1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 21, 2022, 08:34:41 AM
Women cricket should be given equal importance as that of the men's cricket. This isn't happening in reality, very few boards have done it in the right way. Most of the Asian cricket boards, particularly Indian board is much focused on money. Now the prime focus is to make money and if the women's IPL turns to be a success, the women cricketing will get importance. If not, they're supposed to be the same as now.
I also agree with that its should be equal importance to both gender as same in cricket. But in reality it doesn't happen except few countries are exceptions. Women's cricket is not given much importance because its viewers are less and hence the possibility of loss is more for more invest in it, so women's cricket is given less importance for this.  Moreover, if we see that most of the girls are less interested in cricket or this type of sports. But time changed now womens are also showing interest in games and the situation is slowly improving.
In many countries of Asia and Africa it has never been easy to allow women's to play like men's on streets even on grounds because we have not developed mindset which must for this all even in developed world not happening because these things have many negative aspects as well, so mostly women's can do these sports under roof or indoor system which helping them for improving their skills and technique but in this region it has never been easy as many members mention in above posts life is never been easy in this region with religion and area issues hurting badly.

Even now developments happening but still very long way to go for having positive results and better things for this all because right now we have best sporting culture in the USA, and they are also not having results like men's sports which is dilemma for them but if we will be able to have few things hopefully these will open the doors like WIPL is also coming in India.

Netherlands has been playing cricket for a long time but there is no improvement in their game. There are various reasons behind this. Notable among them is that the residents do not take cricket very seriously. As a result there is no interest among newcomers. If new cricketers are not created then it is not possible to expect improvement in cricket. It is not possible to select good cricketers where there are no cricketers. If the attraction of cricket among the local people can be increased then it is possible to improve their cricket. But another thing is to note that if they can't do anything in cricket, they are trying to do better, which can be considered as a positive aspect.
Netherlands and cricket is having very long relationship, but sadly they have never been good team due to lack of interest and having better infrastructure into the Netherlands but now with the introduction of t20 we can expect good changes which will bring better finances and results as well for the local players with mostly they have native players those are involved in different domestic leagues it's good for them to have better results in near future right now they are having 17th rank in ODI and 15th in T20i which mean we can expect good changes and better quality and performance which will encourage next generation which will have better results as well right now mostly are involved in Soccer and Field Hockey.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 20, 2022, 08:03:51 PM
I am shocking with Karim Benzema decision retired from France national team after World Cup, he retired at 35 years old and try keep focus with Real Madrid until ended his football career. I think one years later have EURO 2024, Karim Benzema has potential make last appearance with France national team depend has consistency performance with Real Madrid.

Retired still possibility returning back with several player announced have retired from their national team, but few months later with new manager change they try to comeback for national team, I hope Karim Benzema can close his football career at national team with trophy and EURO 2024 become great opportunity.
He might be thinking of giving up his position for someone better and younger than him, that's normal for Benzema. However, of course he can still play at a good level as a French striker than Giroud in my opinion. Should Benzema really want to return, he might return as Messi has done before.

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next, but it's clear Benzema is pretty devastated based on what he wrote on Twitter recently.
For me this is the best decision and on right time because he is already 35, and now we have Euro2024 which mean he could be 37 and with his injuries most chances he can't give his best, so now he has good time for staying at Real Madrid for one or two more seasons and then announces his retirement from all type games because as he is having injuries it has never been ideal situation to stuck a place which can filled by a better player for the long run.

Now this is crucial time for him at Real Madrid as well because they need good results and his strong presence for the better performance in coming matches and his injuries are not allowing to do things like these easily hopefully in coming weeks things could be improved, and he will be able to give his best at Real Madrid.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I be worried? on: December 20, 2022, 11:32:34 AM
Artificial Intelligence is something that may never work out because it's dangerous, if some one like Elon Musk could confirm this then it's something humans should stop dreaming of, Metaverse is not like A.I so yes it can easily work out compare to A.I because it's a lot safer.
Why not? We already have different AIs and many of them are useful for the humans as it can help us do some things consistently. I think those who think negatively are just paranoid and have watch too match of those AIs in the movies that kill people, something like the terminator.

Those that we see in the movies are mostly fictional and can't possibly occur in real life so you guys shouldn't worry a lot. Instead why can't you just think about the positive things that they can bring to us? Metaverse is like a virtual reality so yeah it is not the same as the AI but there are still dangers on them because sometimes it requires you to wear a head gear and you won't see what is happening in the real world.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: December 20, 2022, 08:43:36 AM
Let's see what Juventus will do on one hand. We are mostly talking about Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona. Because they are obviously the biggest favourites of the Europa League title. One of them is already about to be eliminated though but still. Juventus are one of the teams that shouldn't be underestimated here. I can agree that they weren't impressive in the Champions League at all. They showed very poor performances in big matches and they even had difficulties against Maccabi Haifa.

But I still want to believe they have a potential here. Because after being eliminated from the Champions League, they started to get positive results many weeks in a row. Their Serie A performance has been fascinating in the recent times. If they get rid of this crisis quickly I think they could be one of the serious candidates for the Europa League title.
Right now, Juventus situation is not good and clear for the title race here in UEFA Europa Cup because they are improving in their Italian League and still needs more improvement and better performance for the stay into top ranks with many other teams are also determined for having better results even their first game is against Nantes, and they can win this easily, but after these things are not easy with many teams are having better quality and performance with Juventus which is clearly just touching better results will not take any risk for having bad results into Serie A even they can go until quarterfinal because after this surely games could be more tough and challenges could be also not easy for them to stay here for title race.
1146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 19, 2022, 10:21:39 PM
Roma team are the team that needs most improvements  among the top teams their recent performance is really poor they didn't win in the last three serie A games and in the friendlies they can't even beat weaker opponents they need some new players in all positions but especially in the defence and midfield.
Roma performance this season is becoming worse, no sign of improvement.  Roma was never like this last season they were among the tough teams in the italian league , but this season Roma is becoming one of the weak teams in the league. Their defence is poor , it needs to be improve .
Before start of this season mostly were feeling AS Roma could be title contender in this season, but sadly they are badly failed and now fighting hard for having spot into top six which is looking not easy because their performance is not good enough in last five games they have just five points which are not near the best for having spot into top six teams in Serie A.

If they are not able to improve their performance after this break into near year then surely they are going to be had no chance for European competitions in next season Roma surely have few good players, but Mou strategy is not working for them after winning last year's UEFA Europa Cup they need more firepower in their attack if they want to win against big teams.

The fact that we are in the crypto market makes it more difficult for us to understand whom to believe and whom not believe. The market is huge and it’s bumpy ride all the way. It’s up to us how to make money out of it. We can either keep talking the obstacles, difficulties and volatility or we just straight away jump into it and keep buying more coins. I mean we only loose when we sell the coins which is the oldest saying here and from the fellow members. I would always like to believe them and kee holding until I get best profits out of it.
If you are a newbie in here, then that will be the case that can happen to you. You will get confused and you will end up believing on the wrong people but for someone who is not new in here, they can easily do a research and confirm the rumours that they see if it was only a lie/fud or it was a real thing already. They can then base their actions according to it.

Anyone that is involved here and stay in the game, are going to face the obstacles and difficulties. There is no shortcut in here. The last thing that you said will only depend on the coin that we hold. What if you hold a shitcoin? The best thing to do with a shitcoin is to sell them immediately.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 19, 2022, 09:12:52 PM
This again shows that Pakistan is weak in their batting side not only in ODI and T20 format but also in Test format.  And here the dependence on Babar Azam is also noticeable. But it is true that  Shakil was also good in todays series. But currently England need only 55 run to win and I think it will be pretty  for them cause they have more 8 wicket in hands.
Pakistan are almost out of the WTC race thanks to this loss and they are performing like crap in the test format, but this doesn't imply that their performance is bad in the ODI and T-20 formats too.

They reached the final in the recent T-20 World Cup and they defeated teams like Australia, West Indies etc in recent ODI tournaments which proves my point.
Pakistan domestic set up is completely joke as few months back we have few changes which were going to help them for having better results, but now change of government mean they are again having change in their set-up as well which is indicating how strong political influence is working in this system which is not allowing them to have better strategy and development for improvement of the game and performance with the lost of this series now WTC final is already ended even now they will be ended at the spot of 6 or 5.

White ball is completely different format where you can adjust quickly, and you have few options but here in red ball you have to go with better technique and skills which must but after this series I have feeling their domestic set up is surely crap, and they need long time for having better results in this red ball format.
1149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here is my analysis about btc on: December 19, 2022, 05:35:34 PM
we are starting the month when there is more demand for everything, shopping and everything, it may be that we will hear negative news and yes, Bitcoin may continue to fall, but this may be momentary, because throughout December people are spending, the people get into buying and this could make bitcoin go up a bit, just for the season, that possibility fits and there is another positive thing, the fact that we are in the middle of the world cup, that makes a lot of money move and at great levels and one of the Maeras is with casinos, with sports betting that has a lot to do with crypto and bitcoin, so there are two very positive factors.
I think this December we have here is different from the ones that we have in the past because there's a lot of negative things that occurred this year, whether in the crypto world or in the real world and that have affected the people financially so they might be budgeting now rather than shopping recklessly in preparation for the main event which was Christmas and New-Year.

I don't know if the World Cup have done some contributions in Bitcoin's value because its price seems to be at the same level and it did even fall some. Maybe it did contributed on other cryptos because there are so many cryptos that can be used to place a bet online.
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 17, 2022, 09:02:59 PM
This player is not going to make a difference to the competition of the current season. It could be a long-term player. Real Madrid already has a very strong team in the league. Vinicius has also become very good in recent years. And he's not that old at all. Only Atletico Madrid managed to break through the monopoly with a title in the La Liga 3 seasons ago. And I don't know how long Xavi can stay at Barcelona, he will have to win prizes one day. He has received quite a lot of praise with his way of playing, but as a board you want to win prizes. That is ultimately the only thing that matters and what you will be judged on.
We have too much speculation about Real Madrid future after Karim Benzema injury even we all know they are capable of having better results from their current squad without any issue because they have enough quality players those can give their best for achieving good results but still media is talking about much about few things which are not discussed able with Barcelona is currently leaders in La Liga with just two points difference, and we can expect changes in league table because Real Madrid can fight back with now again we have only two teams fight for the title Atlético Madrid is struggling badly, and they are not strong enough for having better results, but Real Madrid is surely not easy team specially as right now they are defending their two titles.
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We No Longer Pay People Directly on: December 16, 2022, 08:19:43 PM
The less we use cash, the more we pay people through a corporation. The last remaining use of cash and direct payments is Tipping.
Everything else we must pay through a corporation. We cannot pay another human unless there is a corporation involved. As cash disappears this becomes a final fact -- a corporation involved in every financial transaction you pursue. In each transaction, the corporation is taking their percentage but also controls and monitors your transaction.
I am pretty sure that mobile payments will become even bigger than everything else. We may not be aware of it right now, but almost all banks either have it or working on it where you as the vendor will show a QR code, and the payer will open up their bank app and just read the qr code and confirm the payment and that's it.

No more of this old card stuff, just our mobile phones will be enough. This already started and will be huge. During this period crypto will become huge as well because we will be able to pay with crytpo apps instead of bank apps and just pay the vendor. That future is great, I want to be in that future and it looks to be great.

Honestly it would be highly possible to make the whales powerless by wide adaption. It has been long discussed fact that whales will lose control over the time when more small individuals take part in bitcoin market. It is a matter of time and in my opinion, mid to small whales are not in controlling action any more.

This is not possible because only one individual can't control the market increase or decrease, so it should be a thing that is generally controlled the major holders. Mid whales don't really have any say over the market anymore, the we have more holders the more less the whales becomes because lot of people buying bitcoin.
But he didn't say one individual. What he said is wide adoption, then more small individuals. One or few individuals can beat whales if these individuals are too powerful enough or wealthy. They can easily counter what the whales are trying to do. A hodler is different from a buyer. There might be a combination of both but for those who only want to buy a coin, they will likely be having a tough time doing it anymore once people became a hodler.

The only best thing that whales can do this time is to sell their bags and I think that still can shake the market but not as heavy as before because people won't panic anymore and will do the same thing.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 16, 2022, 08:54:56 AM
Ok, suddenly the casino you're playing asks you for proof of income to be able to withdraw your winnings and to keep your account in good standing, your bankroll every month is $500 and you provide proof of salary that you are making $500 net every month, will they accept that proof will they accept that you are putting all your salary for gambling, will this violate the principle of gamble for fun, because you are working to gamble based on your proof income.
Well it's hard to believe that you're using your whole salary for gambling. How about your other expenses? Are you going to rely on your gambling winnings to have such decision to gamble it all? Anyway, I don't think there's a casino who would care on where their players getting their money to deposit. Isn't it good for them that their players are consistently playing and spending their money on their platform? Because it's none of their business. But is this based on your own experience in a specific casino?
I think he was only using that as an example because no one in their right minds gambles all their salary and we don't even have a full salary because there will always be deductions for it. Proof of salary/income was only one of the options that some casinos are asking for their KYC verification.

They need to ensure that all the money that is being put on them are clean and doesn't came from illegal activities. I think this was also being ordered by the government so even if they like to cater all types of players to be able to earn more, they can't possibly do it. Earning small is better than not being able to operate and earn nothing at all.
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 15, 2022, 09:29:16 PM
if we have $3000 monthly income maybe I will be able to save the amount mentioned by OP. But unfortunately not everyone can produce that amount. Like me for example, back when I was still working at a company, I only made less than $ 1000 per month, to be honest it made me not stop thinking about looking for additional income to cover what was sometimes lacking for my needs in a month. It's not that I can't save, but as you said, my savings are not very consistent and sometimes I can't even save with my income at that time.
Even not exactly $3k, I think it's possible for us to save even the tiniest amount only like a dollar or two. Some think that it's too small and doesn't make sense at all but this is what actually savings all about. You set aside money that are not in need or also called as residual money. If you will save for a very long time then those amounts could still grow huge.

It's also okay to be not consistent with our savings. I know there are really tough times where every penny counts and maybe some of us will pull out some of what they save in their banks/piggy banks but I think this is fine and this might be one of the purposes of saving money. To get something for emergency.
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) Price Prediction. Will LUNC price hit $0.001 in 2022? on: December 15, 2022, 09:12:53 PM
I think LUNC will slowly recover (especially with burn program) but it will never reach $1 which a lot of Luna Classic fans believe Cheesy
after what had happened? burning will do nothing for best recovery and also the LUNA scam issue is still lingering in every side of crypto so how could someone need to invest with this when there are lot of coins/project to choose that is more safer than this?
I think the only people that will have an interest to invest on this coin are the pump seekers especially if there is a positive update about the coin. They will then think that it will rise so they will hop in before it happens. When it rise successfully, they will then sell it and leave. There is no one who will take this coin seriously and make it as a long term investment because this coin have no utility.

It doesn't attract serious investors. Not only for this coin but also in any other coins, I aways see people requesting for a burn in supply. I think those people knows nothing about investing. They think burning is the only thing that will make the price rise but no it isn't.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 14, 2022, 08:24:21 PM
What has been noticed from here is that it is possible for those who are excited about the exchange to buy so the price may go down and it may take some time for them to start pumping again.  Feel better than
if that is the case then why struggle in this coin when there are lot of currency in crypto to choose from?

I'm not saying that this coin is truly bad but there are so much to choose from mate with high potential of bringing you profit in long term more than waiting for this one to win the battle against the SEC of US.

anyway I'll respect each stand about what coin to invest but for me? maybe I'll pass on this one.
I don't know if when will the battle of XRP versus SEC will end. This one seems taking forever. Are XRP investors not bored about it? And what if their wait is not worth it because XRP could also lose the battle?

I think it will only cause them a total disappointment and possibly more losses because the value of XRP can surely drop after that and then it may get delisted later on but in case XRP wins, then congrats but I don't know if there are increases that will happen after that because I know that a lot of people are not a fan of this coin even before. @shawon01 if an exchange buys a crypto then the value of that crypto will rise, not fall.
1157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 2023 on: December 14, 2022, 05:50:21 PM
The rise will be inevitable in the long run as the supply of Bitcoin is slower than those who demand it every year. Experts expect a global recession in 2023 which means the entire market will come to a standstill. If i'm going to estimate the value i can't give an exact number but i think Bitcoin and the crypto market will maintain stabilization for 2023. Assuming that the other variables are constant. We are waiting for a year when people who harm crypto will be wiped out of the market. Hopefully by the end of 2023 the bulls will move.
Not just the rise but the fall is also going to be inevitable. It happens for so many reasons and one of it is like you said because of the recession. There's also manipulations caused by whales. The BTC supply doesn't get slower as it goes but rather it gets smaller while the demand continues to rise.

This is one the reasons on why BTC value can increase. I think we are already suffering from recessions right now but if it continues till next year then what wasn't good. Cryptos values are still going to be the same or worse they may decline even more because people are going to sell some of their coins in order to survive the ongoing crisis.
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: December 13, 2022, 09:32:01 PM
I agree, it is 12th of march so it is not too far away and it should be known already who would be winning by just simply watching the films. Some of them barely get released right now and that is something I feel like a trick, you have like a circuit, a whole tour where the movie that will win the oscar usually released in a cannes or toronto or whatever and then you end up with something much bigger than that at first, and then just as the year is getting over, you end up with a release, in December or late November so you would win.

I personally feel like anyone who gets released in May rarely has chance to win an Oscar, probably they know it too.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange will go out of business if every Bitcoin is hold in private wallet on: December 13, 2022, 09:06:03 PM
Bitcoin is already winning the war against the centralization of Bitcoin services, and a lot of Bitcoin holders are beginning to realize the safety of their Bitcoin when it is off the exchange and kept in a private wallet. You only send real Bitcoin when you do it on a p2p level and you don't own Bitcoin when your coins are stored on an exchange all you have is just promises and not Bitcoin if your Bitcoin is on the third party exchange.
I have understand the point you are trying to make, obviously your point has been narrated some years back, because i have come across of this particular statements of not leaving your Bitcoin in an exchange because it can be hack or lost at any point in time, the process whereby your coin can be served is the process whereby your keep your coin a wallet is not exchange.
Not only in the past but even until now, statements like that are always being repeated and serves as a reminder for those who forgot it and also for those who are new in cryptos. BTC being pulled out inside a crypto exchange and then kept in a personal wallet is a good idea but it doesn't remove the fact that we will not be hacked anymore or lost our coins. We still can if we are careless on what we are doing.

This is why in everything that we do, we must always be cautious and do a research first if you are not familiar on that thing your are dealing with. Double checking things (i.e if the wallet address is correct) before sending a coin is another thing that we should practice.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 12, 2022, 09:44:22 PM
Everyone keeps saying that it is his last world cup, and maybe he thinks that way as well, but are we 100% sure about that. Like lets say 4 years down the road he gets a good deal from USA as well, MLS does pay a good amount, and after his Al-Nassr (as far as I know this is not sure thing) career is over, and Portugal has a great team, and he could be just a bench player for that Portugal team?

I mean not saying he would be a starter, he wasn't starter for the last 2 games of this world cup neither, but after all he has done, I am sure they could find a roster spot for him to come and be with the team if he is still actively playing. Dude is like 37-38 or something, which means he should be 41-42 at most, and he could still play that age, look at Ibrahimovic, he still plays and so can Ronaldo.
Now after two months he will be 38 mean now if he wants to play world cup then he needs to fit himself for next four years and with age of 42 he can give for his country which is surely not possible because during this time any injury or other problem can hurt him and most chances he can play nearly 2 or 3 years more than no team will be keep him now he is under rumours for the Chelsea transfer which is not clear and if this not happen than surely most chances he will go to MLS which will be also good for him and his future because money and better play time both available in the USA, and then he can take good experience for playing into MLS if he is able to perform better and can do good things in future for any UEFA club as well as we have Ibrahimović who is doing good job for AC Milan with coming into play in January or February 2023.
