Κλαίω με τον θεούλη που το σκέφτηκε αυτό: https://thenextweb.com/news/bitcoin-satoshi-vision-bsv-activity-transactions-weather-cryptocurrency-blockchain  Εντωμεταξύ κανείς BSV supporter δεν μας έχει απαντήσει ΤΙ θα γίνει αν (υποθετικά μιλώντας) το BTC αυξήσει το block size στα 4GB... Τι ρόλο θα βαράνε μετά τα BCH/BSV;  Είναι σαν να λέμε να ανέβει ο βασικός μισθός στα €1700 (βασικό αίτημα της Παπαρήγα). Ε πείτε μου μετά τι ρόλο θα βαράει το ΚΚΕ και η «αντιπολίτευσή» του!  Γιατί blockchain fork με duplication των tokens (τα BTC να γεννήσουν ίσο αριθμό BCH/BSV) γίνεται τεχνικά, ενώ blockchain merge δεν γίνεται (τα BCH/BSV να ξαναγίνουν BTC)... ας με διορθώσει κάποιος αν κάνω λάθος. Δεν ξέρω, εμένα η όλη φάση με τα shitforks μου θυμίζει θρησκευτικές αιρέσεις (Ιεχωβάδες/Πεντηκοστιανοί που κάνουν zoom in σε επιλεγμένα σημεία των Γραφών, dejavu με τον Satoshi?) και κόμματα (ΚΚΕ μ-λ, ΚΚΕ εξωτερικού/εσωτερικού, ΚΚΕ σοκολάτα/φράουλα/βανίλια  ). Η διάσπαση/βαλκανοποίηση είναι στο ανθρώπινο DNA, δεκτό, αλλά δυστυχώς δεν βοηθάει σε κάτι και απλά αποδυναμώνει το όλο κίνημα... Είναι πολύ λίγες οι περιπτώσεις όπου το fork επικράτησε έναντι του original (π.χ. LibreOffice vs OpenOffice). Στο τέλος-τέλος η αγορά (δηλαδή ο κόσμος) θα κρίνει ποιό είναι το κυρίαρχο branch (BTC > BCH/BSV, OpenOffice < LibreOffice). Το ίδιο ισχύει και στην φύση όταν ένα είδος κάνει branch out συγκριτικά με ένα προγενέστερο. Μπορεί να πετύχει/επιβιώσει ή μπορεί και όχι (στα πλαίσια της φυσικής επιλογής). Πάντως σαύρες και πουλιά να ξαναγυρίσουν στον αρχέγονο κοινό πρόγονο δεν παίζει... Πολύ φοβάμαι ότι κάποιοι θα γίνουν σκελετοί και ακόμα θα περιμένουν το BCH/BSV να εκτοπίσει το BTC, α λα Apple (iPhone/smartphone leader) vs Nokia (90s/dumbphone leader)...  |

Regarding the block size equilibrium, what about having a variable block size (like XMR does)? Would it be better than a fixed limit?
IIRC, last time I checked it was pretty small (~100KB), but it can go higher than that (not sure how much).
Still though, even this solution would require a hard fork and maybe it would invite even more Ordinals...

Like you said, but to illustrate more, let's pretend that it's a CBDC World with NO cash/paper-money. How can you buy Heroine from Mr. Drug Dealer? It's a risk because your identity is tied in your every transaction in CBDC, plus a central entity can censor the transaction AND lock you out of your account because you made an illegal transaction. I am very confident Bitcoin will have value, REAL VALUE in such a world. BTC with LN (CLN/BOLT12 privacy extensions) and Monero/XMR... |

Εννοεις peer to peer ? Δωσε εναν πιο ακριβη ορισμο για να καταλαβω σε τι θα πρεπει να αντιπαρατεθω .
Εννοώ ένα peer-to-peer δίκτυο filesharing, που αντί για BitTorrent (στο οποίο ο χρήστης κατεβάζει μόνο ότι θέλει) πρέπει να κατεβάσει όλα τα προηγούμενα αρχεία, γιατί... θέλεις το αρχείο σου να παραμείνει για πάντα; Μου φαίνεται εντελώς χαζό σαν concept. Αν θέλεις filesharing υπάρχει το BitTorrent. Αν θέλεις censorship resistance στο filesharing υπάρχει το Tor. Υπάρχει και το IPFS για NFTs (στο ETH αν θυμάμαι καλά). |

Αν δεν υπάρχουν on-chain transactions, δεν θα χρησιμοποιήσεις το lightning, γιατί το on-chain fee θα είναι μηδαμινό. Lightning θα χρησιμοποιήσεις αν έχει γεμίσει το mempool, το οποίο σημαίνει πως οι miners έχουν εξασφαλισμένο εισόδημα. Αυτό μου θυμίζει το hashing difficulty vs fiat price. Είναι ένα αυτορυθμιζόμενο σύστημα. Κρίμα που ο anonυμος no-coiner δεν το κατάλαβε ποτέ. Πάντως θα χρειαστούν 36 χρόνια για να ανοίξουν LN κανάλια για 8 δις ανθρώπους, οπότε δεν βλέπω να σταματάνε οι on-chain συναλλαγές any time soon... τσάμπα FUD λοιπόν. Πιστεύεις ότι το BSV θα περάσει το BTC; Σοβαρά, πιστεύεις αυτό το πράγμα;
Γιατί όχι; Εδώ ο άλλος στους Dragons πιστεύει ότι το Lamponio θα γίνει το επόμενο iPhone! |

Most people in the world aspire to slavery, not to freedom. The CBDC project can be very successful.
People are actively moving away from cash, despite the fact that cash is a real freedom and lack of control from governments and banks. Currently, people are actively using bank cards, with the help of which commercial banks can track all the expenses and incomes of their customers.
CBDC is just a further evolution of cashless payments.
At the same time, this is a real opportunity for the state to build a financial system that will allow the government to effectively intervene in the economic processes in the country.
I have to say cash is not freedom, neither bank cards obviously, and nor CBDC will be. None of them are the real "freedom" that we need. Bitcoin is sort of there, it's not fully there but it is decentralized so it is by far the best one out there so far, and it will stay like that until something better comes along. Freedom is not given to us but we need to take it, nobody would give up their billionaire life and government overwatch just because they should, they give it up because you force them to. And in order to do that we need something even better than bitcoin, but it is at least better than anything in the fiat world, and that's something. In my opinion, cash is the best money for people who value their freedom. Previously, cash was made from gold and silver. Since gold and silver are precious metals, no tyrant in the world has ever had the opportunity to devalue your money. Yes, he could kill you and take your money, but he couldn't devalue it. Then the money began to be issued in paper form, and then it was announced that banknotes were no longer backed by gold and could not be exchanged in the Central Bank for gold bars. This has allowed governments to devalue your money through inflation. A bit contradictory, isn't it? Nobody can devalue BTC in the long term... |

Why do you ask me? Ask people who take loans for that purpose. Because it is your advice in a topic with a question if someone can take a loan for investing in bitcoin. If you say yes in case of 100% certainty then I'm wonder how can that 100% certainty be reached. If you have no clue then how can you give such an advise? I suppose it is impossible so I want to warn people who might want to try to follow your advice. And I hope none is taken loan basing in such idea so I hardly can ask anyone who did. Again: you should ask people who take loans, not me. If someone is 99,99% sure, he should not take a loan. Don't ask me how is 100% possible, ask people who take loans, because I don't! |

Από πότε οι πολυεθνικές φανερώνουν κάθε περιουσιακό στοιχείο και στρατηγική; Εδώ να υπενθυμίσω ότι η Tesla αγόρασε 1,5 δις $ σε BTC τον Δεκέμβρη του 2020, όμως δεν το ανακοίνωσε αμέσως, αλλά μήνες μετά. Γιατί άραγε; Κάποιοι έχουν ανεπάρκεια γνώσης ΚΑΙ του πως σκέφτεται η Ελίτ. Κι εγώ αν είχα μερικά δις $ εύκαιρα και πρόθεση αγοράς BTC, δεν θα το βροντοφώναζα από τα παράθυρα. Θα αγόραζα φτηνά λίγο-λίγο σε βάθος μηνών για να μην ανέβει απότομα η τιμή και μόλις τελείωνα τις αγορές μου, τότε και μόνο τότε θα έβγαζα ανακοίνωση. Ούτε αυτά τα απλά δεν καταλαβαίνουν μερικοί... Όσο για την Mastercard και τις εμπορικές τράπεζες δεν είναι εχθροί (ούτε αυτό δεν καταλαβαίνουν), γιατί αύριο μεθαύριο με τα CBDC ενδέχεται οι κεντρικές τράπεζες να πετάξουν κάθε μεσάζοντα εκτός συστήματος. Είναι που είναι centralized το όλο fiat σύστημα, θέλουν να το κάνουν ακόμα πιο centralized από ότι ήδη είναι... Γι'αυτό η Mastercard κοιτάει το αύριο και χτίζει το δικό της Plan B. Γνωρίζουν ότι στο μέλλον δεν θα υπάρχουν καν κάρτες. Για να έχει θέση λοιπόν σε αυτό το μέλλον, θα πρέπει να βρει άλλο πεδίο δράσης. Το αυτό και για τις εμπορικές τράπεζες. Ο εχθρός είναι οι κεντρικές τράπεζες και πιο συγκεκριμένα η FED που έχει βυθίσει σε ύφεση όλο τον πλανήτη, ανοιγοκλείνοντας την κάνουλα της ρευστότητας κατά το δοκούν. Αυτό πρέπει να σταματήσει και θα σταματήσει. Μόνο κακόβουλοι και άσχετοι παρερμηνεύουν σκόπιμα ό,τι γράφω, ενώ είμαι σαφέστατος. |

Περίμενες κάτι καλύτερο; Εδώ ο παιδοβιαστής αρχηγός του επέμενε ότι το πολύ μέχρι το 2019 το Bitcoin θα πήγαινε στο μηδέν... Θα φτάσουμε 2030 και ακόμα θα συζητάμε τα ίδια και τα ίδια, αφού θα έχουμε ζήσει 2 bull runs ακόμα. ΑΝ θα υπάρχει BSV κιόλας μέχρι τότε... |

And how can you be sure in that? If you are not a clairvoyant you have no real way of being sure in anything in crypto market: I've seen no one here who didn't make any mistake in predictions. You can guess one time and be wrong the next time. And even while we in majority believe that bitcoin will grow we don't really know how soon will it grow, what will be a path to ATH, etc. You can never be 100% sure. Why do you ask me? Ask people who take loans for that purpose. |
