, even if this happens, that will happen phase wise and not in one go! This will also gradually eliminate the need of traditional energy production which has its own environmental benefits.
It's a huge amount and few countries like Germany is much focused on moving everything to renewable energy. This is gonna cost big, but the capital will be compensated in the long term out of the fund generated. Beyond all the money facts, it makes environment better for human survival.
Germany? But, I thought it was Japan and Singapore are the first countries to be emission free in the next couple of years. I saw that on an advertisement before but I think that was true since all us know how strict and clean that two countries are.

I am not really familiar with Germany but maybe they are also following the footsteps of those said countries. People are aware that some governments are corrupt and they think that it's one of the effects of corruption on why idea's like this (using renewable energies) are not being adopted up to this date. It was not really the high cost but corrupt governments are only using that as an excuse.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 18, 2022, 08:10:41 PM
Brighton actually do play well I was actually surprised when Brighton was beaten by Brentford by 2 goals by I think in this case I think brighton  as an hedge against and still playing 0:0 after half time from the odd the difference is clear given Brighton given Brighton 1.52 and  Nottingham with about 11 odd and Brighton have 4  on target already and Nottingham have 0 shots on target, Brighton with 68 percent ball possession it shows that Brighton is willing to win and predictable might end draw that is football for you, the game is just one of a kind so entertaining.
Today Brighton doing good job in this match and having good control on ball but until 75th minute they fail to convert their any chance which is surely a big setback for them after coach Graham Potter they are playing their third match, and measurably they fail to score any goal which is surely the worst case for them as they were in early weeks many were expecting something special from them, but suddenly change of coach is having the biggest drop for them.

And now they are struggling badly for having any positive result which is not coming and if they keep playing like this then surely this could be serious issue for the new coach and management because results like these can drop them down even they can go near relegation zone as many teams are improving performance and trying to have better position in league table.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: October 18, 2022, 02:46:22 PM
Ecuador will definitely put a fight. Basically any team from South America has the possibility of going to the next stage, they're all pretty good. Brazil and Argentina are outstanding, but the rest of the continent is really good and they have only 2.5 slots to fight for(the other 2 are always taken by Brazil and Argentina) , so usually whoever else qualifies is doing pretty well.

As you say, Senegal is playing well, and Qatar is the host, so that means that it's going to be a tough one for The Netherlands. I don't see them not going to the next stage, but they might end up in second place. And the other team that goes through?, no idea, it's going to be tough, but my guess is Ecuador.
In this group even things are not easy for any team but still we can expect Netherlands as group leader because they are superior in quality and skills from their opponents and for second spot things are not easy because Senegal is African Champions, and they have good improvement in last few years with good players available which have good experience and skills for giving good results and Ecuador is also good team with their aggressive style and quality is also good Qatar which is surely the weakest side can go with home advantage even they still have no good chances for going into next round, but they can give tough competition to all opponents specially Ecuador and this can give good advantage to Senegal for having chance for going into next round because for me, they are superior from their both opponents in current form.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another example is how greed destroy crypto investors. on: October 18, 2022, 06:41:50 AM
Sorry to hear but this is a fact. I have been a victim of this many times, But in forex trading. The point is to learn the lesson no matter how it is learned. The easiest way to avoid this kind of experience I think is if you exit a project and it gets pumped then at least avoid getting into it again or should wait for a long correction.
yes, and that experience seems to almost everyone who has been in the crypto world for a long time. the same thing happened to me too, it's just, the coins I hold, I never sell them, even when they hit high ATH. it made me regret when the price of the coin dumped so far. Even today, I still hold on to it. because from that experience, I always take the opportunity when I have made a profit, and avoid entering a project when the price is still very high, or still reaches its ATH.
So what is your point of buying and hodling if you won't sell them even at their ath? Don't tell me that you are just a coin collector? But I think it won't work on here since cryptos has a lot of supply and there are always people that are willing to sell their coins for some cold cash. What coins was that by the way? If that was btc, eth or other top crypto then the decision of hodling it until now can be fine but if not then you will have a slim chance for them to recover.

You only need a miracle and some whales may try to pump it up. The last thing that you said is correct however there are still people like the op who are tempted to ride a moving train. Some of them are already lucky to earn but they got greedy and expect for more so what they receive instead is a bad karma or a loss.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 17, 2022, 09:22:52 PM
Lewandowski is a fucking clown. He deserves what he got. He made all this mess with the scandalous departure from Bavaria, although he could have played at the highest level for at least a year (and most likely even further) and become the top 1 scorer in Bayern history. Now his achievements look doubtful - yes, he has a good average performance in Barcelona, but in the "big" games his performance sags a lot.
Barcelona have a formal chance of reaching the next round, but what can they do there with such a rotten game?
I doubt that they would win enough games to go to next stage, but at the same time I wouldn't be really that hard on bayern neither, it just doesn't feel the same way. I mean Lewandowski is a person and he has every right to go to any team he wants.

This isn't talked about when players go back to their childhood club, like if today Ronaldo decided to leave for sporting, nobody would say a thing because it’s obviously not for achievement but because it’s his childhood club, and sort of same happened for United too. But when Lewa wanted to move to Barcelona, why did people assume it was for success or traitor to bayern? Bayern is a better club anyway, he just wanted it for personal reasons.
1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 17, 2022, 07:29:01 PM
That's just my thoughts. Maybe by 2024, unless all hell breaks loose.

As long as internet keeps chugging along though, BTC will prevail. Smiley

I won't predict what will be the all-time low this bear season and what will be the all-time high next bull season, because predictions are just predictions, let them happen naturally. But I will agree with you that bitcoin will rise again is a certainty and bitcoin will continue to stay with us over time, as long as our need remains, bitcoin will always be there.

The price increase will be meaningless if you don't own any bitcoins, so the first priority right now is to hold bitcoins, have you filled your bitcoin wallet yet? if not, buy now and don't stop if it continues to fall, the more bitcoin falls after that, the stronger the upside momentum. Don't miss this golden moment.
It's more easier to predict the atl because the price is already low than the ath because we are far from it. It's hard to say that we can go till 300k when we never touch 100k yet. I think ill only believe on the op's claim once it happened first. Btc is not a god that will stay and provide you the things that you want so don't ask or expect too much on it especially if you don't do something to help the price rise like buying and hodling.

There are people who only watch out the price of btc but they don't invest so it's fine for them seeing btc rise but for us who are solid btc supporters then many of us already bought btc before or by the time the bear started.
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Back To Promoting Doge as a Payment Method for New Cologne on: October 16, 2022, 08:48:51 PM
Maybe he find expensive to manipulate bitcoin that's why he find more cheaper coins which is not controlled by anyone and easily to be manipulate. For sure he needs more profit that's why he goes back promoting doge again.

For now will see some constant changes to the doge since I want to ride what Elon Musk doing at the moment. Also for new players of doge be careful not to hodl to much since whenever Musk start to manipulate for sure he is the one who will dump it once Doge price rise up for more.
Doge coin's value might be cheap but its supply is much bigger than in bitcoin. The supporter of doge coin is also huge so I think manipulating this coin is also hard as btc most especially now that people have woken up from the reality and they are now aware that Elon is not really their ally.

Elon is a rich guy so saying that he needs more profit sounds a little bit weird but it can also be possible because Elon have different deals and last time he planned to buy twitter so that would have costed them huge amounts of money. Good luck to you by the way on what you are planning. I hope you will be successful with it even if I am not that bullish with doge.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can someone explain to me why did ETH drop after the merge? on: October 16, 2022, 08:06:53 PM
There is no reason besides the market conditions that are being bearish that makes the price of ETH drop after Merge, and many analysts say that Merge Eth does not really have any impact let alone affect investors to buy ETH, everything is normal because the market conditions that are still bearish make ETH drop after Merge.
Merger doesn't have any impact on ethereum? Who told you so and is he an expert or just an idiot who talks nonsense? Merger has a very positive impact on ethereum, in addition to reducing eth supply, it also makes eth eco-friendly when moving to POS. The only problem with eth is that the move to POS has become more centralized and this is disliked by many.
I think what he mean there is there aren't any "negative" impact. It won't be called a merge for no reason but there are noticeable effects on it on eth and few of them is already given above by you though I don't think the supply of eth have reduced but they only make it more known while it's true that proof of stake is more friendly to the environment than proof of work.

They say that the merge make eth more centralized but a lot of us won't really care at all because even before, we already consider eth to be like that (centralized) and this is why we avoid it at all cost. Those who wonder why eth price pumps and dumps didn't realize this yet.
1292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trading profitable? on: October 16, 2022, 06:53:21 PM
It was profitable depending on what strategy you have been following. Most newbies are doing this just for the sake of having an experience but of course, not all it works so well and fast adoption that even it was profitable, losses are still there. But I think the idea to keep doing this is not good as it encourages to make our own strategy because the market behavior has changed and we need also to adapt to the condition of the market making these old strategies may not work well.
Follow trading is never been a good thing on making yourself learn about it.Its better to stick into manual.Main reasons on why newbies do tend to follow is that they are
going for the easiest way on making profits and this is where things ends up on which they do plan to follow someone.I do hear off on eToro which there are lots of feedbacks
that there are people who do really make money with that but i dont really believe that it is really that something worth to do so.
People who are on those been followed are the ones who really make money due to those fees i believe.
Maybe there are pro traders who can explain on why they did that move, if that so then it's possible to learn on them but I think most copy trading doesn't work like that. You can only copy the outcome of their analysis. This is why it's better to learn on our own. As usual, there will always be people who look for shortcuts. They don't want to venture the hard road so they will use a copy trade.

Etoro has this service but the reviews that they put can be one of their ways to market this service. They and the trader that is been followed are mainly the ones who earn a profit. Those who pay for such service can make a profit but that will be greatly lessened due to fees.
1293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins? on: October 15, 2022, 09:54:02 PM
Problems with altcoins are: You can get high ROIs with them, higher than with Bitcoin in a few weeks, a few months; but when the trend is broken, you will lose more with altcoins. Another problem with altcoin investors is: they believe too much in altcoins and they hesitate to cut loss, to exit early. Therefore, when they get loss with altcoins, it should be -50%, -90% or even higher.
Altcoins are not something you should stick and be loyal to. We have to be reminded that they come and go. They're usually short-lived. So they should only be treated as milking cows. When playing with altcoins, good entry and exit points should be well-plotted in advance. By the time a good profit is achieved, altcoins should be dumped as quickly as they're acquired. They shouldn't stay in wallets for long. After all, they're only there so that your Bitcoin value increases. Bitcoin is still the ultimate goal.
Depends on what is that altcoin you are talking about. If that alt is shady then yes, they are not worthy for long term investing but if that alts are the common alts that we know i.e eth and bnb then these coins are fine to hodl for a long time. A good entry point is usually done when the coins value is dumping or when the market is in bear phase and for the exit point, it's when their price are pumping or when the market is in bull phase.

Alts aren't created to help btc increase its value but btc is actually the one that helps alts to increase their value. Now you know the drill. We shouldn't invest more in alts but we should put more money in btc so that alts can benefit as well.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 15, 2022, 06:30:41 PM
Leverkusen have been in poor form this season. Leverkusen won only 2 matches out of 9 matches. Leverkusen conceded 16 goals in 9 matches. Their defense is very weak. However, Frankfurt have managed to win their last two home matches against Leverkusen. They beat Leverkusen 5-2 in their last home match. And so today's match seems more likely for Frankfurt to win.
What you said really happened today where Frankfurt were able to win a lot against Leverkusen which even I was a little surprised to see the total score for both, because these two teams are not very good in the Champions League group this season. But if Frankfurt can be better and focus on the Bundesliga this season, then there is still another chance next season in the Champions League although for this season both are very difficult to qualify for the next round.
After change of coach and having good result in last match there were some expectations things could be no worst as they were in past but surely right now defense is the biggest concern for them, and they need to work on this if they want to compete in this German Bundesliga as now they have no chance in Champions League with already fourth in their group, so new coach surely needs sometime for having better strategy which give them better results in coming matches which is not easy in current situation.

Management is also concerned about things happening in club, and they are going to have few good changes in coming transfer window but still they need to give time to Alonso for bringing positive results because start of this season was the worst, and they are still having after shocks which will go behind but take time.
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Classic - Take profit or hold? on: October 15, 2022, 04:59:03 PM
I was never one thinking it would reach $1 again , I am happy if it reaches $0.005 but even that is starting to look like a struggle as we have had lots of 'good news' lately and the price is going down not up.

I know there are a lot of people against Luna now but for those who are invested and holding , what is your plan?
Why only pull out $100 right after every pump. What if you just pull out all the capital that you have invested? And I think you will still be left out with more luna coins. You can then hodl it as long as you want and you will never have regrets anymore even if it dumps and won't recover. And what is that good news you are talking about? We don't have any lately but what we only have are negative news.

You know the new rumored war, the recession, inflation and many more. There's also news which are only specific for luna but it was a negative one, and that is authorities are now hunting do kwon (the founder of luna). With that kind of news, do you still think the price of luna will rise? No way.
1296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: October 14, 2022, 07:23:33 PM
I believe that every trader and investor should remain optimistic about the market now and in the future. Price correction can happen and vice versa better potential can also be achieved, that is the most likely thing to happen to bitcoin.

I finally have to say YES, bitcoin still has the potential to bottom out again for the rest of 2022.
No one should be optimistic yet about Bitcoin, such might be disastrous. What I could advise is for everyone to always reanalyze the market on the daily basis, which is the only way we will not make mistakes. The Bitcoin that was bullish yesterday might be bearish today, so we have to be careful and dynamic.
I am bullish and I am not really keen on waiting, realize that bullish trend people do not really worry about it when it is bearish. Because, when you want bullish but bear happens, you can buy more and wait for the bull to come, the opposite is not possible.

If you are a bearish person and it goes up, you missed your chance, you have to wait for it to come down again and up again, we wait only the up, they wait down and up back to back, which is a lot harder and takes a long time. We had a huge crash, from 68k to under 20k, it’s not really shocking to expect it to go back to 60k+ which means that there is a good chance I will make 3x profit, I just don't know when.
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My exorbitant lessons in last bull market on: October 14, 2022, 06:43:53 AM
1. I watch YouTube videos of people gambling on meme coins with just 100$ and making thousands of dollars, I did the same and I ended up with tokens that I can't sell on an exchange, buying works but not selling.

2. Friends told me that Vitalik have promised Proof of Stake on Ethereum for years and it never came to past, I believe them and invested in Eth mining equipment, I am now selling to gamers since they are not profitable, not even a bit.

3. 100k per BTC nearly brainwashed me, I escaped this though but I really believed it, if I had some funds at the time I might have invested on BTC at ATH, thinking its going to 100k.
1) You cant sell your coins because the exchange was a scam? or maybe the coin have been delisted immediately because it didn't have any volume/liquidity anymore and you are only late to realize it. You know, meme coins can come and go easily, especially if they are popular. There is no need to wait for more people to invest on it because the devs already got their desired profit and they are now ready to exit.

2) Your mistake is that you are late again. You think eth won't transfer to POS because that is what your friend told you but later on it did came true but I think your machine can still be use for mining other coins.

3) Everyone believes on that actually. It may have failed last bull but I am sure that btc will resume its failed mission on the next bull.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 13, 2022, 04:22:48 PM
Lazing is something that is detrimental, free time is wasted, and afterwards regrets. Our hope is success in the future. But if all we do is laze around all the time, it will have an effect when we are adults. In my opinion, life requires hard work, if you want to make something happen. If you continue to be in your comfort zone, without doing something it will be in vain.

We have to explore our abilities. So that our abilities will grow. And don't just stand still. so that we produce something from our abilities.
It's not bad to be lazy sometimes. It helps you relax during your free time but this should not be abused. We need to spend most of our times on the things that is truly beneficial for us. It can be in a job where you can earn a guaranteed income.

It only boils down on handling your money. If you can't handle it well and spend it on the things that you don't really need or to the things that doesn't create a value overtime, then you will likely remain broke even if you already have a job and you are earning regularly but it is better than those who don't have any job at all. They are the ones who are literally broked. They are the ones who are literally lazy.
1299  Economy / Speculation / Re: what is the bottom of this bear market BTC on: October 13, 2022, 02:14:34 PM
Lets poll the lowest BTC price can expect this bear market
Though Bitcoin is unpredictable I think, that's unlikely to happen.

Bitcoin price candle this month was played at the range of $18.5k to $20k and it was never down beyond $15k and I think that will not happen.

Do you think it could be a bullish sign this month the hack happened on Binance recently?  It's $100M and it could be converted into Bitcoin.
I think OP is too late to ask this because the price is now getting stable and a lot of us are expecting for a bullish move starting in the beginning on this month and onwards. We have reached the lowest of btc this year and that is when the price plunges to $16k and I think it's safe to assume that it was the bottom of btc. The hack incident is not a sign of being bullish but it's a negative event and this could discourage people of putting their money here in crypto.

I also don't think that binance will convert those stolen bnb into bitcoin. They even removed usdt last time. All what they want is to become number one so they will value their own products more than the others.
1300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never sell for a loss - is a Myth !! on: October 13, 2022, 01:16:04 PM
People that do such act I think is not by their wish it depends on the situation at hand, people don't like to lose no matter how they will think of alternatives way unless there is no option. So I don't think it deliberately they most be reason for that incident. I think no one pray for loss.
No other people do the act, only them so it was their own wish because if they didn't then they will never sell their coins no matter what happens or no matter what are the conditions of the market. There are people who work depending on the situation like they can hodl longer or can sell early but trading was never meant to be situational.

In trading, one must buy and sell continuously no matter what are the circumstances are. That is they can sell even at a loss to be able to buy again at lows because they know that they can they can still recover it or they can also switch up on other cryptos. Never sell for a loss is not a myth but it's a fact for some of us.
