A little too early for polling. Winner might not be in the race yet.

That is my hope...Scott Walker all the way!

Really no need to ever mix coins...this thread was started by someone advertising a bitmixing service, seems like a clear agenda to me to scare people into thinking there is some kind od necessity in doing such a thing.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Вo you protect your anonymity? on: May 10, 2015, 02:29:09 AM

Why would there be a need to be anonymous? As long as you have a secure connection and secured wallet, who cares?

Rand spoke at Arizona State University yesterday to an audience of about 600+, too bad is was finals' week and a friday but decent and diverse crowd nonetheless.

Not bad...draws almost as many people as Joe Biden.  Wink
466  Other / Politics & Society / Re: palestine & Israel? What do you think about that situation? on: May 09, 2015, 03:08:42 AM
the Palestinian position is that they are open to the idea of land swaps

Well of course they are, now...they should have accepted the land offered to them in '47...

Israel shouldn't have annexed all that land since 1947. How can you expect a people to just allow someone to come into their homeland and demand land without some sort of dispute or hate.

A-rabs learned a valuable lesson...don't mess with Israel.   Cheesy
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: May 09, 2015, 01:03:25 AM
Litecoin!

If bitcoin ever gets a new rally, watch litecoin closely. Litecoin will go higher in terms of folding.

Litecoin should enjoy a nice boost a lot sooner than BTC due to the upcoming halving.
Long term, obviously, BTC will always be ahead. But from a purely speculative standpoint- the next 4 months should show LTC with much higher gains.

There are a lot of Obama supporters who essentially do worship him. You can find videos of them online getting their children singing hymns to Obama. Fucking scary.

I'm more afraid of the people worshiping Eric Holder... Undecided

oh well
apparently, its obviously the end time is near litecoin

It is fair to assume that Litecoin had more Volume for the past year than all other altcoins put together

Bitcoins volume for the past year is:       8,468,688,540
Litecoins volume for the past year is:        996,423,306
Ripple, Dash, Stellar, Maidsave, Dogecoin,
nxt, Bitshares and Monero together is:       739,943,271

the remaining low volume coins unlikely make a the difference
bitshare and stellar not a full years data and dogecoin is nowhere near its crazy spikes anymore

And the same with Bitcoin included

Average of the year for the coins

trading vol from where though? not all trading in btc ltc is done via the well know exchanges. including off exchanges trading litecoin really swamps all other alts combined.
This is only data from cmc, does not include fee-less trading or off exchange trades.

Too bad Earthcoin didn't make it up there...I'd be a rich, rich man (instead of holding millions of worthless alts).

This is an interesting point. It's always been part of the negotiation that Israeli settlers won't be allowed to stay in what becomes Palestine, and yet it seems out of the question to expel Arabs from Israel. This makes sense, of course. Arabs know they're reasonably safe in Israel and have political rights. Everyone knows that Jews who remain in the new Palestine without Israel's explicit protection will be massacred.

But think about what this implies.

Yes, that's true. How then should Israel go about giving away their land to "palestinians" for a 2-state solution knowing full well it would result in mass Jewish murders?

476  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Amagi Metals - Best Prices of Gold, Silver, & Platinum for Bitcoins on: May 05, 2015, 04:37:50 PM
We are excited to announce our new partnership with Anthem Vault, a company that has revolutionized the gold and silver-storing process. Amagi customers can now receive perks when signing up for storage services.

https://www.amagimetals.com/info/amagi-metals-partners-with-anthem-vaults/

Why would people want to allow some company to hold on to their gold (or any precious metals) instead of keeping it in their own possession? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of possessing  physical assets?

If the company is legit (registered, licenced etc) and the assets held on behalf of customers are insured, then why not? Would you feel safe holding large amount of gold in your own house? Most people wouldn't and they'd rather use bank safe-deposit boxes, so trusting 3rd party.

Maybe it's a lack of trust, don't know, but I feel more secure with my valuables locked up in my own safe. Bolted in, fire safe, double key lock and combo.
Something about a third party holding what is mine makes it feel too much like a bank. My physical holdings are to counter the banks.

480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens with Coin collectors and people into Numismatics? on: April 20, 2015, 01:37:24 AM
I was just thinking about this today...

There are so many people employed in Numismatics. { http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numismatics } and we also have many hobbyists, who collects coins.

When digital currencies take over from physical fiat currencies... {eventually they will... minting is just too expensive} ... What will these industries do?

How do they adapt?

There are other industries like this, who are going the same route ...example being the printing press... and Digital media.

It is kind of sad, to think about the legacy of these fiat currencies and what the new technology might be destroying.  Sad

Numismatics collect for the beauty, history, uniqueness, etc. of various coins and currency notes. Neither will have any long lasting effect on the other (outside of retail sales).
